Mat with one T in the firearms and ammunition and accessories you are phenomenal! I have to say today was probably the best experience I’ve ever had purchasing anything! And that’s saying something lol. Any how it’s been a long time since I’ve shot anything so I was a bit apprehensive going in. I knew what I had in mind. This kind young man quickly made contact which was wonderful! That’s great customer service not seen most places. I explained what I was looking for, but completely open to his plethora of knowledge which is what he had! And wow I was amazed at what he was able to teach me about my purchases! 2 different items I was interested in beyond happy with them both. Can’t wait to shoot them. I went in with purpose came out with knowledge I didn’t have walking in. I didn’t feel belittled made to feel like I’m an idiot that is 200% of what I know is excellent customer service! The pricing on new products I actually was shocked, very affordable! Mat took his time to explain exactly what I was buying, considering recoil for me as well as to how many parts when breaking it down to clean! What was best to keep it cleaned. How often to clean it to firing ratio, down to what ammo was best for what situations. To the pattern of ammo. He shared he had sister, so with her in mind I felt that he truly cared about me and what I was buying. I wasn’t just a customer in the store to purchase so let’s take advantage!! 10 ⭐️’s!! I will tell everyone definitely to go see Mat and I will definitely call him for any further knowledge or purchases or questions! Thank you so much you made my first time purchase amazing 🙏 if I was the in a position to give him a raise I most definitely would whoever is. What an asset this young man is to that department! Anyplace!

This was the absolute worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. My spouse and I went into buy a personal protection gun for our home because he already has two weapons but one is fairly large and the other one is a subcompact with a lot of recoil and neither of these I’m comfortable using. I have nothing negative whatsoever to say about the saleswoman that dealt with me, she was excellent. She was extremely helpful and was really really nice about letting me see all the guns and find one that felt really good in my hand and compare and go back-and-forth. That was a fantastic experience, but I’m giving us one star for everything that happened afterwards. We decided to go ahead and pawn his subcompact and use those funds to go towards a gun that I was comfortable with. The guy that we sold them was functional and worked perfectly. I picked out a gold glitter ceracoated Glock 43x. This gun was brand new and has never been shot. After pawning his gun I still had to spend about $450 which seemed like a good deal because the ceracoating is pretty expensive. My husband went the next day and picked it up and he decided that he would go home oil it up and take it to the gun range to try it out. He brought it home and took it apart, and immediately noticed a problem when he tried to put it back together. He couldn’t get it together, and he didn’t know if there was a trick to it that he was missing because he’s never owned a Glock brand weapon before. He took it to the gun range and spoke to their gun repair person who is certified to work on Glocks and asked him if he could just help him put it together and tell him what he was doing wrong so that he could do it the next time. The gentleman spent about 15 minutes, trying to put it together and couldn’t get it to work either and he was very confused as to why it wouldn’t go together because he said it shouldn’t be all that difficult. he also commented about the ceracoating because he is also licensed to do it and he said that whoever did it didn’t know what they were doing because you were not supposed to ceracoat the inside of a slide. At this point, it seemed pretty unusable. My husband decided to go back up to action on and see if the ladies who sold it to us could show us whatever trick they use to put it back together since it was supposed to be fully function tested before it was sold to us. My husband immediately stopped by the manager who said that they weren’t going to be able to help us and was completely unconcerned that he sold us a product that was not functional. I sold them a perfectly functional weapon and they sold me an unfunctional one. The manager was extremely rude to my husband and seemed completely unconcerned about trying to do anything that would help us, and my husband asked him what the trick was to getting it together since he should have taken it apart and checked it and put it back together when it was sold, the manager admitted that he never even bothered to do that so he didn’t even do his job. We just got it an hour beforehand and the only thing they would do is refer us to Glock for the warranty, which is absolutely ridiculous because it would be one thing if it had been something we broke, but the thing has never even been used, the only thing we’ve done it literally removed the slide, which is a normal thing to do because weapon maintenance is taking off to clean it and to oil it. My spouse is perfectly familiar with this process and how to go about doing it.I will be contacting corporate and trying to figure out how to actually get some help from the store. Don’t ever go buy anything from there. They don’t care about their customers or stand behind their products. They basically sold me a $600 paperweight. The manager was very rude to my husband and provided us terrible customer service. If I could give them zero stars, I would. Updating … it cost me $25 to fix my brand new gun because the company they used overdid the ceracoating and it had to be scraped out of the inside of the barrel.

The most striking thing off the bat is that the place is massive. They have a lot of pretty much everything. They seem to sell a few things like a normal store but 90% of their stuff looks like the typical pawned items. The staff was very welcoming and helpful and the prices felt fair for what I am use to seeing in pawn shops these days.

I will particularly note that they had a massive amount of power tools, guns and guitars.

I shop here regularly for deals on things that I normally could not afford brand new. Great place well informed staff. This place was once amazing for music.I hope they get the music section back up running again. But if you need a gun they sure got em.

I come to Killeen once a year for work and make it a point to always stop by this store. I do a lot of pawn shopping and this place is unlike any other shop. I do a lot of pawn shopping in the Austin area and was so glad to see a long time Austin Firstcash manager named Gabe take over this store. The selection is huge and Gabe cut me a great deal on a Louis Vuitton bag for my wife.

Purchased a handgun for my wife they stated was brand new although it had some kind of aftermarket gold glitter coating on the slide. My wife did all the talking with the saleswoman while I sold another item of my own. I took the pistol home to break down, oil and get ready to practice at the range when I found I was unable to put the slide back on. My gun range gunsmith attempted himself with no luck. His slide would go on my frame, but not my slide on his or my frame. I went back to Action Pawn to see how they got it on there. The manager asked the gun saleswoman why it would do that, and she said no idea, so the manager stated my only option would be to warranty through the manufacturer. After attempting to figure out how they got the slide on again, he continued to simply state it was functioning earlier before we left but also admitted he did not remove the slide to confirm. He simply shut down and refused to talk any further after I called him out for lying to me while another big employee started inching up on me aggressively. I expressed my dissatisfaction with them being so quick to take my money but not to make this situation right, and the guy just laughed. I turned around and walked out saying yeah great job on the sale though and he said thank you. What freakin scam artists

Customer service here manages to be both rude and nonexistent at the same time. Employees are incompetent, rude, and lazy. If you ve got money to spend, I suggest you do it somewhere else, thats what I ve decided to do just now sitting in the parking lot. They probably won t miss my sale too much but I can go spend this $4800 I won somewhere people at least act like they give a $hit. Trash.

We had a horrible experience!!! Doug, the so-called Manager was so rude and disrespectful to us. We had been in there the day before and spent over $1,500 and had a great experience, but today this horrible man, Doug yelled at us at the 5 of us (all paying customers) over a $200 bracelet we were looking to buy. We will NEVER go back. I even told him we were going to leave a bad review for the store and he said GOOD as he was yelling at us. I don t know who would hire this man and put him in a management position with no customer service skills whatsoever. Action Pawn, you can do much better for your customers!!!

Went in to buy an Xbox that is called about. I was told it was $180.00. When I got there several days later, the Xbox was $130.00! What a lovely surprise. It works great. EVERYONE was helpful. Im glad I didnt read the reviews here before I went in the store. Because they are so misleading. Now if these reviews were for the Copperas Cove store... well theyd be true. No one there really wants to work...and I was only offered $2.00 for a 14kt white gold band with an 1/4ct decent diamond in it. While many diamonds in the display jewelry case had so obviously been replaced with synthetic diamonds. How could I tell...I have 3 uncles who are goldsmiths and run jewelry stores and 1 uncle whos a silversmith. I started working in the jewelry stores when I was 8, thats how I know what I saw. However, to be fair, I did look at the jewelry display case in Killeen and the stones there hadnt been replaced, they were real.

My father visited this prejudice establishment on 12/16 hoping to do a little Christmas shopping and while viewing the jewelry an older male clerk stated, let me know when you re ready to buy what you re looking at. My father replied, I wouldn t buy this jewelry here, it s less expensive at Zales. Shortly after he found a gun he wanted to purchase. The same older male clerk came to assist, asked for ID and walked away. My dad pulls out his CHL ready to fill out paperwork and the clerk comes back and says, I m sorry I can t sell you a gun today I smelled a hint of weed on you when you first came in. According to our store policy we can t sell guns to a person under the influence of weed or alcohol. Understandable, BUT my father doesn t smoke any type of substance at all!!! My dad pointed out when he initially entered the store that there were other customers entering when they greeted one another and he asked the clerk if he smelled weed on him away from everyone else. The gentleman said, NO, but I have to go with my initial impression. You can put the gun on lay away and get it later. Long story short the manager Doug backed the clerk stating his sense of smell was affected by COVID and he wasn t able to tell if my father smelled liked marijuana or not. In passing while leaving 2 other employees who were clueless to the ordeal stated, THEY DID NOT SMELL MARIJUANA ON MY DAD. And when informed on the incident they stated the store policy which is understandable but this was blatant discrimination. My father is a retired veteran who currently works for the school district. He s doesn t smoke and anyone that knows him will back it up. The clerk didn t like my fathers remark about the jewelry and decided to exercise the little power he holds and Doug, a good manager will back their employees when they re right and stand up for the customer when they re being wronged. COVID my foot. Weed has a strong distinct smell that doesn t go away within 10 mins of entering a store, it lingers just saying. It s a shame what my father had to experience at this establishment.

I called asking if they had any XBOX 360 controllers. Lady said yeah we have a couple, come up here. I did. Dragged both my toddlers up to the store and guess what they didn t have. How hard is it to take two seconds to send someone to your game system area and check? Don t lie to people out of laziness. Some people really do call ahead for a reason.

I ve read bad reviews yet still gave them a chance. I was going to see how much they will offer for two items. They offered me $250 for a glock 17 that is worth (gunbroker) $500+ and vortex magnifier that is worth $200 only $50. It wasn t even negotiating, it was slap in the face. Managers would not honor the advertised marked down price. Refused to sell the pawned item that had been there for over a year for the markdown price because it was new and still in the box. I am contacting their corporate office, reporting to the FTC and filing complaint with BBB. If you want to loose, time, gas and money. This is the perfect store for you! They accept items for you with the wrong address in your license and at the time to pickup You need have exactly the address on your id. And charge you $5.40 additional. Even if you already paid off the item! If your license said Fort Hood and No Fort Cavazos. Be ready for loose time, gas and $11.00 for replace your license online. Many places still on file like Fort Hood/ the Fort Cavazos still on transition! Address are the same. Ifnt the fault of the ppl if the base change his name. Address is the same

I went up to the place to purchase a gun, when I was informed that Doug a manager in the firarm department made the comment You can not buy a gun for your husband, we take it seriously that was never said by me or my husband, I came up to purchase my own firearm. The manager Logan had condensing attitude with a touch of unintelligent by respond with a comment that was not made and twisted it around, it is clear this is not a good place of business.

Wish I could put no stars as their employee lied and told me and told me there would not be the $15 interest rate because it was a next day loan. Then while talking to my husband glen wanted to step into our conversation and tell me that his employee knew what she was talking about yet wouldn t take the $15 interest rate off after his employee specifically said there wouldn t be one. Definitely won t be pawning anything there again.

Take something in there worth $100 they will only offer $10, go in there with something worth $200 they will only offer you $10, go in there with hundreds of dollars worth of something and they will ONLY OFFER $10. We have Action Pawns this size in San Antonio, but this one was much better stocked when it came to firearms and firearm parts than any of the others Ive been to. I browsed the rest of the store as well, but found prices on the electronics, speakers, PCs, laptops and cameras to be a bit high. Didnt really find any bargains. Definitely a good place to go if your looking for affordable magazines for nearly any rifle or pistol, or maybe some kind of accessory as they had backpacks, cases, cleaning supplies, ect. Felt like I was in a gun shop more than a pawn shop.

Came in to get a specific item I remembered them having before, I arrived at at 7:45PM and the employee who was still working in the gun section rudely said that that part of the store closes 30 min early. I told him the exact item I needed , and he just shrugged. No where on the website (which is nothing but the address and the WRONG hours of operation) or anywhere else online could I find that the gun section closes early, I could understand not conducting gun sales 30 min before store close, but not selling parts doesn t make sense. I ve heard bad things about that place from other friends but always said a good word about action pawn. Not anymore though, I m going to take my business elsewhere.the previous bad experience I had was waiting at the gun counter and being passed over by old men and having to wait longer, I saw a other comment saying they were racist, it s just a age thing if you are under 40 they don t care.

Horrible place to do business with. Bought two pistols from this place went to the gun range for the first time with them and they nearly rattled apart in my hands. Went back and said there was nothing they could do. So many better pawn shops in the area, I will never do business there again.

This place charges the same as retail sometimes more, don t waste your gas, but online. Plus if you buy retail you can return merchandise, not always the case here.

Went in today to buy a gun my friend said the store had. I waited 25 minutes for the younger gentlemwn to help me. He kept saying i will be right with u. Ole white man behind the counted didnt even sak could he help. But when a white man came to the counter he immediatly ask can i help u. The ole white man (al) is a complete raciat.i spoke to the manager who agreed witg what u was saying about racism has no place in here but when i was walking out the manager was going in the opposite direction of the person that was the problem. Melinated people have should boycott this store and do no business there.

If I could give a 0 I would literally. They did not give me a receipt, but continued to argue that they give everyone a receipt. Everything you buy from here is either broken are too expensive.

Got a loan on 4 guns. Carlos pushed my due date out for me and put a note in the system. DO NOT PULL UNTIL APRIL 16th! As I was going to pay off the loan on April 16th. I went in yesterday (April 2nd) to find all my guns were pulled and put back in inventory. Carlos was not there to speak to and the staff was not willing to review the notes and comply with his orders. Im more than upset as these guns were left to my husband by his father whom is no longer with us. Im considering legal action at this point.

I went through just their tool section alone and i was looking at just their Dewalt tools alone (my personal favorites). They are selling used tools at the price of what you can get them for brand new off Amazon or other tool websites. I would rather buy them brand new than deal with possible unforseen problem created by a previous owner.

Action Pawn sold my friend a PS4. When he plugged it in at home, the console overheated and was unusable. My friend tried to return it not even 24 hours later and was told he can either use the money he paid for it as credit toward another one or pay the 15% restocking fee. I asked the manager why they would even charge a restocking fee on a 100% defective/broken console and was pretty much told to fk off. Also, when asked why they would charge a restocking fee on something that doesnt work as if they were going to put it on the shelf again, he answered thats exactly what they were going to do. Wrap it up and put it back on the shelf. Dont go here... luckily theres tons of other pawn shops in Killeen

I bought a Ps4 pro 1tb from Action Pawn yesterday. NOT even 24 hours and the ps4 was overheating and I couldn t even play a game on it. I went to get my money back since they sold me a defective item, and they charged me a 15% stocking fee! They said they re putting it right back on the shelf. DONT BUY FROM HERE THEY SELL BROKEN ITEMS!

I went looking for a small wrench. I found in miscellaneous tools bin. Went to pay and manager asked if he could help me find something. I showed him tool and asked how much. He replied, you can have. Maybe he thought, I could have just stuck in my pocket since he didnt see I had in hand. It pays to be honest.

My wife and I came to Action Pawn with a bag full of jewelry that was left to me by my late mother. It was loaned to try and obtain my wife the new car she desperately needed. It was scary to leave something that was cherished by my mother so much in the hands of strangers. I showed up and the Manager immediately did not sugar coat anything about the value of the products and helped me select the most efficient pieces out of the lot, and set up a whole team to help me get exactly what I needed! They were truly a blessing!!! I could not be more thankful to Doug and his team!

I bought a gun, the very next day I bought it back to and told them if I could get my refund back I would be happy to put it back on layaway. The workers there were all trying to help me out except for the manager. He gave me a hard time and charged me a restocking fee. I thought it was a great go to place..I looked forward to spending a lot of money there. They no longer have my business. The workers there are lovely, kind and have a great attitude. Definitely management issues though. The atmosphere says it all.. I understand its a business, but whats a business that doesnt put the customer first.

Refused to sell to a gun (I have a concealed carry) because my son who is 18 was going to use it at a range. They have no real clue of texas law very unprofessional. Guess its better just to lie to the uneducated. Will NEVER go back.

Would love to give a huge shout out to Haillie Hatfield for her genuine honesty as she found my husbands wallet in the parking lot and promptly took several steps to get in touch with him to return it (he did return to get it) that situation could have gone an entirely different direction had it fallen into the wrong hands and replacing your entire identity in the time we are in is not anything anyone is willing to go through we commend her for her genuine display of honesty and professionalism and are so great full she did the right thing and for this she deserves a raise and an award

The most striking thing off the bat is that the place is massive. They have a lot of pretty much everything. They seem to sell a few things like a normal store but 90% of their stuff looks like the typical pawned items. The staff was very welcoming and helpful and the prices felt fair for what I am use to seeing in pawn shops these days. I will particularly note that they had a massive amount of power tools, guns and guitars.

I put a MacBook in layaway for my son i paid to get it out ,it was icloud locked, the mgr on duty refused to give full refund when the store was at fault for having it for sale with icloud lock the cost was $757.00 CALLED ANOTHER ACTION PAWN THEY SAID IF ITS SOMETHING THEIR AT FAULT OF SALE FOR SOMETHING THAT DOESNT WORK THERE IS A FULL REFUND PAYED I JUST WANT MY MONEY WE CANT DOWNLOAD ANYTHING IVE BEEN DOING BUSINESS FOR YEARS WITH THEM AND THIS HOW IM TREATED we were going to exchange for a different MacBook that same mgr said it was unable to use after he connected it to the store wifi and tried going into it, left it on the shelf thats wrong Im in tears IF MR.DOUG WAS IN HE WOULD OF HANDLED THINGS DIFFERENT WHEN ITS SOMETHING AT FAULT OF THE STORE LIKE HE DID IN THE PAST

Want good guns, at fair prices, Action Pawn is the place to go in this area. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly, will t try to rip you off for a quick sell or anything like that. Ron, Doug and the rest of the guys are good old boys I like to call my friends, gone out of there way over the years to help me with what ever I needed. Will not do business anywhere else when I need a gun (and I always need a gun ).

Good service as always. Only thing keeping me from giving them 5 stars is the fact that they used my personal info provided on the 4473 to send me a text asking for a review. Ive purchased many guns from them over the years, and will now consider giving them a fake number to prevent getting unwanted texts at 730 pm.
