I have had an account with GHCU for well over a decade now, and while I can definitely say they have treated me fairly well in person and my interest rates are extremely low, theyre system for online banking and security is one of the most archaic and out of date that Ive ever seen. Fraud prevention and alerts lead you to help centers that regularly dont connect, or hang up unexpectededly, their online banking can go down for days leaving members in the dark about their accounts, and and youre never guaranteed to reach someone for help even during open hours. As Ive said, Im happy with the rates I get through GHCU, but if opening accounts at bigger more reliable banks gave the same rates, I would have left in a heartbeat.

I have had nothing but positive experiences with GHCU!!! Kelly Masnica in the loan department has been the most helpful person with my auto loans. She is incredibly personable and her customer service is always amazing! I have always felt prioritized and financially taken care of when working with GHCU. It was not a typical request but he worked at it until he was able to complete the task. He went above and beyond what many people would do. He was very pleasant and patient with me. I love Glacier Hills Credit Union, they will do everything and anything to try to help everyone to get a loan. Im one of them, they gave me a second chance at a loan. My credit is good, but they bent over backwards to help me. They have saved me so much money, there is a light on the other side of the tunnel. I only make payments here for a shared branch. But I wont ever be taking my business there. Rude teller who was so annoyed I used there change counter, even though they take 10%...Didnt even count my money and missed some of my change....I would rather drive to Milwauke to my credit union who treats me with respect....Your response misses the whole point. I didnt care about the 10% charge. Already knew that was the case. IT was all about the interaction and lack of respect. I am assuming this is why the customer service isnt great. Youre worried about the absolute wrong thing.

This was our first experience with Glacier Hills. We went in to get details about, and to apply for a vehicle loan and in less than an hour had the information we wanted, completed a loan application, opened an account, and got full details about a vehicle warranty. Everyone we met was very pleasant and made sure all our questions and concerns were addressed. We were pleasantly surprised that the rates for the loan and warranty were less than what we had found at the other businesses we had talked to. Thank you to everyone who made our experience so easy; we would highly recommend their services to anyone looking for a loan or service contract. Well done!

Customer service sucks. One late payment in over two years and they wont waive the late fee. Spent 15 minutes on the phone just to be told that they cant draft the payment from my other account. So I would have to pay an additional $10 fee to use my debit card. Well its already late so I guess you can just wait for the check in the mail. What a joke!

Worse bank ever, customer service is trash. They have Part timers who email you about important things and never get back to you in over a week. I had this bank for over 10 years and these last few year it went downhill. Their interest rates are way higher than other credit unions.

I would just like to update my review here and reiterate how much I hate this stupid credit Union. Original review: Poor loan quality and information. They will lie and tell you there are no better options than what they have. Its not true, go check other places. *Edit in response I believe you may need to teach your loan officers not to flat out lie to your customers then. Try to be helpful instead of downright hurtful.

Poor Customer Service. Long time member 20+ years. I was in the market to buy my first home so my first choice was my local credit union. I called and got a pre-approval letter right away. Great! The follow week, after I got an accepted offer, I reached out to Glacier Hills to continue the process. I called 3 days in a row and left 2 voicemails. It took 3 business days + 1 weekend before I got a call back. When I did speak with someone I was met with very poor customer service. I explained my situation and my needs and they replied: we don t do that . I rephrased my inquiry and was bluntly told: we can t help you . The loan rep then said BYE and hung up! The entire phone call was less than 1 minute. Never once apologized for the 3 day delay in returning my call, never offered or tried to accommodate in any other way and never once said thank you for calling or choosing Glacier Hills Credit Union. I m not sure it was their intent but this made me feel very bad. Any customer service interaction ultimately comes down to how you make your customers feel; regardless if you can offer them your service or not or accommodate their request or not. I won t call this person out by name because sadly I feel this is a reflection of the company culture as a whole. This is the second negative experience I ve had in the last month with two different people. I am APPALLED by the lack of professionalism I experienced. *Edit to Owners response* Thank you for your response. You addressed everything about my experience except for the poor customer service. To be a 20+ year member and then not be given 2 minutes of your time is the moral of the review. There is no excuse for being short and rude. The next day I reached out to another credit union and the person I spoke to took the time to explain that this is a special circumstance and would also not be able to provide the loan. Overall it was a pleasant, positive and informative experience and they even directed me to an Organization that may be able to fit my needs

Since opening an account with Glacier Hills CU this is my experience. Attitudes when I call, mistakes made on my loan, not following through with what I ask of them, had to explain how loan amortization works to the loan officer.... lastly I sent a few customers of mine in the beginning but quickly found out that was a mistake.

Been a member here for 30+ years, but things have been sliding faster and faster downhill since they switched online platforms and farmed out their credit cards to a different vendor a couple years ago. Im all for change, especially if it saves money, but not when service/user friendliness suffers because of it. Lately, account messages and emails go unanswered for weeks (and counting). When you connect with someone on the phone youre given misinformation. I never thought Id say this about GHCU, but there are much better options out there. Looks like its time to take the rest of my financial business elsewhere.

Spent forever on hold on one # on the card I was told to call when I went to the bank. Called the 2nd # and was told that number wouldnt help. Getting a loan is easy and the rates are great. Everyday banking is not the same. I had to stop payment on one check for the first time in several years of being a customer and they refused to waive the 30$ fee. Tried to patronize a local business for the hopes of local treatment. Their phone app is useless. Consumers are hurting these days, banks are not.

I was looking into a newer vehicle and I found one, that same day I notified my bank the next day I picked up my vehicle thats how quickly and efficiently they help. Elizabeth (loan officer), was very enthusiastic about getting the vehicle for me as quickly as possible. They refuse to provide their cash withdraw policy to their members. Im in contact with department of financial institutions. Im abiding by their policy but Allison still is argumentative and refusing to abide by their policy and trys to change it verbally but wont provide any proof what she says is what it is. And then tries to intimidate by pretending to call the police, then once i prove that she has to abide, she does. But then she calls the police to make a false report of a disturbance. And then tells the police that they are closing all my accounts. I have checks out waiting to be cashed. Whats to come of those? I was trying to slowly close my accounts due to this reason, but she refused to understand what I was saying and instead just argued. No solutions. No standing up for the customer. She did alot of comparing to Westbury. Sorry I thought I was at glacier hills..... No disturbance was made, I walked in, requested my money according to their policy, and SHE created the disturbance. I have it all on video for anybody who wants to see it. I recommend nobody use this institution. They also sell your mortgage and dont tell you UNTIL you jump through all the hoops and are signing the papers oh by the way, youll be paying this company in Minnesota Shady Shady Shady. They also charge you for inactivity on savings accounts. Oh Im sorry I thought a savings account was for.......savings...? Whole fiasco could have been avoided. But Allison chose to escalate the situation. Word of mouth is huge and ill be spreading the video and my story. *reply to their reply- no, we could have simply parted ways. But Allison has broken state statutes.(which state statute states that whomever doesnt abide by policy must be terminated) I simply told her why I was leaving- your ridiculous password policy and the response I received.- then to sit there and argue with me and try to cause a disturbance, and to try to intimidate me out of truth with threats of police action is far from manager material. Basic customer service- L.A.U.G.H- Listen, Acknowledge,Understand,Give Solutions, Happy- everyone leaves happy. None of that happened. All this could have been avoided if you guys understood the rules/law. Insurance states that YOU GUYS, meaning internally, must change your passwords within certain intervals. And that makes sense. But Nothing requiring every single customer to. You are aware that literally everybody uses fiserv right? This information is easily attainable.

I paid off my auto loan in April, called to stop the ach that I set up through them, they said they did not have the paperwork that I set that up through them. Said even if I paid off my loan they would see that and not pull money. Working at a bank myself I know this to be true, but not for them they have pulled money the last 2 months and have not released the lien on my title so i cant even sell my car. I am so sick of this bank and lack of technology i cant wait to move my accounts

I applied for an auto loan through this credit union and I had such a great experience with my loan specialist that I decided to open up a checking, savings, and credit card through this company.They have great interest rates. Worst mistake ever! I havent been able to access my online banking for about a week now. There excuse is their system is down due to the weather and to keep trying. Well its not working STILL and it is now 20 degrees outside and no snow. This is very inconvenient and by far ridiculous. I think I will be closing my accounts and staying with Kohler Credit Union.

Horrible bank. I dealt with the convenient tech change over right before the 1st of the month and the 4th of July, several we could not validate your information errors. I was told to call them and was put on hold and then hung up numerous times. How the heck am I suppose to keep track of my finances?! I am done. Never had I had such a bad experience with a bank.

I cannot share enough about the GREAT service I got from start to finish. From how easy it was to apply online to my interactions with Kelly to close the loan. Then I made an address mistake and Gabrielle and Sam took it upon themselves to reship my plates and registration to me. Not only that, but have kept me updated along the way. I will always continue to use Glacier Hills because of their customer service!!!

10 days into so-called update,not able to talk to a real person. Cant check all my balances.Hours of wasted time on phone, constantly getting disconnected.33 year member might not make 34. Up date 8/24/20 what used to take 4 minutes now takes 12 great job on screwing up a good system.

Until they started this transition we loved this CU! Have had accounts here for at least 10 years. Now, we cannot get into an estate account to move some money and from our personal account now know that they are going to charge an overdraft fee. We are summit members and in the past money is just moved to checking from savings to cover. If we were informed of this somewhere I am not aware of it. Have been calling there for 3 days and getting nowhere. Yesterday we went to the drive up and supposedly got the info needed to get into the estate account. Nope! Didnt work. So calling this morning and I am first in line! WOW! may finally get in. On hold listening to the music, ads, and I am still first in line. After 10 minutes get told mailbox is full and disconnected! Called back and then am 7th in line. This transition was definitely not well planned. Am now able to get into both accounts. We used to be able to EASILY move money from checking or savings into our credit card account to pay the bill. I have now paid, or so I thought, 2 charges. One was on Saturday so think = THINK - that may show up as paid on Monday. The other one was from Thursday and does not show as paid. Now I dont know if I should try to pay those charges again, or wait and see what happens, or try to get through to them again tomorrow. Seriously if you are considering opening as account here, wait at least a month until they have the bugs worked out of their new, better, and for our benefit system. I have yet to see that at all!

I opened an account 2 weeks ago and still havent received a call about my debit card or received one in the mail. I also have not been able to get through calling them. Also I cannot sign up for the online banking! And lastly they did 2 hard inquiries on my credit without permission after the first and still denied an auto loan with a decent score! I am regretting opening accounts here. Just waited on the phone from caller 13 down to 1 then it rang and went to the 2nd in line then it rang and said vm are full goodbye. That was an hour of waisted time listening to terrible music. I want my DAMN debit card or Im coming to close my newly opened accounts already. 7/13/20 430pm

First time experience with this bank and unimpressed. Very unprofessional with lack of functioning technology. Education provided to staff within the organization is inconsistent with zero follow through on promises. Multiple mistakes made; this is frightening during these challenging financial times, especially from a bank!!!! Steer clear and look else-ware if shopping around for a bank. Half the time phones dont even connect and voicemail boxes are full. Dont let their local, family friendly advertising fool you. STAY AWAY!!!!

Not very happy with there so called smooth transition. They hang up on you . I can t see what my paycheck is going to be ahead of time and I can t transfer to another member account (ask) my children s account like I use to what bs. I know a lot of people are switching because of this . Sorry but your about to lose a lot of customers.

The loan department is amazing! Highly responsive and friendly. I ve been banking with them for years and I honestly don t see myself going to any other bank. Almost anything is negotiable with this bank and you always have someone who can answer your question. 10/10 would recommend if you re looking for a new bank in the area!

I have banked here since it was in the West Bend Co. I have never banked anywhere else and have never had an issue with anything. I dont live in West Bend and still bank there. My car loan is through them and they are fantastic to work with. I would highly recommend them. Granted, I do not go there ever so I can not speak for the tellers. But anyone I ever have dealt with has been nothing but nice. I used to call weekly to get my balance and see if something was deposited and they knew me by name!

One week in the. Area. Two visits to the credit union and I am looking for a new credit union. My initial visit went well. However, some of the charges surprised me. Calling too often seems to be a problem. They charge for that. I went in to get help with setting up bill pay. Wow. The teller was very polite but couldnt help me so she asked her supervisor. She was very rude and disrespectfully. Facial expressions and body language showed how irritated she was because I bothered her . I banked with Summited Credit Union for ten years and cant rate them high enough.

Banked here for 10 years. Clearly they have a target market of giving loans to people who can t afford them. I cash $15,000 - $40,000 a MONTH and they want zero participation in personal growth/business growth. Absolutely disappointed. I asked for $10,000 to build credit and got denied. Then got smirked off by not only the loan lady, but her boss as well. Bank is great if no1 else will fund you. They will jump to the front of the line to take advantage of a high interest rate loan. But...... If you have money and want a bank that appreciates it, use a local state bank. Funding this bank for zero in return is what you will get. I am currently in the process of cancelling all person / business accounts.

I would give them 0 stars if Google would let me. I am not a member, but new the area and would have had no problem opening an account. I stopped in the West Bend location by Mejers where I was told by their front desk person that they do not make appointments for their loan officers, she told me I could wait and she could call up stairs and I could apply for the loan in the lobby (this such a breach of my privacy to have to give out my social security number in a busy lobby to apply for a loan). I was then told that I could apply on line, which is what I did. I said that I would be fine to be contacted by email, no one bothered to call me or to email me. I ended up having to call and got transferred around in their automated system where I was told over and over again that I was the first caller in the queue only to be transferred to another automated system. I finally got a hold of someone, and she told me that when you apply online that your application can get lost and they have to manually search for it. Really? Lost? Yet they are pulling your credit immediately but your application gets lost! She finally found my application which was assigned to loan officer Jessica, who never bothered to follow up with me. Needless to say, Im not interested in doing business with you as it seems you have a long way to go to be customer orientated. I passed on their loan offer after I was hung up on by the receptionist who gave me the status update. I still have not heard a word from Jessica.

Tellers are sometimes rude as all hell. They also apparently have no idea what theyre doing either. Beware, if you go here, one person will tell you one thing, then later another person will tell you, we dont do that here. Skip the frustration, go to a real bank/credit union.

I have been banking with Glacier Hills for several years, both for my personal accounts and for my business and I couldnt be happier. I really feel welcome when I go there. The staff all know me by name and some have even become my customers. I was a little hesitant switching from a bank to a credit union, but they made the transition as smooth as can be, and I know they want me as a member, and dont just want my money.

Had a check cashed from a side job I have, from someone I went to high school with. The teller then asked co wokers of they all make a small wadge like me (this was just a check no stub. So no hourly rate is displayed. The check was compensating the 4 hours of work I did) I then reported this to the manager or hr. Dont remember. And they have done nothing that I known of. Now I refuse to walk into the building afraid of more of my personal information becming public .

My first 2 auto loan experiences were great, everything went very smoothly-got the paperwork done quickly got the check to the seller in a timely manner-things were good. So I didnt hesitate to get my latest auto loan through them, I have been handed off to 2 different loan specialists-being told that the previous ones were too busy. Once I was situated with a loan officer I could never get a hold of him. I called repeatedly and left messages and emails for about 2 weeks before I was finally able to sign the papers. I was then told that I would receive a phone call or email letting me know when the check was ready so I could get my vehicle. 1 week and 4 phone calls from me later and I finally went in to the branch and was told that the check had been waiting for me. All I have to say about this experience is thank goodness my vehicle situation wasnt critical. I cant say that I will ever use their services again.

The credit union has great loan rates and the process for obtaining financing wasnt a hassle. The loan officer was great and was trying to get me to move my accounts to the credit union. Upon making my very first payment one evening I was approached by not one but two rude tellers at the facility. The tone and customer service was horrible that I will only be doing my auto loans through the credit union.
