He worked to actually provide information and educate on any topic he could rather than trying to close on the mortgage through him as quick as possible. His goals are to educate homebuyers. A great experience having Steven Fujita as my mortgage advisor! Steven is very good at his job. As a first time home buyer, what I appreciated most was the time and care he took to communicate and explain things in a clear manner. We never met in person, but I felt like he genuinely cared about me as a client and had my best interests at heart. He was never pushy, even when I decided to put down a larger down payment than originally discussed, therefore decreasing the loan amount. He made sure I knew what that meant and wanted me to be comfortable with my decision. We worked with Keith as our lender for our first home purchase in Seattle in the Queen Anne neighborhood. From the get-go, he inspired trust and he was extremely reliable and efficient and communicated clearly. If you are purchasing in Washington state you need to have Kieth on your team. Starting the process with Keith, he got to know the goals and ambitions with our purchase and even future plans. Next Keith inquired about our financial backgrounds and based on all the information came up with several strategies to get the best rate and best type of loan. I would recommend to share the goals with Keith and he will engineer the best and most optimal way forward. Keith also has an extremely quick turn-around times and set processes that make a purchase offer extremely strong. Another very strong suite is the communication. Keith and team are very responsive and very proactive with all the communication. 100% recommend!

Buying your first house is a pretty tiring process, specially with the amount of information that you must absorb the first days. Contacting some lenders was a pretty stressful part because we had no idea what was required and multiple entitled lenders treat you like theyre doing you a favor rather than understanding the nature of the benefit on both sides. This was not the case with Keith. Keith had an hour introduction call where he explained to us hows the process going to look (from the lender, buyer and seller perspective) and he was basically holding our hand in the whole process. After talking to him and comparing it with the previous bad experiences, didnt want to talk to anyone anymore. Keith suggested us whats the deal that benefit us the most (rather than offering whats better for him) and we were so happy because on top of that, the rates were unbeatable. Our financial advisor suggested to ask for a different type of loan and Keith recorded a 10-15 minutes for him explaining why in the long term it was going to hurt us more (with numbers, charts and everything you can imagine) and our financial advisor agreed with him. Thats the level of commitment that Keith has. On top of everything, Keith worked very hard to give us a cheaper deal than initial, which we were more than satisfied. Keith and Sara usually answer within minutes every single question you might have and treat you like family. The amount of money youre requesting, no matter what, its not little Keith knows that and he makes sure to treat you with the respect you deserve. I would and will keep working with Keith because his job is awesome. Thank you for everything!

This review of Keith Akada is way overdue and I am mad at myself for not doing this sooner. If you are one of those that need confirmation or research on Keiths commitment to be an advocate or whether Keith can handle one of the most important financial transaction of your life, you are at the right place. Yes, I am a real client and not a robot! I was overseas in 2017 and needed to move back so I was referred to Keith. I had excellent credit but the lapse from living in the US and a brand new job made my loan app very complicated. The lender needed income and employment proof from the country i worked to be translated and notarized. It was a nightmare but Keith stuck with us all the way and made the process less painful. He was my biggest advocate when I needed one. Keith is smart, professional, diligent and an expert on the single thing you need him for in this competitive market. Financing a home? Work with Keith Akada. I promise, hell take care of you. Keith (and Sara Shedd at Fairway) gave us some of the most impressive customer service Ive ever experienced. As so many know, the home-buying experience can be a mountain of uncertainty, worry, and stress, and the financing can be extra-special maddening. Heres our story: We received our pre-approval under another company but, when their interest rates came in they were too high *and* we were less than twelve hours from a major announcement by the Fed which threatened to bump interest rates even higher. Keith responded to our call for a more competitive quote, worked with us until 1am and then again starting at 7am, and got the whole loan locked before the Fed moved the interest rate... and mortgage rates followed by a quarter percent. Our timing was make-or-break, and Keith made it, saving us many thousands per year, as much as 0.9625% below the worst-case scenario we might have been facing. His service didnt stop there. Throughout the process, he fought for us when a fight was needed, and at every step he communicated clearly, openly, and honestly with us. Keith didnt simply model what an ideal Loan Officer should do; he modeled what anyone in customer service should do. Thank you, Keith!

Keith and his team were great to work with throughout the entire home buying process. As a first-time homebuyer I naturally had a lot of questions, and Keith was always there to exhaustively answer each of them in a timely manner, no matter the time of day (or night). Compared to many of the larger name-brand companies, one thing that sets Keith and Mortgage Reel apart is their ability to close a loan within a significantly shorter time period than the standard 30-day time frame (10 business days in my case), helping to create a more competitive offer. Rather than try to push me to a higher number for what kind of offer I could feasibly make, Keith took my input of what I could comfortably afford on a monthly basis and worked the math back from there, showing the breakdown of monthly costs/fees given the current market conditions as well as an estimate of closing costs. As first time home buyers, my wife and I were honestly very overwhelmed and a bit intimidated with the process. Reflecting back on the home buying process as a whole, it was very fast paced and stressful. Despite that, our time spent with Keith always get very comfortable and calm. We felt like we had Keith s full attention and that we were setting the pace, which allowed us to ask all of the questions that came to our mind. Keith was referred to us by our Redfin agent and we couldnt have been happier to work with him and Sara. Keith jumped on a call with us at 8pm the night after we found our dream house and worked with us for over an hour to get our preapproval set up. We have worked with Keith Akada twice, first when we purchased our home in 2019 and again recently when we refinanced, and absolutely recommend him and his team. Keith went above and beyond during our home purchase. Our initial financing fell through, and we were having a hard time getting a good rate because lenders considered me an out of state investor due to my job being located in SF even though I would be living in Seattle (this was pre-Pandemic). It was only a few weeks from closing and we were straight up panicking that the deal would fall through and we would have no place to live. Keith escalated things all the way up through corporate of his organization, and even contacted his competitors to try and get a better rate for us to make sure that the deal didnt fall through. That is some serious dedication! Eventually he found us a great rate, and we closed on time. He contacted us a few months ago to let us know that the rates were lower than our current mortgage, and we refinanced and are now saving over $600 a month. I contacted the mortgage reel because of their five star rating. I emailed, went on their website and filled out the application and never received any contact from them. I followed up with an email at least a week later, someone got back to me finally a week after that. They said they couldn t personally answer any questions for me and would have to have another person in charge call me. They never did. I reached out in every option they had and got no service.

Buying a new home can be a big, daunting process -- especially for a first time home buyer. Keith took the time to walk me through the process, the interest rate trends, and every single line item on my closing worksheet so that I felt comfortable and educated throughout the process. He is a clear and responsive communicator, and helped me navigate some last-minute hurdles on the eve of closing. Even in this very busy home-buying market, I never once felt like he had other clients he was prioritizing over me. I honestly couldnt have done it without him, and Id hands-down recommend him to anyone looking to purchase a home.

Even though we started our home buying process during the first month of Covid-19, Steven worked diligently, was very knowledgeable and communicated with us on a timely manner. He took the time to explain the process to us and we didn t feel rushed at all to make a decision. When it came time for closing, Steven and Naomi worked together seamlessly. There were some hiccups with obtaining documents for the underwriter, but the team didn t seem worried at all and they did all they could on their end to keep us on track for our closing date. We feel blessed to have Steven and Naomi on our side because we were one out of three homeowners that were able to close on time in our community. We definitely highly recommend Steven and Naomi at Fairway to our family and friends!

This was our third time working with Steven and his team and as always it was a great experience! Steven helped us buy our first home 3 years ago and helped us buy our second home about a year ago, and just now helped us refinance because the rates have been so good! We really value Stevens expertise and total transparency throughout the whole process. Naomi who helped us though the during the process is excellent at keeping us informed on where we are at in the transaction and making sure the loan goes smoothly, and an issues resolved quickly! This process has been a breeze because of them, we would recommend them to anyone who is looking to buy a home or refinance.

Steven made the whole experience of applying for a mortgage for the first time so much easier and less stressful than it could have been. He made sure that I stayed within budget and that I wasn t going to get myself into something I wasn t going to be able to handle later down the road. I worked with Keith and Sarah recently (March 2020) and could not be happier. I started by getting pre-approved by some of the larger institutions, but very quickly realized that was not going to work out. The Seattle market is tough and we needed to react fast to get what we wanted. It took me almost 3 days to get a hold of someone elsewhere, whereas both Keith and Sarah are extremely responsive. No only that, but Keith had conversation with our real estate agent on how he could help with the process and even contacted the leasing agent when we made an offer to ensure them that our loan was all but approved and we were in great shape., Keith is also very knowlege-able and I found the experience educational. We contacted Steven during a time of extremely high refi volume. Some of the other lenders we contacted responded days or weeks later, long after we had locked in a very competitive rate. Steven and Naomi were great to work with throughout the process, making it very easy with clear communication and quick responses when we had questions. This was our first refinance experience, and Steven also took the time to educate us upfront on what to expect.

Keith Akada exceeded expectations and protected my best interest throughout the process. His emphasis on education of the mortgage process/market was invaluable, and the rate he got me was killer. Keiths experience on both sides of real estate transactions gave me confidence that I understood every moving piece as well as how to negotiate effectively with the seller. From multi-hour calls (as late as 9PM sometimes) coaching me on offer strategy and loan structure to precise estimates of closing & monthly costs, Keith was instrumental in helping us close on a first home we love at terms that we understood deeply and were comfortable with. He was tenacious on getting every detail right, making sure we were informed and comfortable, and pushing us through to close. Keith slept less than we did throughout the process, and Im very appreciative of that. Same goes for Sara. I would easily recommend to any home buyer, especially first time home buyers & buyers of new construction.

Keith was great in keeping me updated throughout the whole mortgage process. He readily answers any questions I have, even taking calls after office hours. He went above and beyond in helping me go through the process seamlessly. We encountered some issue because of my special situation and he did a lot of research to make sure we overcome it. He really did all the work, and such a great job too, and we successfully closed our home purchase in just 2 weeks!

I had Keith as my agent and would have him again in the future. He was able to expedite closing to 3 weeks and answered emails within a half-hour for queries at arbitrary times throughout the day. He was always available by phone and extremely courteous. He provided all the service that matters. He found me an above-average interest rate, provided information and discussed choices available to me as appropriate. He understands the home buying process in enough detail that he was able to answer some cross-cutting questions I had, or direct me to the appropriate resource. He earned this 5-star rating.

I would highly recommend Keith Akada for refinancing or helping with mortgage payments. There was a delay during my process due to the VA regulations. However it didnt stop Keith from explaining and helping us with our financing process. If I could give a 10 star review I would! If you are looking for a lender that can get the job done, then Keith is the one to call! He has jumped in to deals that were falling apart because other lenders didnt know what they were doing or over promised and he always saves the day. We highly recommend Keith Akada!!!

We closed on our house back in July. We are the type of people that do a lot of research before we make a big purchase and like to know all the details. After getting quotes from 5 different mortgage companies (because thats what we read we were supposed to do,) we decided to go with Keith and his team. Keith spent hours with us explaining the process, all the costs, and the real estate market trends in general. More than that, he was an invaluable resource as we were going through the searching and offer phase. He has great insight into the market and provided a welcome counter-balance to our agent who was very aggressive in the offers. We would definitely go through Keith again and cant recommend him highly enough. If you also think you need to get 5 quotes, you can ignore that advice and just go with Keith and Mortgage Reel.
