This is probably one of the best pawn shops around. The staff were completely professional, honest and always set a fair price. I came in to pawn my Prada wallet that I didn't need (and didn't have a receipt for), and they took the time to inspect its authenticity through entropy. It was authentic (as I expected). This should tell you that all the luxury items and jewelry they have on stock are of high quality and authentic. (Not to mention the awesome price they have!) Overall, I am very pleased with my experience. I appreciate the patience that every single staff had for me, especially Katrina. She was really helpful, professional, kind and answered most of the questions I had. I do wish they had piano keyboards on sale.

I had never been into the shop before but I stopped in today hoping to sell my Camcorder. Allie was super rad, very helpful and had dope green hair. I got a very fair price, scoped some sick stuff and even bought some things from the electronics section. They had a friendly atmosphere, the staff was aces, the music was fuego and I'll definitely be coming back. Solid Hawk-Tuah out of 10.

Got amazing help from Christie. The couture room is more than I could have ever imagined. The items in this room are beautiful and very well priced. I would have never expected to find such a large amount of designer bags and jewelry.

Don t do business with them. I pawned my jewelry, received a call back that the loan was due 10/25, by 11/5, they had sold all pieces including a ring with three 0.40 ct diamonds in it. When I asked what else could be done - they asked if I wanted to look at their jewelry and buy something. Just DON T.

It seems I cannot respond to the other owners response in a separate box, so I will place the response here on top. This review is placed for the incorrect Capital Pawnshop... BUT...... I am leaving this review here, since they are part of the same chain their business practices may be shared from store to store... And if this store cares about their overall name and reputation, they should call the other store to tell them what they are doing is bad and unethical business practices... But just beware Pawn shops buying from them online in general..... If this issue gets resolved, i will then add the resolution or remove this post. So, Capital Pawnshop in Salem, call the Ashley in the Albany location and direct her to sell the unit as is, as agreed via the buya.com website. Thats all.... Konstantin I ordered an item through the buya.com website where the shipping cost was itemized and I accepted the price of he item and the shipping cost... I was then called back by the pawn shop called Capital Pawn in Albany, OR, where they decided that the shipping cost was over what they expected (possibly a mistake on their part, but i do not think so), and they called me with the excuse that they do not have a binding contract with me and they can cancel the order - which they did. In the meantime, i lost the same item that got sold that was equivalent to this item from a music store. In other words, i accepted the entire fee, and they stated that there is not binding contract with me, and they can cancel if they want. First time, I have ever had this happen with me.. And I feel, that they realize that the unit is worth more and decided not to sell it.. Or as a pan shop they found a higher price... I do not believe it was just the shipping cost which I believe $125 for this item is suffice... even if that is not true, they made the mistake in the shipping cost, and i should not have to pay for it by losing this sale, especially losing the other item that I could have bought from Music Go Round in Detroit area.. This is very deceptive, unethical, business, and i feel that they should honor the sale.... This is why pawn shops continue to get a bad name.. i even called up after to tell them to send only the instrument without the case, thus much less weight, to meet halfway on the shipping expenses, but they still refused. I feel that this is very underhanded and unethical business practice, and I hope that buya.com either forces them to sell the unit at the price agreed with both the case and the keyboard and shipping costs to me OR Remove them from the website and flag them as unethical business through their website. i will wait to see what buya.com does first, but this has been a very disappointing and stressful transaction with the manager of the store to say the least.

NEVER PAWN A FIREARM HERE!!!!Bad experience, capital pawn don t acknowledge the Brady law, I pawned a gun they kept it, under a a technicality that the Salem PD had a hold on my record for no reason (I have a clean record ), so they held my firearm indefinitely till they claimed I didn t want it, paid me $390 for a $1,700 dollar firearm, claiming I had to pay storage fees after I pawned it paid them over $650 and they held it , I paid it back in full Les than a month after pawning it , never ever pawn a firearm here anyone looking to, dont they ll keep your weapon and lie and hold it under false pretenses than sell it behind your back. As they did to me.

Having never been to a local pawn shop, I had no idea what to expect when I walked in. We had some old jewelry to get rid of and gave Capitol pawn a chance. They sold my son a coin set for $240 and had it appraised by a local reputable coin collecting business that said it s worth $10. When we told Capital Pawn of their sheisty deal they said there was nothing they would do even though we still had the receipt. Would not recommended this pawnshop to anybody, My wife and I have both tried to pawn several items here before such as gaming consoles, high end jewelry and firearms, each time left empty handed because they lowball you so hard the worst experience was when we tried pawning a $3,000 handgun at the shop and the gal working the counter tried to offer me $150 for it, and had no clue about firearms had no idea what she was even looking at.. typed the firearm model into her system and pulled a price based off a completely different model of pistol, she went and spoke to another employee about the handgun who never came over to inspect the handgun, he quickly told her to offer no more than $300 we walked out immediately Ive tried to gain their business several times and every single time we ve been in there I found myself disappointed in their customer service.

Just went in to buy 30 oz of silver but the guy I was working with was interrupted by co worker who was desperate to go to lunch. He left to help other customer because co worker had to go to lunch. No one helped me after that. I was just left high and dry. I will check state street pawn.

These guys are absolutely fantastic. I really needed help, and they went W A Y above and beyond to help as much as they could. That old stereotypical pawn shop mentality of taking as much with giving as little is just not the case here. They are extremely fair, and the next time I m adding a firearm to my collection, it s going to be purchased through them. No exceptions.
