A lot of good and small town feel, but electronically cbfcu is just behind.
Several apps/ websites will simply say that your credit union doesn't support this service.
While it is nice that they are so vigilant about cyber security I personally dislike that I have to get security code ls texted to me every other time I login on my phone.
Very friendly and helpful people, just wish I didn't need help as much.

I have been a member of Chocolate Bayou Credit Union for approximately 35yrs. We have been very pleased with the customer service with all the employees and of course saving money be it with low interest loans or interest on our savings.
But the best thing and our favorite thing about the credit union is Patti, that happy and sweet smile that meets me every time I walk into the bank. Southern charm and friendliness. Don't ever let her go!

Most recently things have been awesome ! I have been treated with respect and shown courtesy by an employee that took the time to take her time ! She made sure to maintain my privacy by closing the door when I was on speaker phone and that gesture alone made me want to stand up and salute this woman ! That privacy issue had been trampled upon at a different date and I was not amused ! The first person you see or speak to usually is Patti and since she has been employed there it is like a breath of fresh air upon entering the facility !! She is awesome ! She is professional, pleasant, eager to help, and she is genuine ! You can rest assured that if she asks you how you are doing and or how one of your family members are doing you can know that she asked because SHE TRULY CARES ! She listens and pays attention ! She is truly a dedicated employee !!! She is a “home” girl and everyone knows her and her family and knows also how dedicated she is to family, as well as to her friends and her “work” family. She always has a smile and takes the time to make sure your reason for the visit is taken care of in a timely manner and keeps you abreast of your wait time . Patti exudes the type of receptionist skills and attitude that any employer would or at least should walk through the desert in order to give her a position in their workforce !

Mobile app never works. Online problems as well, always locking my account. Way behind the times as far as technology goes. Will likely be closing my accounts and my childrens soon. Edit to add: I have called customer service no less than 10 times to unlock mine and my daughters accounts. Im not even sure why theyre locking when were using the correct logins. Your reps unlock the account, we still cant log in and they say I guess its down, theres nothing else we can do.

They feed me out of my account that I had since high school, so it was $1. 03 over drafted, due to the fees. Then failed to properly contact me by all available methods open to them to forwarn me about it. I did call to speak with someone about it. A person who didnt seem to understand English very well. Spoke with me. In speaking with her she told me why my account was closed and didnt have a answer or reason as to why no one at least sent me an email, like they have done before. I am out of town working. She just said sorry that I would have to open a new account. So now I would have to open a new account. However they can still continue to send me emails soliciting for my money and credit information.

I have been banking at this Credit Union for thirty four years and have always been satisfied with the customer service, loan rates and online banking, however they changed the online banking feature and took away many of the conveniences that were offered before making it much more difficult to do transactions between my business and personal account. The response from their technical officer is that it must be my computer. To change the system and then blame the customer for internal system problems is less than professional and blame shifting for a poor transition to a new system. I will be banking elsewhere in the future!

Ms. Patti has been an icon at the Alvin branch for many years, and definitely an asset. She has a genuine smile, and always available to assist in customer service. The clerks at the counter are great, but Ms. Patti is the reason I would rather do walk in, instead of your convenient drive through service.

If I could give this credit union zero stars or negative stars I would. They have stooped to the lowest of the low. They read an obituary in the newspaper and then proceeded to repossess a vehicle that was CURRENT in payments, all within a few days after the funeral none-the- less. They did all this without any notification, nothing in writing and/or no phone calls to the estate. Totally unacceptable. Based on the review prior to this one, this seems to be their method of operation; i.e., taking advantage of people in mourning. If thats the kind of financial institution you want to do business with, go right head. My suggestion is to RUN. There are too many other financial institutions that dont treat long time customers and their families that are also customers like dirt.

This is an ok place to use for small banking. This is NOT the place to use for Business Banking. This is NOT the place to use for loans. This is NOT the place to use for reliable services. If you venture OUTSIDE of Alvin Texas, you will find that there is a banking world full of MUCH BETTER opportunities. This a very frustrating bank to use. The best part about this bank was Patti, the greeter. This bank scams its members and runs shady loan practices. I have banked with them for over 15 years and I constantly regret it. I have held a cc with them and for longevity purposes, chose to keep it open. I have decided to cut my losses and lose the headache. If your goal in life is to slowly fade away in Alvin Texas, then, this is the bank for you. If you plan on going places in life with your business, I would suggest looking elsewhere. They treat you as if they are constantly doing you a favor by existing. when really, theyre more of headache than they are worth their weight in gold. They make transaction incredibly difficult. This is an ugly place to do business and they will treat you just like a number. Not a member. The business development of this bank is similar to the business development of Alvin Texas. Your money interest rate will grow at the same rate of growth as the city of Alvin. One gas station and one chilis every 20 years...

I have had the privilege of being a member since I was in grade school, and have remained a member because of CBCFCUs commitment to customer service. I have yet to encounter an issue they havent been willing to help resolve. They are responsive to their members needs. You simply cannot get CBCFCUs level of service from any of the large, multi-national banks.

Super...service and very understanding staff. Helped me get the best out of my refinance, so I could do much needed repairs to my house. The original mortgage company wouldn t refinance without me do repairs first. They wanted me to do a second mortgage....but told me I would have to wait 12 months before I could get it refinanced to a lower rate. Therefore my mortgage and second would be $2400. CBCU did the refi and I am able to do my repairs.

There is a sweet beautiful lady at the front entrance of the Alvin Branch who address everyone coming and exiting the bank by name. This makes me feel important and the bank like our business. I have been a member for years and always feel welcome and receive great service. I am always greeted by Pattis smiling face and asked how I am doing. Even though Alvin is growing you still get a small home town feeling when you visit.

Staff was professional, helpful, and extremely efficient when I went to open a savings account and apply for a credit card. Especially Patti, she had the best attitude and maintained a high level of professionalism when she was giving me direction and information. She is probably the sweetest lady I have ever met, give that woman a raise!

Are family have been a member since the Credit Union opened and have been very pleased with the Credit Union. Patti greets everyone by their name and very friendly. And can help you are send you to the right person. Patti is always Pleasant and Helpful. And the same for Gaylene. Great place.

Most recently things have been awesome ! I have been treated with respect and shown courtesy by an employee that took the time to take her time ! She made sure to maintain my privacy by closing the door when I was on speaker phone and that gesture alone made me want to stand up and salute this woman ! That privacy issue had been trampled upon at a different date and I was not amused ! The first person you see or speak to usually is Patti and since she has been employed there it is like a breath of fresh air upon entering the facility !! She is awesome ! She is professional, pleasant, eager to help, and she is genuine ! You can rest assured that if she asks you how you are doing and or how one of your family members are doing you can know that she asked because SHE TRULY CARES ! She listens and pays attention ! She is truly a dedicated employee !!! She is a home girl and everyone knows her and her family and knows also how dedicated she is to family, as well as to her friends and her work family. She always has a smile and takes the time to make sure your reason for the visit is taken care of in a timely manner and keeps you abreast of your wait time . Patti exudes the type of receptionist skills and attitude that any employer would or at least should walk through the desert in order to give her a position in their workforce !

CBCFCU has a marvelous Internet interface, home-banking website and bill pay system. When you have a question or need help with your account the people on the other end of the phone are extremely friendly and helpful with little or no waiting. Thanks All!

Patti is always so sweet to everyone. Anytime I need anything she s always available to help me out. I ve had my account there for 13 years and even though we moved 5 years ago, I still use them as my main Financial Institution.

I absolutely love this place. The staff is amazing. Ive had several bad experiences with banks throughout my life. But once I switched to this credit union, not one bad experience. My account has been hacked before and had 0 issues resolving it as opposed the the same thing happening at the banks I use to bank at. I have never been treated bad here. Truly an amazing place. Would recommend them to anyone and everyone!!

No matter who you ask a question of business to in this establishment,if they them selves do not have an answer they will ask another to get my correct answer.Not many businesses have employees that will do that for you in this day and time I dont know have a good day is usual answers.
