Corey Gee was FABULOUS to work with; my husband is NOT easy to work with but Corey was always answering texts and calls at all hours of the day, and so pleasantly. From the pre-approval process to settlement his dedication, availability and sincere patience helped make obtaining a mortgage fit for our situation. First, I should mention that Perennial/Cross Country ultimately delivered on what was originally promised. I believe this was due, in large measure, to the efforts of Daniel Shirley, who was my primary contact with the company during our refinance. From the very beginning he listened to what I was trying to accomplish and to any of my concerns during the processing of the refinance and took steps to make sure that they were addressed. For anyone considering this company for a mortgage or refinance I would highly recommend requesting Daniel as your contact. The process as a whole was a bit disjointed and could have gone a bit smoother but, as I said, the company ultimately delivered on what they had promised. The disjointed nature related to the collection of information that should have been done in a more systematic way and I as a customer should have had little involvement beyond the provision of initial information, which was a bit of an effort in and of itself. I believe a checklist of what was needed from each of those contacted would have helped things go smoother since needed information surfaced at the eleventh hour that was missing from contacts that had previously been made with my prior mortgage lender or from my insurance company, both of which had been contacted during the process but from whom information was found to be needed immediately prior to closing. While this was an aggravation, Daniel made sure that he resolved issues without my involvement and ultimately the company delivered the desired result. I should also acknowledge that the final product was error free and the closing went quite smoothly with the agent coming to our home to finalize the process........very hassle free closing.

The mortgage process was all done online and was really seamless. We uploaded documents needed for the loan review. All of our questions were dealt with timely and professionally. The process required only about 30 days. I would use them again!

Daniel Shirley from Perennial Funding / Cross Country Mortgage worked with me from start to finish on my home refinancing. He was able to get my interest rate down from 4.75% to 2.375% and knocked almost 5 years off my mortgage with a lower payment then what I was paying. If not for Collin Funesti with Perennial Funding, I might have just gone with somebody else. I worked Collin on my previous refinance with Perennial so already had high expectations for the service. As it happens while we were doing my second refinance, a merger of sorts took place with another company and the less personal, more technical auto process kind of took over and actually screwed things up a few times. Collin stayed very much in touch with me outside of these glitches to get my questions answered and resolve. They say good reviews are best when they demonstrate a business ability to manage a customer complaint more so than a business that never has issues to resolve. Had Collin not been involved in my account, I would have left. The reality is the rates are pretty much the same, the costs associated, etc. so the customer service really needs to stand out. Its a stressful experience understanding all the paperwork and going back and forth trying to make sure you understand it. It was not as stressful as it could have been with Collin. If you refinance, find Collin Funesti. He takes good care of his customers.

Patrick Dooley failed to lock the interest rate due to market change and didnt even bother to let me know until 10 days after. Then he suggested that I pay $5000 more in fees or go with higher interest rate. Lost $480 in appraisal fee working with him.

I had the pleasure of dealing with Mr. John McDonald. He was upfront with everything and always ready to explain an answer to any question I had. I have dealt with John on two different refinancings now and will look for him and Perennial Funding to do any other I made need. My boyfriend and I purchased our first home in 2019 and Corey was recommended to us by a family member. I cannot speak highly enough of the experience and have already recommended him to a few of my friends who have had similarly excellent experiences. We had no idea how the mortgage process worked, which was really nerve-wracking until we spoke to Corey. He was incredibly generous with his time, explaining the entire process and answering all of our questions. We were looking for a home that we could renovate to make our own and had a set amount of cash to use for the down payment and the renovation. Corey explained the different options for splitting up that money and the pros and cons of each so we could make an informed decision. Ive never felt like such a priority to a service provider. Corey was available all hours of the day, responding promptly to any questions and request, which is so important with how quickly things move in the real estate world where a lot of the process is happening after normal business hours. The broker was aggressive and condescending. He reacted to things I told him as if he had never heard them before. He was quick to throw other lenders under the bus. Overall, a bad experience and would not recommend them. Was told they would beat quicken loans but couldnt deliver. Go with Loandepot or Quicken if you want true honesty.

Jonathan Bahr lacks of communication skills or doesnt pay attention to the emails he receives from a potential customer. I said I didnt want to give my SSN for receiving a quote from them and he said that I said I didnt want to give my SSN for pulling my credit score. What a dumb. We didnt talk over the phone. It was all written communication through emails.
