I started shopping mortgage rates on Saturday, calling all mortgage loan officers with excellent reviews. Not so many loan officers are available during weekends but Dan Chapmans office was open. On Monday I got several rates from different mortgage officers, but Dan was able to lock down the best rate (3.0 no points) for me. For free. Later it appeared to be the best rate I could have had during the last six months. Dan uses special and expensive software which gives real-time alerts for constantly changing mortgage rates and can provide the best rates to his clients. I decided to move on with Dan and it was the best decision I could make. Dan s team works like a clock. He provides a step-by-step plan with the schedule, so that you know what to expect in advance. Every commitment that his team gave (like document delivery or loan submission) was delivered strictly on the scheduled day. Dans team uses online software for document upload and filling. It is not ideal but simple and convenient. As a first-time buyer, I had a lot of questions during the process, and Dan was always happy to address all of them. If hes not available, he always calls back shortly. Needless to say, I closed on the date that Dan mentioned during the very first phone call with him. There was not a single issue during the process, so I recommend Dan to all my friends. With Dan you can get the best rates and service. It was an extremely easy process. Dan always communicated the next step so I knew what to expect. Ember had the file completely reviewed and prepped on a weekend before it went to underwriting. Their experience in this business and diligence is the only way this loan managed to close. And it went start to finish in 2 weeks and 2 days! Our loan was dropped by another bank on 3/19 and we were in a terrible spot. I applied 3/19 with Fairway and closed 4/5!! HIGHLY recommend!!

I went a little overboard shopping around for my mortgage lender. I had 6 preapprovals and based on those rates narrowed it down between Dan and one other. I happened to find my dream home on a holiday and wanted to submit my offer asap. When I called both lenders, Dan answered my call while on the top of a mountain during a family ski trip. The other lender told me they were closed. In a market that moves as quickly as Seattles does, you want a lender who will be there for you. I have to say that doing a refinance or financing a new home are not activities that make me smile. As someone who works in the Financial Services industry for some time, I am always looking for efficiencies for my clients and expect the same for myself. Dan is first class, efficient, and his team is on the ball. I even got email responses at 8 pm. I thought I was the only one who did that. Lets face it getting all of the documents together for a refinance is a real PIA, but Dan and his team are on target and following up. Here is the kicker. They do what they say they are going to do. Dan and his team were exceptional to work with, particularly as we were first-time home-buyers. He personally took the time to rush our pre-qual through so that we could submit a bid less than 24-48 hours after we provided him with the necessary information on a weekend (and clearly told us what was needed). Later, his teams reputation for delivering quickly helped us get our ultimate bid accepted. Once our offer had been accepted, Dan and his team operated quickly and kept us clearly informed at every step of the process. He was constantly watching rates and took the time to walk me through questions from a newbie. Being always available (even at the last minute, jumping on a call on a Sunday afternoon) and having a efficient, communicative team was awesome. Finally, Dan helped referred us to our agent, knew the sellers agent, and helped refer us to a contractor. That sort of local network was invaluable in the hot Eastside market. I switched from another lender to Dan when I decided to move from my first home to something a little bigger because my previous lender was sometimes slow to respond. In a hot housing market like Seattle, responsiveness is important! I was really pleased with Dans level of service - it was expedient and friendly, and I felt like I had him in my corner to get me the home I wanted and a loan at a good rate. He was patient in answering my questions, and his entire team were always easy to deal with. I would absolutely recommend the Dan Chapman team to any of my family and friends!

Dan and his team provided a personal, positive, and smooth experience. As a first time home buyer like myself, the entire home purchasing process can be extremely overwhelming and confusing. From the time when I first applied for the loan to our closing date, Dan has been nothing but helpful through the entire way. He made sure he clears out any point of confusion I had and always responded my email and texts promptly and professionally, even when hes on vacation! I have always thought getting a loan is the stressful part but Dan and his team definitely made it easy. On top of this, working with Dan certainly made our offers more competitive as hes able to close super fast. Our closing was faster than anticipated (about ten days!). Dan Chapman @ Fairway Independent Mortgage - I would highly recommend to my friends and family! Immediately, Dan was prompt, professional and friendly. Over 10 yrs this was my 3rd real estate transaction w/various modes of financing i.e. conventional banking, mortgage brokers, online lenders. Although, I have gone through the home buying gauntlet before it is still nerve racking when you feel everything is on the line. I was really nervous with the idea of purchasing my first home and with the whole loan process. From the moment I applied for preapproval to the moment I closed on my home sale Dan was always super response and took the time to answer all my questions about what was happening and what needed to happen when. I had applied with a few other lenders for preapproval but Dan was the only one who actually made me feel comfortable in what was happening and not just trying to get another customer. I honestly didnt think that the loan would be one of the easiest parts but it definitely was on the less stressful side. Super professional and super quick, Dan really did a great job. There were several issues with different things in my home buying process but we were still able to close on time and I definitely attribute part of that to Dan and how fast and responsive he was when helping me out. Definitely recommend, Dan is THE man! :)

I came across Dan while looking for reviews of the Fairway company online. And happened to read reviews for him. I must say, its been a pleasure working with him. He did handle my frustration with other lenders very patiently. As communicative as you like. Even attending calls while on vacation :). Getting a low rate is a lot dependent on the personal finances and credit history, and Dan works out the best options for your situation. I would not hesitate to give him a call anytime I am looking for refinancing or purchasing.

Ive known Dan Chapman for years. He is definitely one of the most knowledgeable in the Mortgage industry. He makes the process less stressfull as well as being able to create less work for yourself. He is very responsive to phone calls, e-mails or texts and makes you feel like youre loan is just as important as others. Dan is simply the best. He picked up our file after we were already in mutual acceptance on our house and our previous broker left his company. Dan didnt miss a beat and jumped in to save the day! He was very communicative and walked us through the entire process. He was available whenever we needed him and his team was also there to support. We were super nervous when our account was being transferred, as it was quite literally the worst timing, but Dan quickly made us feel like we were in good hands. And trust me, we were. I thought buying your first home was supposed to be hard, but Dan and his team at Fairway made the process so easy and straightforward that we were closing before it felt like we had begun. Our agent wanted to push for a more aggressive closing schedule (3 weeks!) to make our offer more appealing, and Dan made sure that we would hit that date, and we even closed a few days early! I have used Dan Chapman for both a home purchase and a refinance, and I must say that it was a great experience. He made my wife and I feel as if we were his top priority both times I worked with him. Im a vet, and he had the VA home loan side of things down, where some people usually struggle with those type of loans.
