I did get a loan from here with Kevin & he did a great job helping. I don’t like the other customer service reps who have no patience. One girl I don’t remember her name made me want to close my account there. The manager there convinced me not to. So I didn’t and continued service with them. Today I talked to customer service rep not sure if it was from that branch. But this guy had me on the phone for an hour. Got frustrated with me and hung up. I will not do business here anymore. I wish I knew his name, but if they record the conversations, they would probably know who it is.

I enjoyed an excellent experience with Earlene.
She was warm and welcoming even though I was 20 minutes late because I was lost.
She was professional and efficient.
I felt listened to; she gave me helpful information I did not know.

Josh was outstanding with helping me set up a new account and make a deposit! I had a little time frame before an appointment, Josh was able to get everything done and I made it to my appointment with time some extra time!!

** UPDATE **
There was some miscommunication and not understanding on some of the time frames. Josh did contact me and did what he could at the time which was all I needed!
He's been outstanding and has made everything right and made sure to follow up with me to make sure I was taken care of. He truly cares about his customers and has gone above and beyond to help me.
I have never had a credit union/bank go out of there way to make sure these customers was doing good and make Sure everything is corrected the best they can!

I just opened a loan with SSFCU with an 825 credit score. SSFCU clerical errors did not process my last mortgage payment hitting my credit nearly 150 points. SSFCU has poor customer service and poor communication.

Although this has happened at the headquarters - I am leaving a one star review here as no one has tried to remedy this problem yet. I will continue to do so until a manager contacts me. I have made multiple requests on my SSFCU portal.

February of last year I had the same issue with this bank. I have been making my payments with this bank fine after the branch manager apologized for the employees and their made-up rules and behavior. like I had said the last time I have no problem handing over my ID, Passport, social security, and my offspring for crying out loud just so you can receive my cash payment of $204.00 because apparently it’s become illegal to use US currency with out an ID! I’m making a payment with my account slip you have all the information above I just mentioned. Send me proof of your policy. Post this information about this policy at your branch and make it clear! I had originally deleted my last review because I received a call from the branch manager apologizing stating there was no such policy and apologized for her employees and their made-up rules, but it seems like nobody is on the same page at this branch if things have changed since my last review I deleted inform me properly send your paying customers these type of policies and rules.

The charming lady who helped us was very professional, efficient and knowlegable. As our first business transaction, she made it very good. One problem however, we were told by an employee that priority is given to clients who transact business at the walk-up tellers first and clients who need to sit at a desk for assistance, are given second priority. This nearly turned us away from establishing an account with a deposit of 25K. We'll see how things go.

I have been with SSFCU for many years. I have done all of my loans through this SSFCU. I have never been disappointed. They have always been fast and efficient. I always take my business to Kandi Hyde. She is very helpful and knowledgeable of all of the products the credit union has to offer.

The transactions took way too long. We were there almost 4 hrs. We did 3 separate transactions and the paperwork was very hard. We were patient, teller was kind, but should be simpler than we experienced.

This woman letticia Sandoval has been the very best help out of any bank Ive ever been in. My wife Alexandra and I moved to Utah from Hawaii and were looking for a credit union to do business with. Our Hawaii credit union suggested Secretary Service Federal Credit Union because they are a shared branch. We walked in to the Taylorsville branch and met A.J., She was so helpful and and made us feel like family. Then there is Ryan. This young man helped us with a transaction that seem impossible, but he made it happen! In Hawaii we would say that this Credit Union is No Ka oi (The Best). I love my credit union. The people are great. I called in today asked about a loan. AJ Hyde is the Lady that helped me today she asked me a few things said yes let s see what we can do. I was in the West Valley Branch for maybe a half hour. She got me the loan in and out and was so sweet. She walked me through everything. Very impressed with this location. Customer service is hands down the best. My husband and I used to bank with mountain America. Whenever we would apply for a loan or ask credit question they treated us like we were beneath them. Security service was handling my car loan because the dealership had set me up with them my first thought was oh great they are going to turn me down. I was wrong. Security service accepted my husband and myself. They have helped us rebuild his credit , helped us with a Helock loan, truck loan, several other personal loans for emergencies. We have always been treated kind and with the upmost respect. Marlen has helped us numerous times shes always quick to help answer questions and deposit or withdrawals. Sean helped us with our helock loan. Sean was very professional and answered all of our questions and made it as smooth as possible. However my most favorite person that works there is Aj , she is so fantastic. She lights up the whole place. She is definitely a shining star. She has an amazing personality and stands out above all. She has helped me with several situations including a car loan and has helped me with my all my accounts. Im not very computer savvy and kinda nervous about bill pay, AJ took the time to sit down with me and all my utilities bills and got everything set up and put my mind at ease.. shes gone above and beyond. Ive had a few hard financial decisions to make to the point i was in tears. She was professional and sympathetic to my situation and helped me. Always made my husband and I feel important and that we matter, and that our business that we do at the credit union is important to her. Im so greatful for AJ and the Westwood branch. I have been banking with Security Service for years, they have great rates and products ect. I just had the pleasure of working with A.J! She was absolutely incredible, she is one of those rare gems, she has gone above and beyond with working with me. She worked hard to help find me a solution that would fit me the best, she isn t the average cookie cutter type of gal, where you just get a yes or a no answers, she is the kind of gal who will go out of her way to find out the WHY behind any question or concern, no matter how simple or complex, she isn t afraid to reach out to her peers for answers, she did a very thorough job for me in the last two days and I am beyond impressed with her. There need to be more gems like A.J who actually care about their customers and love their job and who are relentless in finding a solutions to help customers. Moving forward I will only be working with A.J the work she has done for me has gained my trust and I can confidently say she truly has my best interest in mind. I just completed the one of the new virtual appointments with AJ she was amazing with her customer care and answered all of my questions. The app used is similar to Zoom so it is easy to use from any device. If you are having issues with contacting your local branch like I was because of COVID I highly recommend this alternate service.

I just completed first virtual banking experience (Covid Procedure) with a AJ Hyde at SSFCU Westwood in Utah. Mrs. Hyde made the experience absolutely wonderful. I was initially concerned with the virtual banking process (Being in Texas and working with a banker in Utah) but AJ made it simple and straightforward, even leaving me her direct contact for future banking needs. I could walk to get my money faster. Long holds on any phone call, this bank is still in the 80 s. Transfers take a week?!?!?! Every time I ve gone to the branch/drive thru it takes a least 15 min to get anything taken care of. I don t understand what the hold up is, it s 2020!!!!!

Worst experience ever! Deposited a large check they told me it would have a 2 day hold which was fine 4 days later still not released. was hit with a large late fee by my mortgage company. this has happened more then once the service is horrible! Closed my account do not! Open a account here!

After anxiously waiting on the phone it seemed forever, just hung up & called again. To my surprise, I was able to talk to a pleasant young man by the name of Juan in Utah. I explained my husband s problem, accidentally dropped his phone & requested information on the power protection plan. Juan explained all the great benefits of the plan, he went that extra mile to copy & paste the benefits & emailed them to me. Juan provides outstanding customer service, Westwood Service Center is very bless in having him in their team. Plus all the customers nationwide that he services. From A Happy San Antonia!

I absolutely love THIS branch of Security Service!! I never go through the drive-up. I would miss all of the magic! As soon as you walk through the door, everyone here has a SINCERE smile and Hello for you. They take the time to know WHO you are, have never made me feel like Im just a number. They all work really well as a team and make sure youre taken care of. Thats something that just doesnt happen anymore. I drive 8 miles to get to this branch. Past probably 20 banks and credit unions. Yep! On purpose. And, honestly? I never plan to bank anywhere else. Although I absolutely adore everyone here, I have to admit. I do have my favorite. Please dont get me wrong. Theyre all the very best! But, AJ is my favorite!!! If you ever want to meet someone that obviously loves life? Its her. Shes funny. Shes quirky. Shes beautiful. And more than anything, its obvious that she truly CARES! So, on that note.... ATTN MANAGEMENT... AJ needs a raise. A HUGE ONE! And, AJ needs a promotion. A HUGE ONE! LOL!! We love this branch. Anytime we come in, AJ has always been more than willing to make sure we are taken care of and happy before we leave. Her positivity and contagious attitude brings us back each time. Everyone in the branch is awesome and friendly and outgoing. We chose this branch over the rest.

This is my favorite bank ever. Every time I visit this branch, they know who I am and are always so pleasant, accommodating, efficient, friendly and happy to help me- no matter the situation. They truly care about every individual customers needs. Ive been with them for well over a decade and would never trust my money to anyone else! A.J. is a total rock star! She will handle anything you need. I love this place! A+++++.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Security Federal Credit Union Westwood!!! I consider these guys like family!!! They always go above and beyond for me and all my friends and family that bank here!! A big shout out to Shaun, Sarah, Kevin, Kandi, Jake, Marlen, Alondra, and Juan!!! Don t waste your time with other banking or credit unions...these guys are the BEST and ALWAYS give personalized service!!!

This Credit Union is amazing. They truly care and get to know you. Shawn worked hard for me to get my loan when no one else would have. He made it a great experience. Everyone else there is great too. I pretty much know everyone there on a personal level now and they know me as well. At Security Service, you re not looked at as a number but as a person.

AJ Hyde is a life saver. I had dealt with some fraud at another bank and she helped me get a power protected checking account. Seriously the best move Ive ever made. Im changing all my banking over to SSFCU.

I have been banking with them for 5 years now. This is the best bank I have ever felt with. AJ at the Westwood branch is the best. She is always smiling and happy to help anyone that comes in. She has the best customer service I have had at any branch.

Cannot reach a local office without MUCH difficulty. Offer higher rates for loans than competitors. Poor customer service-always wait a long time to be helped either inside or through drive through.

I opened my account at this branch almost 3 years ago and every single Interaction with SSFCU has been spectacular. Every person in this bank has treated me with kindness, respect, and been great at their job as well as knowledgeable. I have had different accounts over the years, and a few at a couple of credit unions but this one by far has been the best one.

This place is terrible! I banked here for 3 years. Terrible customer service. They are difficult with every single thing. They told me I couldnt take my name off my moms account even though she was primary and I wasnt. After I called customer service they told me that she just had to sign a paper. I also had a check signed over to me for $200 dollars they said they couldnt use. I took my money and check over to american first and they have been nothing but welcoming and easy to deal with! Happy to be done with this place!!!

Love this staff! I have never had such help and attention from any other bank. Their new accounts rep is amazing. She explained my options and helped me sign up for accounts that will most benefit me. True customer service!

I absolutely hate his credit union location. Every time I have gone into the branch they only have 2 people working the transaction desk. The line is soooo long that it takes 30 min at least to get to talk to someone. Even longer of a wait if you need to talk to an advisor . I have gone through the drive thru to make a payment and they have shorted me change. This place is not reliable. This credit union only looks out for their lasyness who closes at 1 on a Saturday? People work, sometimes Saturday is the only day that you can Go to the bank but they are sooo busy and close so early ridiculous. Upset the dealer placed my loan through this place! If looking for a better reliable place go to AFCU.

Home office is in San Antonio. Car loan paperwork for payment came after it was due. We were on vacation, got a call wanting payment now. Called home office 3 times. There were 7 return calls. Security Services failed each time to enter account number. Now we have late charges. Waiting for supervisor to call in the next 48 hours. Dont go there.

This is possibly the finest financial institution I have dealt with. I use 3 different branches regularly. They are all very helpful and friendly. They have given me sound advice when I have asked about credit there. I have no idea what the naysayers are talking about. Maybe they are just too demanding or were having a bad day. Ive worked with them for a long time and have never seen any behavior close to what they have described.

Best quality customer service around! Was treated with respect and true kindness. Its hard to find a company where the employee takes the time with customers and makes sure their questions are answered honestly and with a genuine smile. My awesome experience here will not be forgotten!

Since they close the one in vanwinkle this the closest branch to me house and they have the worse customer service Im force to go to the draper branch to make a payment because I cant stand their service

My experience is not very good since when you want to communicate with a branch, whatever it may be, they do not respond, you spend more than three hours and nothing excuses after excuses. You go to the bank in person and the staff is empty without much customer, I hope they improve. Thank you.

I would NOT recommend this company to my worst enemy!! There is only 1 person working in the credit card department. Security Service Federal Credit Union sends un-needed, un-wanted, credit cards through the mail, cards that were not order. How is my information safe if they take it upon themselves to just send credit cards through the mail? Too much credit card fraud goes on this time of year (Thanksgiving - New Years), and then your credit union makes it easier by sending all the information through the post office?! No Im done! Im out. No longer using Security Service.
