Terrible management and give no reason for not access to online banking. Due to this post thru locked me out of my account. Punitive and illegal tactics. They won't fix anything over the phone and are requesting I show up in person. They won't even call me for virtual appointments. Terrible bank bit nice customer service workers. Just evil upper management.

Kevin Moon, a mortgage officer at Unitus, is an incredible lender for folks beginning their home-buying journey. My partner and I are first-time home-buyers, and we knew we wanted to work with a credit union since they are non-profit financial institutions and have a closer connection to understanding and serving the various financial needs of the community. We couldn't be happier with choosing Unitus, and Kevin was extremely attentive, available, and active in guiding us through buying a house for the first time. In addition to working with us with grace and compassion as we filed our application, Kevin made himself available during the holidays since we started the closing process in mid-December. For any questions we had during after-hours and weekends, Kevin was only a text away. Couldn't recommend Kevin enough, especially for younger homebuyers who are looking for someone with competence, understanding, and accessibility.

I really appreciated all the help from Steve H. at the Beaverton Unitus branch. He was very friendly, kind, professional and supportive to me as I have been dealing with a compromised bank account. He helped me close one account and open a new account. He was patient and answered all my questions. Kudos and thank you so much Steve!!

Very disappointed in how this credit union handles close accounts. Yes, I know my account had a negative balance. I went and took care of it but they closed all of my accounts including my credit card. And now they talk to me like I’m a financial delinquent when I’ve never missed a payment on a single credit card or loan payment But had a negative balance of $100 in my checking account. I made arrangements to settle the amount with the understanding that it would take two weeks because I was undergoing employment changes and that’s why the negative occurred. They made it seem very very fine and all OK. Easy to fix . All lies…really really sad about the whole situation. I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere in the future. Damages my credit over 100bucks. I had to find out from a credit report, alert that all of this happened while I was trying to deal with the passing of my grandmother as well

Omar Cazares-Alvares was nothing short of AMAZING! We were having trouble getting my husband verified-and he stayed with us on the phone the entire time, walking us through each step until the process was complete. Once done, I had a few follow up questions, he was so personable-answering each question and taking his time to explain each answer. I am always satisfied with the customer service I receive as a long time member of Unitus, but Omar really hit it out of the park today. Thank you so very much Omar!

I'm relatively new to Unitus. I joined because I had enough of my old bank and my brother is a member and he's happy with them so I figured I'd give it a shot. I don't have a single complaint. They've helped with anything and everything I've needed. I had a boatload of questions about a loan I applied for (never taken a loan out before) and Omar was able to answer every question I had in a simplified, easy to understand way. Which I greatly appreciate because I barely know anything about money outside of work direct deposits money into my account and then I can spend that money. So having someone clearly very knowledgeable and with the ability to dumb it down for me was a huge help!

Do not bank here! Their fraud prevention is a joke. I was a fraud victim. I caught it on my own, notified their fraud department while the charge was still pending. They allowed it to go through anyhow, cancelled my card, informed me I had to wait 7-10 business for a new one, or pay $60 to have it sent express mail. Im not certain what they expect me to do as far as making purchases goes, but Im left to figure this out on my own. This institution is less than helpful. Take your business elsewhere!

DRIVE UP ATM Dispenses cash in $1s, $5s, $20s, $50s - The newer bank location off 3215 SW Cedar Hills Blvd next to Oswego Grill is the only drive up, and drive through ATM in town that Ive seen that distributes cash in $1s $5s $20s and $50s ... so fancy and convenient, especially for disabled people and during harsh weather. You can even choose which bills you want. Easy to reach the control pad out your driver side window, newer ATM machine. Although I dont currently bank at Unitus, they partner with my small credit union, so thankfully no ATM fees for now. Otherwise no drive-up teller window, used to be a B of A prior, sits in large shared shopping center with lots of parking. Ive also seen these modern ATMs inside the entry way at other Unitus branches.

The new location is right in the middle of the crammed traffic of Cedar Hills. There is no drive through, just a drive up ATM. Inside there is no table or pen for when you need to deal with actual paperwork. The only time i really HAVE to come to the bank is when I have checks or need a teller. I really like Unitus, but I hate the new location.

Ive been with Unitus for about 14 years, and absolutely love them! Pretty much any interaction with any customer service rep, any loan, Etc has been quick and easy. Ive lived around the country and World and have never been able to find another bank is that I like as much as them. Highly recommend them to everyone!

I called Unitus today to ask if I could get a cashiers check from another credit union thats out of state and was told I could do this in any branch location. I had done this here before as well several years ago. I drove to the branch to be promptly told they havent done that since the beginning of the year. I wasted an hour of my time because the person answering the phone didnt have accurate information.

Personally, I recommend the bank, all the staff are friendly, I had a good experience with Ángel. He can help you in Spanish. Here you can get loans with SSN and ITIN.

I was referred to this credit union by my Lawyer after she had contacted a few credit unions to inquire about trust accounts. The customer service representative informed her that I could open a Trust account same day, which is why my lawyer recommended them to me first. I gave them a call to ask if I needed to schedule an appointment for opening the account and was told No you dont need to schedule an appointment, you can just walk right in So I did just that. These were both very important things for me since we had funding for the account coming about 5 days later. I went near the end of day, about 3:30pm on a Tuesday. They were busy in the drive through, but had 2 people being helped by tellers & 2 people being helped in bankers offices. I told the teller I needed to open a trust bank account to be met with a blank stare and a condescending You need to schedule an appointment The teller continued to be rude and condescending the rest of the encounter. The earliest appointment they had was a week later on the 8th. I scheduled it in case I couldnt open another account somewhere else sooner. The next day I went to OnPoint, with no appointment, didnt call them ahead of time to schedule or even check. I even went at the same time of day. They told me they could open it today as long as I had all the paperwork and could wait. The banker who helped me dropped what he was doing to help me and let me know he would rather stay late to finish his work if that meant helping me today. They sat me down with some water and 5 minutes later I was opening the account. The next week when the appointment with Unitus came and went they didnt even bother calling to see if I was running late or needed to reschedule. Terrible customer service with rude tellers and reps are all over the place with out of date or inaccurate information. Took my business else ware and I am much happier.

This credit union is worse than the big banks. They will nickel and dime you to death, including opening an account and if your account is dormant they have the gaul to want to charge $5 a month.

This was a huge relief because it allowed me to secure the car I was planning on purchasing in a timely manner. He was also personable and friendly and made a typically stressful experience much more pleasant just by his demeanor. I was in a time crunch and needed funds from a large check deposit to be available asap. I explained my situation to Angel, so he worked to get approval and was able to have the funds made available immediately. I have always enjoyed my interactions with the crew at the Beaverton branch, but this was especially above and beyond for me. Highest recommendation.

A week ago I went to Unitus bank to open a new account for my business. I didnt know I was going to wait at the bank because someone recommended it to me and they told me that they provide great service in Spanish, which is something very important to me. They reminded me of Feliciano Cruz. I made an appointment online. Which was super easy to do, it took me 2 minutes to make my appointment. The next week I went to the bank with my son. We arrived at the bank, called the phone number and Feliciano answered very quickly! He invited us inside. The place is very beautiful and elegant inside. The atmosphere feels very friendly compared to other banks Ive had. Wow! The Service that Feliciano offered us was the best that any bank has offered me, I am wondering what is appropriate to ensure that I get the right service for what I need. He answered all my questions clearly and with details. He gave me his card and contact in case I had any questions. Feliciano is a great employee and I thank him very much for helping me! In the end, I will recommend this bank to my friends and tell them to make an appointment with Feliciano. :)

I keep coming back to Unitus for my auto loans and for good reason. They not only have great rates, but they also have awesome agents to make the loan process super easy. My daughter and i had the opportunity to work with Omar Cazares-Alvares on their first auto loan. I worked with Omar and team on an auto loan. I called about 20 places around town and nobody came close to his rates. I also needed the loan done in a day (during the busiest time of year). Omar and team got it done in literally a few hours. Theyre the best, most professional team I have ever worked with. If you get an auto loan elsewhere, not only are you a fool, but youre giving away money given that nobodys rates will beat Omar and team. This was also my first time doing an auto loan (n00b) and they walked me through the entire process making it so easy. .....like I said- go to Omar and team. If youre looking for a kind, caring, and professional bank.. Unitus is it. I have been a long time member, am currently living out of state, and my banking has never been easier. All of the staff I have worked with in person and over the phone have been incredibly helpful. Most recently I worked with Omar C. who turned a really long, hard day into an extremely better one. I was helped through the finishing stages of a loan with kindness and conciseness amid my slight stress by way of a time crunch on my end. The promises made to me were kept and Omar exceeded my expectations of how easy the process could actually be. I have been with Unitus for a few years now and finally decided to look into buying a new (to me) car. I had the absolute, utmost pleasure working with Omar C. Omar was thorough and was available to answer any and all questions! Whether it be by phone or by email. Going into this alone, I didnt know much about what to ask for, what services to be wary of, or, to be honest, anything at all when it came to buying a car. I mentioned to Omar that at times, especially being a woman and a POC, I sometimes felt that the cards were never dealt in my favor and was worried that I would taken advantage of buy a salesman who was looking to make a sale that wouldnt be in my best interest. Omar reassured me again and again that as a fellow POC, he understood exactly where I was coming from and that with his help, I would find the car that was meant for me. This, of course, meant the world to me. During the WHOLE PROCESS, Omar gave me nothing but the advice that I am so very thankful for. He is a true asset to Unitus and if it werent for him, I wouldnt be in a car that I absolutely love today! Omar C. deserves all the best when it comes to raises, benefits, promotions, etc. I would love to see him in a position as a Branch Manager if he ever got the opportunity to go for it. I have been with other CUs and even worked for one that is very well known throughout the PNW and I can honestly and truly say that because of Omars efforts, genuine kindness, and above & beyond service, Unitus now has another member for life. I came here to open a new checking and saving account because of the great reviews this location had. Well it wasn t really that great. First, they had no bankers or anyone to check in with ( this was on a Thursday around 11am). I had to wait in their long line for tellers. Then, I get to the teller and tell him I d like to open an account. Well apparently, they are appointments only. Or he can pass my info on to a banker so they can set up a time to call and work on it over the phone. Well a lady contacts me by phone and email while I was working. I emailed her back telling her when I m available to talk (since she said she had that availability as well). And hilariously, she emails me back during the time and I was available to talk ( I didn t think of checking my email, I was waiting for her call). Asking me if I want to do it through email or phone . Very unprofessional I will say. Plus, disappointing because I am a very busy person and me standing in line for who knows how long was a really waste of time. It s been a week and they haven t tried to contact me. Not new client friendly. Not to mention the location is horrible .

Beaverton Unitas has the best customer service of any business anywhere. Always greeted sincerely, always treated with respect, & the employees go the extra mile for their customers. All the employees are wonderful, but Steve is a favorite. I recently needed to join my spouses accounts, as well as set up my own accounts. Then join them all together. I could not have figured out how to do this without help, and wasnt sure how to apply during Covid. Steve Harwood made it incredibly easy! He did all the backend work to be sure I was qualified, added me to the family accounts, and sent me the forms to e-sign, then finished setting up my new private accounts, and mailed out my debit card immediately. Very easy banking! Especially during a pandemic. Thank you!

I needed to change my accounts in to the name of my trust. I was told this would be a long process. I made an appointment for a Saturday with no problem. Omar was fantastic and got this all taken care of with ease and in less than an hour. Thank you for making the process the complete opposite of what I was expecting.

I have been a Unitus member for around ten years now, and I could not be happier! I suggest it to my friends often. They have helped me grow in my financial understanding while also trying to help me find solutions during difficult times like these. On top of it, they always have fantastic customer service! I ve had many other accounts before with certain big banks and none have compared Unitus. :)

The other day I had the pleasure of meeting Omar at the Beaverton branch of Unitus and I was impressed with both him and the philosophy of Unitus. I opened an account and I am looking forward to starting a relationship with Unitus. Omar was friendly, informative, and had an excellent command of his material. I had a wonderful experience at the drive through window with bank teller, Omar. He was extremely patient, friendly, knowledgeable and kind. I appreciate everyone at this bank and feel uplifted when I leave. Thank you Unitus employees for all that you do. Yesterday I took my daughter to Unitus to open up an account. I always have appreciated the professional behavior and cheerful personalities of Beaverton Unitus staff. Their extra efforts especially during these trying COVID times is awesome. I needed to open a new bank account and dropped by this branch. I talked to a teller that let me know I needed to schedule an appointment, but one of the bankers Omar, overheard me and said his appointment had just cancelled so he could help me out. Omar was a LIFESAVER, he was able to get me and in out very quickly, while I was holding my 1.5 year old son, who was being super wiggly and wanting down. Omar talked to him and was able to even joke around with him a little bit which helped immensely. Omar got me everything I needed for the new account including direct deposit info highlighted in yellow highlighter, and took care of an additional task I needed help with. Thank you Omar!

Totally impressed with the help my sister an I receive today from Omar and Joda in particular (all the staff there work together as a great team) in transferring our recently passed parent s trust account into an irrevocable trust so that we can carry out their wishes. This branch is consistently a good experience. Orderly and efficient, with pleasant and personable staff. They even have Spanish-speaking staff. Ive been going to this branch for around a decade, now. Its been a decision without regrets. If you havent switched to a credit union yet, do so. The experience is worlds above what youll see at a traditional bank. And many credit unions cooperate so that you dont get ATM fees between them.

I exclusively used big, corporate style banking for many years. Having finally had enough of exorbitant fees and unhelpful, impersonal interactions I switched to Unitus. I ve had many opportunities to appreciate that decision over the last few years. At Unitus, I am always greeted by helpful staff and I am never punished for circumstances beyond my control. As an institution, I believe they genuinely cate about their customers and I am extremely satisfied with their service.

I recently worked with Kevin for a refinance and it was a terrific experience! Kevin is extremely knowledgeable and he was helpful every step of the way. I came to Unitus from another, larger local Credit Union because their teller line up changed about as often as I change socks! Unitus has a different plan - their tellers form relationships with customers and Im liking that! I have banked at Unitus for a long time now, and just the best experience. I hadnt been inside a branch since March due to the pandemic, and needed to bring my mother to sign important papers with a notary. Omar served us. He was not only professional with the papers, he was charming with my mom, who doesnt leave the house anymore except for the doctor. We were delighted by the personal touch. This Bank exports your personal information to the public and you can complain to the manager and they dont care even if you call corporate about it.. Each individual person work here they tell you wrong information is look like they dont have the right training or they do whatever they want!!! I worked with Ashkan after first signing up for an account online. He was helpful and setting up what to expect because I was planning on taking out a loan. After making an appointment for a loan, I worked with India, and she was great in helping me apply for the loan via appointment. I showed up a few minutes early, and was honestly leaving about 10 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. I had plenty of time to go home and visit with the family and eat before going to work. I know a lot of people complained about things that were out of Unitus hands during their closing, but I appreciate the social distancing and shields inside. Covid has been tough on everyones abilities to communicate in person and for our business we were very concerned about our access to accounts and how things would change moving forward. COVID has most of the branches closed, so I had to come here and go through the drive thru. I was the 10th car in line and with only one window open it took over an hour for me to get to the front. DO NOT COME HERE ID YOURE IN A HURRY. The security guards are walking right up to peoples windows and talking to them with no masks on, cars are just burning gas sitting in line, and every customer has to touch the same tube to do business. Banks are essential, youd think they might try to figure out a better way to manage.

Right now during the Carona apandemic inadequate drive up tellers or inside banking with 6 foot spacing was made Available. Not all my banking needs could be met with a teller machine. I arrived at the branch at 3:30 and was in a long waiting line. The security guard on duty said I probably wouldnt be seen before they closed. This was my second day in a row trying to do my banking. Yesterday I was rudely run off by a security guard, apparently a car broke down in the drive through. I dont know why they didnt push it through? They banker closing the doors was rude when I was trying to read the messages on the door to see if there was another branch I could get to. Theres probably 20 cars in line right now and they are going to close at regular business hours. Pretty lame not working later to care for our banking needs.

This review is for the call center (NOT the branch, the branch is always awesome!!): I had a mediocre experience, at best, with a woman in The automotive loan department on the phone. I didn t even know it was possible to be standoffish with a person on the phone. I had some basic questions about financing a classic car, and I gave her the information about the vehicle, and she immediately said there are no NADA guidelines for a vehicle for that age, that was about to be the end of the conversation until I replied and said that there was, and so she actually looked it up and found out there were. I received terse responses and there was no expansion in the conversation whatsoever. The Employee didn t even know what a convertible was. I was disappointed at the lack of knowledge this person has for vehicles in the vehicle loan dept., and the overall feeling that I was wasting her time. The tone in her voice easily led me to believe that she was more annoyed to take the call. I will check with my other credit union and bank. Unitus rocks! And the employees there usually enjoy working with customers but this person clearly does not.

I have honestly had nothing but good experiences here. Not only are they friendly and efficient but they also provide great financial support. Even the trainees have a great sense of customer service and transaction knowledge. There are certain big name banks I will NEVER use again, due to how horrible the service was. Not the case here!

Hello my name is David and for more than 6 years I am with this bank, and for the first time I had a personal problem which I could not work or call the companies that had my account to take automatic payments and I pay many surcharges of thirty dollars and I only ask for a little time to start working next week and I cant have only 6 days left, of 45 it was, I just care about the money that is earned for free, they didnt pay me anything and so they cant wait for a few days more than make money, thank you very much for understanding me I do not recommend this bank at all ....

I banked with Chase for 20 years and never had an issue with them. I decided to change to Unitus to support something more local and involved in the community. If I were to call Chase good, Unitus would be great. The lines of credit and loans are fair. The personal touch with bankers leave nothing to be desired at all--they are quick, friendly, efficient, and really listen to you. If I had known the difference between good and great, I would have made the switch sooner.

When I mentioned my dissatisfaction with Wells Fargo, my CPA suggested I switch to a credit union like Unitus. On her recommendation, I opened a checking account and gradually switched all my accounts to Unitus, including refinancing my house. The staff at Unitus are so friendly and helpful. I discovered how much difference it makes to be a member of a credit union where the profits go to serve the members rather than to enrich faceless corporations. I get great interest rates on my mortgage, auto loan, HELOC, and credit card that I have through Unitus. I have the convenience of online banking, including snap-check deposits, and I can use any ATM at another credit union or 7-11 store with no fee. Mostly, I feel good about supporting a business that really cares about people.

This location is best out of their locations throughout the Portland Metro area. One reason the branch manager takes the time to listen to members, acts accordingly to UCCU rules or policy but also without forgetting the members needs. The employees are friendly dedicated, reasonable and helpful. When employees from this location go to another location is easy to spot them. They always shine. If I needed to hire someone for my customer service they would be the first that come to my mind.

My husband and I went yesterday to cash his check from a friend of his who he worked with and paid him that way. The employees here said that he needed two forms of ID not SSC or Birth Certificate. Has to show his picture on both forms of ID. State ID wasnt good enough. They also said to have his friend who wrote the check come in with him instead even.......just ridiculous.

I have been with them since 1986 (when they were known as Oregon Telco) I use to jump banks all the time but as you can see I have been with them 30 years. Like all businesses you have issues from time to time. The great thing about Unitus is they have the goal of making it work (within the massive regulations) for you the customer. Those that are giving bad reviews obviously are leaving out pertinent facts.

Hooooorrible!! I have banked with them for 4 years now, was waiting until I could get out of the ridiculous loan I had. Clerks are rude, had the audacity to grill me thinking the $70 paycheck I had (just started there, first check and direct deposit hadnt gone through) was counterfeit! Then said that they wouldnt be able to cash it! I traded in the car I had on loan with them, and they froze my card! I understand that dealerships take awhile to get stuff in order, but why inconvenience me? I no longer have the car. Long story short. Go to On Point. My loan is 2% vs the 15% I had with Unitus. Oh! And its always reassuring when you call in and an automatic prompt asks you to be patient while waiting for help, due to the high call volume dealing with fraud.
