NVR Mortgage of Raleigh, NC

My experience with NVR has not really been the best. Although I am thankful for my new home, the process was nothing short of stress. We worked with Jose as our loan officer and Yanine as our loan processor, and let me just say...there was a period of time with working with them where my husband and I would go days, even weeks, without hearing back from them when we had questions or follow ups. It was quite difficult to get in contact with them after our initial deposit was finalized. So bad infact, that my realtor had to go above NVR mortgage and speak with someone higher up with Ryan Homes to ensure that they would start replying to us within a timely manner, so I want everyone to be aware of this if they are given the opportunity to have Jose or Yanine work with them. Hopefully they will be more on top of things with the next round of clients, because our experience was pretty awful. I will add, when they DID respond to us, they were helpful and knowledgeable.

Also, Jose selected a Home Insurance plan for my family without me even speaking to a home insurance representative. I had already selected a plan and two days before closing, Jose and the NVR team selected a plan for me through State Farm without my consent, which has now wound up to be a whole mess within itself.

As a first time homeowner I couldn't get or ask for a better team, because there is simply not a better team than Zachary and Nicholas , I'm so grateful for all the help provided by them throughout the whole process, all the questions were answered, all the doubts clarified. I really would love that everyone goes through the same experience that my family went through. Jeanell was super nice, Deborah never leave us out of sight and Jake on the construction site was simply the best. Awesome team to work with. 110% recommended.

Nick & Brandon are a great team! Due to unforeseen circumstances, our pre-approved mortgage(with another company) became unapproved 1 month prior to closing. Although I don't recommend this situation for anyone, Nick & Brandon jumped through hoops to get us our mortgage in only 3 weeks! The communication was clear & precise and everything came together with 5 days to spare.
I can't thank you both enough for helping us secure my son's first home.

I highly doubt these 5 stars reviews were left by real borrowers. DO NOT fall for their $10k incentive (or any incentives). It's a lure. They'll get even more back by throwing junk fees at ya. The mandatory points are among those junk fees. Good luck hunting!

We are first time homebuyers and we had the opportunity to work with NVR mortgage. We worked with our loan officer and we had some misinformation given between our first meetings and closer to closing. Honestly, it wasn t that really upset us. It was that we were told conflicting information from the loan processor Richard about our closing amount a couple days before closing. We asked him to verify that info and he did over the phone. On the day of closing, the amount quoted by Richard is entirely wrong. When I asked for rationale to this discrepancy, I didn t get a response for over a week. I had to resend my message 3-4 times and his final response was dismissive and showed no accountability. The money wasn t my issue it was the fact that we were lied to and then dismissed afterwards. The lack of accountability and respect by this loan processor is very disappointing.

I am giving NVR Mortgage a 5 star rating.. if there was a 10 I would give a 10 rating. Marisa Morgan and Corey Allen were both of the most amazing people! They held my hands through the entire process till the very end! They were extremely patient and compassionate in helping my dream become a reality. I closed on my beautiful home on May 20th. I closed on my new home in March, 2023 and NVR Mortgage was exceptional to work with. My Loan Officer Anthony Ratliff and my Loan Processor Karen Nelson were great to work with. Karen was extremely organized and always gave context for the entirety of the closing process. Anthony was very responsive and walked me through each document I needed to provide and e-sign. Together NVR Mortgage made this closing process seamless while the builder finished building my home. All of my questions were answered, all of my concerns were addressed. At my closing Karen was there and it was a really great experience as this is my first home.

I was filled with apprehension when NVR Mortgage first reached out to me. With interest rates high, I feared my dream of owning a home would never be realized. However, I met Anthony Ratliff and that is when things begin to shift. Anthonys words were a ray of hope in this dark hour, assuring me that he would do everything he could to get me into my new home. Anthony kept true to his word, proving to be a thorough and reliable communicator throughout. Karen Nelson, stepped in and was an excellent communicator, consistently checking in and updating me on the progress of the process. Both Anthony and Karen have been like angels, providing much-needed assistance to my family. We had put off buying a home for decades and finally pulled the trigger despite the dread of the ordeal. We had a lot go right and a lot go wrong. Most surprisingly, the loan was the best part of the process! If everyone was as thorough, professional and kind as Marisa and Joe we would buy a new home every year! They were so very patient in explaining everything to us and in constant contact to keep the file up to date with everything we would need. It was completely stress free. I would highly recommend them to anyone buying a new home. I wish there was a sixth star!

We honestly couldn t have asked for a better team! Allison and Garrett are very professional in what they do. Taking this huge step of purchasing our first home at the ages of 18 and 19 was scary, but they made us feel comfortable and supported. We have been working with Nick since day 1 of signing our contract and the experience has been amazing! He then introduced us to Zach and again another amazing experience. Anytime we had a question they made sure they answered it where we understood what was going on. Stacy and Garrett were great! Super responsive to any questions we had (through email or phone) and didnt mind repeating themselves. They made our first time home buying experience very smooth. Garrett was willing to talk with us outside of normal business hours to fit our schedule. Towards the end of the process I had a small problem arise that needed to be handled the same day. Im sure I called Stacy no less than three times and each time she answered she was patient, understanding, and kind.

The experience of buying a new home through NVR was absolutely amazing and super easy. Marisa Morgan and Alison Stacy were my loan officer/loan processors and were simply phenomenal!! From day 1 I asked NVR I am an F1 student, will that be an issue? Other banks have denied my mortgages, will you do the same? And they confidently said: No, that wont be an issue. They pre-approved my loan on a new home, with a 40% downpayment, ~750 credit score, and no debt whatsoever. During the process, they were nice and professional (which is why Im not rating them 1 but 2). But then 3 weeks before closing date they called to announce that because of my F1 visa status, underwriting had denied the mortgage. Now I have 3 weeks to find another loaner (which is particularly hard in covid+my visa status) or a new place to live. I dont mind being rejected per se, I mind being made false promises and then being left to hang. If Id known this months ago, I would have many different options and time to consider them, but no.. Now I have 3 weeks and this will likely cost me a lot of money. tl;dr: after pre-approving my mortgage they denied it 3 weeks before closing. Nothing changed between the time of pre-approval and underwriting.

My wife and I went through the process of purchasing a home in N.C., while living in Vermont. There were many moving parts that required someone in N.C. to be constantly overseeing the process, all the while having to work from home, which isn t always the most productive environment. Nick & Brandon are a great team! Due to unforeseen circumstances, our pre-approved mortgage(with another company) became unapproved 1 month prior to closing. Although I dont recommend this situation for anyone, Nick & Brandon jumped through hoops to get us our mortgage in only 3 weeks! The communication was clear & precise and everything came together with 5 days to spare. I cant thank you both enough for helping us secure my sons first home.

Nick and Brandon along with the entire NVR team were simply amazing! From day 1 as a veteran they worked to provide the best rates and minimal fees. In fact, as a veteran, NVR pretty much waived my fees and I ended up with cash back at closing. All along the way, Nick and Brandon made everything as easy an can be by providing documents through the NVR online portal, when I had questions they responded immediately, and everything went right on schedule. Two great professionals and as a multiple home buyer with NVR I could not be happier with the organization from top to bottom!

The NVR Raleigh office was great in handling our home mortgage! Cory and Jose were both excellent to work with. Cory talked us through the process so we knew what to expect, and he answered all my mortgage questions. He was genuinely interested in making sure we got a mortgage that worked for us. It was an absolute pleasure working with Mr. Garrett and Mr. Zach of NVR Mortgage and the Ryan Homes team. These two gentlemen are very professional, knowledgeable, and take pride in the service they provide. After enduring a very bad experience with the LGI Homes team, I was discouraged and unsure of becoming a first time homeowner. But Garrett and Zach talked and walked step by step with me through the paperwork and construction process. We recently built a home with Ryan homes and used their Lender NVR homes and had a really great experience with Cory. He took the time to walk us through all the numbers in a way that made sense. We didnt feel rushed for time any point and he had made himself available to take calls on the weekend. Would recommend to other in the future. He even brought us a 6 pack at closing!
