I was allowed to pawn my cannon rebel camera here now I guess I have nothing of value because they won't even pawn it again so what I have learned here is not to buy anything because nothing holds its value like my silver it's not worth what I paid for it. I will never go here again. Whan my 600.00 camera is obsolete I guess this means pawn shops are obsolete as well.

I didn't have the greatest experience, but I may have just been in a persnickity mood today. The owner was kind enough to reply without getting personal and I'll try to do the same. I understand he may have had a problem with theft in the past and I get that, but not every potential client is dishonest. He totally freaked out when I opened the case to inspect a $3 CD. Just my opinion, but I guarantee you that I went in feeling mellow and came out a bit perturbed. You lost a sale today, but there's always tomorrow. Coleen gave you high marks and had some wisdom to impart on me today. It's been a rough year for us all, so I'll dial back my comments a bit in the hope for a smoother visit next time.

** The Uber customers were cool and said I should give you another chance. Also you have a lot of great reviews so maybe it's just me. I'm changing my comments a bit, so I don't hurt your business. Excellent selection of firearms, new and old! Walked in about 15 minutes to close, they had a particular firearm I had been wanting for quite some time. I didn't have the money on me, and I didn't want to keep their attention after closing time with a background check, but April said she'd hold it for me till the afternoon next day.

Went in the next day, they had it waiting for me, the background check process was super smooth, and finally picked it up. Mike and April are super friendly and made the whole experience very pleasant!

Needed some quick gas money, 1 week went back and noticed how good they store your items. Never have I seen them put a guitar in a case of there own to prevent dents. I will recommend anytime

These guys are the best of the best!!! I had to go deal with hy and Mikes to attempt to sell my bow. (which is a shop thats seeking to screw you on your deal. Dont go to them.) 12th Street Pawn and Loan just won my business for life today. Mike is straight up awesome and probably one of the nicest guys in the business. I was one of the folks who lost a job over Covid19 and had to pawn a rifle to cover rent. It took a while to get back to work and when I called Mike he still gave me a shot to come and pay back my loan and get my rifle back. That rifle has a ton of sentimental value to me and I am so thankful for good people like Mike. If you need any help these guys are the folks to go see. And they have some cool stuff in that shop! Called 12th Street Pawn & Loan from Logan, Utah to inquire about the possibility of selling some silver to 12th Street Pawn & Loan. Spoke with Mike over the phone, and he was very informative as well as courteous. Based on this quick phone call, I drove to Ogden to the 12th Street Pawn shop, and within 15 minutes I was able to sell some sliver to Mike at a very fair price. Mike was very professional, didnt try to get me to trade anything from the Pawn Shop for my silver, didnt try to make me purchase anything, etc. Overall fantastic experience from the phone call I made in Logan to the time I walked out the door of 12th Street Pawn & Loan. I highly recommend visiting Mike and his staff when considering which Pawn Shop to conduct business with!

weird experience...simple questions were not answered and was greeted passive aggressive and condescendingly no logical response at all by the lady helping me she put in the notes that I was rude to her when she said she would have Mike explain it to me when I picked up my laptop, that was not the case. I dont care if shes been doing it 40 years or 2 days no one person is the same and should be treated with respect.when I have a question about why they wont take unfully charged laptops I except to be educated on it or learn more from Mike about my concern not treated like a punk like i was. I was met with a snotty attitude and lied about how I was to make herself look better to Mike. Made it very awkward to pick my laptop. Been a frequent customer for awhile and always loved doing business with Mike, but she cut the cord on the relationship.

Far better than my previous pawn shop experiences. Went in to look at lever-action rifles. Got a great rifle on lay-away. The staff are super knowledgeable, helpful, and welcoming. They will be my first stop for my next firearm purchase. Not to mention they had a great selection of golf clubs, power tools, etc. Check them out!

I went in to see about getting a detailed receipt for a previous purchase that I had made and paid for with a 500.00 dollar cashier s check. I waited for him to finish talking to his employee and acknowledge me and started to explain what I needed. He interrupted me asking when it was so I pointed to the date on the check stub and flew off the handle and said to come back when I could be polite. I said I wasnt being rude just pointing to the date. He raised his voice and said just leave and come back when you can be polite....Well I will NEVER return and I am telling everyone I know what happened and what a RUDE guy he really is. This cover stuff is no excuse to act like that to a supposed valued customer....Ive spent 1700.00 dollars in his store in the last 4 months but hell not EVER get another dime from me.....

First of all, I m very pro mask. I walked in, the man asked me what I was needing help with, as soon as I said something my beard pulled my mask down slightly (not even past my nose, just enough to where the top of my nose was showing) and he told me to pull my mask up which I did. Then he says oh I m sorry did I interrupt you? In a very condescending manner. So I go to just walk out and leave because I m not about to spend money at a place I don t feel welcome, as soon as I turn around he tells me to get out of the store. Probably the rudest I ve ever been treated at a store in my life.

Owner(I assume) was very rude and argumentative. Zero customer service skills. I had no qualms with his mask required policy, which he seems to think is the reason for the bad review(it is not). Make no mistake about it I have worked in retail for 10+ years and if I acted like this guy toward customers (condescending and rude) I would have been fired.

Disgusted with this joke of a pawnshop owner, HE IS THE most unprofessional rude pawnshop owner I ve ever dealt with (and I ve dealt with a lot). He was very rude, short, snappy, and he talked to me as if he was inconvenienced with my questions and concerns. I find it very very odd that as awful as he is in person that he has so many 5 star reviews and it s also very odd that he either has 5 star reviews or 1 star reviews with none in between. Wouldn t recommend to even my worst of friends, but I would however send people I hate to this shop.

Owner is very nice, but unfortunately, the prices are very high for a pawn shop with no possibility for negotiation. People do not go into pawn shops to pay retail prices or higher. This probably explains the sheer amount of unsold items in the shop, many with price tags fading from age.

Mike and Nathan run an excellent establishment, not the least being the obvious care they have for their customers. If you have ever heard or read of a bad experience it is because the customer wanted 100 bucks for a 5 dollar item or something equally as ludicrous. . I started coming here when I started dating my boyfriend because he frequents Mikes pawn shop. The staff is all super nice, prices are fair, and it has a comfortable vibe in the shop. If theres anything you have questions about concerning a product or price and they dont know, they will look it up for you. They quality check all of the items they sell before putting a price on anything. I always thought pawn shops were sleazy but this shop has shown me that there are places that do fair business and dont try to overcharge their customers. I went in there looking for a .22 AR style. Didn t find one. However they quickly helped me out and left with a conversion kit. Wasn t too sure until I tried it out and couldn t be happier! Staff is very helpful and friendly. Will return.

And hes more then happy to try and figure out other ways to help ya. It feels more like going to your uncles to ask for a 20 then going into a pawn shop. My wife and i have used this pawn shop since we been in Ogden and received the most amazing service, not only from their staff but the owner as well. When we were short on our pawn tickets he would alway let us push our due dates back so we could get current. We also have purchased tv and my wifes wedding ring. Dont use those big corporate shops. They have no personal service.

Love this place! I used to go to the EZ Pawn in Riverdale, but now I only go here. Mike and all the staff are very friendly and always willing to help and answer any questions I have. Their prices are pretty fair and I never feel like Im getting the short end of the stick when either selling or getting a loan on an item. I also really enjoy the fact that Mike will call you by your first name because to me it makes me feel welcome, and not like Im just some Joe-nobody and dont mean anything. As a customer without us they dont have a store, and in most pawn shops I feel like Im either unwelcome or that the employees are robots and we are nothing to them. I wont do business with any of the other pawn shops anymore because of the fact they make me feel so unwelcome. If youre looking to sell or get a loan on an item go check out their store on 12th, or just go and take a look around because they have some cool stuff and who knows maybe youll find something there that you fall in love with

I stopped into 12th street pawn by chance, on my way to another pawn shop. I had never been and found myself turning around to check it out. I walked in and was immediately greeted by, I am assuming the owner, who smiled through a very sexy mustache at me and I immediately felt at home and comfortable in his shop. I was selling a fire arm that was no longer wanted. I was treated like a friend, being addressed by my first name, and was given a very fair price for my gun. I will return to the shop, if for nothing else then to be greeted with a smile and warm welcome.

They are a step above other similar establishments. They treat your item as if it never left your possession when you pawn something. I recently pawned my favorite iPad to afford a prescription for my daughter and they gave it back to me exactly as I gave it to them. Except, they actually put it into a box so that it was safe, since my iPad, though did include its original package, had a case that is a pain to remove so I didnt have it inside its box. That really impressed me, they cared as much about my item as I do .. Will definitely go back if Im ever in need again .. And highly recommend them to anyone else for pawning and shopping. I wanted to add that I had asked for $30 or $40 and the lady there that day said she could only do $30, I said thats okay, I can make that work. But when she handed me the paper and money she did lend me the $40 I needed. That was so nice and unexpected so I was already a satisfied customer. But when I came back, a week later than I thought I would, they were just as kind as the first time. So .. Thank You again!!

If you need to be worked with on your pawn, communication is key, but they will work with you within reason. They are not like your normal pawn shops. Wish I had the option To leave 0 stars. I had bought a gun through private sale and turned out it was stolen. I pawned my necklace with it that was my fathers. I called to get the necklace out and the owner was very short, understandable he is out money. I had to contact a detective. I did and we scheduled a time to talk and he said the gun is hold but not the necklace. So I call back and a really sweet lady helped me out at first. When they figured this out and called back, it started with here, i wasnt unreasonable, but did let her know i didnt like how the the male there dealt with this. He came on the phone and I started explaining, maybe fast, but wasnt rude and he repeated CALM DOWN. ASKED HOW I WILL MAKE IT RIGHT. I started to explain I would pay him the money he was out for the gun and the necklace pawn, but I wanted to deal with the lady and he said youre not getting it..... Response to reaponse..... TAKE YOUR OWN ADVICE

I have been doing business with Mike @ 12th Street Pawn for over 2 years now. I noticed a distinct difference from other pawn shops Id been to, mainly the way I am greeted when I walk in. Mike always greets everyone that walks in with a genuine Hi friend and Let me know if you see anything you like. I was greeted that way the very first time I set foot in his shop. Even if I dont buy anything he thanks me for stopping in and welcomes me back. Ive been to other pawn shops where they dont even recognize your presence unless you come to the counter with an item to purchase. Mike truly values his customers and Ive always gotten a fair deal. Granted, he may seem a bit curt sometimes but thats because he doesnt have time for BS or people that dont know the true value of items they are trying to pawn or buy. Hes a business man and is always busy doing research and paperwork. Ive purchased a chain saw, a Werner articulating ladder (think Little Giant with a lower price), three TVs, a Blu-Ray player, and a couple of firearms and have always been treated fairly, with respect, and gotten a good deal. I wont go anywhere else but 12th Street Pawn. Highly recommend!!!

Have sold two rings at this pawn shop. Both times were an excellent experience. I felt that Mike was fair and knowledgeable. Wouldnt consider any other pawn shop in northern Utah.

DISHONEST! don t go here. I went in with cash in my pocket to buy some junk silver. The owner helped me. Said he charged 10% over spot. Spot today was $15.75. He said I could buy 4 halves, 5 quarters, and 3 dimes. That s 3.55 face so I was expecting to pay no more than 15.75*.723*3.55*1.1= $44.46. He quoted me $52.80. And added it up not once but TWICE. I was running the numbers and they weren t adding up and he ran them twice and came up with the same total. Then he treated me like an idiot and took back the product. He gave me the yellow sticky he used to add it up so I reviewed his calculations: 4 halves at 6.2=24.8. 3 dimes 1.25=12.5. 5 quarters 3.1=15.5. Total 52.8. Would be correct for 10 dimes not 3. BEWARE!! CHECK HIS MATH BEFORE YOU BUY OR SELL!!! I will never go to 12th street pawn again because I don t think it was an accident.

I have never had a better experience with any business. Extremely honest and reasonable. I will not use any other pawn shop to make a purchase or if needing a loan. They treat you like a human being and show you respect. We were in a tough bind and they didnt hesitate to try and get me exactly what i needed out of my item. 12th street pawn is amazing! The manager hooked me up big time! A co-worker recommended me there for a turbo torch, when I called asking for one, they didn t have one, he said he d try and get one. In my head I m thinking, yeah okay sure, this guy doesn t care about what I need he says to call back the next day. So I called, he tells me he found one! Over the phone tells me $160. I get to the shop, and he then tells me he did some research and found out they re cheaper, so he d sell it to me for $100!!! Never heard of a shop LOWERING the price, on their own will. This guy really took customer service to a new level!! Thanks 12th street pawn!! I ll definitely come back again!!

12th street pawn is one of the best places to go if u are selling or pawning your things. Mike is a very good man that goes the extra mile for everybody he does price matches and comparisons and always tries to beat anyones prices he is so reasonable that he takes the extra time to go online and check store prices and other things like what they are going for now new and used and he puts that on the item for sale and on the ticket so u can see that u are definately making a good descion. Thanks mike for being great at customer services. And very patient at showing things. He doesnt get mad if U want to see anything in the shop he will take it out explain how it works and give u the best value and if he doesnt have the item u are looking for enuf to point u in the right direction to another store not very many places do that.

Theyre definitely better than all the other shops Ive been to. They treat you better like your actually human haha. They wont completely screw you over like other places will. They will give you decent amounts for things your bringing in to sell. They dont straight low ball you like ez pawn or cash America. I 100% recommend them to anyone looking to pawn.

This is hands down the best pawn shop out there! I bought my wedding ring from here. I also had something stolen from me and the owner was sure to let my know there was a police data base I could call about and they could help me. Great people! Great shop! I will go nowhere else.

Mike is an amazing person to deal with. Ive been going to him for a few years now. If your item drops and they still have it in the store he wont always make you pay a fee 2 get it out. Places like EZPawn and stores like that will charge huge amounts of fees in order to get it out like stocking fees in that its ridiculous once youve dealt with 12th Street. Anything big or anything worth more than $50, I would never take to anybody else Mike literally has helped me out so much in savings and he really does make you feel like part of the store. You can tell at the other stores they just want your money like I said Ive been going for a couple two three years now and have never had a bad experience with Mike and his staff.

When I come here to pawn things I do not feel like I am losing my stuff I feel like I am just going to miss it for a little while...the owner Mike and his employees are absolutely amazing!! They are the most amazing pawn shop I ve ever dealt with and they are the kindest and most understanding people I ve ever dealt with! Wow, cant believe this is the same place with all of these 5 star ratings!! I definitely did not get the hello friend that people speak about!! And the staff not sure who is who did not even want to look at what I brought in!!! I could have had gold coins!! If its not made in the USA they have no use for it!!! Ha ha what is made in the USA anymore, Really!!! If you go there I hope you have a better experience than I did!

A great place for tools, fire arms, hunting gear and traditional consumer electronics. The customer service here was top notch and the pricing is done fairly. The market research is done on the price tag and the staff take time to help you make the best purchase in your budget. I went in to look at tools and came out a life long customer.

Hello friend! is the first thing you will hear walking into this place. I cant tell you how many times Mike has helped us out. My boyfriend bought a beautiful emerald promise ring for me there. We have pawned our guns a few times there too. So long as you let them know whats going on and your situation, they will work with you and help you. They are actually there to HELP and not be shady, creepy dealers. Mike is the best and everyone else there is really nice too. I have an anxiety disorder that makes it hard to talk to strangers, but they are so nice there that I dont have a problem. BEST BUSINESS EVAAAR! ;)

When i first went there and met him i just had got outta surgery battling cancer tryin to get money for another surgery and no one would help me at any pawn shops but when i went there he helped with no questions asked. This place is by far the best pawn shop Ive ever dealt with. Ive lived in California, Vegas and Ogden and I can tell you these guys will treat you good. Mike really cares about you as a customer and will always work with you on your payments if you have a month where you cant come up with the money. Unlike other pawn shops in the area, 12th street actually wants you to get you loaned items back, instead of jumping at the first opportunity to sell them out from under you the first day youre late. It feels like doing business with a friend, and you would be a fool to take your items anywhere else.

This is by far the best pawn shop to do business with. They are in business to make money, but they are the most honest and understanding people to do business with. They totally get what it takes to keep lifetime customers. I have fallen behind on payments to them in the past and they are totally cool about it. Bought a Youth 20 Ga shotgun for home defense from these guys. They were overwhelmingly friendly, totally honest and upfront, and werent afraid to suggest possibilities of how to get stuff for less than they sell it. I have never received such good personal attention and customer service anywhere. And I can attest that they have had the best prices on the stuff I was looking to purchase - I shopped around a LOT to be sure. I cant say enough good words about them.
