Went in there to get my Seiko watch fixed after it stopped working - Marco replaced the battery, polished the band and replaced the crystal. He's so talented and works so fast!! I also got my silver bracelet polished and it came out looking better than when I first bought it! Can't stare at it for too long now though cus the shine is blinding. Jon is also an awesome guy and helped me out twice. He is extremely nice, helpful and knowledgeable. Excellent service, will definitely be back.

My perspective, the X factor comes from the people running the show here. Every single employee leads with a genuine and pure heart… I had to come here to pawn my late-father’s graduation ring. As a 27 year old, I was truly devasted that I had to do this to afford food for the time…. Heart was in shambles when I was walking through their door. Truly shambles.

But man, the staff her truly cares about their customers & were incredibly empathetic towards my situation…. Gave me a great price, great loan & even polished my ring before returning it to me.

11/10 I’d recommend these guys! They know what to do with the blessing!!✝️❤️

I have been toSumpters several times in the past and always had good service and good value. I recently brought my engagement ring in to be repaired. It s over 30 years old and approximately 10 years ago I had to have it made Larger The piece of gold fill out.. I had taken it to a jewelry store because it was closer to home and was told that the repair would be $1000. I brought it to Sumpters and was assisted by Caleb Upton. he estimated that the charge would be approximately $200. I was very happy with this price and when I returned the call. I was advised the charge was $160 and the Repair had already been completed. My ring looks beautiful and Caleb service was extraordinary. Thank you Sumters so much..

My mother in law and I recently had multiple pieces of jewelry worked on at Sumpters. Several pieces were resized and a couple were custom designed using family heirlooms. We were blown away by the fantastic customer service we received. When we weren t sure what we should do with a piece, they were able to offer suggestions and options. Our jewelry is beautiful and it was such a quick turnaround! Everyone was so kind to us from the moment we walked in and made sure that we were happy with everything we received. They also treated my daughter like a princess! Who could ask for more?!?

I just had my Rolex repaired by Sumpters Jewelry. My band had stretched out and broken twice. I was told by other jewelers it couldn t be repaired. Sumpter Family owned Jewelry, is hands down the best Jewelry store/pawn shop. They actually give you what your Jewelry is worth. And if youre buying anything, theyll work with you to where you can afford it, or you can put it own a plan payment. They wont hound you about your payments. Theyre understandable with that part. They also have the best Jewelry in charlotte. I have been staying here my whole life and just found out about them right b4 Thanksgiving, and thats my favorite store. If u buy Jewelry I suggest you to stop buy and check em out, even if ur trying to pawn or gotta loan, I suggest you check em out. I went her to sell some gold that I had just laying around, 7 grams of 22k 4 grams of 14 k and 3 grams of 10k they offered me $100. What ever happened to a fair deal, I looked up the price for scrap gold and even at scrap price what I had would have added up to$600 or more, I understand that these places have to make money but not just out right give a customer almost nothing for valuable gold. If your selling gold do not go here you wont get a fair price or evenclose

There is watch makers in Charlotte and then there is Marco a true master of his craft. I came in for a simple spring bar replacement and he mentioned how my bracelet was improperly sized and he adjusted it for me, I have taken my Rolex to many places and he was the first person to notice it. I have been interested in purchasing a Rolex watch for quite sometime, and as everyone within these circles knows, purchasing from an AD is next to impossible. However because I was attending a business seminar in Charlotte NC this September, I looked on line for Rolex dealers in the area and came across Sumpters Jewelers website. My Rolex President was purchased in 1981 and worn every day while golfing, tennis, salt water, chlorine water and only taken off for service. The bracelet had stretched and had some dents and I didn t want to buy a new bracelet from Rolex so I found Sumpters Jewelers as one of few who could rebuild the bracelet by installing new pins, taking out dents, tightening the links and polishing it. Now it looks brand new and even in the first two days of wearing it again, I have received numerous comments on my watch. It looks like new and the workmanship and professionalism of Sumpters exceeded my expectations. Great job!

Sumpters jewelry is a good place to buy a watch but there is so much here I just have to describe it . The gentleman that actually works on the watches name is Marco Deillon. Recently, I took Marco two Omega Seamasters that for a lot of reasons meant the world to me. I have dealt with watch repair technicians before but never in my 63 years have I known one that had the technical capability of Marco. This man was so worth just getting to talk to. If you think the job Marco does is no big deal then I highly recommend you taking the time to watch a you tube video on what it takes to work on an Omega Seamaster Chronograph. The work Marco does on a timepiece is remarkable to say the least. As I said these two Omegas meant the world to me and I trusted Marco an I am a fairly decent judge of character. He repaired these two Omegas and now they work with impeccable precision and I m not even mentioning how they both looked when he got done with them. They actually look better and work more precise than they did the day I bought them new. I can t say enough as to this is the man you want to have work on your watch, regardless if it is a Rolex, Breitling, Tag, whatever the watch you can leave it with Marco at Sumpters and know damn well your watch will be repaired an or serviced perfectly, professionally and with care. He does EXACTLY as he says he will. I love watches and have had quite a few of the nicer ones. In fact I still have every watch I have bought since the time I was 17 years old. And looking back when I think about it their is no other person in the entire world that I would rather have repair or service my watches than Mr. Marco Deillon . I consider him my friend and I m grateful for all he has done to help me.

If you didnt buy your watch from these folks, dont bother taking it in for repairs. Took a new Tudor watch in today that I bought elsewhere to get it resized and order links from Rolex and the grumpy old watch repairman refused to help and told me to take it where I bought. There was a young guy working back there that offered to help but the grumpy old man wouldnt let him. I think its time for Marco to retire.

Not sure about the negative reviews that came back to back about this place. I had great experiences dealing with this place. The sales reps were very helpful and knowledgeable. They really look out for you and not just to make the sale. They take their time explaining the details and build a long-lasting relationship/friendship with you. I will come back here even if I have to pay a little bit more because great customer service and knowledge are very rare these days.

Watchmaker there acted dumb when I brought in a Hublot to fix- not even a watch movement issue just needed a gold solder. Pretended like he had no clue what to do, even suggested that the watch might not be authentic since it said gold 750 and titanium on the back. (Hublot uses a titanium middle case on Big Bang models). I suspect its just Hublot hate, but no way I would ever go back there for anything to do with high end watches. Took the watch down the street to Moores and they easily fixed it.

I have been doing business with Sumpter s Jewelry in Charlotte, NC now for well over 10 years (mostly for certified Rolex servicing, custom Rolex polishing, and many other things regarding selling and buying Rolex products); and the quality of work that they provide is second to none. Sumpter s is the only place in Charlotte that I will take my Rolex. Their service is top notch and the employees are both knowledgeable and friendly. They have a great selection of watches and faces so they can also customize your watch to your specific requests. Their watch repair team are certified retransmit that do quality as well as warranted work. You will never go wrong doing business with these fine folks.

Upon entering the staff appeared friendly and welcoming. I went to have you have 4 watch batteries replaced replaced. When I arrived to the watch department in the rear. The two gentlemen stared as if they did not want to greet me, after i kindly said, how are you doing? I waited for five minutes to be told battery prices varies and the battery change will not be completed until Monday. I declined and departed. Maybe next time ill shop for jewelry .

Sumpters is a fantastic jeweler. I have been using them for nearly 25 years. They service watches on-site and very reasonably. My family and friends have purchased many Rolexs and other time pieces here as well as jewelry. They can upgrade diamonds, change Rolex bands, faces and bezels to customize to your liking. Tried to obtain a quote of service for a Rolex watchband rebuild from Carolyn and was given a quote with overlapping charges. Then I was asked to explain my objections twice as If I was speaking another language. Was very unprofessional using slang like Gotcha and wishing my luck in my search. Really I am truly glad I did not trust these people with my needs. So many choices in this industry make sure you ask detailed question when making decisions.

Carolyn Mccoy over at Sumpters is the absolute BEST ! She sold me a fair priced Rolex 36mm and even took the time to educate me on my purchase and tips to maintain it. I came the next week and purchased a diamond bezel & rope necklace. Excellent customer service when I needed to get my Rolex appraised. The expert watchmaker, Marco, did a fantastic job bringing my vintage, multigenerational Tag dive watch back to life. Though many of the necessary replacements were discontinued by Tag, Marco was able to find perfect replacements at a very fair price. Additionally, the labor cost was a value find you probably can t find elsewhere in Charlotte.

Be very careful with your purchases here. I bought a yellow diamond ring from them through eBay. The ring I received turned out to have yellow sapphires instead of yellow diamonds. They accepted the return for this item without issue, so thats great, but it still leaves me with a lot of doubts the items they sell in general. I dont believe they knowingly sold me sapphires as diamonds... but its not much better to find out that they didnt know (or possibly didnt check) to see if the diamonds were genuine in the first place.
