UFCU is not a supported bank on one of the biggest rent payment software systems, Yardis RentCafe. This means I have to pay my rent by alternate and much more inconvenient (for both me and the leasing office) and/or costly means (like using a credit card and paying significant additional fees). The lack of Zelle almost compelled me to open a bank account with another bank , then UFCU fixed that - but this makes things difficult to say the least. UFCU, what can I do about this?

In the last 1.5 years ufcu insurance agent failed to notify me, and their auto loan department, when new insurance account was canceled. Oct. 4th I deposited 2500, and have subsequently had 6 overdraft fees. . Nuff said... Im shopping

Went in and was the only person in line. A caucasian guy with a swoop over who was sitting there and staring at me(refusing to help.) A Hispanic guy emerged from the back and apologized. The caucasian was pretending he didnt see me when he looked right at me. Smh Ignorant customer service. Didnt feel welcomed!

I had a loan that was charged off right before Covid and conveniently after all of the chaos of Covid they have re-opened the loan to try and collect and have also added a crazy amount of fees. They re doing all of this AND still reporting the loan is charged/written off. Just adding fees where they can in an attempt to boost their amounts on reports and such. Seeing the other reviews on poor application and customer service among other issues does not surprise me at all. In fact I see it as a sign as to why they are re-opening a very old loan. Seems they re not doing very well and have become desperate. I strongly feel they are doing this to have better reporting to the FDIC and other companies that determine funding and credibility. Any time I ve called to see what s going on, I have had very rude representatives who talk down, shame, and even bully me in awful ways in an attempt to collect. They even still use the we re here to help you and do what we can. Let s work together spiel if you get a good employee. Otherwise they are in full blown bully mode. Still in the research process and potentially having legal help look into this. Moral of the story is UFCU has gone down hill in every single way and you can clearly see the trend. Unless they do a full revamp/update of the company, it is not worth banking with them. Maybe for short term needs but otherwise, they re not the credit union to have anymore.

UFCU always was a somewhat backwards bank, with some essential features missing, for example ability to transfer funds internationally. Following a so-called upgrade in 2023 (downgrade would be more descriptive), the user experience has degenerated considerably. The most recent experience of a family member not having charges reflected on her credit card (twice in a month), and having to call UFCU to manually sync the card with her account is beyond comprehension. There are enough alternatives and UFCU does not offer any incentives or benefits that make it worth putting up with the failure to provide a reliable and quality user experience.

As a member of this credit union for 10+ years- STAY AWAY! This is the worst credit union Texas has to offer. Their app is always down, You can never get correct balance information, You cant transfer money on their app. When you have to call them to get your balance, you will be on the phone forever waiting on hold like I am now while leaving this review. They know their app is trash and continue to lie and say it will get better. A year later and they still cant figure it out and it still has all the issues as day 1. Horrible experience!!

Ive been a member of UFCU for over 10 yrs. As a millennial, I dont have much interaction with their employees but I did just experience the worst time trying to get ahold of their customer survice on the phone. I just had a simple question like if they offer currency exchange and was unsuccessful at getting anyone on the phone and dont want to have to drive all the way to their location just to get a no.

Quality has decreased significantly since the rollout of their new website. Members are no longer able to link to external accounts such as Quicken or Fidelity. Nor do they offer two-factor authentication when logging into the website. Customer Service is unable to assist with anything related to the new website or online banking. Its sad to say goodbye, but after ten years with UFCU I will be joining my wife at Frost.

We have been UFCU members for 40 years and have had absolutely positive banking experiences, UNTIL this Fall when UFCU rolled out a new Digital Banking Experience. It is awful and whoever came up with the idea should be fired. The previous customer portal worked fine for years but this new portal looks childish: customers don t need to see the icons of businesses; they need detailed financial information and features sufficient to manage their funds. Basic features that were readily available to members for years are now MISSING from the new Digital Banking Experience and thus the new website fails to perform as needed and does not generate customer confidence. Heres a list of disappointments: *Inability to display transactions in real time. *Inability to provide a description when transferring funds. *Inability to download a csv file. *Inability to create sub savings accounts. *Insufficient quantity of displayed transactions, on average less than a dozen transactions are displayed on a screen. *Insufficient information about transactions that are too vague to discern. *When transferring funds, the list of accounts is sorted in an illogical order making it very easy to transfer funds into a wrong account. *Credit card transactions are displayed as income instead of expenses. *Does not play well with third party budgeting apps. The Digital Banking Experience does not promote confidence for the end user.

Awesome credit union. There are two issue though. Online and mobile banking are being updated every 3 months. It causes passwords to have to be reset over and over, then you call to talk to a person and there are no options to talk to a person. You have to press a bunch of numbers over and over, going through 15 menus just to be placed in a queue behind 20 other callers. I ve banked with them for almost 10 years, and the seems to be something they can t figure out.

The new mobile app and website are a considerable downgrade. In addition to multiple outages since being rolled out, we have lost functionality that is standard at other financial institutions. If you use popular budgeting apps, UFCU no longer automatically syncs. To the Board of Directors and Principal Officers, this is not the direction you should be going in, the user experience was one of the key differentiators that kept me at UFCU, now I am looking elsewhere.

Done with these guys for my business. The way they spring New systems and drop things like being able to transfer money is completely unacceptable. I ve seen this twice in the last nearly 10 years as a customer and both times were not thought out. Then their systems don t work, they don t answer their phones, or email . Just completely unprofessional. I m disappointed, they used to be a good credit Union but now I couldn t recommend them

UFCU is the best bank/credit union I ve worked with. They are helpful when you go into a branch.Their fees are also lower than most, including the cost of a wire transfer, which is around half of that you pay at a bank.

Two years ago I opened an account with UFCU. During that time I also set up my atm card. I only ever used the account once to transfer money to an app I use and never used the card. I recently moved and tried to use my card only to have it decline. I called used automated service to activate my card. Declined again after that. Tried to reset pin. No dice on that. And sat on the phones automated service waiting on a rep to answer for two hours before hanging up. I did at one point go into a prompt on the service that had to do with fraud and got someone right away but that person has limited access and can t help me more then to say my card had a hold on it. For what? Never used it maybe? Doesn t matter. I looked online for a direct number and all the banks use the same automated number. This is very impersonal and frustrating to deal with. I don t think I m going to continue banking here. My card being declined is embarrassing and the hold on my card with no explanation has me a little mad. Those things combined with the fact that I can t get ahold of someone in a timely manner is not the type of experience I want from a bank where I have to depend on an automated phone service for anything of importance. I have no one s name or number to use that part of the service that calls someone directly so ..I recently moved to Waco from Austin and now seems I have to drive back to Austin just to get my money out of this bank!!!! Very disappointed

I cant imagine people giving this location of UFCU anything less than 5 stars. Staff are consistently friendly and offer an old fashioned high level of customer service. Everybody is greeted with a smile, and if you are kept waiting for more than a few minutes the staff seem almost anxious to get you seen. Hopefully the location remains for many years to come

Made an appointment for 9am, checked in via text at 8:50. Walked in at 9am and the 3 customer service reps were already helping walk ins. Quick and pleasant experience. My debit card got ruined on a hike. I simply walked in, and they had a brand new working one for me in less than 5 mins. The lady at the front helping me was kind and efficient. Appreciative this type of service is still around.

Wow. If you want superior customer care... consider opening an account here and utilizing the services they offer. I called after being referred by Texas Central Motors because we needed financing for a vehicle. I was fortunate enough to speak to loan rep Sabrina L. She told us it can take 48 hrs to be notified of the underwriters decision. But we were notified about 5 hours later of the approval.... and were able to go pick up the car the same day. If the customer service of this credit union is anything like Sabrina, herself... Im considering switching EVERYTHING from my bank to this credit union. Thanks for all your help, Sabrina! Give this lady a raise!

I have had check, savings, and money market account with UFCU since it was located in a small building on 30th Street. I just visited the Steck branch and was greeted at the door. I came in to open an account. A manager helped me sign in and after a brief wait, I sat down with a very professional young lady. There was an issue I had that needed to be resolved before I could open my account. Since I had just traveled 60 miles to get there, they offered to help with my problem at their desk. She pulled up the website, I received the proper form I needed and then was able to open up my new account. Exemplary service. I have been a customer with UFCU since the early 90 s, and they have never disappointed me. I highly recommend them.

After being accused of depositing a fraudulent check and possed with a 6 month restriction in my account , Lauren from asset protections, who refused to identify herself or her superior, has asked me to leave ufcu to a different bank and quite my job as she has qualified herself to make those decisions for me. I feel even more discriminated against just trying to prove my innocence as an honest customer of 8+ years than the original accustion. Ive never been so insulted by any buisness.

Three stars from the last review from another customer is a understatement I believe this branch and the branch managers should receive five star platinum gold across-the-board. Brianna Mariscal should receive MVP at this branch. She help save my relationship with UC by catching a minor flaw in one of my transaction, not only did she educate and informing she has given me the most information and knowledge more than any other branch location I have dealt with since I ve been with UFC of the last pass 10 years or so to complete this branch manager, and her staff has been very helpful and detrimental to my relationship in the past week more than ever. I feel this branch manager and her staff should be awarded MVP.

This is not a review for UFCU, generally, but specifically for Derion Jackson in the consumer loan department. Go back and look at a Google review from Ron Arron (3 years ago!) and it seems like Derion has been that dude. Professional and polite and so easy to work with. He answered all of my questions and never made me feel as if he had someone better to talk to or somewhere else he d rather be. UFCU, you have an incredible team member. I would take my business to wherever Derion goes.

As soon as I walked in I was greeted by two people and was assisted immediately upon letting them know what I need assistance with. Mario Orona was a radiant example of how a professional should treat a customer. I was in and out within 15 minutes and had all of my needs taken care of beyond my expectations. The people that work at UFCU (any branch Ive visited and on the phone) have always been rude and unprofessional. Ive been a member for over 5 years and the service continues to go downhill. They make everything more difficult than it needs to be. The debit cards that the print in the branches never work, if you call to get help with an issue or have a question each person has a different solution. There is no consistency so you never know which answer is the correct one. If you dont know what youre talking about, just say you dont know, dont make something up! I think I have had ONE positive interaction with the people that work for UFCU the whole time Ive been a member.
