When I refinanced my car through a 3rd party they did all the legwork for me and got me a decent rate through this place. I figured it would be a simple process when I decided to buy a motorcycle and take out a loan through them.
First, it’s near impossible to get someone on the phone or through email. When you do get someone on the phone, you just get a bunch of attitude.
Instead of working with my dealer directly to save time like most banks do, they insist doing everything through me and through the mail. When we finally got the loan approved and a check sent out, found out that they were too cheap to do overnight or even 3 day shipping. I even offered to pay for shipping as I was about to lose my bike I chose with how long this process took.
Just today I spent about an hour trying to setup autopay by myself as their app is useless. It’s through a completely different site and you need to manually add each loan with an account number which, YOU GUESSED IT, nowhere to be found.
I feel bad for people who use them as their primary bank because they are just not good, they’re slow to answer and really do not care.
I’ve taken out loans through other credit unions and banks before and never have I ever had an experience so poor that I felt the need to write a bad review.
They deserve 0 stars, the only reason I would support them getting the mandatory 1 star is because I got a decent rate from them.

You can NEVER get a human anymore. And they always say they are down for service and hang up. And the manager I spoke to was very rude! Thinking about another place to bank. They got bad in last year or two. Definitely not enough employees! Response to your response: That's bull! This has been going on over a year! I call every day an it says were down for maintenance or your ai hangs up on me cuz I want customer service. I made a 200 dollar payment on credit card an it shows, but they're calling me to make the 31 dollar payment! I MADE A 200 DOLLAR PAYMENT! CALL ME THIS IS CRAZY! These people will refuse to give you YOUR money during hard times if you don't have all your documents, and their customer service department will be completely unsympathetic and uncaring, and I've been a member with them for over 15 years! The majority of their complaints pertain to poor customer service, and even years later, nothings changed, which tells me everything I need to know. I'm done with this credit union.

HIGHLY PREDATORY. I’m a year and half to a 5 year term loan and have paid off the majority of my loan. I was mislead as to the terms of the loan on multiple occasions. They do not send or reach out with alerts electronically and then will issue a fees or charges without consent. I’ve only ever made early and majority over payments and nothing in the portal reflected otherwise. They claim to have sent a single letter and no calls, emails or other forms of contact. I then spent three weeks reaching out to them trying to get a hold of them. The actual portal itself does not reflect the amount that remains on your loan so there is no transparency about how much you’ve paid for.

By far not a institution to do business with. I have closed all my business & personal accounts with them, they are not minority or small business friendly, they discriminate against minorities even with good credit & low or no debt. They fill there quota by lending to minority owned businesses to make it look like they are a community friendly bank, but thats not the case by far. Stay away look for another credit union, believe me they’re are plenty!! Be warned…

Rip out this new ATM and throw it away. Biggest waste of time and money. You’ve got a 50/50 shot it ever in operation. 10 years behind to even have cash deposit on an atm. And the whole machine is down majority of the time.

I have never experienced such delay in hold times 45minutes to an hour just to answer and hang up. Poor customer service with most (not all) of the staff who are condescending or just not trained properly in friendly and professional service.

I had this bank for over eight years and ever since they change the automated system It is very hard to speak to a customer service and then you re on hold for 45 minutes and nobody picks up. This bank is going downhill. I don t recommend it. I am looking into switching.

I was with Lehigh Valley Federal around 12+ then they merged with Peoples First FCU. I must say I have only Had the best customer service experiences. Toni, Hope and all the CSRs. Always make it a pleasant experience. Love my PFFCU Downyflake.

Low quality banking with poor quality services. Stay away from this experience. After speaking with the mangers, given multiple excuses. I realize any company that doesnt hold the length of the business relationship important isnt a company I want to continue to work with. The online banking system is too out dated to preform necessary tasks. The branches are out the way to mandate a customer have to come into a branch to make payments is absurd. Do yourself a favor and stay clear. There are too many options I personally love American Bank . Not only am I earning interest on my checking and saving the online banking is so smooth and easy to use.

Unbelievably annoying to deal with. You re unable to make loan principle only payments online, and have to call or go in person. Wait times are super long. Anything over the monthly payment isn t applied to principal either. It s 2023, this should be an option in your app especially if you re going to tell people they can make these types of payments. Edit to reply from business - my situation isn t unique, I have a HELOC that I took extra money out on that I wanted to put back on the loan since I didn t need it for my improvements. I imagine there are many other people who want to make principal only payments that you are deducting interest from.

Not sure why I gave 2 stars, maybe cuz of the friendly tellers. Was there today for something I NEED to get done with member services. Totally useless and got to talk to no one...was so aggravated I left................. Update....found an appointment and got all my business taken care of quickly with a very friendly TAZEEN JAMSHED! She was wonderful!! AND very patient and helpful with my 94 year old dad whose business we needed to address....THANK YOU TAZEEN!!!!

This bank is very unprofessional. They changed their automated system and it s horrible. You have to wait 40 minutes just to speak to somebody I have been calling for a week and a half and I have not gotten no resolution on my issues I keep calling and all I have to do is keep waiting like 30 to 40 minutes to speak to somebody. I don t recommend it back to anybody. And then when you put a review in or asked to speak to a supervisor, you don t get a call back and all they tell you is to email them your concerns to the email address they provide, but they actually don t take us customers in consideration of how we feel. I have been with this bank for years and I regret it now I m definitely looking to move forward to a different bank.

Automated service is horrible 24 mins on hold while my wife and daughter are in the bank waiting as well and nobody in that bank can help without first connecting to the automated service. It s 2022 almost 2023 get it together or you will lose more customers. Waste of time!

My daughter and I had a joint car loan with People first. Never missed a payment. The car was totaled in may. Nationwide wrote them a check they claimed the had not received. Nationwide sent them another check again they claimed they didn t receive. I again told the bank the car was totaled. Called nationwide they looked into it and turned out the bank gave the wrong address on the payoff letter. They already hit my credit report with a negative. I spoke to a person at the bank who told me all I could do was file a dispute. She couldn t even give me someone else to talk to. 5 days later I ve left countless voicemails and sent emails and still not a word. Tonight it looks like they corrected the poor information they provided. However my score still appears to have taken a big hit. Poor customer service and they made no attempt to help resolve any of this. I wouldn t trust this bank with a nickel

I m with this bank for years, but now I m upset with something happening to my daughter. An employee work at Devonshire was her fiancé took money from her account to pay his bills, when they split three months ago for her security. She put a claim to the bank who ever responded to her at the phone call him told him what my daughter was doing. For me that is stealing. No excuse to use her account for that.

Worst customer service, every time you try to call customer service it is a consistently ridiculous long wait time. I tried the new texting option and its been 4 hours now without a response. Ive currently been on hold now for 25 minutes just to find out if the local branch accepts rolled change. Being able to contact locations directly was much better than waiting over an hour for simple question. Time to look for a new bank that cares about their customers and values their time.

i m getting mix-feelings about this bank. first i get these scam texts and scam calls from them about something i never did then they locked my account. then i called and asked them to unlock it and they said they can t and that i would have to order a new card and it will take 14 weeks. i agreed to that and the card has never came. i have money in that god awful bank that i can t even spend. oh

Ive been a member since April, 2016. I, never had a problem with any of my accounts, or loans. The only thing I, dont like is the ATM machines. Some machined let you deposit a check or cash, without any envelop and some do. I, prefer without the envelope. Great credit union.

I was going to open an account on early Monday afternoon , however I was told that I had to wait and schedule an appointment which at the earliest was the end of the week. This is the first time that I have been to a bank or CU and told that. Normally they have welcome arms to customers. Every state that I have lived in, you walk in open the account, Give Them Your Money, and go on about your day.

Went to open an account after paying off the old one. Was told there were still fees they forgot about even tho when i paid it they were talking to collections. Had to pay another 143.00 to open it altho was their oversight. Was mad.

I needed a personal loan for the closing costs of a home we are trying to buy and the Product Specialist, Angelica Rosado, was more than helpful in getting me the loan in less than 24 hours! She also helped me refinance my auto loan at a rate that was twice as good as what I current had. I could not be happier with her and People First and will recommend them to everyone I know. I have been a member of People First Credit Union al of my life. I had to come in today to change my address and cancel a debit card and get a new one because of a charge that I did not recognize. Again, everything went smoothly, and I am very happy with the service that I received. Audrey was fantastic and very helpful!

We had to make a few adjustments, which she did very quickly, and I was able to drive my new car home the next day! I would absolutely recommend People First to anyone looking for a no hassle, pleasant loan experience with no hidden fees.

Giving 1 star is being nice. I d give none but it won t allow me to review with no stars. What a joke Of a bank. I had my auto loan through this branch and they were less than helpful as i navigated GAP insurance. I was advised by a woman named Beverly to not pay on my loan until GAP came through so i knew they proper amount to work with payments on. It took quite some time to deal with the GAP insurance and when i finally did, i came in to restructure the remaining balance. I was told i was given bad info by someone who clearly didn t know my account (wrong because Beverly did in fact know my account). This has now all been reported to credit and sent to collections. I refused to pay interest when i was advised by a member of the people s first team to not pay until GAP was resolved. However they decided to make their own decision to send this out. I showed up to my first appt early and still had to wait 40 minutes past appt time to be seen while sitting with a 4 month old and Nothing was resolved. What a joke. Don t bother doing business with these people. Trying to deal with Brian was a waste of time and effort.

I had an appointment with Cheryl today and it was a pleasant visit. She was fun yet professional and made me feel comfortable. Usually when I deal with the staff here I m never really too impressed but this time around I was. I will continue to try to deal with only Cheryl going forward because she was a pleasure.

No STARS at all . The worst bank of life, terrible terrible customer service I called and spoken to different people and they were ALL very nonchalant and like they didn t wanna help solve my issue. Especially due to covid-19 there should be some respect on people s lives. They all need training in customer service or need new jobs. Just sickening . On top of that this bank doesn t let you do anything . No cash deposits like Wells Fargo of your bank is over drawn and can t make it due to work or other reasons .. can t even pay with a different checking account. It s just terrible.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER .I had to hang up the phone on a bank teller because she was rude and obnoxious. She kept repeating everything I was saying as if she was slow. As I got frustrated asking if I may come in to open up a new bank account. She was really smart-mouthed me that I had to hang up.

I just spoke to customer service and this lady, whose name I will reserve, is so rude, the worst service can be offered by these people, friends, I changed to PNC and this is a quality banking institution with good customer service. customer.

Been banking here for decades. Like their rates and locations. Customer service is poor. They wont send you loan coupons unless you call every year and request them. When you do that you get attitude. You cannot even change your address with them by phone. They require you to log-in to their website or send them a letter. Ridiculous. Why??
