At first I thought it was a scam because they were requesting a lot of personal information. However I reached out and spoke directly to the person handling my account and she was amazing. My experience with Open Road Lending has been great, especially with the person that helped me with Lillian. The interest rate was a lot better than what I originally had in comparison to when I first bought my new vehicle. I actually will save thousands of dollars going forward in the future if Lillian did not help me get out of my original contract.

My experience with them was absolutely amazing and stress free! They were able to reduce my car payment by more than 50%! I had the pleasure of having Kimberly Wood as my agent and she was incredibly helpful throughout the process. First we get a letter saying we were approved for 12% so we send in all necessary documents. Than a notary has to come out so we can sign another paper, but she never shows and when we tried to call she sent us to voicemail. Than another one goes to my husband job where everything was signed for us to get a text she never dropped the documents in the mail so our loan expired again for the second time. Nobody had a real answered on what to do about the problem besides say I’m sorry it’s a third party it’s nothing I can do. This place is very unprofessional and lack communication.

Receive the hard inquiry on my credit report for nothing. Provided all of my information received an approval notification twice. Call them up to verify my account and complete my refinancing process and was told my loan refinancing opportunity was rejected because my vehicle is worth less than what I owe. Now Im stuck with a hard inquiry when it originally said the inquiry they pull does not affect your credit score. So people just beware of applying with these guys. You never know what theyre going to nitpick with after they approve you just to reject you afterwards and leaving with a hard inquiry.

And I didn t want to give them one star. Tried to use the to refinance took two months signed a contract with them and then they back out leaving me two months behind on my truck note. And them now telling me it needs to be current. Damn you know how high that note was that s why I m here. Now I m 1200 in the whole with two contracts. They do not care about your situation in life they just out to make a dollar. DO NOT USE THIS Company. They will leave you out to dry! Who s writing these reviews? Their employees. No one was pleasant, no one worked with you. Like I said I signed a contract and then they backed out. Screwed my credit up .If you don t believe me I ll leave a copy of the contract they made me sign, get notarised ( had to do pay for) then send it in overnight. Like I said must be employees writing reviews. Do not tell your friends and family. What sets me apart from other reviews is I signed a contract legally. I see also where the owner keeps replying with lip services still making it look like it s our fault. Don t fall for it. A loan should take anywhere between 2-3 days not 2-3 months

I am no Very happy I refinanced with this company. it is years later and they repossessed my vehicle while I was going through a hard financial time. Only after they had possession of the car they told he they would have worked with me. Terrible company. Do not refine answer auto alone. Pay it off so you own your car. Do not refi your car.

VERY unhappy with these people! First, they approved my application to refinance my car loan. Because of that, I stopped making payments on my original loan. Then, after providing EVEYTHING they asked for, they declined it! NOT happy. And it was for a ridiculous reason. I get Social Security Disability, however, the checks are made payable to husband as my Representatvie Payee. They said it isnt my income! HE didnt get Social Security! I DID! its MY money, but they said it isnt. These people SUCK! I do NOT recommend them to anyone.

This is not a service worth applying to refinance an auto loan. They complete a hard credit inquiry and tell you the loan is approved via email and to call their number. When you call, they tell you your auto loan is no longer approved.

Dont fall for the lies! They said I was pre-approved for 8% on credit karma and that it wouldnt affect my credit report. They did a hard credit check and it showed up on my credit report. Then I talked to them about what my interest rate would be and they said 17%!!!! Dont waste your time.

How they advertise they have world class customer service on helping people with ALL credit types when that s not the case. False hope should be the first line. I hate these approval notices. I ve given all my car info, my income, social, they do a HARD credit check, then they *approve* only to deny you. Also disappointed in Credit Karma enabling this process. Now I m left with the same high interest auto loan with a decrease in credit score because of the hard inquiry. And the guy I spoke to was rude and in both phone conversations he was in such a rush.

I keep receiving emails to finalize my load via emails, call or text. Due to my work schedule 12 hours plus in California and them being in Texas. I can t do phone calls, only on Mondays (off day). I tried responding via email and text and now they re telling me I need to proceed only by phone. Butttt from the looks of these reviews, I ll think I ll stay with Westlake financial. Definitely not the best. But the $40 you re saving me isn t worth it.

Beware the approval/congratulations letter you receive after they found a lender is not an actual approval. What it is, usually a stipulation. In case I am according to them upside down on my car the lender will only loan 85% of the current value to them on the vehicle. Yes, you are approved but you need x amount of money to finalize it, in my case, it was $7,000 that I would have to pay to refinance. If I had $7K I would go to my local bank and have it refinanced, not through them. It did help me realize what I need to do to have it refinanced with my local bank so thank you. I recommend that everyone reading this stick with their local bank for refinancing. Just save your money and go to your bank with half the car down and you will get it refinanced with them instead of going through a middleman who I am sure gets a cut of the rate.

Highly disappointed and will never use them in the future. Both times I went through the process and they failed to see a couple things after going through the entire process of signing stuff and being told Im approved only to be told that they cant approve me now. Seriously just pissed off right now. Have spent 6 days dealing with this. And I held off on making my payment since I was refinancing. Stop telling people they are approved and going through the process until you have fully looked everything over. You are getting peoples hopes up. Its a joke. The need to start doing their Due diligence of making sure everything is good before you have people waste their time and of course everyone gets the same response of LTV and etc. I make my payments on time except this one time all because I trusted them. Please trust reviews as I applied and was told I was approved but was denied for my vehicle despite giving the VIN . They also promised a 4 percent lower rate than I was actually approved for , causing 2 unnecessary inquiries.

I was referred through Carmax with an outstanding approval rating.i was skeptical at first as I have been pre-approved by other lenders for refinancing and then after going through all the steps declined due to I owe more than car was worth and it put a hard inquiry on my credit. I decided to give it a try as I have been wanting to refinance my higher rate and payment. I worked with Savannah Johnson and she was pleasant, informative and diligent. She kept me updated on every step with phone calls, emails and text messages. I sent all the requested documents the 2nd day after they requested them and within a week I was approved and loan finalized. The rate was lower as well as payment saving me almost $200 a month. The term was longer than I wanted but I plan on paying more to pay it off quicker. I read the reviews after going through the process and was worried but everything went great and loan funded to my prior lender within a 1 1/2 weeks. I would definitely utilize Open Road again and commend Savannaha for a job well done!

I have never publicly given a bad review, however, after dealing with open road lending, I would advise against utilizing this company. Through Credit Karma I sought out a lower rate loan that would help benefit my situation by lowering my monthly payments to around 200 less with an extended term and lower interest rate for auto refinancing. After seeking that lower rate, I was informed that I was approved; having sought the rate I wanted and I even allowed a hard inquiry to be lodged on my credit report. Once I contacted open road, I was informed that I wasn t approved for the amount I sought, and Open Road still sought out other higher options without my consent. In the end, I was going to pay 70$ less; not the 200$ I applied for. I was given a higher rate and a lower extension than originally offered, and then to add insult to injury, I was going to end up paying over 6k$ more by the end of the term, with only a 1 percent drop in my APR. Instead of helping people out of their situations, Open Road and their lenders are looking to just get extra money out of people who are trying to resolve their debts rather than assisting them. If you re rich with a great credit score, more power to you. But those of us unfortunate enough to have to squeak by cannot even get a break. Stand clear of refinancing because by the click of the submit button, you are guaranteed to not get the loan you requested; instead you re left quarreling with loan specialists whose commission is affected otherwise. If I could have given a score of below one, I would have went below zero! I add an addendum in response to open road s dire need to falsely respond to my review. First, I never received a pre approval letter or any letter from open road, period! I sought out a refinancing of my vehicle on credit karma, who open road utilizes as their platform to get the unfortunate people desperate enough to save a buck each month, but unfortunately never given a real deal. It s all smoke and mirrors; a way for the lenders to earn their keep and dwindle your wallet. No misinformation was missed, and there is no need for me to call back to check if you missed something (I m not incompetent), and there is no need for open road to even respond to this addendum. For what??? To try to save face?? Please!!! And as far as people responding when it s only to leave a bad review, think again before you post false statements. This is the ONLY bad review I ve left. Check my reviews on Google. OPEN ROAD LENDING is the only company I ve EVER given a bad review about. So before you (Open Road) post your replies to my reviews, please get your facts in order, because I will straighten the matter out via this platform. Best to not even respond back, cause the slightest false misleading comment will only backfire.

This place is a scam. They send out a pre approval notification, ask for all kinds of documents be uploaded, and then based on a credit score of 650 declined the loan. They did not need all that personal information to decline on credit score. I highly recommend that you avoid this company. I gave it one star because it would not let me submit unless I chose a star. Should be zero.

Don t apply here they will effect your credit and keep sending you letters from different lenders you never applied for even though you give them all documents and say your approval they keep sending you messages saying send documentation

It took 2 months to refinance with them , needless to say I was acquiring interest on my original loan so yeah they saved me $$ but at a cost. I definitely would not recommend them unless there the only one willing to refinance!! They even ran my credit multiple times to only give me an even higher interest rate I went from a little more then 12% to more then 14% interest rate within a 1 week period.

the advertised interest rate on their website ranging from 2-4% is FALSE. my credit score is high and debt to income is low and they gave me 10.5% interest rate. Upon inquiry why this doesnt match the interest rate shown on their website they said this is a pre-approval based on limited info. so I asked in the last 6 months have you given an interest rate lower than 4% and was told NO. Wasted 30mins filling out the application. i dont recommend this auto refinance company.

Not worth the credit ding, they promise a lower rate and come back with a higher rate than you currently have. Makes no sense. Not worth the trouble. Feels like a scam to lower credit.

Not happy with this company got approved through credit karma then they hard pull my credit ask me to call the offer percentage rate and everything went up 10% from what I was shown and was right at the same rate I currently have! Dont FALSE advertise!! Yeah well read everyone eyes reviews they say the same thing you should be charged with false advertisement!!

I had a very awful experience, This company doesn t seem to be legitimate, The associates don t seem to be properly trained if this company is real, I believe it is a fraudulent company that has set themselves up as a lender but it s just an office where they are somehow getting kickbacks from some lenders in order to keep you paying a high rate. A woman named Cheyanne destroys your credit has you running back and forth, resending documents and asking for personal information to where it seems like she is trying to steal your identity. This has been horrible and it started on April first and has not yet ended.

This company is a scam running through credit karma. They say your are approved, put a hard pull on your credit and then say you are declined. Steer clear of this company. Complete SCAM!!!!

Well, what can I say. Some of the reviews are absolutely correct, they ask you over and over again for the information that you have already submitted. That being said, its worth the extra! Take the time to speak to the people and see what they have to offer you. It took a little time, but they did what they said they would when they said they would. I would 100 % recommend OPEN ROAD. Jessica B @ open road is the GO-TO person. She will get you a great deal!

I got a letter in the mail saying I was pre approved so I applied. I then received an email and text congratulating me that I can refinance my car with them. They even called me and left a voicemail after the approval text and email to finalize it all. Just one day later, I received a denial email and text. It was very disappointing and i find it very unprofessional to give people false hope. I wouldn t be upset if I didn t receive a message saying I was approved just to get another saying that i wasn t. Very unprofessional!!

I decided to apply for refinancing through OpenRoad Lending. After I gave them all my information they did a hard credit check on my credit report. I received a reply the next day saying I was approved . I called them as they asked me to. I was told I didnt qualify because I owe more than the vehicle is worth and i would have to pay it down before they could help me . Thanks for wasting my time and putting a hard credit ding on my credit report. I wouldnt refer this company to anyone. VERY BAD BUSINESS

Only reason Im giving one star is because Im confused with all the bad comments and very few good ones.. Got the pre approved latter and as I was filling out the application my girlfriend says dont give out to much information it might be a scam... (Let me go check the reviews) And all I see is scam no thank you!

Received several notices via email and text saying I was approved after applying, with varying rates better than my current one. They asked for all of my information, contacted my current loan company and received a title copy, then turned around and said welp our loan offer is HIGHER and longer than your current one whoops bye. I really should have known its a grimy company but I tried and confirmed.

I would just like to make a clear review about the reviews. The responses that this company gives to the people leaving a review proves that they are rude. In one guys review, they clearly looked his information up, they put all this information about his loan and rates. Instead of saying Im sorry you had a bad experience its like they wanted to prove they were right. Your suppose to be helping people not harassing them. Glad I came to the reviews, also these companies are making me question credit karma and their recommendations! Id rather keep my outrageous car payment, that I pay on time every month, than refinance through credit karma. Also, for anyone of you who needs this advice, I got the best advice from my car dealership and I pay more on my loan every month. Sometimes $50-100 whatever I can afford but Ive paid so much off my loan. It pays the loan down faster. Best of luck!

Nothing but a scam. They sent me a letter saying I was pre-approved to lower my car payments. When I filled out their application, they said I was approved. After I waited on hold and gave them all my information again, they said I was denied. Total scam

This is a terrible lender. They will ask for taxes that are not due on your car as proof, yet you cant get proof until a bill is sent in the mail! I have jumped through hoops and paid for notarization of documents twice! So I wasted money, time, and hard inquiry on my credit. Shame on you and your staff!

So I normally dont trust lending place that are not true banks but I received a offer in the mail stating I can save a $139... so Im like ok imma try.When I talk to someone I would only save $45,so I was like something is better than nothing.....I went thru the WHOLE process just for them to tell me Im declined because of someone making a mistake on my mileage which she stated it was overlooked 2 times before the final process.....I am highly piss because I sent in all my personal info.
