I've been banking with the credit union for over a decade and they have always be understanding and accommodating when I had a need. I went to them recently for a car loan and I worked with an awesome lady named Juliana Borja. She walked me through the entire process, literally helped me every step of the way. Best customer service experience I've had in a while. She answered when I called, responded to text when I needed answers, and gave me solid advise along the way. She also saved me 2k from the dealership! Thank you Juliana!

Thank you Ms Pearl for your fantastic customer service! Me and my husband wanted to switch banks because we use a cash budget and our current bank never has cash available in the ATM. GFCU seemed like a great option based on reviews, so we went in to open an account. We arrived late in the afternoon to open the account because my husband works night shift and Ms Pearl was kind enough to help us open a checking and savings account quickly and she explained all the options thoroughly. Ms Pearl was kind, attentive, and a pleasure to work with. GFCU is lucky to have such a fantastic person on their team! We are looking forward to working with this bank for all of our future financial needs.

I have had my account for 11-12 years. The banking app is never accurate it takes days for purchases to post. Its really had to get a loan here. If it wasnt a way for my family to transfer money easily then I would have closed it years ago.

I joined GFCU today, I always thaught banking was difficult and frustrating I ve had a few banks and stayed with one for 7 years and it was never ideal. Today I was assisted but Josh Odom and it was the first time I ve actually banked with no complaints, Josh did a great job. Very informative and patient. I can tell he really cares about his costumer s experience. It was professional but still felt as if I was banking with someone I ve known for a while, I m looking forward to what is to come. I am currently going through some financial difficulties, and I went in to try to talk to someone about some options I might have to avoid even more financial stress. Pearl and Chris (Branch Manager) were more than understandable and exhausted all resources to help me out during this unfortunate situation. I highly recommend this credit union, not only do they have the lowest rates and a variety of options, they are more than accommodating.

We set up a savings account years ago to save money for our daughters Grad School. She is able to access the money whenever she needs to pay rent, etc. even though she is in a different state 5 hours away. After experiencing the service we had with that particular account we set up a savings and checking account and also have taken out a personal loan (which was approved, money available in less than 24 hours). No wonder they are BEST OF THE UPSTATE!

I recently had the joy of meeting Pearl at GFCU, Greer. Pearl provided by far the best customer service I have ever had at a bank or credit union. She was kind, listened to our needs, and got us set up in a timely fashion. My son, who just turned 18 was able to set up his first account. It was an awesome experience thanks to Pearl! As a result, I will be setting up accounts for my whole family. The customer service here is top notch, and the products (accounts) are better than anywhere else. We are going to be lifetime members! I work everyday until 5pm, so my plan was to go straight from work at 5 on a Friday, because they are open til 6pm. I was greeted by Denise, who was kind, professional and got my info. After just a few minutes of waiting, Pearl Daniel came out and asked me to come back to her office. She is an amazing woman! Not only so helpful, knowledgeable and kind, but listened to my situation and really wanted to help me. I felt bad because we ended up staying to near 7pm (my fault) but she kept assuring me it was no big deal and shed rather make me happy versus her getting home on time. We really wanted to join but they apparently do a hard credit inquiry to open an account. Ive been with countless banks and 3 credit unions over the years and this has never been a requirement. There are clearly other, better ways to verify identity that arent harmful to your customers. Until this requirement changes, we wont be joining.

I have been a member of GFCU almost since its beginning in 1977 or 1978 when its one branch was located in the building on Sullivan St. in Greenville in a building that housed the Greenville County School Districts book center. Of course, GFCU has grown and changed tremendously. Through these decades, GFCU has provided me with many services such as checking and savings accounts and loans for vehicles and home improvement. There have been many payment books, checks, and deposit slips, and I have tried diligently to become adept at online banking as these times require. However, I recently needed and graciously received some old time person-to person help from Kelly, a GFCU associate. I experienced a very confusing and stressful event when my CU VISA credit card was fraudulently used. The card was still in my possession, but fraudulent charges began appearing on my VISA statement from different locations. BEFORE I noticed the charges, I was called by the VISA monitoring division and questioned about the charges. With a kind associates help, I was able to identify the fraudulent charges and my VISA card was cancelled. I was told that I would receive a replacement card in 5-10 days through the USPS. After 13 days had passed and the card had not arrived, I called VISA customer service and was told that the card was in production but had not been released. I could see on GFCU online that I had been issued a new card/number, but I did not have the card. Fearing that the replacement card had been stolen from my mailbox, I called GFCU and spoke to Kelly who led me through several scenarios of what may have happened to the replacement card and also checked my account with me to review the charges, both legitimate and fraudulent, that remained on my account. Kelly spent a lot of time trying to trace the location of the replacement card. Kelly also spoke with VISA customer service on my behalf. Essentially, Kelly was able to arrange for cancellation of the missing replacement card and the expediting of a replacement card. I received the replacement card by FedEx overnight shipping that required my signature on delivery-at no additional cost to me! To say that Kelly went the extra mile in service is a vast understatement. She remained patient and kind throughout this lengthy inquiry. Everything is back-to-normal in my little world-for now...many thanks to Kelly!

She Helped me relax after Trying to fix the request for 4 days .. it was very awesome.. because my husband is ocd and if I don t let him know his account information he gets .. more ocd .. but he won t do the app .. lol .. so she made a very stressful year so far into an awesome one .. very very awesome.. if I owned my own business she would be my right hand women .. so thank you so much for taking a few minutes to make something so simple .. that was difficult for others so smooth.. hope your day is awesome..and thank you so much for not treating me like everyone else does because I think different and speak different.. We switched to GFCU from BofA a few months ago. We had already been happy with the switch when we met Robert Wright who helped us get a car loan the same day and use the same credit application to get a credit card. He was better than we could ve asked for. He was friendly, fast, and provided excellent customer service. On top of that, the interest rate was far lower than the dealership and another credit loan. Despite it being a Friday mid day, he never treated us like an inconvenience. I truly can t say enough good things about him. Robert Wright is fantastic!
