We moved to Texas and they don’t have a MACU, thanks to the team there we have no problems managing our finances from a distance, hopefully they will branch out to southern Texas,either way I won’t change my banking! Thanks MACU, you ROCK!

I came in for an auto loan and Zairet was amazing. She was super helpful in getting me the best rate possible and making things easier to understand. I couldn’t have had any better of an experience with her. 10/10.

Tell me my balance need your i.d , but you have e my account pulled up . Need i.d ... print me a receipt need an i.d ... but I just gave you cash ... need an i.d .... give me change for the money I just gave you .. need an i.d ... how much do I still owe on my loan .. need an i.d .... but you dont need my i.d to take my money right just everything else ....

I came in to this branch to cash a check and dispute a charge on my account today, the female at the desk after handing her my card and ID she quickly assumed that the check was for the person with me without checking the name on it first. I felt highly disrespected that she would not converse with me regarding my account but the other person that was with me, not professional or polite by any means.

I hate to go to mountain America because they never have deposit slips in their drive-through. You have to ask for them and wait for the tube which if you are in a hurry the extra 7 or 8 minutes seems so much longer. But it is why my work banks so I have to go every month. Today though the drive through clerk was helpful and friendly. He even gave me a stack of extra deposit slips for next time. Thanks Daniel!

The ATM at this location never works! So, if you need an MACU ATM, I suggest you find an alternative. Its very disappointing how much MACU has declined in service in the past 5 years. Ive been a member for about 20 years and its about time for a change in banking institutions for me.

I ve been at this branch 3 times in the last month and all 3 times I ve been ignored at the drive thru every time, and it s not just they were busy, the first time I waited 35 mins and watched each lane empty and I then pressed the call button and nothing, I was the only one in the drive thru and then another car pulled up and they were helped before me, Each time was a different day of the week and at different times, but each time it s been a girl at the window. It sucks because this is the closest branch to my House, today I waited 25 mins and watched 5 cars in different lanes be greeted and helped.

Wanted to consolidate some higher interest loans and talked with a loan officer at MACU. Initially everything was done over the phone. The response time in getting things worked out and set up was a bit slow. However, once things got moving it was a great experience. They helped us make the best use of our finances. Advising, but not insisting. They even refinanced a vehicle for us at a better rate. For closing we met with Sam at the Jordan Landing branch. She is excellent. Very efficient and professional but also very likable. In about 20 minutes time everything was signed and we left with a fantastic financial plan in place.

As always, I had an excellent visit to deposit a check in one of the many Mountain America branches I use. At the time, there was no line and the worker greeted me warmly and took care of the transaction before we completed our chat. In and out in under five minutes and was treated like a VIP. Maybe thats why Ive been with Mountain America Credit Union since 1994.

WARNING FRAUDULENT ACTIONS Mountain America FCU and/or an employee at the West Jordan Utah, 84088 branch actively participates and perpetuate online scammers. They accepted a wire transfer, yet stated the funds were on hold, when asked for a refund by a Wells Fargo rep after it was discovered the recipient was suspicious. For more than 2 months they claimed the receiving account did not exist yet failed to return the funds. As it became clear fraud was involved, rather than returning $2,500, suddenly they found an account and deposited it, stating it was an accepted check. They may function perfectly well for depositors, however, what theyve done with incoming WIRE TRANSFERS is beyond irregular, and currently under investigation.

Bad service. I went for a cashiers check and insaid the amount twice in English and Spanish but the Christina the cashier made a huge mistake on the amount although I know I have to check before leave vut still she could make.the correction having a better actitude. She makes me feel really uncomfortable plus she gave me a balance of someone else. When I asked her she just said it not yours. OMG very bad customer service. I love MACU but I dont want to go to this branch never again.

I am always treated with kindness and efficiency when I visit the Jordan Landing branch. However, I have some problems logging into my on-line banking account. Once into the on-line account I find that it is very slow moving from one screen to another, getting a message that the site is not responding due to a long running script. This is very irritating to me.

I have low balance alert set up but it sends it to me up to a day late. It really doesnt alert me at all. I dont have time to correct the situation so I dont have overdraft fees. Which I just racked up $125.00 in a couple days. They just want the free money, they dont care about the customers

My wife and I went to the branch for a personal loan. We stood in the middle of the lobby for a full 10 min while waiting on someone to help us. There was a gentleman that walked in behind us and one of the people that works there went straight up to him and asked if he need to speak with a loan officer. Worst customer service I ve seen in a financial institution in my life. I got better customer service from the Afghan villages while I was deployed and they had a lot less to offer. I will be moving my money to another institution and never setting foot in any of their branches again. I will also be tell my friends and those with whom I work to avoid this company like they avoided us in the lobby. If I could figure out how to give less than one star, I certainly would.

My experience at Mountain America Credit Union is nearly always superb. This visit was a bit slow. It appeared as though there was a new person just learning the ropes and she was alone trying to handle three lanes of cars by herself. We were in a hurry because we had to be somewhere and only needed to deposit a check. When she came on to kindly explain she would be right with us, we explained we needed to be somewhere and did not need to wait for her to return a deposit slip. Hope it helped her as much as it did us. However, we thought that someone being trained with a line up of cars should have had help or another person moved over to help the drive through traffic.

My fiance signed over a check to me WHILE IN THE BRANCH, teller refused to cash it since we signed it before we got to her. Makes absolutely no sense. We had our IDs aannndd checks were written off Mt. America account. Ridiculous service. As a banker myself I am disappointed.

Okay so let me start by saying I love being a member of Mountain America and I have never had a negative experience until now. Me and my husband are first time home buyers and both have accounts with Mountain America. I started a mortgage loan application online. I was trying to look into the pre-approval process. I didnt know where to start. I had the mortagage rep call me regarding my application and I told him I had made and appointment online at another branch in West Jordan. I go to the branch with my husband on the scheduled day turns out it is closed. I leave a voicemail with the Jordan landing mortgage rep and well as the Taylorsville mortgage branch rep. asking for a call back so I can meet with one of them. Never heard back left more voicemails. Never heard from anyone. Basically a month went by and I just gave up and went through other avenues. It should not be this hard to sit down with someone at one of your branches and get a pre-approval for a mortgage loan or talk someone through the home buying process. Please hire more people to assist with mortgage loans. Such a disappointing experience when I was hoping for clarification and assistance for this big step in my adult life. Aside from that love Mountain America and my husband and I have both have car loans with them as well.

I find this company worthless. The have no true knowledge of the customer who applied with them. My net worth was well over 10 % of my dept. I just wrote a check for the item I want and in the future I will start doing my own financing through my investments I own .

Have finally left this credit union as a family due to the insensitive apathy of Mountain Americas staff. During a time of grieving and loss, Mountain America was crass and heartless when we were trying to tie up financial ends of a deceased family member. If you do business with Mountain America thinking they have your/familys best interest in mind, you are sorely mistaken.

Today I had the worst experience with mountain america. I have been banking with them somewhere between 7-10 years and the way I was treated at this branch I almost closed my account. I went in for a auto loan keep in mind the other mountain america on 9000 s. And 2700 w. Pulled credit, told me Im a path one when it comes to borrowing, they scanned the title and bill of sale last week just needed to sign paper work. The staff and managers at this location treated me as if I always defaulted on loans and had bad credit which is far from the truth. They screwed me on my term of the loan, tried making a deal about giving me the amount requested for the loan even though it was already approved and the approved amount was 2300 less than retail and I myself was asking for an additional 2k less than what the loan was originally approved for. The mangers and staffs attitude was horrible. Never had that many issues buying a vehical. I learned my lesson about loaning through mountain america and should have stuck with my other credit unions I bank with such as Cyprus or america first. I am still debating on closing the account permanently because of the lack respect I was given and how I was treated.

PLEASE READ!!!!! I have had a checking account with MACU for close to ten years and now a school loan. This is how they treated me .I occasionally would receive payouts on the school loan to use for living expenses or whatever. About a month after one of those payments I was contacted by MACU saying that the last payout I received was an error. They apologized for the mistake and then informed me I would need to repay the money immediately .I had already used the money for random school and life expenses .As a full time student and father of two I was unable to immediately pay the money back .I tried to work out a payment plan with them but was told the best they could do was cover it with a loan that would have a $250 monthly payment .That was absolutely not realistic for me in the current situation. They gave me 30 days to pay off the balance in full, I tried repeatedly to work out a realistic payment plan to no avail and then my account was sent to collections, after only 30 days. The collection company was more than willing to work with me and work out a realistic payment plan. This debt was due to a mistake on the part of MACU so I feel they should have worked with me rather than send me to collections negatively impacting my credit . Fast forward to now .I have finished school and am paying off the school loan .I am informed that I am not eligible to put the school loan on auto pay because auto pay is a service we offer, a convenience. And we dont offer services and conveniences to those with charged off accounts . So after being unable to pay off their mistake in 30 days my account is charged off and sent to collections despite repeated attempts to set up a payment plan. And now they disrespect me and treat me like some sort of undesirable bum .After a ten year history of banking. I will never give them my business again .

Was very helpful when their was a mix up with another bank taking out extra money. They let us go negative and took off over draft fee, however their were a few purchases my husband had made that had not yet shown as pending before we went negative. Once payments processed it caused 2 more over draft fees. When we went in to explain what had happened not only did they transfer the money back from our saving instead of our checking, they also would not remove the two over draft fees that was in total we only used $11 and ended up with $40 over draft payment.

We set an appointment online to meet with a loan officer at their office, but when we arrived we learned that the loan officer was not scheduled to be there on the day we set the appointment. When we showed the staff that we had an appointment and that their system showed the loan officer would be there, they acted like we were a giant inconvenience and just pushed us out.

Went on a Saturday to get information about a mortgage and to get a new copy of my credit card as the plastic was peeling off. They were really busy. The teller was nice but took forever to get my a card for the mortgage office, who I was told was not present and would have to get a hold of. The teller was very helpful and nice. He was in the process of helping get an exact copy of my credit, as I requested, when (what I believe to be) his supervisor, who had been hovering over him for a few minutes, offered to get me the card so he could someone else. I felt rushed, as the teller taking his time to help me out was undoing my frustration of having to wait so long. The supervisor came out with the new card but it was not the exactly copy I wanted, as I specifically requested. I expressed this to her. She said they were out of the copy I wanted. Now, I am pretty sure she was there when I expressed to the teller I wanted an exact copy of my current card. Even if it wasnt available, I shouldve been given options instead of just having it chosen for me, all for sake of what I guess would be getting to the next customer. Once again, I felt rushed. I had been waiting so long for two simple things that should not have taken that long, and the supervisor came across as anything willing to help, that I just took the card and left. Whenever I go to this branch, which is the closest to my home, they are always busy and I feel rushed and neglected. Now, I understand the importance of efficiency, but that is no reason to treat a customer like an item on a to-do list. This has happened multiple times when I have visited this branch, but this was the straw that broke the camels back, which is why I am writing this review. I am very particular about the design on my credit card, because I want to look at something pleasant whenever I use it, which is often. This may seem like a small thing, but good customer service is considerate about the details. When there are so many other banks and credit unions who can give me the same thing, customer service is the paramount and deciding factor, and when it is not met it makes me think if I should take my business elsewhere. And perhaps I will. Thank goodness for the mobile app, I dread having to go into the branch.

The service is so slow.. You should not have to wait 25 min in the drive thru with 1 car ahead of you and the other 2 lanes have just the current vehicles waiting. Drive thru is to make a faster more convenient option for your customers. Please schedule more assistance then 1 person on a Friday... Walk in is becoming faster then drive thru.. This is a staffing issue and my score reflects to this issue only. Otherwise would be a 4star

I enrolled with them at the exact and they refuse to use my information to get through quickly, the is is the only location that does that to me.....very unprofessional.

The staff at this branch are warm, capable and extremely helpful. Ive opened up several lines of credit/loans at this specific branch. Each experience was stupendous.

My wife introduced me to this credit union years ago. My experience has always been great. I own All Utah Plumbing Heating & Air, so I am in daily.. Never have I had a problem with my accounts. Also it s nice to be greeted with a smile.

We have long used Mountain America and Ive always appreciated their service and what they have to offer. However, I was especially impressed by an employee at the drive-thru named Spencer (on 30 January 2018). He was so incredibly helpful, friendly, and caring. He did his best to brighten my whole day and I was so grateful. Its people like him that make the world a better place!

I am so glad that I chose to bank with Mountain America. The staff is always smiling, professional and extremely accommodating when I arrive. The team at the West Jordan branch are focused on customer services and answering questions promptly. I highly recommend banking with Mountain America.

WOW! I have been with MACU for 9 years now. I have had a pleasant experience banking with them, going to any of the branch locations. I am very simple when I comes to my basic needs of banking and they have over met my needs. Great customer service at any branch location and amazing over the phone ( few times I have had to use them). I will continue to use them and I have to look into other services they provide :)

I love banking with Mountain America, and this location is no exception, however the branch is always packed and busy and the parking lot is small and crowded. Using another branch is highly suggested.

Love this place!!! I have been meaning to write this for a while but just got around to it. I came in to get a loan but didnt qualify. When I went to leave my car wouldnt start. I was kinda on hard times so I didnt have a working phone, So I went inside to ask the loan guy who took my loan request if I could use a phone. He came outside and started seeing if there was anything he could do to help me. I guess he saw a wire or something that had some loose and so he got on the ground and got all dirty in his nice shirt and tie helping me reconnect the wire and got my car going again. No issues with it since. BEST SERVICE EVERY!!!!! I may not have gotten my loan but this dude was legit.
