The USA Pawn on Stark, right off of 181st in Gresham has a very good swing shift crew. Morning crew maybe a bit rude sometimes but the afternoon closing crew on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 was awesome. Their customer service skills are far superior to most and really know how to relate to different customers situations. That crew has really found a good balance between smart business and empathy for the customer. Great job. I am thoroughly impressed.

I bought 2 55in TV's for a family members new home. The first night they hooked up one and it had a completely shattered screen. The second TV will not stay on for more that 10 minutes at a time and is just sitting unusable in the corner at their house.
I also bought a ring that I was told was gold with diamonds. When I took the ring to be cleaned 2 days later I found out that the so called diamonds were all zircon. I tried to bring the items back 2 days later and was told that despite the misrepresentation from their employee all sales were final and I could not get any money back for the TV's or the ring! I've spent a lot of money on jewelry at this location and now I have to get it all checked out! I don't know if its new management or what but there is no customer appreciation or value here at all anymore! They now sell garbage as if they have no conscience!

Such a bad store. They are scamming you when it comes to getting any money. Most of the time their offers dont ever extend above $100 no matter what it is you bring in. Ive turned around multiple times due to how they low-ball you.

I had brought in a few items in diamond jewelry form Kay jewelers in its original packaging. Absolutely horrible customer service from Justin when he was viewing and handling my jewelry. He started poking my Kay Jewelry Diamonds with a writing ink pen and just tossed my jewelry back in the box after giving an estimate that I said no that wasn t going to work. Didn t look at any of the other items and was very rude. I get home to open my jewelry box to see he didn t put my jewelry back as it was when I presented it to him in which it got damaged and it became tangled. Called back to inform and if there is a process for when employees damage items that they are viewing. Aron a gal said no. Very condescending as well. When I asked for upper management on how they would go about it she had no idea how to assist me but only offered abrasively that I could go back and they would fix it. Not sure how you can fix it when you lacked the decency in properly handling someone items. A complete lack of integrity when handling people s property. Absolutely not ok and will be taking this interaction to cooperate. Treat others people things as you would want others to treat yours when coming in to get an estimate.

VERY DECEPTIVE: Went in to make partial payment. 34 days before due date. They did not tell me by doing that it would extend contract (i did not ask to have contract extended ) and I would have to come up with a additional $90. Over original contract price.Went back in when I realized what they did. 1 hour latter. At this point I decided to just pay loan and get rings back. I had to pay $50 over original contract price and I was 34 days ahead of original contract.

I have been a customer of USA Pawn & Jewelry for over 5 years and have always, ALWAYS, been treated with respect and kindness. The staff are always smiling and seem to enjoy their work place. My loans are fairly provided and they are always letting me know that if I have any questions or problems that come up to not hesitate to call or come in and talk to them. I will never go anywhere else. Since the moment I walked in I knew I could trust that my jewelry of 20+ years would be safe when I faced hardship and needed a loan. One of the best pawn shops expierences Ive ever had in my life I only stopped out of curiousty & didnt plan to sell it here honestly & figured Id get the lowest offer being the only pawn stop I had taken it too but was pleasantly suprised whith the sell & pawn offers.. Ive done a lot of business at usa pawn over the years & have a pretty good track record with them to so individual expierences may vary slightly but after spending days gathering offers on my gold all over town I was offered a loan on my gold jewelry at nearly nearly full melt value & their offer to buy it was a little less but still the best cash offer I had gotten anywhere.. I couldnt believe I was offered more money here at a pawn shop no less then every single jewler or gold dealers in town that I visited.. UNHEARD OF BUT TRUE Ive always got great deals here & picked up some of my favorite toys waiting in line to pick up my pledges.. Depends on who you deal with like everywhere else but I usually get decent customer service & relatively fair offers on everthing I have ever brought in here but today a man by the name of Justin really surprised me with his excellent customer service and not only his patience but also the effort he put into working with me to put a deal together for an impulse buy on some sound equitment I felt like I needed in my life even tho Ive spent less money on more then one decent daily driver... I wouldnt normally suggest taking your precious medals to any pawn shop but after today I will see what Im offered at USA pawn on stark before selling any gold or silver... I was considering taking a 308$ offer from a gold buyer too but good thing I stopped here at USA Pawn on stark tho because 475$ beats 308$ all day everyday..

Been going here for years never had a problem super nice staff awesome customer service but the manager is very unprofessional went to redeem my ticket on a firearm I got a loan on after I already submitted and passed my background check so Im good to go well thats not the case USA pawn employee a woman says I have to go get my Manager for this she comes back and tells me are systems are down and it will be awhile before a firearm can be redeem so I bite my tongue ask for the corporate # and leave as a manager thats week dude couldnt even come tell me what the deal is to my face so I cant redeem my firearm and Im left in the dark but Im in contact with corporate to be continued..............

Ive bought over $1,000 worth of stuff from USA Pawn. I drove out of my way to revisit this location and theyve gone completely downhill. They were all up my @ss following me when everything is locked up behind glass counters. I couldnt even look at the instruments because the guy was breathing down my neck, like not even a foot away. They dont carry any drums anymore, you cant look at the specs on the laptops, you cant inspect any items for damage and functionality or look up how much an item cost online because its all locked up and you cant look at the model number. I wont be coming back to this location, it used to be great for used laptops and music equipment. Not anymore.

Do not go here. They hire the most backwards people of all time and do not update them on the EVER changing laws surrounding form 4473 and all types of gun laws. The larger woman with the blonde hair clearly didnt know what she was doing and now I am unable to buy back a firearm of mine that I had to pawn in a time of need due to an address change EVEN though my address is updated on the DMV website and was the same when they PAWNED the firearm for me. Find a better and more reputable place to go and for god sakes ask to speak to a man instead of ANY of the women here. Got wrong answers from every single one lol such a joke.

There will come a time in the lives of most folks where circumstances will dictate it necessary: be it a karmic debt from a past life, a learned, totally normal means of survival, or just that banks won t let you open a checking account because you re a skittish chihuahua, to look outside normal financial avenues for some proverbial palm grease. Everyone, who s ever graced one of these cherished institutions, knows that transactions that occur within these hallowed walls have the very real potential of being a little more colorful than simply entering your local credit union to renew purchase your Oregon Ducks checks in person (sigh... because you tried the website on your phone like thirty times but it keeps freezing at checkout) which you re (not so) secretly excited about whipping out casually in full view of the entirety of the office personnel in the hopes of impressing, (and subsequently)-winning the heart the new front desk gal (13 years your junior-(who s stated gender preference on their social media page is just a picture of you, really just trying your best at [insert literally -any- verb] with a slash drawn through it))... but you aren t 100% sure Chipotle takes personal checks. You can t imagine any other scenario than the one that no-one else can: *that once she lays her baby blues on your highly, but not at all-personalized taste in checks, all of that non-sense about you, as a whole person, being the antithesis of someone s sexual preferences will fall away like a greased up exo-skeleton (you hope she s still as pretty without that exo-skeleton) and you can finally not have to lie about this story to whatever coworker you trapped and possibly bored-to death-because, unbeknownst to you, you re an energy vampire. No... transactions rarely go like that, actually. It can get quite lively. Trust this Chihuahua when I assert, into the universe-loud and proud, that as possibly corporate-but, at minimum, a franchise of sorts, that there exists no other Maybe corporate, definitely franchised pawn broker on earth who can compete with these Maybe corporate, definitely franchises pawn brokers. Some adjectives and/or descriptive phrasing I d use for them: slightly above average-(in the right direction), occasionally gruff, but deeply love-able, rarely moist on the inside... I mean the building/s (also, moist in a bad way), and/or almost never to be found putrefying under a murderous sun, or-at least on purpose. Having taken on new ownership & management of sorts, the energy has improved dramatically from my last remembered excursion... I will say of my own volition-though, the new manager was nice enough to let me in at the strike of close, to buy back an item of such value, that I would have been in trouble with my now ex-wife, has it not been bought back. If you know pawn brokers in busy parts of town, you know getting let in after a door lock for close is akin to being asked to sire their only child. That is to say, I felt awash with a mixture of pride, bewilderment, ancestral honor, a questionable stirring in the loins, and a bit of Candid Camera mistrust-like god they-selves picked you out to chat you up at a bar, alone, and maybe it got a little creepy, but you re so flattered and it s just a great story... They new manager gave me the chance of a lifetime, and only asked, that I write a little review about it. Here it is. They also psychically convinced me to by a Moog synth off the shelf in blind faith. To the intrepid crüe of USA Pawn on Powell in Portland, Oregon. You are the very best intrepid crüe of a maybe corporate, definitely franchised pawn shop in all of Western Oregon, maybe the known universe, multiverses, dimensions, and the veil. So rude. Acted like I was having an issue when, I wasnt having an issue about using my ID to get an estimate that wasnt over the phone. I wasnt even mad. That attitude towards me made me I had zero issues until he acted like I was annoyed about the no estimates when I had more then just a 600 dollar laptop top to pawn where ally hey would make was profit. told me to start acting like like an adul when I told him he didnt have to be rude and assume I was having an issue with it. He made it an issue. There are litterly other pawn shops. What a jack***

I got a $100 loan on an iPad 7, a 2nd gen Apple Pencil, and an expensive folio case. When I put the items in, I was told I had 30 days after the date on the ticket to pay, I couldn t get it out when it came due and renewed it, I came in today to pick it up when the renewal became due and was told all my items were gone and sold because I missed the ticket date by 30 days. Confused and frustrated I asked what about the 30 day grace period you told me I had?! And the man helping me rudely informed me that there was no 30 day grace period, I told him but no one had told me that, and any other pawn shop stamps the tickets no 30 day grace if there isn t one on my ticket, to which he replied they didn t have to tell me or put it on the ticket. This was the worst customer service and company policy I have ever heard of, I feel completely scammed I didn t even have a chance to retrieve my items and the iPad had photos of a loved one who passed away that now I can never get back because of this. You need to do better by your customers and teach your employees some customer service skills. I will never work with your company again or make another purchase from your company again.

This place is amazing! The employees are super friendly especially the manager Kim, she is the best. I appreciate their kindness and patience when showing jewelry so I visit the store very often and always leave it satisfied and with goodies .

I love going to USA pawn. There s always a good deal going on. I ve bought most all of my camera equipment from this company I deal with a lot of their locations. This one in Gresham is the best. The associates are the greatest helpful and always about the customer service. Thank you for always going above to help us.

I love this store. I ve been coming here for a couple of years and I ve gotten to know all the employees here. Some have moved on to higher up positions and some have moved to other locations and are missed but Ray is doing a phenomenal job as the store manager. Kim has really great customer service and is so friendly and helpful. Jason has always been really great to work with too. They ve given us fair prices and have helped us out tremendously. I will always look here first to buy something that I think there s a chance of them having before buying new and paying full price and happy to give them my business. I will say that I haven t had any good experiences with their Powell location. Thank you Gresham store for always making me feel welcome! Shannon Sprague

One of the worst pawn shops I have ever been to in my life they say on their advertising on tv you can get a loan on just about anything THATS NOT TRUE BECAUSE I HAD A RADIO NICE AND WALKY TALKYS AND THEY WOULD NOT EVEN GIVE ME A $10.00 LOAN ON THEM SO THEY LIE.ALL THEY DO IS LIE ITS NOT EVEN WORTH ONE STAR TO BE HONEST WHICH THEY DONT KNOW HOW TO BE HONEST.

My friend Jasmine works here, so I stopped by to see her and to check out there selection. Ended up walking out with a nice 10ky opal and diamond ring for only $112 (originally priced at $189). Also bought my husband a Nintendo Switch game that was originally $15 but I got it for $12. If anyone in this store can cut you a deal on some incredibly nice things, it s Jasmine and the manager Raymond! Everyone there was super friendly, and they had an incredibly nice selection of jewelry, TV s, tools, etc. If you do stop by, be sure to ask for Jasmine! She ll work with Raymond and get you the best deal possible!

Came in to USA Pawn to pick up my fire arm after I came in to pay off the loan I got for it... The clerk accidentally marked my background identification as a drivers license INSTEAD of a regular photo ID. As a result, the background check I was doing was canceled by the state of Oregon after seeing the mistake... I then came back into the store after finding out all of this, and the manager ashlee approached me and asked if there was anything I needed.. I told her what had happened, and she proceeded to take control over the situation. She figured out how the mistake was made, corrected it, promised that my troubles were over. She waited for my background check to come back, helped me pay my remaining bill, and gave me my property.. These guys at USA pawn for the most part, are really great. Mistakes can be made, but we are all human. I recommend this place! And I highly recommend Ashlee.

The employee put chemicals or something to damage what I showing. I was watching her handle it but in some moment when she was walking around with it, she did something. I cant think of why, besides wanting to offer me less for it. She never even mentioned a mark or anything. And we both saw it in great conditions. She thought it was in great condition. I was just trying to get a loan for it because I never wanted to sell it. I checked it multiple times before I entered the store. To make sure it was nice, clean, and good condition. And I returned to my car after declining what they offered, I went to look at it again. And I saw the horrible mark. I promise you it was not there before entering the store, nor during her inspection of it. I truly have no idea at what moment this happened. Just before she gave it back? Right after the inspection? When she was offering her low price? Very sad. But Im glad I had the option to walk away and not too bad in dire need for a loan. I just feel bad for others going in there in more desperate need. Please take care of yourself, and make sure you take some pictures of your item before you go in. And watch closely how they handle it. I just pray and hope no one gets hurt by this just horrible tatic. I truly believe they do this when you bring in something good so they can give you such a horribly low price later. Or maybe its something they do when you tell them no. Its terrible. May God bless you all, and I hope for better days in whatever position you are in. And may God open up those who work in this store hearts to be kinder.

Really hard to buy things there,most of the employees argue about electronics and are very slow. I was born in Portland and come back after 9 years of backpacking and this is like trying to buy something in California!

Wasn t told when I did the Loan so I needed to go get cash. Whatever that s every annoying that they have not one sign stating that. then they give me my change in coins like what the hell you deal in cash but you don t have cash!? And when I asked for a receipt for my records I was told I didn t need one and I would ve gotten one if I needed one. Well I wanted one. Won t be doing business here again and wouldn t recommend it.

I was totally interested in a guitar 4x12 cab. I asked about their policy concerning returns. In order to get cash back you have to pay a fee upfront. I asked if I could open up the cab to make sure that the speakers are correct for that make of cab... a perfectly reasonable request. I was told that they dont have the tools to be able to open it for me? Thats a lie... its a pawn shop and they have every tool known to humanity, and worse, it means they dont verify the speakers are original when someone brings them guitar cabs to hock. Sure, speakers might work but that doesnt mean its the right make. The fact I have to pay cash for some sort of insurance when they are selling a product theyve never verified as authentic is unethical. What else is not worth bothering to do?

USA pawn is the biggest theaf in the pawn buissnes today.I pawned a item for 100$,two months later paid the interest for another two months, When we saw my payday was a day past the dead line,,we called to make sure it would be ok.THEY SAID NO PROBLEM, or we would have paid the interest again.So when I got my gear back,Wich was all brand new,,THEY TOOK IT OUT OF THE BOX TOOK PARTS OFF IT,IT WAS SCRATCH,DENTED,AND WORTH AT LEAST 150$ LESS THAN THE ORIGINAL VALUE.I asked them to please make it right.they told me to leave the store.and dont be late on your ticket next time.Ya theres nothing I can do about it but not give them my business,AND IF YOUR A PERSON WHO CARES ABOUT THE VALUE OF CUSTOMER SERVICE,STAND FOR NOT LETTING BIG BUISSNES JUST TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE CUSTOMER,Be smart dont give your business to USA PAWN.

They had a decent variety of various things for sale (bikes, fishing poles, jewelry, etc.) but I couldnt get anyone to assist me, I couldnt get a hello, we will be with you in a moment. I couldnt even get them to give me eye contact. There was only two other customers, neither of which were being assisted and there were three employees behind the counter. I guess they didnt want a sale.

If I could give a NEGATIVE review, I would. And I complained to Better Business Bureau. THESE PEOPLE ARE RUDE AND DISHONEST! They told me my item was 14k, then give me the price of 10k. Then refused to re-test it for me. They have told me it was not gold, but then two other shops told me it was. They are not flexible and do not care about their customer. When I complained that interior pieces of my locket/ jewelry were missing (making it non-functional) when I paid my loan and picked it up, they kicked me out of their store. USA PAWN ARE NOT GOOD BUSINESS, HAVE NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS - THEY ARE THEIVES!

I came in and it was very unorganized and asked for info on TV and the guy was upset I didnt want to spend more than 115 on a TV and when I asked for the power cord to a projector they were selling he didnt want to look for it said there might not be one and then said if you come back with more budget they would be more willing to help you

Bought a Xbox here when i was 13 years old spent half a year saving my money and they sold me a Xbox The a system that couldnt read disks i attempted to bring it back and they said i broke it and it was my doing....... complete scam place would buy anything from here ever straight scum. oh btw they reviews on good are fake if anyone is dumb enough to give them 5 stars calling them honest...they are honestly the worst place i have ever been...who the hell rips off a 13 year old boy...

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Im surprised there are so few great reviews, every time my fiancé or I have gone in to pawn something we get GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE and loans higher than any other pawn shop would offer. I drive an hour and a half round trip out of my way just to go to this place. Check them out for yourself.

I would have given it no stars if I could have. Where to start with man what a bunch of stellar class acts these guys are. First they have me waiting in line for45 minutes at 4:00 on Sunday June 26 2016. Then when I get to the counter they pretty much hurry new out the door because they wanna close. Doesnt give me wouldnt even look at my stuff to Hyde me legitimate offer. And gave me ridiculously low balling numbers on ps4. Pretty much didnt want to do theyre pathetic little jobs a trained money could do because it was closing time. Pick any one other then this sorry excuse for pawn shop. Dont waste your time trust me

They left me on hold for 20 minutes why I asked for a 2 day extension. By that time I was able to pawn my gun at Silver Lining and had the money to pay USA pawn. Slow Slow Slow and no help at all. No thanks.

This is my favorite pawn shop in Portland. As long as you arent a rude arrogant asshat they treat you with respect. The only time Ive ever seen the staff be rude is when a customer acts like they should be kissing the ground they walk on and when customers act like they should be getting top dollar for trash. This place has always done me right and Ive never had any problems with them.

Ive never had an issue with this shop. Yeah, some stuff is a tad high in price. But then again....some stuff is priced quite low. All stores-not just pawn shops-are like this. I bought one guitar for a little over $100 that on ebay is $350 used. When Ive taken stuff to pawn theyve given me great service. Ive never had them extremely low ball me. Theyve always been helpful and kind.

Absolutely honest and amazingly knowledgeable about all items in the store. They are willing to fairly negotiate. Bought several tools from them and was warned of tools with problems and what the problems were. I will continue good business with this kick ass shop. Anyone with a bad review on this business is just a retarded shithead that has the typical diy, hater mentality that spending $5 makes you a VIP big spender. Your not. Your a cheap ass that thought youd get one over on someone and didnt.
