Matt Smith is the absolute best at this. We bought our first home with him back in 2014 during my residency in Seattle, and we had such a good experience. He responds immediately to emails/texts. He (and his team) always deliver on their promises, and communication is so clear and easy. They are incredibly fast and responsive. Regularly they complete work on the weekends or after hours. They definitely go the extra mile.

I had to finance our new home 2 years ago with a different lender because the could offer us a much lower rate, so I definitely have something to compare Fairway to. It almost wasn’t worth the low interest rate.

Seriously though, I can’t recommend Matt enough.

We had issues with a previous lender and were running out of time. Jeff at Fairway remained calm and confident, and the team got us approved in EIGHT DAYS! The process was painless and almost stress free! Every member of the team was polite, professional, and caring. They even sent us some "Calming Tea" as a gift during the process. I recommend this company to ANYONE I come into contact with. I cannot say enough as to how much we appreciate these people and their company! It was a true blessing to have done business with such awesome individuals! Do NOT hesitate to give them a call!

Our experience with Fairway Independent Mortgage group far exceeded our expectations. The process was truly seamless thanks to our loan officer Shane who was available at anytime "literally" to answer questions, concerns and get in last minute paper work. His follow through was impeccable and he would constantly check back to make sure all was progressing well. Below average overall. Did a physician home loan with neo. Team is responsive, but communication among their team is absolutely atrocious. Our homeowner insurance agent, builder, and lawyer were working with someone on their team while the loan officer and loan processor were totally unaware (no communication amongst themselves). Created a ridiculous amounted of confusion and ultimately increased my cost significantly as close was delayed due to this incompetence. Neo did not cover any of the cost their poor communication created. We worked with Ross Zimmerman and Rail Cressall. These guys did NOT have the best rates or costs, but we were sold on a better customer service experience. They did not deliver. Choose wisely and ignore this sales pitch. There are much better companies for physicians home loans. Would choose someone else if it were done again.

I have never written a review for anyone. I have very high expectations, and not many businesses meet them. Mike and his team hit the mark and continue to do so. As a veteran and first responder I understand what paying attention to detail means. Mike was never out of step with the process. Communication was constant and easily understood. The VA can be difficult at times to deal with but Mike and his time were completely instep. I have no reservations in recommending them.

We had a wonderful experience with Katrinka and her team helping us to purchase our first home. She was promptly responsive, always available, very helpful and just a pleasure to interact with throughout the entire process. I was impressed by her from our first phone call. She was well prepared for all phone calls. When shopping around for mortgages, Katrinka was the ONLY officer who would communicate back with us quickly and her responsiveness was primarily the reason we chose the physician loan at Fairway. I also had specific time delays related to my visa paperwork and while many other mortgage companies would either not work with us or did not seem to understand anything about non-citizen physician training, Katrinka was knowledgeable about visa processes, and when she was not confident of information specifically about my case, she asked and replied to me within the same day. When it came to looking at various loan options, rates and durations, Katrinkas method of laying all numbers in front of us and going through expected costs and fees one by one was very welcome, and another example of how she stood out (by miles) compared to other companies we shopped from. Finally, it was nice to hear excellent remarks about her work from both our realtor and title company agent, she was truly a team player and coordinated effectively with all. I do not have any notes or complaints about the physician loan process through Fairway and would specifically recommend Katrinka to anyone looking for a new mortgage.

I wish there was a way to leave 0 stars. My experience was so dreadful. I absolutely intend to refinance as soon as possible. Even though I know they re just going to sell my loan to a bank, I don t want anything to do with this team. I had to fix two hang ups TWICE for them and only after me repeatedly calling them to ask what was wrong and why we weren t lined up to close on time.

Matt Smith is the absolute best at this. We bought our first home with him back in 2014 during my residency in Seattle, and we had such a good experience. He responds immediately to emails/texts. He (and his team) always deliver on their promises, and communication is so clear and easy. They are incredibly fast and responsive. Regularly they complete work on the weekends or after hours. They definitely go the extra mile. I had to finance our new home 2 years ago with a different lender because the could offer us a much lower rate, so I definitely have something to compare Fairway to. It almost wasn t worth the low interest rate. Seriously though, I can t recommend Matt enough.

They turned what was supposed to be a life long memory into the worst moment of our married life. Everything went very well until they had to deliver. Very responsive and friendly. Then we move forward with the financial deadline we all agreed upon. They missed the financial deadline and notified us 45 minutes prior to our earnest money going hard, leaving us no time to even discuss what to do. The loan officer then blamed us for returning paperwork late (not to us but rather to our agent), while ironically we continuously asked if we were on track and the answer was always yes. Never ever were we advised to return initial disclosure by a given date, but again we kept asking if we were still good and the answer was always:yes. Then we had to repeatedly send the same forms over and over, the underwritter would come back with new things - fair enough, we sent it. Then .... the night before closing, the asked us for a form that relates to immigration status- that form simply put forward would not be a form that could legally be produced. While trying to understand what they wanted we had to deal with the sarcasm of the processor; no one could explain to us why they wanted a form that I could not, legally, produce for an other 3 months. No one had the answer. Never ever did a manager pick up the phone to talk to us. We ended up having to call corporate to resolve the solution the morning of closing. We ended up closing but with the worse resentment ever. Oh and they also pulled our credit ... after closing .... So dont expect deadlines to be met or accountability.

After a very poor experience with Bank of America and being basically led in a false direction by a banker at that organization we found Fairway Bank. Rozz Zimmerman had two weeks to get us a loan before closeing date thanks to Bank of Americas ineptitude. He got it done. We are so thankful for Ross everyday and he is currently helping us to refinance our mortgage. A win-win of an organization and you are not just another number at Fairway. Thanks Ross!

Im a broker in CA. My client was purchasing a home and was just beginning her medical career. She started to use Fairway Indep Mortgage Corp, but at the last minute went with B of A. BIG MISTAKE! We received a physician home loan from Fairway; most importantly, they gave us the most competitive interest rate offers for all different types of loans and were the most flexible when it came to down payment amount and cash to close requirements. As well, Drake Bloebaum was our loan rep and was simply fantastic - responded quickly always and at times would even reply to our emails at like 5:30 in the morning - someone is an early riser! The only feedback Id have for Fairway is that the closing process is unfamiliar territory for new home buyers and a fact sheet would have been helpful to have to lay it all out before hand. I had to do a little bit of back and forth with the closing team to get a clear picture of what would happen. Otherwise, very positive experience and I would definitely recommend friends to Fairway for physician loans!

We had an excellent experience with Jason Drobeck and the crew at Fairway Independent Mortgage Group in Salt Lake City. We live the Denver area but that didnt matter as everything was handled by email. We were in a difficult position to apply for a mortgage since we just went from big incomes to very little income as a result of full retirement. We had mostly savings and other assets to work with. They understood and used the asset depletion/income equivalent formulas to justify the loan to the underwriters. Another mortgage company had already failed to obtain a mortgage. They were creative and jumped throught hoops to close the deal for us. Thanks.

We had issues with a previous lender and were running out of time. Jeff at Fairway remained calm and confident, and the team got us approved in EIGHT DAYS! Josh Mettle and the team at Fairway were AMAZING!! I have to admit, having found them on a medical website, while reading an on-line article, I was a tad skeptical! I am SO GLAD I chose to proceed! The physician loan program is fabulous! Josh was extremely knowledgeable, patiently explained EVERY DETAIL and made sure he presented me with all my options and discussed pros and cons of each to make sure I chose the right solution for my situation. Josh was ALWAYS available to offer answer any question or provide any information when needed. The processing (Holly Robertson) and closing (Wendy Spaeth) teams were JUST as efficient and delightful.
