The company is effective in soliciting payment plans out of people who have an outstanding account with other businesses. One employee, Wilhemina, demonstrated excellent facilitation and communication abilities in understanding my financial situation and working with me. However, I have found on multiple occasions from multiple other employees that they do not seem to wish to fully understand the situation before carelessly projecting their own strategies to establish a payment plan. Often times this leads me feeling quite frustrated because it is as though they are not truly listening and miss a bunch of detail about what I need to make a payment plan. If you are feeling frustrated, I recommend e-mailing them your situation to work with them versus explaining it over the phone. The company is effective at meeting the bottom line but ought to practice active listening to reach higher than the bottom line.

Now obviously debt collectors are not everyone s favorite group of people but at the end of the day they are still people just like you and me. I ve gone through a tough time recently and especially with my finances and Bryson has been a big help to me. He s helped me with payments and been extremely helpful/supportive of my situation. In fact I refuse to work with anyone else here who isn t Bryson because they are cold and callous. I had a frustrating experience with Williams & Fudge that I feel compelled to share. From the outset, their representatives were incredibly rude and unprofessional. Instead of approaching the situation with empathy, they resorted to aggressive tactics that only served to intimidate. I found their communication to be harassing, often receiving repeated calls that felt like they were trying to scare me into paying a small amount that I had already payed them. They exaggerate the situation, making it sound far worse than it is, which adds unnecessary stress to an already difficult time. It s disheartening to see a company operate in such a predatory manner, prioritizing intimidation over understanding. I would strongly advise others to be cautious when dealing with this agency. There are certainly better options out there that treat their clients with respect and compassion.

They harassed me for six months about a debt that was fraudulent due to identity theft. For 6 months I asked them to engage with the school, because the school and student loan office had already agreed with me and ruled the accounts fraudulent. For 6 months they refused to do any leg work with the school at all. When I finally got someone on the phone that was willing to send a simple letter to the school, my account was cleared in a week. They could have done that 6 months earlier and saved me about 20 frustrating phone calls where they were continuously asking me to do their job for them, or just pay this fraudulent debt. Those phone calls only happened due to W&Fs belligerence and laziness. It was outright harassment.

This company called me scared me to death about the well being of my child would not even provide me with the name of the company. She asked for information about my child as if she didnt already have it. Practices are disgusting. Update they want me to call to address my concerns so Im going to provide more information here this review is not deleted. I called to ask if this company could not contact my family members because they called my younger sister in an attempt to collect my debt. I told them many times this call is just to ask to cease contact with my family, however I do not have the means to resolve my debt at the moment and I will be contacting them in the future to resolve it. The lady I spoke to, Karen Sylvester, was extremely rude and would not stop asking me to resolve the debt and come up with a payment plan. She asked me You didn t ask people to help you? As if that is an option for some people. Was contacted by Bryce Sherrill who called my job when he couldnt get ahold of me. When I explained Im sorry I would have to call him back he said, no. you need to take responsibility for your debt. I hung up and called him back on my personal phone explaining that it was not acceptable to call my jobs phone again. I then explained to him my situation and that I would need a letter of proof of debt. I gave him my contact info but refused to give him a reference or someone else to contact if he cant get ahold of me. He became irritated again and told me I had to give him someones information. I told him it was silly, laughed, and refused. He became very upset went on a rant (about me) and told me that now he would no longer help me and that I would need to pay the balance or set up a plan. He also told me that he would not be sending me any proof that I even owe the money AND that it was up to me to prove I didnt. He seemed very defensive and unable to control his emotions. I feel sorry for the other more vulnerable people on his list that he will inevitably try to bully and intimidate.

At the time of writing this review, Williams and fudge is a debt collector with 3.5 star reviews. This may not sound like a lot. But if you look at debt collectors on Google, they always have much lover reviews. This is the nature of debt collecting, people dont usually like working with them. But the person assigned to my case, Tammi Jones has been absolutely amazing and understanding towards my circumstances in life and has found very easy to make payments that work for me. If I could give them zero stars, I would. They are aggressive and intimating. The mob has nothing on them. Something I have found in combating aggressive debt collectors is that, in addition to seeking legal assistance, you can file a complaint with consumer protection agencies such as the Florida Attorney Generals Office or the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). Working along with William & Fudge, Inc to get my issue resolved was very smooth sailing. Their staff was very polite, understanding, respectful, and professional. The most unnecessarily aggressive and rude person I have ever had the displeasure of speaking with works for this agency. He was so aggressive and rude that I even had to call the university to see if they actually do business with this company. When I said I was uncomfortable with him and wanted to pay directly online, he wrote back, The reason as to why youre in collections is because you were unable to hand your responsibility to pay back our client in a timely manner. They had to hire a collection agency to get the unpaid tuition paid back. The expectation held by our client is to pay the balance completely back in full. If people are unable to pay back their balance in full then a payment arrangement set up through the phone is the new expectation. Im sorry that you feel uncomfortable with the facts. If you truly want to make payment online, then I guess well see if you can keep your word. There was no reason for this attitude or treatment. This is how they act when you actually try to arrange to make payments. Imagine how they act if you cannot. I would give zero stars if I could.

I wish I could give this company 0 stars. They called me at my place of employment this week which was a HUGE breach of privacy after my coworkers were able to see a debt collector was calling for me. When I called back and explained I would like to make a payment and get set up on a payment plan the employee I was speaking to, Ray Wiley, would not accept what I was able to do. Instead he kept trying to pressure me to take out a loan, ask friends/family for money or put the debt on a credit card. After telling him that none of these were options and I would like to at least start making payments he continued to pressure me into a very large lump sum and payments I cannot afford. I have nothing good to say. I received a call from a family member stating this company was trying to reach me and couldn t disclose information to them. They contacted my family!!! Totally uncalled for. My family member called me to let me know this information, so I reached out to Williams & Fudge. They stated that they were trying to collect student debt from a former college I briefly attended. I told them I m not able to do anything at this time. He kept hounding me and at one point, he said I was making excuses as to why I couldn t pay!! Like seriously?! I m a single mother trying to make it by, and I also told my previous school about a death in the family (I dropped my classes and was told I wouldn t have to pay) and they still pursued it!! The man on the phone was monotoned but rude in my opinion. Questioning my life and doubting what I told him was beyond unacceptable. I blocked their number and told him to never reach out to my family ever again. That s going too far.

Well I THOUGHT Dan Jaquish took care of me all up until I had made my last payment on the 1st of the month (it is supposed to be the middle of the month.) and I never even received a paid in full letter until I had to call up there a month later and I got to the rude customer service agent who was talking negatively about me and he thought he transferred the call..phone scammers have better customer service

I was distraught about my situation regarding debt! I didn t think I was going to be able to continue on with my orders and assignment. Inorwood really pulled through and assisted me! Tonya Gordon was awesome. However, I initially was going to pay using my bank account. She said if I pay using a credit card, the hold on my account would be released the next day. I followed her recommendation, accepting that there would be a credit card processing fee. The hold was not released. Another representative said releases are sent the first day of the next month after payment is made. I am very disappointed.

I have never had a collection agency call MY JOB not once, not twice, but three times in one week. Asking for my information over the phone and being very vague about it. I got in trouble because they called so many times. I work for a small business and word travels very fast they called asking for me and then hung up when my coworker explained I was not in the office. First time and second time was a lower colleague the third time was the frickin owner of the business. Then when they finally found my number however they did tried pressuring me into telling them what third party I was using to get the debt paid off. I explained it would be paid and he was very rude when I wouldn t tell him who I was using to get it paid.

If I could give 0 stars I absolutely would. Whoever Jessica Cunningham contacted me about an outstanding balance I had at a previous college and kept speaking over me, talking down to me and said because I am not working, I am lazy! I just had a baby which is why I am not working at the moment, so who said I was not going back to work? She was absolutely out of line, I used to work in a call center setting and that is unacceptable. I was not rude not once and she kept implying that I am an unfit mother because I am not working to take care of my children. Their father and I both work hard and the economy is not as it was before and also people are insane and we do not trust anyone with our children! You do not ever assume anyones situation because it could be you in their shoes or worse.

Wish I could give 0 stars. I worked with Daniel Ohlman who kept talking down at me and treating me like I was stupid after explaining that the debt amount was incorrect. He was trying to help by not doing his job. Anytime I would tell him I was working with my school to get the amount resolved, he would tell me that all communication would have to go through him and the school. He did not know the names of the people he was supposedly in contact with and tried to bully me into admitting to pay an incorrect amount and when I did not give a response he told me my silence would be taken as a yes. Turns out the school had actually made a mistake and they had to withdraw my account from collections (which if he did his job he would have been aware of). I settled out of collections. Horrible experience! -10/10 would not recommend.

MARK MOTZ is very rude, inconsiderate & unprofessional by the way he spoke to me at 8:30am in the morning. Honesty i dont hear from this company he lied an said they been calling me and mailing me I havent received anything mail or calls from them. In the past I ve had pleasant communication when contacted but Tyler Wilhelm on more than one occasion has been rude, demeaning, and aggressive. If I cannot do something about a situation I m that moment I state that because there is no reason to sit and drag and make false promises on the phone. But Tyler immediately gets aggressive and makes demeaning statements to try and guilt you. He called me today and his overall tone switched quickly when I made it clear I could not handle my situation in the moment and explained why. He immediately started trying to get invasive and question my life and how I even live basically because I would not make a Matter that he chose to take over my number one priority. I can tell he tries to belittle people that don t know any better because when I addressed his antics he Became irate and dismissive and kept demanding to speak to my husband who has no connection to this account. If he contacts me again in the manner he did today I will file a proper complaint and take measures elsewhere.

Horrible experience. I made a payment arrangement of $100 the first month and told them I will let know if I can make the next payment. Nope they have ran my card twice with out my consent. Now I recieved a call from MARK MOTZ stating I am Irresponsible for not paying. That how am I paying my bills or who is paying my bills so that they can harass them instead. I let them know of my financial strain since the calls first started, I left school due to medial purposes which my school was aware of but he said that doesn t matter I have to pay My balance. MARK MOTZ is very inconsiderate & unprofessional by the way he spoke to me at 8 in the morning. Mrs Erschen was very kind, friendly helpful and informative. I called about some old debt that I had for years at W&F. I thought W&F were shady based on other reviews and I didnt trust them because of those reviews. Mrs Erschen talked with me and helped build that trust. She didnt rush me at all, and assured me that the buisiness is reputable. She even helped me by going over all of my payment options and reminded me that the people I owed debt to agreed to settle. If you have debt with Williams & Fudge, in my experience they are good, call and ask for Mrs Erschen, she is very helpful and trustworthy.

Literally got in an almost deadly accident where I ran to a tree at about 50 mph. And when I told them that I was unable to set up a payment arrangement until I got back on my feet within 30 days. I was just met with complete rudeness. And complete disrespect. Honestly the first time Ive been contacted by them they were really nice and they were very helpful. Most rude people I ve ever spoken with. This lady told me my student loans balance and LAUGHED at me. I asked her why she thought that was funny ? These people are rude, miserable. They call daily. everyday I tell them I don t have the money because my parent died last year and I m young and can t pay it back right now. Daniel Hollingsworth and his colleagues with Williams & Fudge have been very aggressive and unprofessional. I had simply asked for verification that I had agreed to any interest or fees in my original contract and was spoken to very rudely and told that I was just stalling. And this hostile behavior was *after* I had agreed to pay the principal. Businesses should be wary of contracting with Williams & Fudge if they don t want to be associated with such unprofessionalism. The behavior of their employees is frankly embarrassing. Edit for transparency: I called the 1 (800) number after I got ahold of my original contract and verified the collection fees and interest. I spoke with Allison, who was very polite and professional, and was able to set up a payment plan that works for me and was also assured that I would not be contacted by Mr. Hollingsworth again.

Theyre debt collectors. That being said its still absorbed to have them charge over 400 in just collectors fees. For the debt owner to pay that instead of the institutionis a little weird. That being said they told me theyd contact me for further information due to complications with the debt on the schools end. They never reached back out. Nor sent me an email confirming my payment.
