This used to be my favorite location to go to. They used to be on the ball and provide fast and excellent customer service. The last 2 times I've had to go into the branch have been the worst. Today I had to wait 40+ minutes for a card to be printed. Meanwhile, other people who waited 5 minutes, received their card. Absolutely no accountability was taken or even a simple apology for wasting my time. All I got was that their machine was having issues. That was after me having to wait and find someone to help me again. That was after that person left me waiting more time without answers. It wasn't until a 'manager' asked if I'd been helped and all of a sudden out popped the other person stating the machine issues. Sadly, the manager just moved on as well and went on to get cards for other people.
I was then told that the machine was down. I questioned why people who requested after me received theirs and received no valid explanation, just a comment that they can try again.
I am baffled that they would think it's okay to send people away without a way to access their funds. And that they completely disregard their client's time.
In the end they gave me my card. And plot twist... it doesn't work. So I did end up leaving without being able to access my money.
They left me with no time to make it to another branch so they could actually help me. Definitely recommend this location if you have time to waste.

Got a loan super quick with very friendly staff but they neglected to say they were going to charge an extra $50 a month for an additional plan we didn't discuss. Now I've been on hold for over 30 minutes. Absolutely disgusted with their tactics and phone system.
*Update* After days of phone tag, finally got someone to help me via email. Filled out the forms/docusign and voila I thought it was fixed. Next month's statement - Nope. Still getting charged. The several people I've talked to who said this was resolved were really nice. All the staff have been really nice. But after weeks of charging their client(s) for services they don't want, I have to downgrade to one star.
**Update** Problem was solved after a 2-3 months. Up to 4 stars.

Trying to get helped here is like finding a needle in a Hay Stack. You might find it or you might not. Don t bother ever calling here as you will always get answered by a machine that makes it almost impossible to talk to a representative. When you finally get a chance to get your call to a representative it s someone at a call center not at the actual branch. What a complete nightmare since I opened my account here, Please avoid this place at all cost and save yourself a headache.

I recently had some problems with my account so I contacted support and I actually stumbled upon an amazing person named Shelly Walker. She overdelivered and actually did what I asked AND she proceeded to give me advice and offered more help for me since yk being young and not making the best decisions with your money was the problem. She did excellent, I really do believe that people like Shelly should always be positioned upward in the company especially for making the company look very good by her performance. It was an amazing experience and I rate it 11/10, but it ultimately wouldn t have been rated so high if Shelly never chose to assist me. What An amazing person she is and an amazing company. Inside this branch is always a very long wait. So I walked inside. Saw the lines, stood there for a few minutes and then turn around and walked out. Got in my car. Drove around to the window and was helped in less than 1 minute. So I recommend you go to the drive up not inside the branch.

This place needs help at the drive thru line. Waited over 30 minutes to cash my check during a time of day that isn t even busy. Barley any cars were in the drive thru, I couldn t imagine coming here during rush hour. My only reason for not doing 1 start rating was because eventually I got my check cashed.

I d have to say this is one of the busiest branch that I ve been to. But when it s your turn to get helped definitely is on point. Naristondo not sure if that was his name but he helped me with my auto loan, credit card, and checking. In 3 days I ve spoken to 2 chat live representative, 5 different representative and one loan officer over the phone trying to get something completed but always came to a roadblock. I almost gave up bc the customer service on the phone was ridiculous. Was tired of playing phone tags. Overall I m grateful the branch was able to assist me.

This branch is amazing! Daysi helped me out to refinance my car and she was very professional. I will always come back to her for any future business because she is a great banker and person. Then the branch manager, John, followed up with me to make sure that I was taking care of and I respect him for that. Also, I wanted to give a shoutout to Raquel since she was the manager who invited me over to her branch to start the refinance process. Usually the staff is quick, friendly and professional but I was really disappointed at the level of cleanliness at this facility... Only one staff member was wearing a mask and I didnt see any discipline with cleaning the equipment or providing hand sanitizer at least. I expected better from MACU.

This specific branch of MACU makes me wish I had chosen America First Credit Union. Their ATM is frequently inoperative. They have local policies that prohibit normal banking. They are generally unprepared for any kind of crowd involving more than 3 customers in the branch at a time. Parking is a mess. Id be fine with them shutting this branch down and replacing it with one closer to Utah County.

They need to fix their drive thru ATM machines. One was broken because as soon as you put your card in it says Transaction Cancelled . And if you go to the other one it will not let you deposit any cash no matter how many bills you try putting in. Disappointing.

Only if I can rate it a negate star.. Right when you walk in to your right the first desk there was this blonde lady with glasses seating. I made an application online for a car loan and I wanted to know the status of it. When talking to her I explained to her that I did a loan application online and would like for her to look in to it for me.Without her seeing it or looking in to it she told me she won t be able to see it and for me to wait. I asked her politely if she can please look in to it. She gave me an attitude and right away said I won t be able to get it without a 30% cash down so a 3,000 cash down. I was really let down and asked why and she couldn t explain. I have good credit and I make enough Money to make the loan. I asked if there s anything else she can do for me. With an attitude she said she will talk to a manager and she will be right back. It took her less then 5 minutes and when she came back she said yup you have to give us 3,000 dollars cash when my loan was 9,000. I was in shock and disbelief that she won t help me. When I went home I was so down. The same day I got a call From mountain America customers service and asked for me to call them back. When talking to them they told me I was all approved. I was in shocked and told them my experience going to the branch. They were as shocked as me and couldn t believe it and they apologize for the agents actions towards me. I made a complaint with the customer service and I wish I had the agents name. Very unprofessional and unwilling to help customers. I m Hispanic and I really think she s racist. She wouldn t help me or even tried. I work in customer service for more then 10 years and I won t ever treat my customer the way she did with me.I won t ever go back to this branch. I would recommend another one or calling customer service. This branch should get audit and should be close down. Or get employees that is willing to help their customers.

I hear on the radio dont use this locations on Fridays or Lunch time as you will wait for a good 30 mins. This location is the slowest! There excuse is this is a busy location! HMMMMM! Hire more people! If you cant afford more people then close branch down as it shows you arent making money if you cant afford more staff. I would rather g0 to dentist and have a tooth pulled with no Novacaine then to sit in there 30 min plus wait drive thru. MACU doesnt respect there clients time.

If I could rate less than 1 star I would. If you are looking to refinance your home and you have a solar panel loan DO NOT even bother asking MACU!!!!!!! They will tell you everything looks great, you will pay for an appraisal and spend weeks trying to get them information on the solar panels (that they should get on their own). and After all is said and done you will have wasted 5 WEEKS, paid for an appraisal and be told no. I would recommend you start with City Creek Mortgage. They have been more than helpful and have confirmed multiple times the solar panels will not infer with the loan. Bottom line MACU does not know how solar panel loans work.

I called Member Services at nine am this morning asking if they could make a cashiers check from checking account at this branch and I could pick it up after I got off of work, which was their peak time. They said they could have it ready for me at the front desk if I brought in my picture ID. Today is not a day I could wait, as I work full time and had many errands to run right after I got off of work. After several hours of not seeing the funds withdrawn from my account, I called Member Services back who informed that the branch said they cant make my cashiers check from me and have it ready for pick up with valid ID. Mountain America as a financial institution is great. This branch should honor what they tell their members, and I am sorely disappointed in how the manager handled this concern of mine. I worked at another credit union for several years, and I know that it was our policy to honor what we told our members we do for them. Patrick Lyons, the manager wouldnt even speak to me on the phone to help resolve this. You bet that I am calling this into his higher ups to let them know how their members are being treated.

I have been a member in Moab, Utah, that did not have a branch there, since 1990!!! It now has a branch in Moab!! I have gotten loans, credit cards and Express cards for my family. They have met my financial needs and have been there to help me when some fraud problems have popped up!!! West Valley Branch has been very helpful and I would highly recommend them. I even talk to my friends and neighbors how of great they are!! Keep up the great work because Im not going anywhere else!!!

The only problem I experience at the West Valley Branch is the length of time it takes to purchase a gift card which I do 4 or 5 times a year.. At other businesses you can purchase a gift card and the total transaction takes 3 minutes at the most. At the West Valley Branch the tellers usually dont know how to process a gift card transaction and have to ask another teller for assistance. This entails a step by step tutorial. After inputting some data into the computer which typically takes about 5 -10 minutes or more, the teller leaves the counter and goes to another room to pick up the card which takes another few minutes. Then it is back to the computer to input more data and finally I receive the card. Total wait time after I am at the counter is about 20 minutes. I have complained to Mountain America about this before and was promised steps would be taken to correct this problem however it has been a year and nothing has changed. In all fairness, I purchased a card several months ago and the transaction took 5 minutes. I was flabbergasted! If you are going to purchase a gift card, be prepared for a long wait.

Whenever I come here the people are always very rude to me and others I know. Its very unappreciated. If employees are rude and disrespectful it drives people away
