After driving by this small, unassuming watch and jewelry store for many years I finally stopped in to get my watch battery replaced. Pete and the other staff were courteous, professional, and the service was quick to replace my watchs battery. The shop also has an eclectic and interesting mix of jewelry, precious metal bars, coins, currency, watches, and other collectibles. They even have a collection of Hess Oil toy trucks (which I once had when I worked in the oil industry)! Pete is an interesting man, whose vast memories of Montrose and Houston include lots of colorful tales and insights. They also have specialist watchmakers (I am not sure if they are located on-site) who service and repair Rolex, Omega, Patek, and other luxury watches. Overall, I highly recommend Ace Watch and Jewelry.

Purchased a Rolex for my dad a few days before thanksgiving and unfortunately had to come back because it wasn t running as expected. With a 1 year warranty they apologized and shipped it off for service free of charge! After Thanksgiving we received the watch back after getting service but unfortunately it stopped running again and when I brought it back the next day and told them I may have a defective watch and if I could get a refund! The owner came out refunded us without hesitation and apologized and I am sure was embarrassed! I was truly amazed by the customer service and honesty of the business! It was rare we had a defective watch but I will definitely recommend and would do business with them again! Thanks Pete and Juan for honest and great customer service!

I went in to get the strap installed back on my watch and turned out the strap was 1 mm too wide so it was not able to fit my watch properly. Nick was kind enough to find another similar looking strap that could fit my watch and put it back on the watch temporarily until I find another one that was the correct size. And all of this was on the house. The service here is like no other and I high recommend anyone to come here for all your watch needs. Thank you Nick!!

I love this place. Went there to have them replace the batteries for my watch and to adjust the links for another watch. The guy there was so sweet, he changed the watch battery and adjusted the link and then told me no charge!! I purchased a Rolex back in May. (I found it online, and drove an hour and a half to pick it up). Total cost was a little over $6,000. It s condition was rated 9.5, came with box, etc. it looked like a brand new watch, and I loved it. It also came with a 1 year warranty and I was told by Juan it was recently serviced. 4 months later, I noticed that the magnifier (above the date) was missing. Looked like it just fell off. No other scratches, cracks, or damage to the crystal face at all. I called Juan and was told to bring it in. I explained I was an hour and a half drive and he said that they had a watch repair guy on site and to bring it. The next day I drove to Houston. When I got there, I was pretty mich ignored, and was told they had to send it off. In return, I would get a piece of an envelope (I guess as proof ). This was not at all what I had been told when I called. I would avoid this place at all costs. They apparently use cheap after market parts to make the watches look good in the case, but clearly are not good quality. The only reason I give a 1 star rating is because it wouldn t let my give zero stars. I also plan on reporting this to the BBB. they were great with the purchase, but I was treated terrible when I needed customer service.

I dont usually write reviews, but I have a lot of experience doing business with coin dealers in the Houston area, and I cant say enough good things about my recent transactions with Houston Coin Buyer on Westheimer. Its a very friendly and welcoming place - theres no drama or irritating pretension - but most importantly, their prices on silver buillion coins beat every other dealer in town. They openly admit that theyre not always going to have the best price on every product, but Id definitely recommend stopping by in person before you make a deal somewhere else.

Great place to both buy or sell watches, jewelry, or coins. I ve sold quite a few watches over the years to them and they ve always given me fair market value. They ve even taken things they knew would take a while to sell just to maintain good business relationships with their clients. I highly recommend them. Side note, they have a very small parking lot. Parking can be a tad difficult, but their service, in my opinion, makes it worth it. Additionally, if you are looking for a particular watch and they don t have it, talk to them. I had an issue with an order and it took me nearly a year to figure it out. I called them and the owner personally addressed it the next day. You dont get that kind of service from a giant repository, and doing business with someone that you know has a lot of value.

I made a phone call to a coin dealer in Houston and the sales person was arrogant and didnt seem to care about what I was saying. The person was just trying to get me off the phone. My next phone call was to Ace Watch & Jewelry. The sales person was polite, friendly and knowledgeable. He took time and interest in the coins that I wanted to sell. I went to their store the next day and sold my coins. The entire sales staff was friendly. They offered good prices for my coin collection. Excellent experience, entered store to get my some coins valued ended up doing a trade! Very happy, I now have some a mix of US coins dating back to the mid 1800s and also a nice stack of unc silver dollars.

I love that its a family run business snug in the heart of Montrose with a long history in the neighborhood. Ive come a few times in need of guidance on exchanging coins I have at home and each and every employee Ive met has been knowledgeable, honest and downright warm so that I left feeling like Id made a wonderful choice. I recently found this place while trying to find somewhere to get my watched resized. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes and they didnt charge me a cent. They also has a cute dog that i got to pet while i waited. Good service and good dog, 10/10

I came here to sell some jewelry from an ex-boyfriend. The staff were very friendly and greeted me as soon as I walked in. I let the gentleman at the counter take a look at the pieces and he was very honest and told me I would have more luck selling one of the pieces on my own and even gave me a price recommendation. The second item was a silver bracelet and they gave me a very fair price for it. This was my first time selling jewelry to a gold buyer and I was nervous, but the process was easy and the staff were great!

The owner is very knowledgeable and incredibly friendly!!!! He fixed my jewelry correctly!! As opposed to going to Nordstrom where I purchased my watch, I went to him not because of yelp reviews but because the shop was in the area. He knew all about my watch and more. We chatted and I somehow forgot why I came. He was soo nice and professional. I told him I would write this review last year. I kept the receipt on my stand. Thats the impression he made on me; a lasting one. A year later and here I am writing a review that I was supposed to do a long time ago!

Steer clear of this location. I called in advance to ensure we were on the same page when I arrived to sell my gold coins. He quoted me $1207 per coin but once I arrive he switches the payout to 1137. Needless to say I am disappointed and will never return to do business again with these CROOKS
