I was impressed by the employees attention to our needs & their professionalism. We, three sisters even went back cause we saw more that interests us seeing more goodies for our personal needs - brand name bags new & almost new with a good price. That’s aside from each one of us both more than 3 items. Me alone got 10 good qualities of jewelries plus 3 authentic bags. Have to wear it soon. Joe and his associates were very patient in my decision process. No high pressure sales, just honest feedback. I had a custom made wedding band to replicate my lost one. They did an amazing job coaching me through the process. In fact, when I received the final piece, the stones were not proportionately right with the band. Joe immediately took responsibility for the miscommunication and was able to come up with a great solution. I’ve been a faithful customer for 22 years and this is the perfect example of why I always come back!

The first thing you’ll receive as you enter Alan’s Jewelry on Patton Ave. is a Warm Greeting from WALTER, their front security
Guard and doorman. So right away you feel welcome in a way many establishments do not do anymore. Rocky an Associate helped me through the process of purchasing my first firearm. The state of North Carolina often puts a delay on people even with a clean background. He was more than knowledgeable about local law and very informative, so I did not mind the wait. Allen’s Jewelry upheld state requirements to the letter. After my seven days passed they called to inform me I could legally pick up my purchase, and I couldn’t be happier. Thank you Walter and Rocky for all the help, I’ll see you again I’m certain!

This place it awesome! I had my eye on a Polaroid camera but I didn’t have the funds to get it at the moment and Danny told me about the layaway plan for it so I could save it! I always wanted one and now I know I will have the one I wanted soon thanks to Danny who was extremely kind, professional, welcoming, and funny. He’s the best and be sure to ask for him if you go! The lady thay helped me with my diamond band was so sweet and helpful! We were visiting on vacation for our anniversary. The ring I chose needed to be sized and she got them to size it for me the same day as we were leaving the following day! It was also priced perfectly given what it was! I love it and i couldn't be more happy! I would recommend this shop!

I am from FL and they had good deal on a shotgun. But .i spoke to the general manager and he told me they would only sell to people in states that touch NC. They also wouldn t ship it to my local dealer. Crappy policy.

Tay was super helpful for my fiancé and i finding our wedding rings! we also brought another piece of jewelry in that needed a chain replaced that they are able to fix within days. most of the cases had certain percentage off so we were able to do things under budget which was a nice plus in times like these. given wnc just went through a horrible flood-everyone we interacted with at this location was helpful, kind, and empathetic. Very kind and helpful! I went in today after being referred by another jeweler to get my ring cut off. I am very pregnant and forgot to take my rings off before my fingers got too swollen. They were able to quickly and almost painlessly cut off one ring and help me slide off another all at no charge. The staff was very helpful and made the somewhat stressful situation actually enjoyable. I will definitely be returning to have my ring repaired!

Tried to have my mom purchase a gun so that it could legally be gifted to me which nc allows u to do the man denied selling my mother the gun and couldn t give me a valid reason and when I asked this me to tell me the gifting laws on a hand gun he says there isn t any so I have to break down the laws to this gentleman who is selling the guns right makes no sense

Called before hand to see what type of items they accepted. I brought in thousands of dollars of new tools, small appliances, audio equipment, fishing gear, etc all for the general manager to say they won t take any of it cause they already have similar items. I was willing to let these go for dirt cheap too as I m liquidating my online store. The general manager would not even tell me himself that they wouldn t accept anything, he ran to the back like a complete weenie and made the other employee tell me. Don t waste your time here. Prices in general looked extremely inflated for a dinky pawn shop. Probably why all the shelves are full

Every time we visit Asheville we make a trip to Alan s! They always have cool stuff to check out and their jewelry selection is amazing. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and their prices are great. We purchased a ring on this trip and needed it sized before we headed home. I went in today to get a ring fixed and was helped by Joe tubolino and was helped right away and even though it was a piece of jewelry I didn t buy there they still helped me get my ring in to get fixed for a better price then where I purchased the the ring. After removing the back of a watch to replace its battery, I realized a watch press was needed to reinstall the backing. I took the watch to Alans and a pleasant young woman fixed my problem at no charge. In the short time I waited, I was asked by no less than three other friendly, non-pushy associates if I needed any help. I ve bought quite a bit of jewelry at Allen s in Asheville NC and my pleasant experiences have usually been with male jewelers. So I told an associate I had to run to my car for my wallet as I was waiting while my watches were being sized. When I came back I just browsed the display patiently and about 20 min into it she called me out rudely asking me if I was being helped. I was stunned being profiled so unprofessionally and she was adamant and loud enough to summon the manager. I just froze and nodded my head. The manager smiled meakly and left. I was super uncomfortable and am not sure I ll be returning to that pawn broker. Thanks

This place will RIP you off. They Dont give you what your stuff is worth Tried to give me $82 for something that was worth/and payed for well over $400 thats not even 60% of what its worth. So I constantly buy and sell guitars, I had a exclusive flying v guitar (which I dont play hardly at all) and decided to part ways with it, took it to this Location curious what they would give me and the manager said he can buy a brand new one for 140 dollars lol I said show me where cause everything is listed from reverb, guitar center, ebay, and etc for the lowest being 590 to the highest being 875. He said he wanted it cause of how unique it is but would only give me 140. I think he was thinking I was hard up for money (which I am not) and was just going to jump on the offer fast. It really shows why Facebook market place is hurting pawn shops now

I have been to this particular branch of Alan s as well as Tunnel Rd. I prefer the branch on Patton Ave. the staff are always so polite, knowledgeable, and respectful of the customer. I want to tell yall that the jeweler Benjamin is Awesome. Beautiful work he did for me. Just gorgeous very satisfied. Lucky to have him. And then is carol. She is wonderful. Very knowledgeable helped me pick out Beautiful earrings. 2 pair of diamonds. I am a very good customer there but these two associates made my mothers day just the best. They needed to be commenced on there job!!!

I really love the jewelry I picked out but ended up not buying three rings that i absolutely loved. This is because despite the sign that says first resizing free I was told it would cost me 350$ a PIECE to resize the rings I wanted. This cost Allen s pawn an additional 800$ sale to go down the tubes. Too bad for them.
