I really liked working with Ryan. He even stopped by during closing to answer a few questions I had. I will admit that there was somewhere some confusion where initially they were going to handle all the escrow, but then couldnt and somehow I didnt realize it but I ended up owing it or some odd. As a further note, I left this unbiased review (after indeed working with Ryan) in exchange for an amazon gift card. FTW! Updated, I remembered that he did the rare trick of re locking in the rate for me when it went lower, so bumping to 5 stars.

I have done 3 mortgages through Ryan. I am always impressed by Ryans responsiveness and his optimistic and caring attitude. The rates and closing costs that he offers are always competitive. As a repeat customer, I can confidently say that he consistently looks out for you as a customer and explains things very well. Mortgage rates have been pretty low for the last couple months, so he has been particularly busy during this last time through. We also had a couple instances of going back and forth between us and underwriting. Paper work took a little bit longer because of that and we ended up closing about a week after our locked in rate expired. He was looking out for us when he was able to extend the deadline for the locked in rate, so we were able to keep the super low rate despite the rates increase in the market. A+ work and always a pleasure to work with.

In full disclosure Ryan is my husband. :) Ryan works super hard for all of his clients and really goes above and beyond what is expected. He builds his business by repeat and referral business and so its only in his best interest to do his best so that people come back to him. Ive seen him answer phone calls at all hours of the day for people just to answer there questions about payments or qualifying for a home. I dont always like this, but I know he needs to do this and I know that they appreciate it. I fully recommend him to everyone!

When my wife and I started building a house, I called around to a lot of different mortgage brokers to ask questions about loan options, rates, PMI, etc... I was generally disappointed to find that I knew more about my mortgage options and mortgage insurance rates and terms than most loan officers. When I talked to Ryan though, I could tell that he knew his business. During the loan process, we discussed FHA, USDA, and conventional financing, and he clearly knew a lot about them all. He is also very knowledgeable about rates and trends and what might affect them. Above all, Ryan is dedicated, friendly, patient, and very accessible. Working with Ryan was a great experience for us. He definitely knows his stuff. There was never a question he couldnt answer for us and his answers werent just scripted from some handbook thats not even written in English. We first started discussing the possibility of buying/building a home with Ryan about a year before we ever actually ended up taking the leap and doing it. He was always quick to respond to any questions we had and very thorough in explaining/answering all of our questions every time (even though he knew it was a possibility that it wouldnt turn into any business for him). He never made us feel like we were a waste of his time. Our loan process was very easy and painless. We were shocked at how little work was required on our end of things. I have been going to Ryan for several years with my finance questions. He is upfront and honest and always quick to respond. Recently, when it came time to purchase a home we went to Ryan. He was never pushy. He explained our options and was quick to respond to our questions. When it looked like everything might fall through, Ryan went above and beyond to see the purchase through. Ryan really pulled through for us. We purchased our first home in August 2014. We had just backed out of a purchase at the end of July/beginning of August because of problems found on the inspection report, and then found that our current mortgage banker would no longer have time to help us move forward with the purchase of a home. This was devastating as we had to be out of our current residence by the end of August. So this meant in addition to needing to find another home that we wanted to purchase, we also had to find a new mortgage banker who could help us close in less than 30 days. After find Ryan through a web search and speaking with him in person, we felt good about working with him and that he would be ethical about the home-buying process and wouldnt drop us if there were any hiccups in our purchase. He was always on top of letting us know what he needed from us, and when he needed it by. He made sure that we felt comfortable with the process and was very knowledgeable and willing to share his knowledge with us. We recommend Ryan wholeheartedly.

I had originally posted a review stating why I was upset about my experience with Ryan. I found the email he sent me and responded. The bottom line was miscommunication. At the end, we werent corresponding with Ryan as much, but with a coworker. Because of this, Ryan was unaware that anything was wrong and was unaware of what the coworker was promising us. Ryan has offered to make things better and we appreciate that.

Overall great experience with everyone at security home mortgage. We started the process in the beginning of october and had everything signed and funded by the last week in October. They helped us save on our interest rate and we lowered our financing years. They answered all questions in a timely manner and were always friendly. I have worked with Ryan on two mortgages and I wont work with anyone else. He is so fun to work with. He has a great sense of humor to keep the process light and easy. I can text him at 8 pm at night or on weekends with questions and he responds quickly. He makes time to see me if I need an office visit. One of my mortgages was more complex and I gave up on the process before he did. He talked through the process and encouraged me that we were at the end, and 2 days later it was done! Ryan even made time to talk with my daughter on how she can start preparing to apply for a mortgage so she can buy a house. Ryan knows his stuff. First time home buyer (unsolicited review): Before meeting Ryan, I had done a lot of research on the mortgage loan process and consulted with 4 different lenders. I decided to go with one but pulled the plug at the last minute due to a lack of transparency on the lenders part. I was very stressed out because I had to start from square 1 with looking for a lender that I considered trustworthy, transparent, reliable, and offered great rates. After my meeting with Ryan, I felt a huge weight had been lifted off (had a restful sleep that night). I finally was able to focus on other areas of my life because Ryan proved himself to be very capable of getting the job done and delivers VALUE to his clients. Our neighbor referred us to Ryan. Im so glad they did. Ryan was extremely hard working. He gave all options available to us. Advised which loan he thought would be the best for our specific needs. He helped us know what steps we needed to take to clean up items on our credit report that shouldnt have been there. He tried to make it as easy and painless as possible. We refinanced our rental property with Ryan about a year ago (well before COVID-19).
