When my mortgage was first transferred to Round Point Mortgage I was very hesitant and scared Because I had such a good relationship with my previous company. After two years with RoundPoint, I couldn’t be happier. The level of customer service is by far outstanding. Their website And App give you a lot of options to not only view your mortgage, but be able to request for statements, documents, top notch, and easy to use. The best part about this company is that they care about their customers They provided Me with several options to save my home. I am extremely grateful and would never want to change my servicing company again thank you RoundPoint mortgage for all that you have done for me and my family.

I was called about not paying my first mortgage payment on a mortgage acquisition from Rushing Services. The lady that called me on 10/24/24, could not pronounce my name, (unprepared) and could not answer why the 2 checks I sent electronically via my bank were returned to me. I was trying to explain I would email her a copy of my bank statement showing where I made the payment that were returned, when she hung up on me. She has not called back. I reviewed the automatic back payments I set up. My prior service Company, Rushing, provided me the address to mail the monthly check to, however did not tell me my loan number would change so I entered the same loan number on the automatic payment. Since then I have received a statement from roundpoint with a different loan number. I am now sending payments again with the new loan number. This company so far has been unprofessional and unprepared to handle the situation. They could have reviewed my account to see what my old loan number was instead of just automatically refusing the payments they sent back to my bank.

They have my insurance settlement and will not release it. Every time we call they have a new hoop to jump through. There is always an excuse why they can’t release our money. The work is done, we had to use our savings to fix our home. I had to sue my insurance company and now the mortgage company refuses to give me my money. It’s been 4 months. The customer service reps are so rude. They do what ever they can to divert, refuse to get managers on the phone. They don’t help because they can’t. This is all huge scam to hold MY money so they can invest it and earn off it. All these 5 star reviews are fake. You can pay a service to write good reviews. A few months ago they had 1 star, and lots of them.

I called RoundPoint to confirm and they said i would notice no difference as it would be a seamless transfer and I would need to do nothing, well that was wrong. When my first payment did not come out I called to find out why, i was told I needed to set up auto pay and they would email me the paperwork and I should have it in 48 hours. A week later I still did not have it so I called and inquired and they told me they are running behind and it would take a few weeks. I escalated and had a supervisor send it to me and then I sent it back. In the meantime I made my monthly payment online. 4 weeks later they finally sent me the form for a biweekly payment arrangement that they had already set up.
Now I also just bought a new build house so my first tax bill was extremely small and I requested that they leave my escrow account with all funds in it because my next tax bill would be 800% higher than the last one ($17 compared to $1200). They mailed me an escrow overage check so I called and asked why when I let them know I would have a massive shortage now. They said to send the funds back and they would keep it in the account until my taxes went through this year. Well guess what, they mailed me a check AGAIN and said I can only have 2 months of escrow in the account at any given time, WHAT that makes no sense because you will not have enough to pay my tax bill. They told me to put the money in a savings account and hold it to make the shortage payment when needed. Doesn’t that literally defy the point of an escrow account?

Update to respond to company: I have spoken with a minimum of 4 people and requested a supervisor to call me (no one has called or left a message) or to speak with a supervisor multiple times and have been denied. After my most recent call (i asked for a supervisor multiple times and was denied/ignored) I was told it should be taken care of and I should receive a call in 10 business days and if no one calls me to just call you AGAIN and follow up on it. While I appreciate your offer of assistance, based on all prior interactions with your company, I have little faith it will help because so far no one cares to help or listen and apparently the thought of a $20 yearly taxes makes sense even though my closing docs show different, but your company is choosing to ignore those as well

It came time to payoff my loan. It took 3 calls to customer service to get the quote. The first call took close to an hour. On the second call CS discovered the email was wrong. They updated the information and assured me that I would have the quote within 24 hours. The next day again no quote. Finally called and talked to Patrice who resolved the issue. I received the quote within an hour. It should not take 3 lengthy calls to simply pay off the loan.

They refuse to adjust my annual property taxes to the correct amount even after I sent them a copy of what they should be according to Greenville county assessment office. My payment went up 900.00 dollars because they assessed my property taxes as an investment property.

I receive an insurance check that for some inexplicable reason has Roundpoint as a co-payee. My mortgage was sold to them about two years ago and everything is a problem, the customer service is terrible, they never want to pass it on to someone in Spanish, bad attitude from the representatives, they always raise your escrow even if you have money enough not to raise it, I dont know what type of analysis they do, when they return the same amount from escrow in a check that they raised your mortgage, which makes no sense, they only do it to continue raising your mortgage until you drown and fall, it is a company disaster.

Making us jump through hoops to get insurance money to fix flooded homes is a bit ridiculous! We received emergency funding form our flood insurance company to find out that Round Point will take 14 days to release funds and will only give us $40,000 when we have already spent more than that out of our own pockets. Its already been over 3 weeks since the flood! At this rate we wont be back in OUR HOME until 2025! We will be refinancing and leaving Round Point when this is over!!

This is absolutely the worst Mortgage Company weve ever dealt with in our entire lives. Our mortgage was transferred to them after closing at some point and they do not do their job on time ever. They are currently sitting on an Insurance check which needs their endorsement for several days while our roof was damaged during the hurricane and is needing repairs that the insurance company has already approved. They provide an email address for tracking insurance related items and submissions that nobody ever responds to! They also do not allow you to bring in checks in person for endorsement so youre out of luck there and can do nothing but wait for weeks until somebody from this company decides to do their job. We do not have an Escrow with them either. After the loan was transferred to them; the very first year they did not pay County taxes even after taking them from Escrow well ahead of time until we called and emailed them a dozen times and eventually somebody decided to address that on the very last day they were going to start becoming delinquent and accrue penalty after we were literally on call with them for hours!! Since then we manage our own Escrows and have never been late on our payments yet they provide an abysmal customer service on pretty much every single thing they need to work on as a Loan Servicing Company. Dont just walk away but absolutely run as far away as you can if you are thinking about taking your business to them. If I could give them negative starts; I absolutely would!

I have a contractor lined up, but waiting on round point, with no possible timeline provided. Told I just have to keep calling back for updates. Each year we have to send them our proof of insurance multiple times with them attempting to force us to buy insurance through their provider. The interesting part is our policy hasn t changed carriers in years and our agent sends it to them each year. Stay away

My mortgage through an independent broker was sold to Roundpoint before the first premium was due. While, every individual that I speak with on the phone could not be more polite, I have been so inundated with repeated mistakes that the corporation has made that as soon as I find a competitive rate to this mortgage, I will actually pay the closing costs to a title company simply to take my mortgage to another company and resolve the mistakes that are still looming with Roundpoint mortgage, LLC. I don t think there s enough room in this Google review to cite all the mistakes. Despite having $30,000 of our money in my escrow account, they missed our first two property tax payments to Ocean City, New Jersey. When I called to tell them that they put the burden on me to document that I had to pay a late fee for them to reimburse me. Fortunately, we caught their second mistake and paid that one before it was late. Also I was paying extra principal each month. I had automatic payments set up. About a year and a half ago I realized that they double dipped and took two automatic payments instead of one. They did this two months in a row. My payment should only be about $3300 per month. I was paying $5000 monthly but for two consecutive months they took out $10,000 each month. When I called them on it, they asked me to get bank statements from my bank to show that they double dipped twice. Fortunately, I had sufficient funds in the account to cover these extra $10,000 withdraws. Yikes. They always put the burden on you to show them how they have made a mistake. Can t they look at their own accounting records and figure that out, I asked them? A year ago, I found that I was being charged an extra escrow payment of somewhere around $500 monthly. I didn t have the extra hour to look into it the first month. But when I started to look into it, the next month I found out that I was being billed for a flood insurance policy because my flood insurance policy had lapsed. That previous summer, they asked me to send them a verification that I had such a policy in place. I sent them a copy of the declaration page to their I have insurance Site when they asked for it. There was never a lapse in any of my insurance is for the building. When I called our food insurance company, they said they even sent round point mortgage company a copy of the in force policy. After a phone call every month probably eight months later, they were still billing me this extra escrow fee. Finally I spoke to a woman in the insurance department for roundpoint. She assured me that they did confirm that I was covered. She then transferred me to the billing agent and I made payment for my premium that month on the correct amount. However, the next month, the additional fee was being requested again. Each time I spoke to a supervisor. Each time I was assured that I would get a call within five days from their escalation department to resolve this. No one ever called. Finally, one supervisor said that if I didn t make the extra escrow payment that my mortgage would be in default, so she recommended that I d make the extra escrow Payment, which would probably be the eighth month I would have done that. When I told her I was refusing to make the payment again because I was tired of paying for their mistake over and over again, that was how the conversation ended. You can never actually get to somebody who can fix their problems. The people who answer their phones and take payments are extremely cordial. But they need a resolution department that actually, well, resolves their problems. There have been other issues with Roundpoint. But these are the major nagging issues. My recommendation is that if somebody comes to you with a mortgage from round point LLC, run quickly in the opposite direction. If an independent mortgage agent is getting you a mortgage, specify in writing that you refuse to go with Roundpoint LLC.

Horrible company to deal with. My loan was bought and sold a few times over the years and I never had issues before having my loan go through roundpoint for my mortgage. Avoid this company like the plague unless you enjoy jumping through endless hoops and dealing with over seas call centers to get anything done.

If you want to add RoundPoint to your Quicken Simplifi financial tracker well, you cant. Roundpoint blocks the ability to add your mortgage data to financial planning applications like Quicken Simplifi. This is a pretty big issue if I cannot track my mortgage payments along with all of my other investments, loans and credit cards. This is literally the only account that I cannot track through Quicken. Roundpoint, why do you not enable this??? It s not a security issue because every other one of my accounts has been able to figure it out.

The absolute worst company I ve delt with over 30 years experience. They don t care about you, they don t care about anything. They collected your mortgage somehow and leave you holding the bag. They also charge you $50 if you re late regardless if it s their error. You have to fight and prove to them you even paid. Terrible service, terrible accounting, terrible company. I d give -10 stars if I could. You, are required to provide them with proof of insurance as well. This is the laziest company ever. Oh. If if the insurance lapses, they don t care. You pay, not them. I would not recommend round point as a service provider and if your loan was sold to them like mine was I m sorry. Customer service is terrible. They wholeheartedly do not want to help you and would rather fight with you than try and resolve the issue. I ve now had issues with them not paying my insurance and double charging me PMI. I had to be transferred to 3 separate people to get my insurance paid. PMI charge is still an ongoing issue. My loan was bought two months ago and it has been nothing but trouble since then. If you can stay far away from this company.

I dont even know where to begin, this nightmare started July 11th and has not ended. We made a claim on OUR home due to a nasty hailstorm in April. Our insurance company came out, inspected the damage, and told us that we had over $25,000 in damage. As per their policy (my insurance company), we were sent a check for half the amount. I went to deposit the check so I could pay the contractor but was told by the bank that RoundPoint needed to endorse it as well. I am new to this so I called RoundPoint after reading that I needed to mail them the check along with all insurance documentation, unendorsed, so that they could endorse the check. I told them I was concerned because I had already endorsed it. RP told me not to worry about it. I overnighted the check at a cost of $57 to RP and they received it on July 12th at 12:30pm. I called them on the 12th and I was then told that I needed to wait 3-5 business days so that they could process the claim and check. So, I waited, I called on July 18th and was told that it was mailed through First Class snail mail. THEY PUT A FULLY ENDORSED CHECK WORTH OVER $10,000 IN REGULAR MAIL. Apparently this is there policy. I was told that I should have it within 5-7 business days. I called back on the 25th of July and was then told that it was 7-10 business days. AT THIS POINT I AM STRESSING OUT. People need to be paid and it is now out of my pocket. I called again and was told that since I have not received it, August 1st, there was nothing they could do. I called my Insurance agent that same day and they said lets give it another week. On August 7th, still dont have the check, I had my insurance company put a stop payment on that check and they issued me another check. I received the new check ( funny how I can get the check from my insurance company) on August 19 and I did express mail and they received it on August 21. I called RP that the new check was coming but I was concerned about getting it back, the customer service person told me that since the first one was lost, that they would expedite this next check and send it through FedEx. I called on August 22 and was told that I needed to wait the 3-5 business days for the check to be processed again. Clearly at this point I am beyond mad and no one cares, why should they, they didnt have to fork over $10,000 out of their own pocket. So I called today, August 27th and was told that it had only been 2 business days, I asked why Friday wasnt included and no response. I have sent a complaint to their complaint department and even though you get a message saying someone will contact you, no one ever has. I am the one making the contact. During one of the phone calls I was told that there had been quite a few Natural Disasters and that mine wasnt the only check they had to endorse. So now, I will wait till 3 oclock when a supervisor is supposed to call me. I find it very ironic that I get their paper bill, and emails for my payment, yet you cant seem to get a check to me. Did the check even leave your office? It was fully endorsed. Funny, not funny. This company has provided the worst experience I have ever had. As soon as the rates drop, I will refinance to leave them. Hell, at this point I will pay money to leave them.

This is by far the worst mortgage company I have ever dealt with. Ive been trying for over a month to get the amount that goes into our escrow each month increased in order to sufficiently cover what will bel owed for property taxes and no one here seems to understand what to do or who I need to talk to in order to get it done.

All the sudden they could not verify insurance info. so the old company didnt pass on this information. so what does roundpoint mortgage do? they purchase the highest policy every and charge you for it. Another victim of our mortgage being sold to roundpoint. Our home insurance company decided to no longer offer coverage in our state, our agent found us a new insurance company, we provided the information to roundpoint, and roundpoint paid the wrong company! They are now trying to increase our mortgage by $700 a month for their mistake. My husband has called them multiple times, has notes from each call, and after several weeks there is no resolution. Each person he talks to says there are no notes from the previous call. Terrible customer service and company

This is the worst company I have ever done business with. My mortgage was sold to Roundpoint and I will do everything within my power asap to get it out of their hands. I cannot reach a human in the US to handle my concerns. They continue to charge me mortgage insurance despite having 67% equity in my home and make EVERYTHING difficult to manage as a borrower. Everything must be done via snail mail if you need something taken care of. There is no email to contact and they intentionally make doing business with them difficult to keep their profits high. Avoid this company at all costs and if your mortgage is sold to them, get out fast!!!

RoundPoint doesnt even have secure messaging, just 2 email portals -- one of which is a web form that looks like it works but actually wont send email; you have to find the other one. Ive had 5 mortgage lenders in the past 10 years, and RoundPoint has been the worst of them all.

This is a revision to the below review. RoundPoint called me after seeing the review to tell me that the agent I spoke to about an interest credit had given me incorrect information and that RoundPoint was going to overnight me a check for the 4 days of excess interest I paid (~$500). I also expressed frustration in the original review about the 7-day processing time they required after the loan was transferred from Rocket. However, processing time for a new account is reasonable and the fact that my loan transferred on the same day as I intended to pay it off was just bad luck. So at this point I have to conclude that RoundPoint did the right thing in refunding me the excess interest and any negative statements below concerning their business model I retract. I had a Rocket Mortgage loan that was transferred to RoundPoint after 6 months. As it turned out, I was planning to pay off my loan in full on the 6 month date as that was the earliest date I was allowed to pay it off. So because the mortgage was transferred on the 6 month date I had to settle the loan amount with RoundPoint. They would not accept any payments for 7 days due to processing time so that cost me $125/ day in additional loan interest. Then, on the 7th day, Round Point calculated my payoff amount and sent it to me via encrypted email. I was unable to open the email so I asked RoundPoint to provide me the information some other way. They refused this so now I was unable to payoff the loan for another day another $125 in interest. On the 8th day I was able to open the email and I wired the funds to RoundPoint first thing in the morning. The payoff estimate that had given me was good through August 12th. My understanding in talking with their agent was that if my wire was received earlier they would credit me back for the amount of excess interest. Today I called to verify if they d received the wire and the agent told me they had not and that it can take up to 72 hours for receipt of funds. This is crazy, wire transfers, unlike ACH, are immediate. The agent also told me that I would not receive any interest credit. So in my 8 day experience as a RoundPoint customer I was charged $1,500 in excess interest for a loan I was prepared to payoff on August 1st. Also, since RoundPoint claims it needs 72 hours to receive a wire, they are earning interest on my $602,670 payment while also charging me interest during those days. This has got to be the sleaziest operation I ve ever encountered. Unbelievable that their business model requires them to cheat their customers.

Due a transfer from another mortgage company to RoundPoint my account has been messed up. I sent in the amount as asked for and then a new mortgage amount was sent to me so I was short funds in my account and it needed to be fixed. The customer rep I talked with was very knowledgeable and we got it taken care of in minutes. She was very professional as well. Thank you, Sandy

This mortgage company is the WORST!! I have had my mortgage for 15 years and since this company has taken over, it s been nothing but problems! They are impossible to get a hold of and yet send ridiculous amounts of snail mail harassing their clients over the tiniest issue. They are rude when you call and not willing to work with you over any small thing. Worst company I ve dealt with, period!

I called to get information about my mortgage. The guy helping me was very useful and took his time to answer my question. He had to put me on hold. Yet, every two or three minutes, he would pick up the phone and tell me he was still working on my question and documentation. That was nice since I never felt left out. Five start times for him

Literally, the worst loan company I have ever had the displeasure of working with. None of the agents know their head from a hole in the ground. One agent will tell you one thing, and another will come and say that isnt correct. One agent even told me once that she never said that when me and my fiance both heard her. When you do, actually get in touch with the supervisor, nothing gets done about it except oh we will have to do a training for the employees to make sure the staff have the correct information. Even then, they cant get it right. I told them to sell my loan to someone else cause Im tired of all this. If anyone reading this knows how I can get my loan changed to someone else or how I can get them to sell my loan, please inform me because I cant handle much more from them. At this point, its time to fire them all and start over because its not working out

Follow up to my review last month. I filed a complaint with a Better Business Bureau. Notice how they reply to all the reviews they reply just with the social media email. Con artists and multiple lawsuits. Biggest bunch of idiots ever. I tried to make my payment online. I can t even register my account online because it shows invalid. Somehow my payment didn t go through last month and now they re calling me and they won t even help me at all. I offered to pay two months in advance and they waive The late fee. Absolutely the biggest freaking nightmare ever.

Please do yourself a favor and filter to the most recent reviews. Can you see how many one star reviews they have? I sadly read through them and they are all TRUE. My mortgage lender was bought by Roundpoint, and in the process (first payment due) there was trouble transferring my automatic payments from my previous lender (Flagstar Bank). I spent several phone calls with customer service representatives and ultimately made payments over the phone while they worked to resolve the issue. As it turns out a new bank account needed to be drafted from every month and from that time I have made my payment 2-3 months in advance because I am worried the same chaos will unfold again. I am due to remove the PMI from my mortgage. Paperwork was submitted and again several calls from customer service representatives were made- they called me to tell me that my PMI would be removed and that everything looked great! Except that isn t what happened. I received a letter (after THEY called ME to tell me to expect the PMI to be removed) indicating that Roundpoint denied this request. Are you wondering why? Their reason was that I had missed payments in my history. I thought this was a joke frankly, as I had mentioned earlier my mortgage up until this point had been paid in advance 3 months prior. At this point I knew I needed to send an email to retain some form of written proof of my conversations with this company, as you can guess they are not trustworthy enough to speak to over the phone. I sent this email weeks back and have received no response. In the meantime I called their customer service phone number and the representative I spoke to let me know that the payment I missed was that first payment that clearly was an issue on their own end. In addition to this, he informed me that it was my responsibility to have solved the problem sooner- despite the fact that I spent several hours on the phone with them in order to resolve the issue, completely negating the fact that this is exactly what I had done. His advice was essentially to have done exactly what I did and I wouldn t be in this situation. By the end of our conversation I asked if there was anyone else I could speak to, because there were countless times he mentioned that there was nothing else he could do or say and it was beyond his responsibilities and control. I was told to send an email, which I informed him that I had and asked when they would respond he said 30 days!!! I m sorry but 30 days to respond to an email? I cannot fathom the disorganization of this company in order to not receive a response from customer service over an email for 30 days, especially in a time where email is your fastest (and often only) form of communication. But after seeing the mismanagement of my account and their lack of regard for issues that stemmed from THEIR BUYOUT, this level of negligence makes sense. If you have an option not to use this company, DON T! If you want to buy a home and this is your only option, WAIT. If you read all of this plus the other one star reviews, and still think it can t be this bad, I assure you that IT IS.

My previous lender sold my loan to Roundpoint mortgage. After four years of paying on time, I had a typo of $.10 and was charged a $77 late fee. I was told a phone call was made 2 times to rectify, the call came in as junk. They are not allowed to leave a message, they do not send emails, they do not have a courtesy waive. If I had an escrow account, I could come out of that account. I wasnt offered an escrow account. My experience with servicing companies has never been good over multiple property ownership and I dislike when the lender sells my loan. They are not here for partnership or relationship. Im contacting Fannie Mae, CFPB and Better Business Bureau. This has been a terrible experience and Roundpoint stinks.

Worst mortgage company I have ever dealt with. Only gets one star because there isnt an option for 2. After a house fire I contacted Roundpoint for assistance and their customer service rep suggested a forbearance plan so that we could pause our payments while dealing with this catastrophe. I said yes and answered all his questions at which point he told me my loan was now set up with a forbearance plan and HE went into my account and turned off the automatic draft. Several weeks later imagine my surprise when Im contacted by Roundpoint and informed that my account is delinquent and has been reported to the credit bureau. I explained what had happened and the notations in my account confirmed it. They said they were correcting it and had me go through a whole new application process for the forbearance. Even though they have it in their records what happened, they refuse to remove the delinquent payment report to the credit bureau and ruined my credit.

This loan servicer bought out our mortgage then sent the wrong address to our insurance company for billing. Our insurance company called us and told us they had not received payment from Roundpoint, so I called to confirm they were paying it. They said not to worry it would paid by them. A month later my home had no insurance and they still had not paid it. I received a call from my insurance saying it was in default. This company is garbage. They did not follow through with payment of my insurance, I was told they would call me back when they resolved the situation. No call back. No we have defaulted homeowners insurance on our record. Luckily was able to reinsure home.

Ever since our company had been moved to RoundPoint its one thing or another with issues. Ive had to make numerous long wait phone calls to get them to fix escrow info. They say its fixed and then here comes another letter. Then another long wait on the phone again. Surely this company can do better apparently this is the norm for them with reading the reviews.

Worst company!!! I paid off my escrow and called to have them update the payment. Was told it would take 10 days. Its been 1 month and a half! Keep getting the wrong around for more than a month. And in the mean time Im short because they keep taking extra money hate that they are affecting peoples lives.

This company is an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE to deal with!! I ve spent hours upon hours over weeks and weeks to try to solve an incorrect payment issue and it s no closer to being solved. My life happiness has drastically decreased since my mortgage was sold to this company. It s really terrible to put a human through what they ve done to me. Every week I m told something and it doesn t happen so I have to call again and explain the whole situation again and then they still don t fix it. Ever since our mortgage has been moved from flagstar to Roundpoint, we have had nothing but issues with this company. This is not the first company to purchase our mortgage from another company. Ive been paying on this house since 2000. It seems that my mortgage changes hands about every five years and this is the first time it has been an issue. Trying to make a payment on their website is terrible. Their website...is terrible. They seem to be very poorly run. If I had a choice, I would choose anyone over them.

We paid off our mortgage in June. They still charged July. Cannot get anyone to answer or message us back. We expect our money returned and interest for having it well past the date you were paid off. Will contact CFPB and FDIC if not answered soon. Your system should have known it was paid in full and stopped auto drafting.

I am at my wits end here. My property taxes can be paid and have always been paid in two installments, first half due by Jan 31 and the other half due by July 31. Last year RoundPoint paid my taxes this way. But then for some reason WITHOUT MY PERMISSION they paid the entire amount in December. I DID NOT AUTHORIZE THAT. That triggered a shortage in my escrow account which triggered an escrow analysis and now RoundPoint is taking an extra $300 per month out of my account for this shortage. If they had paid half like I always have paid, there would be no shortage. Ive called FOUR TIMES and keep being told that they will create a task, but nothing gets done. This is the third month that theyve taken an extra $300 out of my account. Ive now filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Their customer support is horrific. Unfortunately I refinanced a couple of years ago when rates bottomed so Im stuck here; if I could find a rate anywhere near what Im paying I would refinance in a heartbeat. Im seeing other complaints about screwing up other peoples taxes and escrow, too. Any attorneys want to start a class action lawsuit?

Since RoundPoint has acquired my loan, I ve had nothing but issues. Any time I have questions, they are unable to answer or explain their policy or requirements. Many requests never get completed and require multiple follow ups to get addressed. I ve had several mortgages over 30+ years and never had the challenges with any other mortgage servicer like I ve had with RoundPoint.

Pray your mortgage never gets sold to Roundpoint. They are grossly disorganized and inconsistent. I would go into details about how horrible they are but literally every encounter I have with them is another exercise in negligence and incompetence. Some of the agents are nice but regardless of them being pleasant, nothing I have requested ever gets done without a fight.

I am sad to hear that my loan was transferred from EPM into Roundpoint Mortgage Servicing Corporation; specially when initially was told that EPM serviced all their loans and never transferred any. I called the new servicer, and was told that my loan will be on their system as of 12/09, when the letter I received said 12/01. As I tried to speak to an agent, the first message I received This is an attempt to collect debt??? once I was connected to an agent, I had a hard time understanding the agent. Nothing like the customer service I received before. This is just the beginning and I already do not want to deal with this company any more.

The absolute worst customer service EVER!! My mortgage company sold my mortgage to this company and it has been a complete nightmare since the day the change happened. I was in the middle of an insurance claim and my original mortgage company was helpful, easy to work with and knowledgeable. They made a stressful situation bearable. Roundpoint, on the other hand, wouldnt listen, spoke over me, and spoke with zero professionalism and a lot of attitude. They have ZERO knowledge regarding the information they offer and ZERO desire to learn or seek someone who does. At one point, I found myself asking if it might be helpful if I drew them a diagram bc I literally cannot communicate with these kind of people. I need a check they had to endorse, in order to pay my contractor. This procedure has been done a couple times before and while the process was lengthy, I eventually got the checks. Now they act like this is a completely different situation and they need more documentation. In addition, the lady (term used loosely) said they deposited the check. WHAT?!?! They dont plan to pay the contractor, so what does that even mean? This company needs to be shutdown immediately because Im not convinced they arent some type of scammers. This check is roughly $5500, so its not a huge amount. Not to mention my original mortgage company endorsed the bulk of the checks, I just had a couple left when my mortgage was sold. They claimed they needed a document regarding a $2000 (approx) check. A check that has been endorsed, deposited and paid to my contractor and had I not called I assume they never would have reached out to let me know the situation or provide clarity. There has to be a full moon or this is part of some prank show bc I cannot imagine a company this asinine would still be in business. However, after seeing the other reviews I see its par for the course. Other mortgage companies PLEASE stop selling our mortgages to this company.

If I could give them a Zero star, I would. This has to be the most unflexible mortgage company. They do not waive any late fees - at all! Regardless whether your late payment was in or out of your control. My payment was late because my personal bank froze its customer accounts due to it was failing which caused by payment to be late. They said they understood but could not help me even after I proved to them it was the truth. Be warned! Be sure to ask that question of any company that you intend to mortgage your home through! Your mortgage company should not be more inflexible than a regular bank. As soon as those interest rates drop, Im out!

UPDATED JUNE 17 It is now June 7th and still no check! This company makes zero effort to return your money. We got a letter on April 15th noting that the mortgage balance was paid in full. Told me two weeks ago check in in the mail. So far they have not blamed the USPS. Today I thought I would try a chat. To speak to them via chat they send you to a Chat Service site where they need all your info, including your computer info, plus charge you a $1. to start the chat. They somehow refund the $1. after the chat. They simply do not get it. Will see how long it takes to get a call back to the email message that they make you send. Their contact us capability is poor. None of their limited call options that you must respond to gives you the option to speak to a representative. Once you hit a dead end in their response options all you get is GOODBYE! In order to actually speak to someone you must submit a request to have one of their representatives call you. OK .so how long will that take? Let the phone tag begin. Still waiting. In addition, 30+ days now to get our escrow surplus funds returned to us. In order to stop payment on the check that they said they sent .we were told we had to wait a full 30 days after which they would cut us a new check. Like the call back still waiting. Very happy to have sold our home and be free of Roundpoint.

Of course they lost ALL the documents for my mortgage. POS banks who take your money and in return constantly screw up. Update TWO WEEKS and STILL not rectified. NOT calling. NOT sitting through 80 menu options to get transferred around and ultimately NO HELP. Update I had to email the social media people. Thats pretty ridiculous that I had to do that. They said someones going to call me. I havent heard from any one yet. Not holding my breathe. Update 3/25. Still nothing. Update: I finally got what I needed but it took 3 months!!!!!! This awful place needs to shut down!!!

This company and the assumptions department is slow and unwilling to help customers. I have had a loan with this company for 5 plus years with all payments on time and they drug their feet on the assumptions portion this spring for over 6 months! After turning in 100s of papers, tons of money, and getting aggravated with the time frame, this department then denied us with no reason why and started ignoring all emails and communication. The assumption department and all members are horrific. We now are pulling ALL loans from this company that has left us hanging and caused us hardships. Dan McDerment and Mallory are possibly the worst loan officers I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Taking WEEKS to respond or do anything on your loan. After researching I saw where they do this to hundreds of their customers and several have lost their homes over it. If you are looking for a loan company I advise you to look anywhere else but this company. Research their reviews! I wish I had before using this company. They will do nothing but take your money and waste your time.

Terrible company in every aspect. They have no idea what they are doing and if you have them as a lender be prepared to spend a lot of time on the phone fixing their mistakes! I cannot wait for my mortgage to be transferred to another company to escape this disaster.

Terrible terrible company. If youre looking for a mortgage company, do not choose this one. They forgot to take out money for taxes and insurance and told me I owed them $10,000 for their mistake, which they split up over a year. My payment ended up going from $1700 to $2700. Ended up getting charged 3 months of late fees because their app was broken, while I was on auto pay, and they continued to try to take money from an account that was closed months prior, WHILE having the new account set up and connected to auto-pay.

I wish I could change Mortgage companies. I have been dealing with an issue since April. Ive had about 5 employees giving me different answers each time I call. They do not know what they are doing here. Im a very patient person but I dont like getting misinformation. DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY IF YOU CAN AVOID IT. Unfortunately I had no choice they took over from the last company I was with. I see from other reviews Im not alone.

The mortgage company did not accept my normal monthly payment after a small increase in escrow. I found out about the increase b/c of a 30-day late on my credit report. They have stated it is a valid report and after 6 attempts with customer care, they are not willing to remove the derogatory 30-day late. Updated: While I appreciate the appearance of you trying to make this right, I emailed the social media email address that you provided. It has been over a week and I still have yet to receive any communication from RoundPoint regarding this matter. Including the two attempts through the BBB and the latest email, I have now inquired 9 times to get this resolved and have yet to be contacted by RoundPoint.

these people do not know what they are doing, I tried to simply change insurance and it has taken me 3 months of trying to get it sorted out and they still dont know why my escrow account increased. I have figured out why its because they didnt do their jobs.

We tried multiple times to change the bank the mortgage was taken from without luck. They never fixed it but we didn t realize til we got behind. Even after getting it caught up they didn t add it to the debt they put it as a credit. I m still trying to go in and change the banking info but can t get into the site because they haven t credited my balance. The people I talk to are always pleasant and professional but the company has horrible practices.

My house was hit by a tornado March 15 and severely damaged my siding and windows. My insurance check was received by RoundPoint March 28. I have been waiting on a $17,000 insurance check signature for one month from RoundPoint Mortgage. (They need to sign so I can get the repairs done.) It took them 2 weeks to process and sign the insurance check. Once signed they then lost the $17,000 check and blamed usps. I requested a manager and was denied several times and ignored as they repeated the same script over and over to me. Just wait it s coming! I ve been on the phone with them at least 10 times in the last month. Each time it takes about 15 minutes to get someone on the phone. Most of the customer service reps are rude and abrasive like it s my problem that my house was hit by a tornado, and not their responsibility. Zero accountability and zero customer focus. First manager, Anderson Mogollon s, phone went straight to voicemail and never returned one call or email. Second manager, Jody Picton, pushed blame on usps, and told me to get a new check issued from my insurance company like it s no big deal. I guess they misplace a lot of checks!?!? It is now April 30th and I ve requested a new check from my insurance company and we will start the process over that started 6 weeks ago. Who is Roundpoint and how do I get my mortgage back with a reputable company? Does senior leadership at RoundPoint know how bad it is there?

My loan has been sold to various companies, and they are the worst. Among other annoying issues, they did not inform me that my Auto-pay payment was returned, they just charged me a late fee and then sent me an email 3 weeks later, saying my credit was at risk. I called and explained that I had no way of knowing, because they never contacted me, and they said they did call, once, but they don t leave messages, and they don t send emails for returned payments. They said they also do not waive late fees. Seems very convenient for them great way to make even more money off of people. They also do not offer home equity loans, or any other services that a bank would.

I would give the a big fat -10 rating already and I was just trasfered to them 4 months ago.This company is so messed up. I was transferred to this mortgage company in December, 2023.I was on a payment plan with my mor company prior to being transferred,so I was already trying to catch up with payment.My prior mortgage company and I had no problems, they never ever gave a bad report about me to the credit company,because they trusted that I was trying.Roundpoint made a payment plan with me and I have been paying the payment plan on time but they still gave me a negative report to the credit company.I had a credit score of 750+ ,for the last 4 months they have been giving a negative report to the credit company even after making a payment plan .My credit now is 630 and I was tranfered to them 4 months ago from flagstar......I have already contacted the Department of Commerce.They are going to investigate this bogus company....I give them a negative 10!!!

The WORST !!! For the last 3 months, they havent updated my new bank information, and their software doesnt allow me to cancel the old numbers, even though the bank account is already marked as primary. The software keeps trying to charge me from a nonexistent bank account. Also, their staff is not properly trained, they keep asking me to cancel auto-enrollment, just to say afterward: Oh, I forgot, you cant enroll it back within the next 24 hours!!!. Then after that, they charged me a late fee due to insufficient funds in my account! Its been a nightmare for the last 3 months! They cant fix that! Never go with them!

My mortgage was transferred to them a month ago and theyve already screwed me over. I called to ask about adding an extra amount to my principal payment each month, and specifically said I wanted to update my autopsy settings. I did what the employee on the phone said to do, but instead of updating my autopsy settings, it made a whole extra mortgage payment, plus the additional principal payment. I obviously did not want to make two mortgage payments this month. The employee I spoke to upon calling back was very helpful and helped me correct the issue going forward, but the initial mixup is inexcusable. Obviously most of us have no control over who owns our mortgages, but if you have the option, I would not recommend doing business with this company under any circumstances. Edit: Theyve now also screwed up my insurance renewal by losing the new policy info I submitted and paying to renew the old policy that Id already cancelled. If I had any way to get away from them, I would.

Round point mortgage doesn t pay the insurance company with the money that was taken from escrow, then threatens to implement their own policy. They have all the information and asking me to input my information on an insurance website that has a 50.8 % trust rating.Why would I do that? If Round Point mortgage would just pay the insurance which hasn t changed in 20 +years and never had an issue with any other mortgage company. There would be no lapse in coverage.

Since my transition from Flagstar to round point it s been an awful experience. Hold times are insane. They didn t transfer my escrows over correctly and missed my Insurrance payment as well. I ve not received statements in the mail timely at all and customer service help is worthless just reading scripts. Their system always makes you verify your information multiple times, yet they had the wrong mailing address on file after two change attempts. How do I take my loan elsewhere?

One of the worse mortgage services I have ever had to work with. Wanda has such a bad actitud, when your mortgage goes up $300 a month you need explanation. Then she blamed my bank for being late for a month in an autopay .in a 25 years of a house owner I have never had this bad customer service.

Worst experience ever. I was never late on any of my mortgage payments until my loan was transferred to this company. Their online system double charged my bank resulting in one payment successfully remitting each month. Nevertheless, they still FALSELY claim that they did not receive their payments. Currently suing them, and reported this company to CFPB. They dont even try to work with their customers they dont answer emails, the call center is a joke. A true nightmare.

Horrible experience regarding my escrow and getting my check. Impossible to talk to a human the phone line just hangs up on you. You have to send an email and even then they dont respond. Looks they give generic replies on these Google reviews to send them an email. Try to avoid them at all costs!

RoundPoint really messed up our mortgage payments. A representative told us to pay April and that automatic payments would begin in May, so I paid April but then they auto-draft April again, causing significant financial strain. Now they say we have to wait 10 days for a refund check to be cut, then mailed. That means were stuck without money for the rest of the month and facing extra fees from the bank. Even though they promised to talk to their agent about giving us the wrong info, it doesnt help us now. Were not happy with RoundPoint and were reporting them to the Better Business Bureau.

Roundpoint bought our mortgage and we were unable to make a payment for over a month while they were transitioning our mortgage. Now, our payment is due on the first of the month and the next statement is generated on the second. So, if they take one day to process the payment, the statement shows that we owe twice as much as we actually owe. Customer service said the issue cannot be fixed.

TL;DR: get out, if you can. My mortgage was sold at the holidays/new year, when life is already chaotic and hectic enough. Everything was rushed, and very limited information was given to me. I am extremely disappointed that I have now been having to deal with round point for a few months. Everything about this mortgage servicing company is ridiculous. In the decades that I have had mortgages, I have never had as many issues with a mortgage service, as Ive had in the past few months. My account needed to be paid, but I couldnt set up an account with them for at least two weeks after the pay date. The app is pointless. My emails are not responded to, and each phone call takes over half an hour with the majority of that trying to get through their maze of a system. The customer service reps are not trained well enough, so they cant help with basic questions for the other areas, so you need to call again and wait again and press buttons incessantly until hopefully you get a real person, or it hangs up on you and you need to call again. If you also got stuck with this company after your mortgage was sold, Im sorry. I feel for you. If you are considering this company for a mortgage, RETHINK YOUR LIFE CHOICES. RUN AWAY!!!

Im really disappointed to be a ToundPoint customer. Id never suggest someone this terrible company. We have a lot of problems with misapplied funds they did. Even if we tried to call their helpdesk or send them emails and requested to solve the issues they wont solve it at all. I have paid twice a month and for some reason, Round Point made the wrong decision and applied each payment in a different way. Each 1st payment is for the monthly mortgage payment and each 2nd they apply it to the Principal Payment. As a result, I have had a few missed monthly payments which have been accumulating every month since we became RoundPoint customers. So, I requested the RoundPoint customer help department to solve all the Misapplied Funds they did and recalculate my current balance. Even I sent them a signed bi-weekly application form. And we have never received their response either an email or phone call just to confirm that everything is good, they see what the problem is, and they are doing their best to solve the problem and blah blah blah. Instead of that I still have to call them every week and get absolutely useless conversations over the phone trying to fix misapplied funds and stop collecting debts on our balance. Now we know that RuondPoint is the most terrible mortgage company we have ever had.

This has by far been the worst experience with customer support of my life. My dad passed away 4 years ago and I became the successor of interest of the mortgage. The mortgage is now in the Estate of my dads name. I also had to change my home insurance policy to my name because obviously my dad is deceased. This has never been an issue!!! All of a sudden because the homeowners insurance is not in the estate of my dads name they can not accept the insurance! Are you kidding me? This has not been an issue for 4 years! One of the representatives literally told me I don t know what to tell you. Real helpful. I regret the day my loan was transferred to this company. Disgraceful. Update: I called back and finally received the help that I needed. It appears with this company it s all about who you speak to.

Absolutely horrid experience to date. Avoid at all costs. Customer service is none existent. Rate changes without authorization or consent due to poor practices on their end. No one can return a call or email. Office are closing around the country and the open offices wont take appointments or see customers at all. I am praying my mortgage gets sold again so I dont have to deal with these clowns. Edit: after arguing with them for 3 months, things are only work. 10/10 worst company Ive dealt with in my life.

Im trying to add RoundPoint to my Quicken Simplify financial tracker and you cant. From the Simplify forums this is due to RP blocking the ability to add them to financial planners like Simplify. Stop telling me, the customer, what I can or cant add to financial planning sites like this. Im looking forward to the, its a security issue so we dont allow it response, which is lame because theres thousands of sites that allow you to link you accounts so its not a real answer but a PR one. Ill update this review when I can add my mortgage to Simplifi.

I have a 30 year mortgage and due to new policy I have to reset my password every 3 months. That s 120 times over the course of the loan. Did anyone at roundpoint consider this? I am all about security but this is overkill. There s significantly more likelihood of data being stolen when loans are resold and shuffled than over my secure device and encryption software. Often the pay portal seems to be down as well meaning I have to do multiple log ins a month just to pay in a timely manner. Fix your processes or shuffle me to a serious lender. Thanks for helping me achieve the American dream.

This company is so alarmingly bad. It s near impossible to get a human on the phone and when you do they are cold and unhelpful. My mortgage was transferred to this company and its been so stressful since. Feeling really helpless since people s livelihood can fall into the hands of a company like this and us as home owners have no control over it. Praying this place goes out of business so my mortgage can be managed by humans again. If there is a way for you steer clear, do so.

This compagny need to fix their customers service, Ive been dealing with a Hardship moment back October 2023, i called to let them know about the situation, its look like none of them knows what they are doing, until i found one of their staff who was helpful to explain what i shoud do and sent me to the right department who can resolve my issue, i was not able just to make one payment when i was out of my jobs and since i am back i needed to make it up so the can postpone my payments, since then i have to redo the application over and over and guest what ? They keep reporting my credit to the bureau and i went from 7>0 credit to 650 becahse of yhem mot helping, i am not sure if they keep the note after we call them, its just insane seeing my credit going down all the time , i wish they can transfer me to another compagny i hate them

My mortgage was transferred to this company last month and Im not liking my experience already. My Father passed away January 6, 2024 and husband passed away February 5, 2024. In the mist of things I couldnt catch up with my mortgage, advise the company what I was dealing with. The rep at that time informed me that they were mailing a loss mitigation packet in which I just received. However, Im getting calls. I answered the call today advise the rep that I just received the packet and explained to her what I was dealing with again. She advised that was a month ago. Totally unacceptable. Im not looking for you to feel sorry for me in anyway however, life does happen. The rep advised that I would go into foreclosure if they dont receive a payment .

I would give this mortgage company zero stars if I could. You would think that a mortgage company would want you to take care of the property. Not roundpoint. On repeated instances I have gotten returned insurance checks that aren t endorsed by this mortgage company. They are holding up insurance work because they won t endorse the check before every other signee has endorsed it. Talk about ridiculous. My other lien holders are local so they will endorse the check without it going through the mail. The last thing I want is a fully endorsed check to get stolen and cashed by the thieves because it is going through the mail system fully endorsed so stupid round point!!!! I hate that you bought my mortgage from my last servicing company that was fantastic to work with in every regard!!! Update: We finally did talk with a person at Roundpoint. They were helpful in understanding why they wouldnt endorse the insurance checks. The process to get them endorsed was ridiculous so we finished all repairs and then had the insurance company remove them from the checks. Im not impressed Roundpoint.

RoundPoint is the WORST mortgage company in business today. It is nearly impossible to do business with this company. Actually being able to speak with a customer service representative is next to impossible. This is the second time in the last 6 years a mortgage has been sold to RoundPoint. Again today after 30 minutes of entering information the IVR disconnects because no live representative is available in servicing or escrow. This is the pattern for this company ! Where is the oversight ? I am in the process of reporting RoundPoint to the CFPB

Absolutely the worst when it comes to servicing my loan account. I just wasted 8 minutes trying to get to a live agent and was told that I am Number 505 (not a typo) in line to speak to an agent. This company screws up my escrow account and monthly payments EVERY YEAR, then tells me that if I dont pay some arbitrary new monthly payment - which they never communicated to me - that theyd report me to the credit bureaus as having missed a mortgage payment, thus dinging my credit score. Note: I had paid the FULL previously communicated monthly payment AND paid the escrow forecasted shortfall amount, which should have brought me payment back to the original amount. The CSR even admitted that the payment issue was their fault but that if I didnt cough up $86.xx, they would still report a missed mortgage payment to the credit bureaus. Roundpoint runs their operation as though it is out of someones garage with part time high students.

If I could give zero stars, I would. After 4 years of ON-TIME and frequently EARLY mortgage payments, this company reported me to the credit bureaus for a reported closing delay for which I was told I needed to do nothing. I challenged the reporting which was escalated multiple times to no avail. It has now been nearly 7 years and this reporting is finally falling off my credit report. To impact a clients credit for 7 years over nothing more than a reported closing delay is deplorable. If Roundpount Mortgage thinks they are going to gain referrals, repeat business, or compliments from me, I can assure them that I have alerted everyone to STEER CLEAR! Their mission statement is nothing more than a joke. And yes, Mr Kevin Brungardt, CEO, that includes you. They are an abject failure. Zero stars from me. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!

If I could give zero stars I would. My house flooded and then within 10 days of that I had emergency surgery ( no insurance because I just started a new job) so I m forking out more money than I m bringing in at the moment & I requested to defer my house payment for ONE month so I could get a handle on things & they suggested that I see what else I qualify for to see if I can get assistance for a couple of months, which sounded good to me. They promised to call back and never did. I called the next week just for them to tell me they couldn t help me unless it messed my credit score up & that they don t offer defer payments AND told me I needed to be behind on payments for them to actually help me. I was trying to prevent from Falling behind on a payment. This place was absolutely no help. I can t wait until someone buys me out from this place!

My mortgage got bought by this company and it s been horrible my payment jump $60 and no one can explain why! Can t reach anyone, called in was 410th in line. Zero customer service sent an email and it bounced back. What a joke of a company. They really need to be investigated by the government.

True they did reach out to me and acted like they cared. They say they are trying to help me but don t respond. They tell me that it s normal to run a hard inquiry when your mortgage is transferred. It s not. This company is a damn joke! Do not use this company! If your mortgage gets sold to them good luck!!! Our mortgage was sold to this company. They managed to have my credit dropped by 50 points due to transfer . They said this was standard and would eventually return to where it was. Obviously, that s not standard and they only did it to me, not my husband. I m in the process of trying to have an outside company help me to get this resolved. It s impossible to talk to anyone, and when you do, you get a different answer from each person! Stay away if you can!

UPDATE: 2/9/24 This place STILL gets a one from me. Are they really working in the 21st century? They have added the option of paying from TWO different accounts. However, you cannot make a SINGLE transaction and have the payment pull x amount from your primary account and the balance from the secondary account. So, I thought, just make two transactions, but their IT department does not allow you to change the amount in the payment field. Next step: call the customer service center. It gets better. The customer service rep CANNOT make two transactions in the same day. They would have to be made TWO days apart. Also, we wanted to make the monthly payment and pay the escrow shortage on the same day. Once again, a big fat no to that as well. They cannot process it that way. We had to pay the escrow shortage, let it post and THEN make the monthly payment. Guess I could always resort to snail mail and send two different checks, but I would be afraid they wouldnt be able to process that either. Glad to see the positive experiences some of you have enjoyed. That has not been my case. However, they DID fix my original problem of not being able to use Apple products. Maybe this will get remedied as well. ***************** ******************** Mr. Cooper sold my mortgage to this company. Certainly not a warm fuzzy feeling. Its the 13th of the month - no welcome package yet. Called them. Obtain info to make pmt online and guess what? I CANNOT make payment using just Apple. So, you buy my mortgage and now you are going to tell me which platform I have to use to pay my mortgage in this day and age? My partner uses Google Chrome, but I prefer my iPad. Sorry, Google. I like you for reviews, maps, etc., but why the bias RoundPoint?

Avoid Ever Getting a mortgage through these people. They buy and sell mortgages to make profits. They send out emails with false information. Avoid them at all costs

I have been having a very hard time getting in touch with a live person. I have tried all forms of contact and have not been able to successfully receive a response. Ive emailed the social media email address, called and tried all options, and messaged on the FB page. Im happy with everything else about this company but am not able to talk to any of the customer service team.

Awful experience, have sent emails with question/requests with no response, the customer service line is useless and impossible to get in contact with an actual person. They mishandled my taxes and then sent a letter blaiming me and then told me I have to wait 3 months for the refund when Im in the process of trying to buy another house. Ever since I was forced to use them it has been a nightmare to deal with them. My only hope is my next mortgage is not bought by this company...Terrible

This is the worst company! They offer 0 customer service. I can NEVER get a live person when I call. I requested information from RoundPoint weeks ago. Was promised that I would receive it in five days and now it has been two weeks...still NO information. I am praying that this company goes out of business and my mortgage is sold to another company. There is no way with their terrible customer service business model that they will stay in business. It is not sustainable. They treat their customers so unfairly. RUN from this company!!!!!

Terrible experience, have sent emails with question/requests with no response when you actually manage get a person they ask you to send an email with your request. They mishandled my insurance renewal and then sent a letter blaiming me. Ever since I was forced to use them a year ago it has been a nightmare to deal with them. I am currently at the 1 hour mark on hold to speak with them so I figured I would take that time to write this review to talk about my experience with them.

This place is horrible. My mortgage got switched and it has just been horrible. Run! Dont come here save yourself. I wrote them a check on the 22nd of December they cash it on the 18th of January. The transition process was horrible. I will say customer service reps are all nice.
