I would not do business with this credit union. Atleast not to obtain a loan. I walked into the Arlington branch on October 21st to apply for an auto loan after going to the dealership the Saturday before and getting quoted high rates on a preowned 2023 Chevy for my son. I told the dealership, after spending hours negotiating rates, that I would go to a credit union, and try to secure my own financing at a lower rate based on my high credit rating. The dealership told me to take the vehicle information sheet to whichever credit union I chose to go to and that would have everything they need about the car. That is what I did on Oct 21st. I was given a pre-approval by Navy Federal for this car at a 6.49% rate which was lower than what I was quoted at the dealer. This got my monthly payment where I needed it so I proceeded. They issued a check to me which I took to the dealership that day and purchased the car. 2 weeks later, I get paperwork to sign from Navy Fed showing a 9.39% APR. I immediately called customer service figuring there was an error. They said because the vehicle had 40k miles on it, it didn t qualify for the rate I was quoted. I challenged that it s the same exact car that I came in and applied for the loan for. The rep stated they don t enter mileage on loan applications and the rate is subject to change based on the car. They said the quote I was given was based on a Late Model Used rate and the car I purchased is considered Used because of mileage. I asked why they would have submitted the application for a Late Model Used car loan if the car I requested a loan for is classified as Used. That was the whole point in bringing in the vehicle detail sheet. I was not aware of what constitutes used vs late model. They said because they don t know what car I will actually end up with so they just give you an open-ended pre-approval. I never would have accepted a loan at 9.39% so I feel I was deceived and baited by Navy Federal knowingly listing the car for pre-approval purposes into a classification they knew didnt fit the vehicle I was purchasing to show lower rate. Then once the dealership was paid, Navy Fed updated to the correct classification which increased my rate by 3%. However, they had the information at the time of loan application to know what class to issue a pre-approval for. I went to the branch to get help, as directed by customer service, and they said Branch Manager was unavailable but Senior Banker said they can t do anything but make a request to the lending dept but there are no guarantees. I then called customer again after leaving the branch and spoke to a supervisor. She told me I am responsible for paying at the higher rate and I should have gone with a different loan type. However, I was not presented with any other options at the time. Ultimately, I made the mistake of telling them when applying for the loan that I was new to this process and I feel I was taken advantage of. There was no accountability just blaming me for not getting a done deal loan which I knew nothing about. Gone are the days of customer service. These people will not help you so do your own research before doing business with Navy Federal.

DO NOT BANK WITH NAVY FEDERAL. Nothing has changed since the lawsuits. They are blatant with the discrimination of anyone who does not fit their ideal customer. I have had to fight to get overdraft fees back that were charged in error. Checks are held and additional 5 days after the date I was told it would be deposited with no reasoning given. Long hold times when trying to speak with customer service. There are many other credit unions that more trustworthy.

Asked to speak with bank manager at Arlington, TX Navy Fed. Told manager does not see customers!! Spoke with a representative regarding a fraudulent $10,000 loan taken out in my name on April 4. He agreed I was scammed. Forwarded the documentation to fraud department and the woman he spoke with agreed with him. They denied 1st appeal. Had to resubmit documentation 3 times to prove I was innocent because they said they never received it. I kept getting the run around. The IP address on the loan was Atlanta, Georgia and I live in Texas. They didnt care and it is now June 5 and I have no idea why they denied the 2nd appeal. They will not accept any more appeals, their decision is final. Told me to pay the loan or be sent to collections. Went to Burleson, TX Navy Fed seeking answers. Branch manager, Rhonda, wouldnt meet with me alone, brought in another rep. Said they were sorry but couldnt give me anymore information as to why I was denied. Its attorney time!

I have been with this Bank for over 10 years and I must say that I have FINALLY HAD enough!! Customer service Is the absolute WORST!! FROM THE FRONT LOBBY, DRIVE THROUGH AND THE AUTOMATED SERVICE WILL not transfer you without 7-10 minutes of constant talking!! Not to mention, the conditions of the inside bathooms, and the tellers act like they are ROBOTS!! NO SENSE OF URGENCY WHAT SO EVER!! I thought it was just me, but seeing the reviews for this location, I now see this branch renders horrible customer service. It clearly needs new management. Asked to speak to a manager regarding my expired ID and was told to check in and MAYBE I can see a leader. There was no exception made for me getting a replacement debit card due to my license, but they have NEVER asked for my ID. Only the debit card and I enter my pin. Well I had the compromised card with me. I did not have my passport with me, because again, i never have to show id if i have my card. With that being said, Ill never do business with this branch again and may move my funds to my other credit union because of the lack of understanding, compassion and customer service this branch provides. Also, Brandy, the teller, was clearly discussing my situation with the customer after me. Please hold the auto response to my review. It is not needed. Do better!

Between customer service on the phone and the reps in the branch; no one can help you. They all point fingers at each other. In the branch, to resolve a problem you re told you need to call. When you call they say you need to go to the branch. I m absolutely livid that they can take your money, your deposits without any say from you and hold them. Navy Federal Credit Union told me I would have access to funds one day then on that day told those funds wouldn t be available for another week. Supposedly security does this and NO ONE can speak to them not even them ? Smh this may go down as the worst customer service I ve ever received.

Went in this location to get a cashiers check and do a withdrawal. The young lady asked for my ID. I only have this acct so I can have a place to deposit checks and get cash while in TX. Gave her my ID. She said she needed to take my ID to the back to verify my ID. I asked why did she need to do that. I had given her my last 4 of SSN, phone number and you have my ID. Ive been to several Navy Federal banks and never had this to happen but ok. She was gone for a while. I said man shes been gone for a minute. As Im saying that she walks out and I say to her man I was just saying youve been gone for a while with my ID She then goes into you have an out of state ID. Let me say at this point I had an out of state drivers license when I started the account in TX while on active duty. But OK. So Im asking her questions about the process and she seemed annoyed with my questioning. Im telling her Im trying to understand the process.. She rolls her eyes and continues to type on the computer. Now Im pissed. I say to her listen you dont have to roll your eyes. She says shes not BUT Im looking at you. She tells me shes not going to finish my transaction. Ok cool...I dont want you to. I ask her for a manager. She totally ignore me. The other lady next to her points to the manager. I speak to the manager who assures me that she will speak to this young lady. Bottom line. I know about procedures and what you may have to do but when Im asking you questions to understand YOUR BANKS procedures why are you getting an attitude. I started to shut down the acct BUT she wont have her job long if asking questions annoys her. I wont put her name but Im sitting in the parking lot now writing this. And she is the 3rd teller from the left. Today is 9/27/2023 @ approximately 1:15pm. Did I mention after talking to the mgr I had to stand back in line to get my transaction done. The only reason I gave them a 2 star is because the young lady that helped me afterward was really sweet and was the one who pointed out the mgr for me.

This place is horrible!!! My ex forged my name on some insurance checks with both of our names on them and he cashed them at this branch location. I filed a police report and a detective is investigating this issue. I spoke with the manager and she upheld his decision to fraudulently forge my name. This place should be closed down. What about my rights? I was told I had none since I don t bank there like really??????

Absolute worst branch Ive ever dealt with. I had a cashiers check sent to this branch and I get off at 5 and raced across town to make it before 530. I got there at 531 and all they had to do was hand me my check but refused. I also called the branch at 515 while on the way but no one would answer my call and remained on hold the entire time. I would not recommend this branch to anyone.

I ve been here sitting almost 2 hours just to sign my GAP paperwork .. Susan cessna was working the greeting desk and she was extremely rude to people. I observed her asking people what makes them qualified to become a member (the potential customer left) she doesn t listen to why customers are there she just tell them to stand in the teller line. She has told me twice I m next in line but called me Ms. Collins (that s not me)!!!! There were 2 agents helping people and the guy with grey hair said he s going to lunch (although the line was out the door). This extremely tall man came in and started fussing and being loud and she moved him ahead of others (smh) I just joined this credit union last week . THE LOAN RATES ARE AMAZING . Today I had to go into the Arlington Texas Branch: it s a bit further of a drive (Ft. Worth branch is closer), but I like this branch for a few reasons. Every time I ve gone the employees go above and beyond. They want to make sure that every customer is taken care of in a timely manner. With Covid restrictions this can be a bit cumbersome, some customers will become angry with the representatives, but I have seen them time and again remedy a bad situation. I had a representative by the name of Brandy help me today. She was absolutely amazing, very outgoing and funny!! She made sure that everything I needed done was taken care of. I could tell that she absolutely loves her job and loves working for NFCU!!

Worst possible experience, I created an account. Called multiple times since I had a security hold, they need it to verified my identity. I sent all the info they requested, they say it would take 5 days to process. They told me that if I went to a Branch this could be done immediately. I took the time to drive there they took my drivers license, but they need it a second form of ID(water bill, insurance card) to verify my address. All I had was digital they said they could not take my phone(Due to COVID-19) yet she took my license, I offered to email this information so they could print it.. They said we cant do that.... what.... Lack of customer service.. please go to USAA is a great place dont waste your time like I did....

Well, overall this is a great place to bank. I will never go back to standard banks. Staff is very friendly and welcoming, however the only issue I had was one day I wanted to withdraw $5,000, and was told that they could only give me $2,500 because they were running low on cash and wanted to make sure other customers could get cash if they needed it. I should be able to get as much as I wanted if you are holding my money in your bank. I have been a customer for years, although that was a bad experience for me I still highly recommend this credit union over any commercial banks.

I am a 100% veteran owned small business owner. Im so disappointed in the services I have recieved from Navy Federal during this time. I left Wells Fargo and changed my business account over to Navy Federal a couple years ago. I applied for the PPP loan and Im realizing everybody is confused and not sure what the process is. Everytime I called I got a different answer. Its sad that I feel because I trusted my business to NF I am missing out on the loan and have had to lay off employees. After this is all over, I plan to file a formal complaint.

Ive been using navy federal ever since I got out of the army. I have had little to no issues up until this past week with service. I tried to deposit my work check in to my account through the online app and the check was accepted more than once and then declined after the company decided to deposit the $200 into my account. Through countless phone calls with customer service I was advised to show up to the branch in Arlington at 4500 Waxwing to straighten the situation out only to find out that more problems arose. The banker I was talking with said she could most likely verify my check through the administering bank and I was told that it could not be verified. I immediately went to that bank and verified the check. Meanwhile, all I was told about the bank shortcomings and lack of communication was excuses. A simple issue turned into a seeming nightmare in a few business days. Ive never had a comparable issue to date with any bank, especially one that reps veterans. Apparently that is easier done than said. Needless to say, they lost my number to Chase. Good riddance.

I had already asked the lady at the front did i need to see a person in one of the offices. Diane tells me to call Cs Or sign. I told her I was told it could be done at the window. I love NF. We have been with this bank for years and I was glad that they had built a location near me. The staff is always friendly and efficient. However, this particular branch drive up ATM is ALWAYS down. Every time I go there, the ATM never works and usually is down 8 out of 9 times. This branch really needs to fix this ATM issue because at this point its getting ridiculous. Other than that, I recommend this credit union.

Hands down one of the best credit unions ever! Loan rates at or below other credit unions, no charges for most checking services, and great customer care. Ive been banking with NFCU for over 25 years, Ive tried other banks, but I always come back, because other banks charge fees, higher interest rates, and often forget that you are the customer.

Friendly staff but the lines are always long. They should consider expanding the facility or find a better employee team. Staff is nice but when the lines are long you can see that they still work the same pace, it seems like they re not trying to rush. My is 1st Convenience Bank, and my wife s is NFCU. There are actually a lot of things NFCU offers that my bank does not. Their mobile app is so much better, their queues are bearable, and their customer service is topnotch. All in all, this is the bank to be. If you have a family member who is a navy, marine, etc.

Visited this location this morning. It was very crowed with a 15 minute or longer wait. However, the customer service was outstanding. They do not have enough staff to take care of customers. I had to wait 35 minutes to see someone. It would have been easier to fax documents to the 800 number than to wait. Staff is friendly.

terrible bank. looking for new bank. lures you in with teaser rates and will not deliver. always finding excuses to charge fees and holds paycheck money for 2 business days for clears Checked with company bank and they release finds within hours of my e-deposit. NFCU uses that excuse to scam people for 2 days for interest free usage of the $. SCAM alert!!!!! this bank is none ones interests at heart!! only their own... Months later still no change in anything. I am a former marine. Single father of 2 and this place tried to rip me off on an auto loan. They always seem to find ways to manipulate the accounts so there is at least 1-2 charge backs a month even though there is money there. This place is full of theft and scams. Switching to PenFed. Much better bank!!!

Ive been a member 20+ years and Im so thankful they finally put this location in. Driving from Duncanville to West Fort Worth made for a long trip to do our banking business. Every rep that weve done business with have been very helpful and pleasant. We were again there today and we again had top notch service!!
