Angie and her team were absolutely amazing throughout our home buying process! Since we were first time home buyers we were incredibly nervous and had lots of questions, and Angie was always able to not only answer every question I had, but provide me with reassurance throughout the entire process. One of the things I loved about working with Angie was I never felt pressured to try and buy more house than I could realistically afford. One of the first questions she asked me was how much I was comfortable spending monthly on a home. After figuring out my ideal monthly cost, she was able to determine how much I could afford on a house after factoring in principal/interest/pmi/taxes/insurance/etc… as well as how much my estimated closing costs would be. We also discussed at length which specific loan would work best for us and she explained the pros/cons of each loan. Overall, I’m extremely happy with the service and would absolutely decide to work with them again if we ever decide to refinance/ buy another house.

The lending process went well....when they sell your loan not so much!! 1st statement with new mortgage holder they sold too, the payment increased by several hundred dollars, they said because cornerstone told then the escrow went up, I find out when they sell the loan. they charged my account 3 PMI payment all within 2 weeks advance payments for 2025 why because they sold my loan you should be ashamed!!

After talking to 4 different lending companies, Cornerstone was the first and only one who pointed out that our house was in a low-income neighborhood that would qualify for a lower down payment and interest rate than the average conventional loan. On top of that, they processed everything quickly so we can close on the house early.

John Mayhue and the Cornerstone team were awesome. They didn t try too hard to persuade me to get a certain type of loan or rush me into any decision. Instead we went through all of my options and picked the best one. Other lenders will tell you rates are just going to drop and say whatever they can to get you to go with them, but I didn t experience this with John and cornerstone. They explained everything well and their whole team expedited the process in order for me to close at the end of the month in order to save money on interest. I would definitely recommend them and use them again if I get another loan.

Please be cautious!!! We bought a home in 2022 and loan has repeatedly been sold. We just found out one of the loans, I m assuming, never got closed after the transfer and our credit report shows we are behind almost $15,000 because of this. Even though a monthly payment has been auto drafted since 2022!!!! How does that even happen??!! Very disappointed with this company. Filed dispute with credit and waiting to hear back from Cornerstone.

To start off I want to say that Cornerstone started off being the more impressive company as far as getting me the results I was looking for in a timely manner. So that off the bat truly impressed me. Ashley was the first person I came into contact with so I have to give her her flowers for truly setting the tone of this entire experience. Imagine having a close, trusted friend who happens to be a mortgage expert. Thats Aileen Welty. And thats not exaggerated pap. Its real. If youre like me, the words mortgage company used to bring up feelings of monotony and dread. Not so with this crew. I never wouldve expected to feel a little joy when the mortgage company called, but thats how its been with Aileen and her team. My God, I called them with so many dumb questions, had to have things repeated to me so many times, changed my mind and lost my patience because of interest rate hikes. But still they were kind, patient and understanding. And it took us a LONG time to find the right house (read:YEARS). But they stuck with us through changes in price range, interest rate shifts, entire plan changes, calling it off, calling it back on and more insanity. That isnt how a business treats you. Our first meeting we discussed our goals (financially smart decisions during a season of higher interest rates) and we were provided multiple viable options regarding loan strategies. The Bomar Team went above and beyond throughout the process. From the first meeting where we were advised what was in budget and what could be in the budget if we financed differently to helping with pre-approval letters after open houses, the Bomar Team made the entire process so easy! Angie Haag and her team are exactly the people you want to have in your corner when buying, or even selling a house. Angie and her team were so kind and knowledgeable. They explained every step of the home buying process to be sure you know exactly what youre signing in the mountains of paperwork that accompanies home financing. There were no stupid questions, or at least if there were they answered them anyway. They even go so far after the purchase finalizes to send small thank-yous every couple months. In my time with them I can think of free coffee and free ice cream vouchers to local stores. Now that we have come to the unfortunate point that the house must sell, Angie was the first person I thought to call to discuss options. In my case she quickly pulled that my loan may qualify for an assumption which might help the property move faster due to my low loan rate. I can say enough about Dominic and his team. It had been 15 years since the last time we went through process. They walked us through the entire process, keeping us informed, offering suggestions how to get the best interest rate, and in identifying all the documents we needed to submit. The automatic signing process was great, signatures could be sent from any device. Two of our daughters previously used Dominic from Cornerstone to buy their homes and highly recommended him. The weekly Friday updates are a fantastic idea. We knew where we were in the process and if anything was needed. It definitely diminished the stress of the whole process. We came to them with a non-conventional situation, and they knew exactly what to do (when other lenders we spoke to previously didnt). Alyssa was also great to work with and was always very friendly and clear about what our next steps were and what documents/signatures/etc. were needed from us next. The management website they use for sending all the documentation is also well designed and easy to use, making it simple to send all the documents that were required.

I worked with Sam Burschs team to originally get my loan a little over two years ago. It was a great experience and I know I can count on Sams team to help where they can. The engagement from Sam is GREAT! 5 STAR service for sure. Now for the source of the actual rating being toward the next service group. My loan was transferred to what I assume is some corporate/management office in New Jersey. The web interface for managing the loan is limited. The quality of customer service is hit and miss when I call them but the worst part is their technology is very dated and the reps dont always know how it works. Id have liked to setup automated bi-weekly payments over the last two years but to do so you must print a form and mail it in. Oh well I did not have any issue making the monthly payments manually through their interface, which is the only good thing I can say about it. I ordered a payoff statement a little over a week ago on a Monday and was told I would have an electronic statement generated in 4-5 hours. Still dont have that. I was told a physical copy could be faxed (2-48 hours received) or mailed (7 days). I assume most people would prefer using email or some mobile application but Cornerstone is not caught up in this regard. Turns out after calling multiple times and using their Live Chat (which I was manually disconnected by the rep twice) I found out the electronic delivery of the statement is not going to happen and the physical delivery is 7-11 business days. If this statement is what provides me the direction to payoff the loan and I requested the payoff date to be 10 business days after the request, I should have been warned that I may not receive the statement in time or not have been able to set the payoff date until after the statement is guaranteed to be delivered. This has been a terrible experience for the course of a couple of weeks and one that feels out of date for the last two years. I am not thrilled about leaving this review on the Central Region group but I think you need to know what to expect in the long-term. Update: I did finally get the payoff statement the day before the payoff date. I did have to call and confirm the wire was received as it took time for the system to update. Now Im just waiting on the final steps. If you decide to use Cornerstone, Sams team will take care of you but if you end up having your loan transferred to their NJ office dont expect much.

Ive worked with a few lenders in different regions and I must say Dominic (Dangora) was the most communicative, and highly efficient team. I didnt have to upload the same document repetitively. Dominic and the team have also sent me little quirky and interesting housewarming gifts which was a delight because I have not received anything from other lenders. They understand the VA loan, Ive reached my decision after Dominic and I had a short discussion with a virtual desktop conference which was extremely transparent in my opinion, national lenders cannot beat this.

You know that feeling when youre tired at the end of a long day, where it seemed like the entire world was conspiring against you, and the last thing you want to do is make dinner? You open the fridge with zero confidence and then, BOOM, leftovers that you had forgotten about to save the day! Well, that was Cornerstone for us. We were beaten down after a 14-month build that in the last 2-weeks our original lender said we were no longer qualified. We were down bad, but then we found Cornerstone (credit to our realtor Kieran Zepu w/Chamberlain realty. Just like the leftovers, they saved the day, and it was such a simple process! I have been using cornerstone since moving to Oklahoma 5 years ago. I will always use them and I will always recommend them. They are nice folks, and consistent with how they handle their business. I should know as I have used them for 2 mortgages and a refinance. Also they are honest and try to do what they can to make sure you come out in the best position possible. They also keep in touch over the years with random gifts throughout the year which is a nice personal touch.

We worked with Sam and his team for financing our new built. Initially we reached out because of our builder s relationship and perks of using preferred lender, but it was quickly evident that they work differently than other lenders we have worked with (not our first rodeo, clearly). We were not used to the thoroughness and detail that they required. We loved the portal access to upload information. Were we initially a little peeved at how much information they wanted to have? Sure. Mostly because we never had to do so before (good credit and hx of credit) but once we processed our own anxiety and stress that comes with building a house and realized that they are doing a thorough job; to make sure the last detail is handled before it s too late at the closing table, we were not annoyed anymore. We did verbalize our concerns to Sam and he handled it very well and very professionally. Once the initial file set up was done, it was amazing. We had a dedicated team. Weekly communication, always available staff and access. They are such a polite and efficient team. I gave recommendations to another friend who is going to start building in the next year. Our closing had an issue because of an error on our end (our mistake not their s) but they still worked with us to try to help in anyway they could. It eventually was resolved on the day we needed to close and move. We are very happy with the rate we got, the service and the relationship we made with Sam and his wonderful team. Brilliant work. We started off using Cornerstone because it was a preferred lender for our, then home builder. Our contract fell through on the house we were selling and we didnt end up getting the new build. When we got our house under contract again, we contacted Cornerstone. Sam Bursch was amazing every step of the way. He gave us numbers quickly. He always answered the phone or email promptly. We never wondered when something was going to happen. We got weekly updates from the team and when we would reply to those updates, got quick responses! Sam was honest about the process. I hope I dont move again for a really long time, but I will definitely refer anyone I know to Sam.

I cannot say enough good things about the Hines Team at Cornerstone Lending. At every step of the mortgage process, they were always on top of things and kept me informed along the way. I had lots of questions and the Hines Team patiently answered all of them. As anyone knows, the home buying process can be very stressful...so many moving pieces, inspections, lending, packing, etc. The Hines Team took away a lot of my stress during this last month with their excellent service and communication. Beyond the lending side, they even sent me some helpful videos and some checklists to help me with packing and things like remembering to forward mail and call utility companies. Without question, the best experience Ive had with a lender. Highly recommend!

First home we bought together and the experience was amazing. Steven was great at showing us the homes we wanted to see. We were very last minute on everything and work full time. They still were able to cater to our schedule and find us a home in the area we wanted to be in. Cody is an awesome loan officer. He kept us in our budget and worked very hard to get us a good interest rate and payment we were comfortable making. I would use them again in my next home purchase. Overall it was a really smooth process. I appreciate all of the hard work from each team member involved!

GENUINELY LIFE CHANGING! We got the chance to meet with Dominic Dangora and his amazing team last year when we were applying for our first home. Dominic made things so easy for us! We had some credit hurdles to get over and he aligned us with a powerhouse to get us where we needed to be. Dominic and his team LITERALLY made our dreams come true.. all while in this crazy pandemic too! lol The icing on the cake was this year - we just refinanced with a lower rate and we couldnt be more happy! They presented clear instruction on what needed to be accomplished, when, and why. Buying a home can be VERY stressful. We bought our first home as a married couple over two weeks ago and Cornerstone was ABSOLUTELY amazing! My wife & I have purchased several homes over the years and we have found Cornerstone Home Lending to be the best! Brooke & her staff are outstanding and always available to help with whatever we needed. Most importantly they worked alongside us through the process of purchasing a home based on our pension and Social Security which we found is NOT an easy process. I highly recommend them to anyone but especially those who are retiring and purchasing a new home.
