What could I say, I originally reached out to other companies and spoke to lenders and was not a fan of the service, how I was spoken to, or treated. I then found the Sherry Riano Team and got to work with a Lender by the name of Hunter Boyd. He provided excellent service, answered all my questions and concerns. He was patient and worked with me especially being a First Time Home Buyer. I can definitely say my lender advocated towards my best interest and set me up for success when it comes to home ownership! Thank you!

I cannot recommend the team at Sherry Riano highly enough - my husband and I were in the process of buying our first house and our wonderful realtor forwarded them to us and I am so grateful she did. Consistently frustrating experience. In preparing the paperwork, info was incorrect, after closing still getting emails to sign paperwork that had to be redone, asking to sign paperwork that was already done. Examples: mispelled names, my spouses number listed as the lender number (paperwork prepared by lender), incorrect information about home ownership, etc. When we pointed out a discrepancy....the response was, we cant change anything now, just sign it and well fix it at the end. Closed weeks ago and still fixing things. Cannot recommend.

This review is long overdue. The Sherry Riano team is what you want even youre buying your first house. They are communicative, patient, and answer all the questions you have. There are a lot of moving parts when youre buying a house and what I liked best about working with Chris, Jeffrey, and the rest of the team is that they explained step by step what to expect in the process. In addition, they communicate with your realtor so everyone is up to date on whats happening with your deal. Im very grateful for their help and the work they did in helping me buy a home and would recommend them over and over again!

10/10 AMAZING crew!!! From Hunter, to Crystal, and Chris, they made this experience amazing. I had a very nervous first time home buyer with an IRS issue and this team killed it. The communication chefs kiss . Loved that every time I got a phone call, it was 3 solutions before I even knew the problem. And this is just with this one client. I ve used them multiple times now and I can assure you they followup with leads you forgot you had. Absolutely would recommend and refer this team. I m a raging fan!!!!

I recently closed on my first house with The Sherry Riano Team as my lender. They did a wonderful job of walking me through the process and meeting the 30 day closing timeframe that the seller wanted. Everything was done promptly and they were very responsive with any questions I had. The system for signing and uploading documents was easy to use. They also easily worked with my insurance agent and the legal firm I used for the official closing. Overall, I would recommend them to anyone looking for a local lender.

They worked with me through many different aspects of my mortgage process. We even looked at walking away from the home we had put under contract with only 5 days before closing and Hunter was happy and willing to take the time to walk us through the other house we had found and went through the whole process on what it was going to cost for our new monthly payment compared to the old monthly payment and pointed us in the right direction when we had other questions that he could not answer. I would highly recommend them!

Rude and discriminatory...!! - only provides good service to entitled people Very bad experience with Sherry Riano team... Firstly they didnt give us the lock-in rate they promised.. they said lender not offering that now...they forgot to include our design selection deposit as part of down payment lot of mistakes in amounts in the lock-in quotes they sent... when we pointed that out they asked us to go to shop somewhere else.... borderline discriminatory.... We only selected them because they were preferred lender....

Started out well, but the closer we got to the closing the worse they got. I got an email almost every day for the last two weeks with more things to do. I responded within an hour or two each time. Two months before the closing they told me we needed an estimate for the flood insurance. We got that. Then, on Friday afternoon before Memorial Day weekend, when our closing was on Tuesday morning, they tell us we need to actually get the flood insurance and pay for it $3,700. Thankfully the agent was a friend, and we got it done in less than two hours. The closing was set to be in my office at 10:00. My wife came to the office, and we waited for 30 minutes and the notary didnt show up. I called Hunter. He told me that the lender hadnt gotten everything ready, so the closing couldnt happen yet. I asked him when he was going to tell us. My wife was just waiting here. That was thoughtless and unprofessional. We set the closing for the next day and thought everything had gone well. Then the notary called me on the way home and told me we had to do it again since the lender had messed things up again. My wife came to my office yet again. We went through 199 pages of closing documents again. The lawyer just called me again a week later and told me the lender had messed up the CD. Hes emailing it to me to sign again. Not a good experience.

The online portal lets you easily keep track of your mortgage application status, which was really helpful since we went from verbal offer to closing in about a month. Things went fast and smoothly until closing. We got the deal closed on time. Overall. it was a good experience. However, post closing, FHM does not accept online payment. That being said, before the loan being sold to some investors, i.e. a new loan servicer, borrowers have to mail checks or go with online wire transfer. Both will have additional monthly cost. Also, there is no convenient way to check the payment status, and borrowers would need to keep asking their loan officer.

Meredith put me in contact with Hunter Boyd, and he made sure that all paperwork for my loan was accurate and on time for closing. The Sherry Riano team helped me close on the house of my dreams in a matter of weeks! There was one hiccup where my contract wasn t delivered to them until almost two weeks after it was supposed to be, yet they managed to close me right on time! This was all done during a pandemic and what may be one of the craziest markets I may ever see in my lifetime. Relocating my family hundreds of miles already comes with stress, but doing so when houses are flying off the market makes it feel next to impossible. There is no doubt in my mind that without their help I would never have been able to land a home in such a competitive market. I never imagined the work this team would put in for me around the clock. Their communication and collaboration efforts with my realtor made a difficult transition almost seamless. I had the opportunity to meet Sherry Riano through a mutual friend by phone almost 12 years ago. She was very helpful on a refinance for a property I owned in Greensboro, NC. My wife and I bought our dream home in July 2015. Sherry and her Team again assisted in the financing process, which eliminated the stress and burden of trying to find a lender you truly trust and have confidence in closing the deal. I decided in 2020 to take advantage of the low rates and called Sherry once again. Please note this was right before the pandemic hit around March, that shut down almost every business. Sherry and her Team reached out and assured me there might be a slight delay, but would be honoring my original rate even though the date had expired. The closing eventually took place via a courier service and was probably the easiest and most seem less one I have ever experienced. I have never met Sherry personally, but am proud to say I feel as though I have my own personal lender only a phone call away. Years will pass and Sherry and her Fantastic Team will still know you by name and town on the next call. I recommend her to everyone I know that are looking to purchase or just refinance. Her energetic personality and confidence just shines through the phone on each call, while making the financing process a little more rewarding.

The Sherry Riano team was the first home mortgage company I worked with since it was my first time buying a house. I was recommended to them by my realtor and in the short timeframe I worked with Sherry Riano s team they were quick, responsive and very friendly. I had lots of first-timer home buying questions and they were extremely helpful with providing the answers j was looking for. Sherry Rianos team was helpful on an overall basis, they walked us through the necessary documents and loan arrangements. They even sent a nice little bag of of gourmet popcorn at the end. I gave them 3 stars only because I wish they addressed and acknowledged me the co-borrower (who is paying half of the money) in emails and such more and also they misspelled my name a couple of times, which is my personal pet peeve. All you have to do is copy paste :)
