I had the best experience here. We were greeted immediately on entering and helped right away. The gentleman that helped us was willing to explain how he was evaluating our jewelry and what tools he was using. He was friendly and professional and honestly I was shocked at what I was offered. I have only sold to the place close in that glitters and this place offered so much more and were way nicer to boot! They had everything too! Jewelry, sneakers, sunglasses, tools…check them out.

Poor communication. No reminder for a call on last day of payment. Then they put the product all on the floor and not call at all. JD fixed it once but then became not helpful at all. BUT BambI Is so bad. Not doing any business with them at all any more.

Among The USA Pawn and Jewelry locations, 82nd and Powell's location actually used to offer outstanding quality employees and wide selection of quality merchandise. Management had changed a couple years ago. Unfortunately, the customer service has suffered greatly. This has to be the most disheartening display of belittlement and dehumanizing ridicule I have ever encountered. The employees are condescending, degrading, and judgemental to customers whom are down on their luck and seeking a little extra cash to aid their situations. I'm very disappointed in the development of this establishment thus far. Shame.

High prices low inventory. They used to have a massive inventory and were pushing large volumes out the door no longer. Today its low volume high priced pawn shop. Today, new ownership seems to have changed it last couple of years. I have seen worse same idea except dirtier thats all.

Came here for a loan first they misgauge the diamond on my ring. Decided to do the loan against my better judgment and then I felt I was ripped off and Came back to get my ring less then an hour later and was still charged their exsorbent interest rate. I can understand if it was over 24 hrs but it was literally 45 mins. I will never do business with this company.

I went in today and got the best customer service in my books by far!!! I was helped by a girl named Taylor. And let me tell ya, she was the best. She helped my boyfriend, son and I out with getting a smart tv. She was very happy, had a smile on her face the whole time. She complimented me and just fell in love with my 2 month old. She was very efficient, caring, outgoing! Thank you Taylor DEFINITELY will be coming back for more purchases. You rock.

I had good experience in the past except this one t I me this female manager start rattling rules I had never been told all these years. She laptops have to be at least 50% charged otherwise they cannot make a loan. Before I just have to turn it on to show them. So she made me take it back. Also she says dont come like 15 mins before closing as she cannot do any loans. I dont see her as being busy at all. More like she wants to go home early instead of making money for her boss. Other than this woman, I like the rest of the staff.

Two days in a row Ive showed up around 10 minutes before closing and not only did they refused business and a potential customer for life but they turn me down told me to come back tomorrow and that it was too late in the night for them to start any new transactions. If I were to take a guess they are underpaid and not happy enough with their jobs and or management to work extra 5 minutes and or putting a little sacrifice to make a customer happy.

Excellent place to shop for your stolen property. Pretty sure they make a fortune off all the stolen property from the local storage places. If you find your stolen property, which is logged with a police report and they have the tools to locate, don t expect them to cooperate. These kinds of sellers are considered criddlers .

I made what seemed to be a great deal with the lady at the register, was going to trade in some nice Milwaukee tools for a tablet for my sons birthday today. She said in order to trade in the items, I would need to bring her the battery chargers for tools, and that the deal she was making me is only good today..?!? So, living just up the street, I ran home in the snow to pick up the extra battery and charger (another 75 dollars in value mind you) and drove all the way back in the snow, but, just as I pull up, at 6:30, some associate makes her way up, and locks the door. Signs all say closed at 7, employees are all just sitting around doing nothing. I even offered to shovel their cars out of the snow, if they could just, idk, stay open for their posted business hours. Anyways, Im sitting in the parking lot, trying to decide where to pick up a tablet for my kiddo, searching last minute deals online. Then Im gonna shovel the snow, dig my car out ... If their associates happen to come and ask to borrow my shovel or for help digging out...Im gonna tell them Id love to help them, but Im closed for business today. Id say it was just due to the snow, but yesterday when leaving WinCo I saw them in an altercation with someone else about closing time. Why give me the runaround for 1.5 hours like this was going to be something feasible, then last second slam the door in our face? Smh...

I have not personally bought anything from this place, however this review is absolutely warranted in the due diligence this company does in checking serial numbers to verify if it has been reported stolen. My work laptop was recovered and Im beyond happy that they were able to report this stolen item. Thank you so very much!

The customer service here is absolutely terrible. Came in today to get a gold chain for my pendant, and a worker was at the counter I was looking at. before I could ask for help she left and said she would be back to help me but instead left me standing there for 20 minutes while she continued to help other customers that were already being helped by other associates. Then continued to tell me she would be right over but never came back. So instead I spent my money at all that glitters and Im glad I did. Customer service is way better at all that glitters.

Ive never expirenced poorer service then I did during my last visit on 11-1. I went in looking to buy a new cell phone but after standing around for at least twenty minutes the 3 mobiles they had were all pin locked and completely worthless to anybody . I said why would you even buy these if theyre pond locked and the employee said because whoever did was an idiot. Then I was very interested in buying some jewelry. But again I stood at the jewelry display for whst seemed like 20 minutes and after hearing the lady I assume was the manager ask a clearly homeless lady for her ID if she wanted to look at anything she walked away without asking me bi needed help. Again another employee helps another customer then walked away. I had 2000 dollars in my pocket and was looking to buy Christmas gifts for my daughter granddaughter and mother and probably my spouse. I turned and walked away. Never assume to money in someones pocket, by there hair not being brushed and clothes dirty. I d just come off a 18 hour shift in my warehouse and store. I was tired dirty and hair a mess. But Ive been working 12 14 18 hour days and nights for months and I may look like hell, but Ive been making crazy amounts of money. Eat a d $^# USA pawn. You profiled me and f ed up royally .

I go in this place all the time and one thing I notice is when certain individuals are working they like to change the prices.. Buyer beware if theres no price tag on the item it will be a different price depending on what employee you ask and that is a pretty sketchy way to run a business if you ask me.

Omg! Never go to this or the one in Milwaukee. They are a pawn shop but the manager of this place thinks hes working at a Tiffanys. And just because people are down on their luck doesnt make them theives!! And I do not appreciate being talked down too.. I will never go here again. I called them to try and sell a CB radio setup. They said come on down. I got there and they said they never buy them. I left, and a guy outside told me they only buy easy to turn, stolen power tools and nothing else. Dewalt talks and everything else walks. Humorous in a horrible way. This is a fencing operation. Stay away and stick to internet sales if you re not a thief.

This is a great store! I have been doing business with this location for ten years and always have a great experience. They pay well if you have something to sell and the merchandise on their sales floor is reasonably priced. I recommend the USA Pawn at Powell Street Station and the brand USA Pawn in general above any other similar business in Portland.

Awesome pawn shop. The employees work hard and are all nice and respectable. They give fair prices for loans and are willing to push up the amount for you if you have good history with them. They ve helped me out in a bind many times and I m always happy to go there. They have many locations in the area and this is by far the best one.

My husband went in to pay off his loan and get his item back. They said they lost it. They told him they did an audit and it was gone. He didnt feel like they cared about the resolution. I dont know how you make a wedding ring lost right again.

I went to buy a chain last week to give away. Turns out I miscalculated the size. come back in 2 days and ask the store if they could change for a longer one and I would pay the difference on the price. They told me no. That they did not accept change and that they could not give me a solution. that they only offered me to buy the chain for 30% of what it cost me. I have the original receipt for $360 and they offered to buy as the only solution for $140. I dont recommend it at all. They take advantage of customers. This store is a shame

Though most pawn shops are not exactly known for their customer service, I have found that this location is different (for the most part). Of the five or so employees of whom Ive dealt with, only one of them was less then enjoyable. The manager (I wish I had remembered her name...) Was just amazing. Interacting with her was a pleasure and she seems to genuinely care that you get the best deal available. I now go to this pawn shop exclusively, and am better for it

I absolutely love this location. Mainly due to two associates, that seem to go above and beyond and they both have the best customer service outta any place Ive been to, especially lately. Andrew is absolutely great. Hes patient kind, helpful beyond words and offers exceptional customer service. Erin(I hope I spelled her name right) is funny makes me smile when I was crying due to another associate not wanting to really assist me. She turned the entire experience around for me and I couldnt thank her and Andrew enough. They both deserve raises in my opinion especially having to deal with thre people they have to right off 82nd and Powell... Not the best area... Thank you both though you made my year a bit better and with the loss of my father my daughter and just this last week the loss of my grandpa, Ive had an awful year...it was nice to be helped and to be able to smile from their help and assistance. My first pawn shop I ever been to and went yesterday 10/27/21 and I was the first customer in there at the time. I was looking for a nice gold chain for my daughter bday Friday and told her what I was looking for. She helped me for 2 mins got a phone call and took it to the back. She told me she would be rite back. She came out and 3 people walked in while I was waiting and she came back out five minutes later and didn t look at me and waited on the other people instead. I was gonna buy a gold chain I was looking at. I ended up walking out. I went to A-1 Hawk instead. Way better service and more to look at. If I could give this a 0 I would because I think that was very ignorant.

Pretty sure theyre smoking something funny cause their deals are a joke. Offered me 20 dollars on a 1000 watt 5.1 home audio system that brand new. Even with stickers and paint wear thats a bad joke. Bought my dried out, badly painted longboard for 25 dollars. Id know I painted it. Sells outdated consoles like their new and still receiving updates. They say offer up is a better deal. They might be right.

Katie helped me today but she has done many times in the past always with great service great smile and great knowledge of the products. She always does her best to give me a good price usually the price mark on the item is already a great price and I go with that this is a great store great people and will always remember the great owner that used to own it. Im not sure what the all high and mighty attitude that runs amongst the employees there is but it gives a bad vibe! Not only the great smiles and welcoming greeting when you walk in(sorry for my sarcasm) but I waited at the jewelry counter for at least 15 min. And then asked for some help. They said someone would be right over .......??? Well Im not sure when that was but it was not in the 25 mins. I was there.

I don t normally write reviews, especially of pawnshops, but this place was pretty awesome! I went in kind of looking at stereo stuff and maybe a cordless drill and ended up getting a sweet pair of beats, a watch, a brushless XR dewalt driver, and a multitool and a vintage Vietnam air corps survival knife. I might still go back for a computer I wanted too if its still there after payday. The place had a lot of, well everything, and I just started checking stuff out, the have the usual stuff like amps and guitars, stereos, video games (if you re lucky), and tools and computers, jewelry, you get it. I think what really made my day was this girl Kaytie or Kaytee or something, I know it was different. She was super nice and took the time to show me all the things I asked about. The watches were in the case, but she let me look at all of them and eventually helped me decide on the one I got when I couldn t make up my mind. When I got up to the counter with my armload of stuff, she was super thorough explaining the policies and whatnot, and when I asked if I could get a bundle discount she was able to work it out with the manager or whoever and got me a little lower, which was already about half what you would pay at a regular store, and it was all brand new looking anyway, except the knife which is the idea of vintage. I mean hey, it s off 82nd, so who knows, it might actually have been brand new. I asked about whether they get a lot of stolen stuff but she said they hold everything for at least a month or so to give the cops a chance to make sure it isn t stolen so I feel good about the whole thing all in all, and I guess they get to know how to spot it and which regulars are most suspect. Kickass place and kickass service, super glad I decided to drop in after WinCo! Shout out to Kaytie for making it easy!

Found several good deals. Some mislabeling and a broken product but they worked with me and I still feel like I got a great deal. Long wait one time but usually pretty quick in and out.

4 people in the store I waited almost an hour to get help ,none of their TVs were plugged in the ones that were had setup pictures on them The VizioI bought was a waste of my money & time Be sure to get that $5 protection plan .... Now 2 days later I dont have a TV and no way to get another one. Sound screams & now so do I . I have no way to watch without hearing ear piercing screech and being disabled I cant afford to buy a new one

Jackson!you need more of HIM! Its always a risk buying from a pawn shop, always have paper proof two for them to give you 24-hour notice. With that being said Jackson took his time and patiently helped me through the process of choosing an electronic item, even though there was a long line. You went above and beyond making sure everything worked. I understand the risk I took when buying this item but so far it work regardless if it doesnt work I really appreciate Jacksons customer service.

Was told to come in to look at the selection of rings if I wanted to know. They made sure to say sorry cant help you, come in if you want to know. The other location was much more helpful and nice. Im not going to drive miles to see if they have a gold mens claddagh ring. I will spend the money Id pay for the gas somewhere else that has better customerservice. Its not hard to find.

I got to the store/pawn shop at 6:40pm, called and was told they were closed. Now, online and on their door says 7PM. Whats nonsense is that the lady who told me that she could not let me in did let a guy in at 7PM while I sat in my car waiting for the heavy traffic to banish. I dont know who owner is but, if youre seeing this and your store does close at 6:30pm, then youll need to update your sign on doors and hours online and not let anyone else in at 7pm.

Went to look at jewelry and silver, asked the lady if there was someone the does sales because of the long line and everyone was holding something. I thought maybe they had someone else Seperate that does sales. Her response was like she believed l thought l was privileged which seems to be a thing here in Portland. Every heavy set white women Fat wants to be racist towards old white man, like if theyre paying us back for somethingwe didnt do. She could said , no we dont , sorrybut she wanted to make sure she spoke to me in a condescending manner , You have to be like everyone else stand in line. I wasnt trying to be different just asking so l could gage my time.

Do NOT do business with this USA Pawn on 82nd ave!!! We have bought lots of stuff, and sold stuff, in other words, we ve done a lot of business at there Milwaukie, branch, with no problems, but my Husband found a nice deal on a piece of musical equipment, he put it on lay away, he had went in to pay it off but had other errands to run that day and didn t want to leave it in the car while he goes in and out of other businesses, so the person working there said just leave a dollar left owed on it then you can leave it on lay a way longer, so he did that, then when my Husband returned to pick up his merchandise, which he was not late mind you, the guy said they sold it!!! My Husband was very upset of course! My Husband explained that he only owed 1 dollar and wasn t late , the guy said ( were not a storage facility) they didn t give my Husband one phone call asking him to pick it up, ... There is some honest pawn stores out there, but this one is very crooked!!!

Rude, if someone is looking for a product and you want to be rude about it thats on you. Your staff may be over worked but they dont need to be rude, your employee was so focused on his audit this morning that he informed me he was unable to sell me what I was looking at. Which is fine, his rudeness was a good indicator I should take my need for $1000 worth of music equipment to another business. Hal at Stuff on 82nd Ave has always treated me well. And his staff knows enough to not be the or Curt, and to put the customer first. It does not take much time to be polite. I wont be back.

A long time to wait for them to attend to you and then to be told that nothing can be done when I arrived. He greeted me with a bad face. Besides, there was no people at all and he still told me to wait for me at the door while more people arrived alone. I was there and then 4 more people arrived until they felt like they attended to us, what a terrible place to go to that place, the truth is, what a bad experience I hope that many people look at this and think before going there

Horrible theres always a long line, and then by the time you get to the front they give you a small amount thats not even worth it. The Pawn shop off Woodstock is better than this I broght 2 DVD players into this location and they offered me $5, I took it to the Pawn shop off woodstock and he offered me $15. Went to this pawn shop to trade in my phone spent over 20 min in line then they said I needed Wi-Fi for my phone so I went down the street to the bar and got Wi-Fi to set up my old phone for them. After that I went back to the pawn shop and was in line for about another 20 min just looking for 30 or 40 bucks for my old phone. All that time waiting to get up to the counter for them to tell me my phone is now damaged lol we dont take broken phones sir lol. Thanks for nothing really hope these people are not making over mim wage and is a great example of why people dont deserve a hire mim wage.

Very rude customer service. In person or over the phone. Other locations maybe ok but this place needs to be shutdown or hire new employees thats kind nice and better customer service skills. Definitely the two larger women working in there needs to go because they are very rude and picky about who they are being rude to. Older large white lady and a younger large black lady very rude individuals. Technically the whole USA pawn shop are in business to scam and get over on folks.

Rude staff but they weren t rude to me. I think they are selective about who they are rude to. If you go in showing any hostility, they obviously aren t afraid to show some back. I went in with a respectful demeanor and attitude and got the same in return but I did see how they treated other customers. I don t support selling to pawn shops and usually I don t buy from them solely for the fact they don t pay people fairly for their items and this place holds true to that. I sold them a kit lens. They would only give me $35 but they re trying to sell it for $80. I say go to offerup/let go/fb market/craigslist BEFORE selling or buying from ANY pawn shop. The prices are negotiable when you want to buy and you get a fair amount of money when you sell your stuff. A pawn shop is gonna do what s best for them so they ll buy your stuff for a penny and turn around and sell it for a hundred which only screws everyone but them.

Every time I go in there,there is no one around to help!!! The prices are great but they need to work on customer service I have walked out every time Ive went wanting to buy items but got tiered of waiting more than 15 min without engagement from any of the staff you say can someone come help me over here and they say we will be right there and forget about you. like I said AMAZING PRICES and I keep going back hoping it will get better but it hasnt.

This company made me look for the zero star rating. They lost my gun in the legal system. Not only that they didn t even attempt to compensate me fairly. I ve done business with thousands of businesses in my life but my experience with them was the worst of the worst. Don t make the same mistake I did. Take your business elsewhere. Don t become a part of their bad karma.

This place is a rip off. They have a USED jbl link 10 for 90. Best buy its 100 new. Like really ? 10 bucks off? Then the fat black lady was rude and said then go to best buy. Very rude and highly recommend you go elsewhere. The whole crew today was so rude..

Went to buy an anniversary gift. Walked in and no one greeted. Saw something I was trying to buy and patiently waited for her to finish helping the guy next to us. She never said she would be a right with us or showed any intrest in showing us. My two year old grabbed a 25 cent decoration and rearranged it the worker then rudely told my daughter to not play with the decorations. I pawned my wedding ring, the girl helping me said my Center diamond was fake!! So I told her to give it back to me because it was not fake then she tested the diamond and it was REAL!!! Seriously she was rude about the whole transaction! This place has some of the most unprofessional employees Ive ever delt with in any customer service situation!!!

What a miserable atmosphere. They enjoy yelling at customers & telling them to leave or be arrested. Not at first, but after they have your items.... they even complained they always get hostile phone calls. hmmm wonder why ^_^ They damaged my music equipement & kept over $1750.00 worth of gear because I lost my pink slip. Go to a locally owned pawn shop & be treated much better <3 I can buy new gear, but theyre stuck in that terrible room of misfortune. i feel sorry for them. The district manager Erik Evans is VERY unprofessional and cut me off everytime I tried to speak. Hes the type of person thats in a constant state of denial and says something then denies he said it right afterwards and actually believes it. This whole system is set up to steal your items and confuse. This is a corporate business with 1400 stores. They do not care about you.

Just witnessed a hilarious encounter at the pawn shop in which a guy whom i thought i recognized as a former professional basketball player for the portland Trailblazers, is selling his microwave. He wants $ 15 they bid 10, finally they settle at 12. But then they cant test it, its too late in the day. All employees have already eaten lunch, there is no food on site. Then they are scrambling in the the back office trying to find some microwave popcorn that as is turns out, the store manager keeps under lock and key. I want to help of course so i offer up a chocolate rice Krispy treat i had in my backpack. Other customers are in line or browsing, but this bizarre transaction has the full attention of everyone on the showroom floor. What could have been a deal breaker (when they opened its door ) was worth its weight it shock value. In his rush to have one last meal with it and arrive before closing , the seller had accidentally forgotten to clean it, apparently ever. Still warm, they decided to operate under the theory that probably it works fine. Definitely a win-win. A++ Highly recommended

Special shout out to their Store Manager Ben Johnson, and J.D. The whole customer service vibe made you feel like they valued you as a customer, and not just a transaction. I highly recommend them!

I needed a $20 loan but thats not the point. I was referred to this place as somewhere that excepts anything of value, WRONG! I brought in a pair a completely brand new 700c Wheels still wrapped never mounted. (Yes the were built) I paid $80 dollars for the pair but theyre worth $225 And, they refused to even check the value meaning they not only fail to understand the bike market in Portland (which is retarded) but they lost the chance to gain a new customer.

This place is so much better under the new ownership. I had visited the USA pawns in the Portland area a few dozen times over the past 4 years, and until recently I was always unimpressed. The new ownership has really made the attempt to reform all the bad habits and displays that were the constant normal before. Ive always find it pretty tacky when employees say we want to be best, but these people might actually mean it.

Sold me a laptop that was supposed to be brand new in the box it was opened and damaged 32 hours later I go to return it they say I only have 24 hours to return a defective product mean whIle I have 2 employees talking down to me almost yelling getting aggressive so now Im stuck with a broken completly broken and useless laptop and out 300 dollars I ask? I guess I had t pick one star! It would be 5 - minus stars. I brought in hundreds of dollars worth of jewelry....NEVER have EVER been arrested or stole a thing in my life!!!!! They accused me of stealing MY OWN JEWLERY OFF THE COUNTER!!! THEY LOST MY NECKALACE!!! I DIDNT STEAL FROM MYSELF!!! I grabbed my ID off the counter you idiot!!!! The nasty bearded employee (supposedly the manager) would not give me a loan after that and threatened to call the police on me for it!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME! The girl that was helping me was very nice....but obviously was coaxed by the nasty bearded employee!!! I will never pawn anything again in my life! This was the WORST experience of a pawn shop I have ever encountered! YOU WILL BE HEARING FROM MY LAWYER! The LARGE lady also threatened to call the police...because I was crying and completely embarrassed!!! WOW!

New ownership, new staff... Last time I went in was a week ago and I was impressed! The staff even gave me MORE loan that before... where I had actually had to argue and call a manager to assist. I have been in and out of this store over the past 7 years and never felt like I walked away with something till now. I have to say, I mentioned to the staff about the reviews and the past... and they were sad to hear those experiences. I felt genuine to the members and I admire the time they took to talk to me, not just say, yea, we give you 5 dollar. I was always angered asking for a loan when you are offered 1/10 of the resale value... I am glad to see new staff and owners, I always loved going to lil shops to find nick nacks or a new hobby, or something used I cant afford new. there should always be an AVG drop in price from buying a used item, and yes, you be lucky if you get 30-50% of what THEY would resell it at, which would be around 50% of the asking original price... so you basically get jipped for those who dont have a choice. Last time I went in I didnt feel this way, an that was honestly the first time. I love this lil pawn shop!

Very low ballers offering $15 for my $550 monitor while the other store offered me $50 but I did not have the cord and had to drive home and get it but the 82nd location was closer, then they said they could do $30 after I told them the other store said $50.00 My computer monitor blew anything they had for computer monitors

Under new management. Line going out the door to offer $0.25 per DVD and less on some of the blue rays because they look up the going selling price and give you 1/3 of that. We were offered $15 for about 50 blue rays and dvds, mostly blue rays. They were taking people out of line for faster transitions. There was a lady next to us that had waited more than 30 mins for them to FIND her items. My husband decided to put a tool on layaway. They sold it and wont refund the money down. They are now cheap and unorganized and steal. Weve been regular customers for almost and 5 years now, well find a new place.

I pawned my gun there and had one of the worst business experiences in my life. The made a mistake and lost my item in the legal system. They insulted me with an offer of pennies on the dollar and did not fully insure my item. All i can do is warn others to get my compensation. Dont make the same mistake i did. They do not value their customers. Hope you dont make the same mistake i did.

I would have given it 5 stars but could only give it 4 because when I went in for the first time I was told that if I got separate tickets it was going to be the same price as if I got one ticket come to find out after I was issued those tickets theres actually a minimum finance charge for each one so it is not cheaper but other than that great things about them are A. They always offers the most for the items I take a loan out on. I know this because I always call around about something new I want to pawn to find out whos going to give me the most money loaned out on the item. & B. There is no other pawn shop I know of is open 12 hours a day 9am to 9pm. C. Most importantly the employees are always friendly.

The manager was just plane rude! I went in with my parent and he told us he thought it was stolen so my parent has to take responsibility. He made it sound just mean and ruined my day. Thanks alot for nothing.

I took my laptop in here with a full battery and when I retrieved it, the CAPS LOCK key wasnt working, the battery was drained, and there was a strange blue box on the screen. Be forewarned, if you bring your laptop in here, more than likely it is NOT sitting on the shelf as they claim and someone is probably using it...
