Houston Diamond District

I ordered a pair of diamond and 14k rose gold earrings from houston diamond district, through Amazon. I paid $3,341.08. After wearing the earrings for two weeks, my ears became red and itchy (because I am very allergic to nickel, brass, copper and other mixed metals. I can't even wear sterling silver). I read the description carefully to ensure I was getting solid gold, not plated gold. Please see my photos of the earrings-they are tarnished and badly faded. Real gold does not fade. The worst part? The company agreed to give me a refund if I sent the earrings back to them. They sent me a return label, but once they received the earrings, they only gave me A PENNY back as a refund! ONE PENNY!!! How does a company get away with scamming an innocent buyer? I didn't do anything wrong except trust this company with my hard earned money (I saved for many months to buy these earrings)! It's wrong and they need to be held accountable for keeping the earrings and not issuing a refund! Please find another company who will treat you with respect and kindness. A trustworthy company understands how hard you work and save to buy something nice and will not cheat you.

The ring I got from them was amazingly beautiful. I sent it back because I decided to go a different route with jewelry so I returned it through Amazon. They gave me a full refund 5 days later. Easy to work with and keeps communication.

This ring is even more gorgeous in person and is sparkly. I was a bit nervous about purchasing sight unseen but it honestly was such a pleasant surprise. I did receive a call from Nathan asking me if I would like a better quality center stone for the same price which was awesome (a tiny bit smaller)—I received a VVS when the initial order was for a VS. The Diamond also comes with the certificate and an appraisal. I have received so many compliments and the best part is that these are priced at true wholesale cost. In comparison, this lab grown diamond ring would’ve been double the price I paid. They also do custom pieces so don’t hesitate to call their friendly customer service for your inquiries if you don’t see exactly what you want. I will be purchasing again! So beyond satisfied!

My experience with Houston Diamond District spans 6 years. In 2018 my then fiancé purchased my engagement ring from Amazon. It arrived in perfect condition and was everything we had hoped for. In 2022 we ordered the matching bands by contacting them directly by phone. Several emails later to ensure a perfect match and we had the matching bands. In 2023 I was married and made a huge mistake by taking my rings to be soldered locally. The local jeweler soldered the rings incorrectly with the engagement ring twisted to the side, ruining the 3 bands by soldering together the prongs that held the diamonds and then refusing to attempt to disassemble the rings to correct their error. I called numerous other local jewelers who were afraid to become involved for fear of further damaging the rings. With nowhere left to turn I called Houston Diamond District in 2024 to see if there was any way they could help me. After several calls and emails, the rep taking suggestions back and forth to the jeweler, discussing all of the possible options, and sending pictures though email we all agreed the best and most economical course of action was to remove all of the diamonds from my damaged rings and place them in 3 new gold mountings. I shipped my rings 2.5 weeks ago and received it back today. It is perfect in every way! I can now look at my hand without feeling the shame of having ruined the rings my husband so lovingly picked out for me. I cannot begin to tell you how much I appreciate their open and honest communication, the time they spent on helping me even though the rings were initially purchased long ago, and the flawless customer service they have provided since 2018. I am forever grateful and wish this company and its fantastic employees nothing but continued success now and in the future. Thank you all so so much for having restored my beautiful rings.

I ordered the 3ct diamond bracelet off of Amazon and the quality wasn t good. Clasp wouldn t even stay locked. They also made a mistake on their end and decided to charge me again 6 months later which I m still fighting.

Do not use this company they will put you through hell. They sent us 2 damaged rings. After several phone calls and weeks past, they have now sent me a ring that is not of very good quality. I would highly recommend you go anywhere else.

My husband ordered me a ring from this company for our 46 wedding anniversary. It is 1.75 Ctw 14k Yellow Gold Channel Baguette Round. It is so pretty and I really like it.It need to be resized. I contacted the company and they told me they will resize it and will mail the package to me to send it back to them. Customer service was very professional and helpful. I can t wait to wear it.

I bought a pair of three carat lab grown diamond earrings for my wife on Amazon from HDD and they delivered in two days. They were gorgeous and Houston Diamond District had actually upgraded the weight at no-charge. Unfortunately they were too heavy for my wife s earlobes. I called the vendor and spoke to Nick and arranged an exchange outside of Amazon. The vendor paid for the return of the earrings and agreed to send the exchanged item as soon as the item delivered back to them. Very effective service and we received the new item within two days. We are very happy with the service and the product and the exchange was easy. It is always a bit concerning buying online but HDD made it easy.

If I could give zero stars I would! We bought an engagement ring from this company and it was very disappointing. This company does not try to take care of their customers. They sent a ring that had a loose center stone, sharp prongs, and a large chip in the main diamond. We had this plotted by a certified gemologist, which is how we learned about the large chip. After contacting this company to have this rectified, they sent us a return shipping label we had to pay $50 for to return it to them for evaluation. When the package arrived it had been ripped open and the ring was missing. Not only did they not have insurance included in the return shipping, they will not honor the insurance they provide simply because it was sent in a fed ex envelope instead of a box. So after spending thousands of dollars with them, the best they will offer to their customers is SOL. This company has no integrity at all! This was overall terrible from day one. I would highly recommend you shop elsewhere when looking for jewelry.

Do not order through Amazon from this vendor. Absolutely horrible business attempted to buy ring for engagement was sent an item with a damaged band and questionable certification. To date I am still fighting with the company to get my money back they refuse to refund and keep trying to talk me into a repair. The quality of this ring was confirmed by a local jewelry store as subpar. Since being in receipt of the item the seller has gone silent and keep harassing me and trying to violate Amazon s terms of service. This issue will most likely end with law enforcement involvement and a chargeback. You have been warned this is the experience you will have with this trash product and vendor. DO NOT BUY!!! I did not understand much about Blue diamonds and I called to speak to them and they answered every question and more. They even made me a better deal than I found. I had a separate appraisal done by a local gia certified jeweler. Ring is a much lower quality in color and clarity.The questionable appraisal provided by this company said ring was igi certified. I spoke with Nick who offered a 200 refund or he could produced an igi certificate. At this point I could tell by his tone and choice of words I would rather get a refund and spend my money elsewhere. Thank god I purchased this through Amazon who was able to provide me a full refund.

Not only did my gorgeous princess cut diamond earrings get to me so quickly, (two nights I believe) But they were also reasonably priced and just straight up beautiful pieces of jewelry. I ve already now ordered another pair, 1.5 ct round blue diamond studs, worth every penny. The blue of my newest earrings is, is, it s just beautiful!!!!! The phone number on google and the paperwork is not the right number. They don t return phone calls or call back when messages left. I ve called 3 times in the last two weeks and have got no where to get my ring fixed that my husband bought me for Christmas. Broke just over a month after getting it. Very upset that this place of business is not good on their word. My husband spend $3000 hard earned on a ring that I can t even wear because it needs repaired because of poor quality! Hoping they make it right!!

I bought a ring from Houston Diamond District on Amazon, it looked much nicer in pictures than in reality so I requested a return. I am still trying to get my money back! I returned the ring in the correct timeframe, with all necessary paperwork, and I was refunded $0.01 for an $1800.00 ring. That s not a typo folks! I ve contacted Amazon, I ve had several interactions with HDD by email. First they denied the ring was returned even after issuing a 1 cent refund, now they are asking what date it was returned. Seriously? I cannot caution you strongly enough about this seller. You may very well end up with a lovely ring but the return policy sold me on HDD and so far it s a complete nightmare. HDD has stolen $1800.00 dollars from me, they have no interest in honoring their return policy. I would strongly caution any potential customers do not buy from HDD, they do not honor their online policies.

Warning: this establishment is the bottom of the barrel for quality + workmanship. The engagement ring I bought broke 3 weeks before my wedding day!!. No modifications were made, it was the right size, it was guaranteed to be a quality product. To add on to our distress, Nathan accused me of dropping it and reluctantly agreed to take it back and fix it for an exorbitant shipping and handling price. Getting a response from Nathan and associates was like pulling teeth; condescending, humiliating, and enduring to say the least. The repair was an amateur weld-like bandaid fix that made the ring look even cheaper! But wait there is more! A few months later the ring broke... Yup in the same place they put the bandaid solder. Make no mistake about it. If you buy from these guys youre buying from crooks! Get a quality diamond from anywhere else, just not this scam brewery

I just received my diamond cross necklace. My necklace is absolutely beautiful! I am sure many would agree that jewelry, especially fine jewelry, is a purchase that is hard to make online. I can assure you that Houston Diamond District is where you need to go. I called there first with a few questions and even though they were closing, the gentleman stayed on the phone answering all of my questions and was so helpful in finalizing my decision. My husband is not an easy sale on things and when I showed him my necklace, he said it was beautiful and the perfect size. I am so happy with my purchase. My wife s ring literally broke in two. Nathan who responds to emails after serveral days delay and won t return calls stated their lifetime warranty doesn t apply to abuse. Not sure why someone would abuse a wedding ring or do so with out obvious sign of bends, scuffs or ???? Their rings are poor quality and their customer service level makes their rings actually look good.... it s seriously that bad. Save yourself the time, money and disappointment. Get your ring at any other place than Houston diamond district.

Nick and Nathan were awesome in helping me get that perfect engagement ring for my then girlfriend. I called them based on a ring I saw on Amazon, and they sold me a ring with a bigger carat better color and cut for the same price. We had the ring appraised by a local jeweler and his value was within a couple $100 of their appraised value, which I paid less than 60% for. All in all, I am very pleased with my purchase and recommend them to anyone looking for a very good ring at a great price for their significant other.

Purchased 4/5 Carat Diamond studs from Amazon. I received an email wanting to know if I would like to downsize my earrings for a better quality for the same price. I declined because I wanted a larger diamond than what I had previously. When I received these diamonds, the inclusions were so large in both diamonds, neither of them had a sparkle. One of the diamonds had a black streak of carbon going across the middle of it. I cant believe they would sell such horrible quality of diamonds and expect people to keep them. I returned them and the tracking said it was delivered to them on February 22nd. I called to see when my refund would be processed and Espi said the paperwork hasnt even been started yet. She said that it would be a process and it would have to go through another person and so on. She said I would have to call back on March 3rd to find out whats going on. Horrible customer service! Do NOT purchase from them. Spend the extra money and get some quality diamonds!

Initially, I was very happy with the customer service provided by Nick & Nathan. However, after the money was exchanged, the customer service went completely downhill. When I received the ring, it was 2 full sizes larger than I ordered. When I made them aware, they did offer to re-set it in the correct sizing but said it would take 2 weeks to order it. Inside of those two weeks, one of the side diamonds fell out of the ring due to not being properly secured. Because of this, I took it to a local jeweler who noticed several other loose stones in what they called a cheap Chinese setting. Because of this, I decided to purchase a similar, more secure setting from my local jeweler and have them re-set all the stones, at an additional cost of $1200. Furthermore, the appraisal provided with the original ring was for $15,000 more than the appraisal I received from the local GIA certified jeweler for the exact same diamonds, in a very similar setting. Thats not a typo, there was a $15,000 difference in valuation between the two jewelers. I sent two emails to Nathan and Nick trying to figure out how there could possibly be such a large discrepancy on valuation as I wanted to give them the opportunity to explain. However after several weeks I received absolutely no response from either of them. Hardly the experience you expect as a customer who spent five figures on an engagement ring. I encourage the owners to respond to this post with an explanation as they have ignored all of my previous communications.

After doing my share of diamond shopping in the Jewelry stores in various malls, and always having to pay more to get a quality diamond-hours later, it was actually a pleasant experience purchasing from the Houston Diamond District. Nathan took his time, only pulling out the stones of the grade that I wanted. He was very knowledgeable, whether it be the proper style stone- to the setting that we had it mounted in. He even had the wedding band made from a drawing that we came up with that day. I will be a repeat customer at the Houston Diamond District for many reasons. They have the best diamonds at prices that cant be beat, as there is no middleman to take a cut. They make it an enjoyable and relaxing experience- NO PRESSURE! They are willing work with you to get what you want. If everyone that works there is as awesome as Nathan, and I am sure that they are- the mall jewelry stores should just close shop, they wont get my business ever again (even if they claim that it is a 50% off sale). Ive always been hesitant to purchase diamonds online. In the past, Ive only ordered pre-owned rings through a major jewelry store on their website. I found this company through Amazon and after careful consideration and speaking with Nathan directly, I took the plunge. WOW! The diamond is amazing. Color (E) and clarity (VVS2) was spot on! Even I was pleasantly surprised that they really did have beautiful certified diamonds at unbeatable prices. Furthermore, they have a 30-day hassle free return policy so you can see the stones for yourself and get them inspected elsewhere if you choose to. I took mine to a couple of jewelers who couldnt believe that I got diamonds of that quality and appearance at the price I did. They also have a policy that allows you to upgrade for life and get 100% of the value of your purchase toward your upgrade. The purchase even came with an appraisal for insurance purposes and quick 2-day FedEx shipping. I would without question recommend this company to family and friends and I dont say this lightly. I ordered the wrong size by accident. I contacted the seller and asked them to make it in the correct size and they were very happy to do so, didnt ask me to resubmit the order or cause any inconvenience for me. I thought this might cause a delay but I wasnt concerned. I was notified that my ring had shipped but it didnt arrive. I contacted the seller, the apologized for the error and shipped my ring overnight. I assume the shipping got delayed or slowed b/c I changed my order, but as soon as I asked for an update the shipping was upgraded and I got my ring the next day. I am so pleased with the fit, style, service and product that I will be a customer for life. Thank you guys for making me such a happy client!

Extremely disappointed. They market their diamonds on Amazon like .48 carat diamond ring, THEN they say down in the description that the center stone is .25 carat. Shame on them. A man might not know the difference, but I do and its sneaky and not right. If their products were that good, they would not need to resort to those tactics.

It is exactly what I wanted, right within my budget, and she absolutely loves it! Buyer beware!!!! Houston Diamond District stole $1731.50 from me!!! I purchased an engagement ring form them through Amazon. They took two weeks to complete the order. It was supposed to ship within 5 days. I was gone when the ring finally arrived. When i got home and reviewed the item i realized that it was not nearly as excellent in person as in their pictures. The color was completely different and even the side diamonds were different. I contacted the seller about returning the item. By then it was over 30 days from the original purchase date, so they refused to accept it back, even though it took them 15 days to get it to me. I contacted Amazon and thru them the buyer agreed to accept the item back and refund me. I sent the item back and waited for a refund. After not being refunded withing the allotted time I contacted Amazon. They contacted Houston Diamond District who said they had not received the ring. I sent the tracking number to Amazon showing its arrival and they forwarded that to the seller telling them the refund was late and needed to be paid. Then they only refunded me half of the original purchase price and claimed the rest as a restocking and shipping fee. I was only refunded $1731.50 of the original purchase price of $3463.00 I have spent many hours trying to get my money refunded, and they have not cooperated, hanging up when i call to talk to them. I am through trying to work this out with them and will have my lawyer start on this now.

My now fiancée loved the ring! Their prices are very reasonable. And anyone I spoke with on the phone was very helpful. Only small issue is they didnt sell the matching wedding band on amazon with the rest of their products so I had to do a good amount of communicating back and forth over email to finally purchase it. But I wouldnt let anything small like that deter you from selecting a ring from Houston Diamond district they have a great selection to choose from and I couldnt be happier with my purchase.

The process going through Houston Diamond District has not been stressful at all. The ring was great; looked better in person. The details were cool (Im a guy, so I dont know how else to describe it). I am will probably be ordering the wedding band that goes with it; I just have to get the okay from the future mrs. I also mentioned to them that she took the ring in the jacuzzi; and it turned a little yellowish; they said they would be able to take care of that. If you are ring shopping this place is definitely worth looking into!

I purchased a diamond engagement ring (Twisting Infinity Gold and Diamond Split Shank Pave Set Diamond Engagement Ring) from these guys. Simply said, these guys are 5 stars when it comes to service and value. Read further if you want to hear my story. Im a fire captain for a large fire department in California. I have had a local guy for jewelry for 16 years that I was comfortable with and I trusted. If you buy diamonds, trust is everything. When this guy retired, I had to find someone else and I wasnt crazy about that idea. I did some research and by some chance I happened upon Houston Diamond District. My wifes 50th birthday was coming and I wanted to get her something special since I like to spoil her. I emailed and called Nathan and Nick several times and settled on a 4 ct tennis bracelet. Buying unseen through the internet had me very nervous but they were well rated for I took a chance. What I got was something much better than I had expected. When she saw it she loved it. I thought it looked great. However, having never seen a 4 ct bracelet, I thought I should have gone bigger. I called Nick and because of their 30 return policy, I was able to send it back, exchange it and went to a 6 ct. This exchange process couldnt have been easier. The next step was to get it appraised at an independent gemologist. It turned out we got an even better deal than I had ever hoped for. All in all, probably the best deal I have ever gotten when it comes to jewelry and the service was top notch. Im a customer for life. Id give them 10 stars if I could.

Recently purchased an engagement ring, I did the normal comparison checking in the market and at the chain jewelers stores. The folks at HDD were far and away the best to work with. Once I had the ring design set and quoted I had an unexpected change in timing. My girlfriend had an event move fwd 2 wks and I wanted her to have the ring for that. The order was with HDD for only a day and we had an agreed delivery of 10 days. I spoke with only one person there, who also sent me emails with status as they made changes. They pulled the ring fwd and shipped it within 2 days, arrived to me by noon on the 3rd day. The ring was fantastic, exactly as advertised. For a sanity check I did visit with 2 of the chain stores to have a plan b in place. Id never bought jewelry on line and was a bit unsure. The chain stores could not even come close on cost, based on what I had coming from HDD, showed them the specs and reluctantly admitted I had a great deal. Asked me to bring it by when I got it. I did and again they said the ring was great and they could not come close to it. I highly endorse HDD, fantastic product and service!

These guys are the real deal. Best diamond in your price range. You can get twice the diamond for your budget here than if you buy it at any other retail stores. They spend a lot of time with you and really show you the subtle differences between different stones in your price range. They will answer all your questions. I even showed Nitesh diamonds and prices from other online sellers and he showed me why their own diamonds are different and better. I am not kidding when I say this -- to this very day, my wife gets at least 3-4 compliments per week from random people on her diamond ring. Thanks to the entire team, my wife loves me a little more than she did before. I bought the big center diamond, the ring setting, and also the 2 wedding bands from here. If my wife begs me to buy her another diamond (hopefully not for 10 more years), then I will be coming straight back here again.
