I visited this location On October 31st to retrieve a debit card as I just opened an account online on October 30th. I confirmed with the representatives over the phone if I could walk into a branch to get a card as I requested to do so during my application. Once I get into the branch a guy immediately walks away and says someone will be with me. Another guy sitting upfront calls me over to assist. I informed him I was simply coming into to get a debit card he asks for my ID and then proceeds to tell me he can t give me a debit card. I asked why is that and he says You just opened the account yesterday they will mail you one. I informed him I already confirmed with a representative over the phone if I could come into a branch and retrieve one and I was told I could. He continues to say I can t give you a card we don t do that. I proceeded to inform him he wasted my time asking for my ID and mind you the first guy who immediately walked away from the front is just standing there looking and witnessing me NOT be helped. I left and went to another branch and they gave me a debit card with NO problem.. Do better people

I know it s a Saturday a lot of people don t like working on Saturday, but still your at work a customer service is a big part of your job. I really believe at least two of these people in this branch need to go through that training again I walk in I say good morning the guy just stares me down. Don t say anything. The first thing at the woman s mouth is do you have an appointment? She goes to sit at the computer and leave me standing there for a few minutes then says oh you can sit down. Like what the hell that s if thats this credit union customer service I see why it s empty

Good morning, it is Friday September.The sixth I live in the pairland area been trying to deposit cash into the ATM machine for 3 days At the broadway location and Greenway plaza location.Every time I go there the machines are either broken or System is down TDE CU need more locations more ATM machines. Every week in the parallel store, something is wrong. Thinking about changing banks and my friends are doing the same thing

The account I had was prior to covid. It was inactive only the money I had initially put in the account was remaining. I hadnt closed it because I dont live near a branch anymore thinking its been inactive for years surely they will close it sue to inactivity. Why did I get bill on this account after they had already closed it? I called customer service and she doesnt know. I dont know how you can charge someone whose account is inactive and closed. There wasnt a charge on there so it has to be recent they did the charge after they closed the account and I know this because they had been sending information to me about the account via usps and there was only the money left in the account i had deposited. They took that too. I dont remember there being a penalty for an inactive account. And nothing stating where these charges are coming from sounds like fraud to me. Good thing I kept all the mail theyve sent.

Outstanding experience! As a returning member of TDECU, I can certainly say that the overall atmosphere has greatly improved at this location and I am glad to see that. From the time I walked in, I was greeted by the staff and felt like I belong as a member. A huge improvement versus the feeling I had at this location many years ago. I was seriously going to either the Sugar Land or River Oaks locations just to avoid the atmosphere during that time. Shoutout to Jeyson who assisted me with opening up a commercial account for my new courier and delivery company. Very professional, knowledgeable, non-judgmental and welcoming. The branch manger Venita was very kind and professional as well. She seems like she is dedicated to creating an overall great banking experience at that location. As a small business owner, those are the things that I like to see. To the branch manager and staff at this location, kind doing what youre doing. The customer service has improved tremendously in my opinion. I know that some people can be difficult and/or downright rude but dont let those few bad apples spoil the day and or atmosphere. Glad to be back with TDECU.

My experience in this agency was not good. The employees was clearly try to get rid of us. The first one just send my son and I to another one for no reason, the second one looks available but asked us to seat. The third one called us and told us so ridiculous thing just to see us leaving. Came to the branch on my lunch break and just a bad taste in my mouth with the experience. First I was never greeted when I walked and it was literally 4 employees as I entered the branch doing nothing. I proceeded to teller machine and sent my transaction over. No one came on the screen to say good afternoon or I will be with you in a moment. Then as I was standing there waiting on someone to help me I just looked around and snapped this picture of everyone just too busy for me or anyone else but on their phone. I did notice that if Im a regular there they would speak to you but since I wasnt I just got ignored. I guess someone saw the frustration on my face and then tried to hurry up and help but by that time I had already been standing there for 10 minutes. I did have other questions to get resolved but this was definitely not the branch to do it at. Been already frustrated with bank for the past two days and this was just the icing on the cake. Please let your staff know that regardless on what they might think its always someone watching.also thanks for making me late coming back from lunch.

It seemed like the worst thing to me, the first time I came to this bank a young woman helped me in English and although I dont speak it like my Spanish, I tried to communicate with her, she still had no intention of finishing my procedure and I received an appointment inside 3 weeks, convenient for me because a person who speaks Spanish would be there that day. I arrive at my appointment at 9 am and the same person has attended me, I explain why I came (in English of course and that if he remembered me) he has returned for the second time to treat me in a despotic and discriminatory manner. Another young man who speaks Spanish and who works there tried to help me the first time and she refused, she tried again this time and in my opinion, both times she was also rude in the way she addressed him. What a shame that people like her exist in places like this. Yes, I have felt very bad because I would say that in this country I had not found myself in a situation like this, but the least important thing is to look for another bank in which they can give me the service I deserve.

I came here multiple times with simple deposits, and the waiting time is 30 minutes to 1 hour. To all please bring your lunch or sleeping bag, you are bound to wait for a long time for a simple deposit. I spoke with the manager regarding teller closure she said it was a covid issue, and I see the lobby full with more than 15 individuals with no social distancing, and you are saying it is a covid issue. I will no longer come to here, I will direct to Sugarland or Greenway.

I have a mortgage with TDECU and I went into the Westheimer Branch. Usually someone speaks to greet, there was no acknowledgement. I made a transfer & I paid the rest by check. I was informed that I would need to contact the mortgage dept since the payment was split. I have done this before and NEVER had an issue. So I called the mortgage dept and Ellie assisted me and was very professional and helpful, she also informed me that the mbr should not have to call and that the matter could have been handle at the branch. I have worked in the financial industry for over 15 years. Most banks/ credit unions make it a priority to make sure the transaction(s) is complete & do not make the mbr contact different depts. I think there is a young lady name Kayla who works at the branch and her Customer Service is EXCEPTIONAL. Professionalism cannot be that difficult at the Westheimer location.

Do not bank with them. They are horrible. You d be better off with regions honestly. I lost my job during the pandemic and they were supplying loans well I needed a loan and applied for one and was approved. I payed the loan almost off up to 70 dollars. I started struggling they charged it off. I lost 15 points on my credit that was going to happen anyway. But I did pay it off not too long afterwards, and I switched to regions. After I payed that loan off they wrote negative remarks about 2 payments which led to my credit dropping another 29 points. DO NOT BANK WITH THEM. They barely have atm locations. No hospitality whatsoever. You are lucky if you get a Respectful representative. Negative 3 star

Pre-Covid this place was great. Now, I feel like they are always temporarily closed. All I need is the ATM access, and since there is no way to get to it when they close, it is inconvenient for me to go to the other locations. I had the BEST experience ever!! I was able to be straight forward about my situation and not once did I feel judged for needing help with getting my car refinanced. I ve been a member here for years, and have had poor customer service too many times not to leave my honest review: this is a poorly-run branch of a credit union that has had declining customer service for many years. The latest problem I ve had with them is that they lock up the ATM after their lobby hours (which are banker s hours), and this is the only ATM that can accept their deposits for miles. There are separate doors to the ATM and to the lobby, I don t see any good reason the door to the ATM can t be left open even when the lobby is locked. Last year during the pandemic I actually had to make an appointment during banker s hours just to get to the ATM. When I got there, I was told the appointment wasn t needed; if I stand outside the door and wave, somebody will eventually get up and let me in to the ATM. I tried that today when I got there at 5:15 to make a deposit, and even though there were several people inside, nobody wanted to get off of their seat and let me to the ATM or at least stand up, come out and tell me they were closed. I have had many other bad customer experiences here over the years. Things like they wouldn t notarize a simple document for me even though I had a large account with them. I went down the street to another bank and got it notarized no problem. Why couldn t TDECU help with that? I read the reviews here and they are pretty bimodal. If somebody hasn t had a bad customer service experience yet or lately, they are probably happy with the good rates. Otherwise, this is not a good place to bank.

Yesterday, I was told about the great loans that TDECU has so today during my lunch break I went in to become a member and applied for the loan. I was approved right then and there. Recently had an experience with two of the member specialists at this branch. What seemed to be impossible became possible. Between the Member Center Manager (Erica Brooks) and the Member Champion (Coraima Mellando), I was taken care of and they even helped me with fixing a problem I didn t even know I had! I recently joined and it has been a nightmare getting in touch with some to help me with my account. I opened a joint account for me and my husband and the representative I spoke, with after being on hold for 20 mins, told me she could not give me any information for his log in and transferred me to someone else. I always have a good experience visiting this office branch. As a matter of fact, I have never had a bad experience in any of the branches. Very good and reliable service. The only complaint I have is that in the Westchase branch on Westheimer, the ATM is no longer available outside, since now it is placed inside right before the main entrance, and is locked up after hours. I thought the whole point of an ATM is to have access to banking after hours if you need it. Whenever I need to make a cash deposit, I have to drive to another branch farther away. This is quite inconvenient for me, since this branch is the one closest to my residence. This is my only pet peeve. All else is more than satisfactory.

I m really shocked of some of these bad reviews smh. People need to understand that this is a Credit Union Bank and they all are small banks. Please expect a wait time unless you go early in the morning. This is a very good bank and has great interest rates for kids savings. If there was a minus star I would give that. I had the most horrible experience. I took my kids to open accounts for them and myself. We waited over an hour just to be called. Then when we were able to talk to someone.... YEAH... talking never happen. Let alone a smile or a conversation of what the bank had to offer. Horrible!!! I stuck it through to see how far this excellent service would be given... NOT!!! We just sat there while he was typing away and never saying a word. Had to ask him his name. First name given... ONLY. I knew I should have walked away. But what was that telling my kids. So I stayed I wanted to show them what kind of people are out there in the work force and how NOT to act. Just unbelievable. Finally after 45 min. in addition to the hour wait. We finally had mine and my husband accounts set up. Not my kids. So we asked is this going to take around the same amount of time to open my kids account he said sure. SURE! Took a deep breath. Then he said that we could leave a copy of our kids social cards he would do the rest and email us with the accounts. No special feelings for my kids to feel when they open their first bank account. Just plain horrible. A TDECU rep should go undercover and see how this bank operates. Maybe I went on a off day. Even on an off day. If you are going to work with the public you need better social skills then what was given. NO COSTUMER SERVICE. NONE. Just left with a feeling like you can take it or leave this bank.

Bad customer service I just had a really bad customer service today at your location Monday 04/23 at around 11.30 am by Ms. Jacklyn. We just stepped into the your office, and gave her a letter sent from your company. Just when she saw my father name on the letter, she gave my father a lecture on how rude he was when he hang up on her, when she tried to call him three times asking for a copy of his ID. My father with broken English, he cannot understand well what people talking so when the conversation on the phone become become so hard to understand he panicked and hung up. My father tried to explain with limited English words that he works night shift so in the morning is his sleep time that is why he did not pick up phone. She cut into his conversation and said just give her the ID. There were two other staffs there can be my witnesses. We felt so insulted by her. My apology for my father for hung up on her, but I dont think we deserve to be lectured by her. As a matter of fact she was so rude to us as well. Infact, missing a copy of my father ID in file was not my father fault, it was the lack of due diligence from your staff. My father did come to your office several times regarding his current account, and if your staff checked his file thoroughly they could had ask for his ID when he was there, and this issued was not happened in the first place. As of communication your staff can also have option to send us email, or letter if they could not reach us over the phone. We all have work to do, we are not free to keep running back and forth to your office.

Im extremely disappointed with this bank. I reported a fraud transaction by calling, eventhough they asked a million questions to verify my account they still made me go to a branch and make me fill out too many paperwork. Now again, today is Sunday I called because I LOST my wallet with everything in it, I reported some fraud transaction and again theyre sending me to a branch so I have to wait till tomorrow when I also have to miss some hrs from work to go to their branch and make the report. TDECU, After you guys ask a million questions to verify somebodys account thats enough to star processing fraud transactions.

Horrible experience. I waited 40 minutes to be told it was too late to open an account. Eventhough other branches told me it was a 30-45 minute process. Told to come back monday. The manager simply didnt want to do the work. Been banking with TDECU and this is the worst branch in the Houston area . AVOID THE HEADACHE AND AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Very good service. When others give you financing with very high interests, here they treat you with a lot of respect and are fair with the financing. I had my checking and credit account with Bank of America and I came to TDECU and it has been spectacular. They also refinanced my car here and I am 1000% satisfied. Many thanks to the manager Mr. Andrés Luna. I recommend it to everyone.

Absolutely awful experience. Be prepared for every single thing you try to do to be like pulling teeth. We had an account for almost 4 months and were not able to use it. Had to file for an address change 3 times and they still werent able to get it right so we still dont even know our damn account number. 0/10. Im actually going back to Bank of America. Thats how terrible they were.

Ive been a member since 1994 of TDECU. Their service is very good and the products are great. For my business account I ended up at Chase but regreted it ever since. Too complicated move it back.
