We were in a pretty tough situation where our original lender really dropped the ball and told us 6 days before closing that X, Y, and Z things needed to be repaired at the home we were purchasing before they could even begin underwriting - basically, an impossible request for us to close on the new house before we would lose it. Steve and his team stepped in, and in 7 business days, got us ready and we closed only 3 days after we were initially hoping to with the first lender. They must have set a personal record for how quickly they were able to finalize everything for us. 10/10, would recommend to anyone that is purchasing a home!

I have purchased several properties over the years. I will say without a doubt that Steve Cooper is the most competent, responsive and trustworthy lender with whom I have had the pleasure of working. It tends to be challenging for me to qualify for a loan having a rather complicated property history and several different small sources of income. We originally were planning on working with a well reviewed national company, but ended up switching to Steve and GoPrime due to an appraisal issue, and we are so glad that we made the switch! Steve and his team worked after hours multiple times to help us meet a tight timeline (we had 3 weeks to close and were totally ready with a week to spare), walked us through every step of the process, and ultimately were also able to give us the best rate. They were better than all the other companies we talked to in every respect, and were also really wonderful people to work with. We had a couple delays with our builder and they were gracious enough to let us do some minor extensions of our rate lock which really helped ease some stress during such a busy time. Ive owned many homes and, without a doubt, Steve Cooper and his staff delivered the best mortgage service Ive ever received. The refinance of my home to lower the interest rate was complicated by a recently implemented time requirement by VA. Steve worked diligently to ensure the loan was approved. This was my third time working with Steve on a home purchase. For two of those purchases, I was pushed into working with a lender that was recommended by my realtor, and on both of those purchases I ended up moving to Steve to clean up the mess and get me back on track to a successful closing. Every realtor has a lender that they buddy up with. Do yourself a favor and don t just go with your realtor s recommendation. Steve and his team will make sure all the boxes are checked and that your loan process is seamless. The home buying process can be stressful. Your best bet is to get the right people working with you from start to finish to insure a positive experience.

Sadly this posting only allows for 5 stars. Reality is that it should be 7 stars. GoPrime was recommended by a couple of close friends. In these trying times the GoPrime staff did a fabulous job. To this day I have not met personally with any of the staff. We practiced social distancing (like thousands of miles). Everything was handled electronically. From start to finish the process took just over 1 month even with all the new -19 requirements and procedures that must be followed. They never missed a beat. I would recommend them to anyone wishing to sell/ buy or refinance a home like I did.

My husband and I are new to the state and a year out , based on reviews, I reached out to Steve. As first time home buyers, we had lots of questions about the process and how to prep for applying for a mortgage. He took time after work hours to sit with my husband and I and go over information. When we were finally ready we reached out to him first and once again he met with us after business hours as my husband works an hour from Steves office. He was smart and kind. He didnt pressure us in any way and gave us as much information as we asked for to get us moving on the right track. He even recommended relators to us. (We used that suggestion and they are fantastic as well) Steve is great! He was so patient. Also very responsive to my one-off emails because sometimes I cant stop asking questions. I received a 100k pre-approval in September. We found a property and went under contract on October 31. It is now December 28th and the THIRD closing date for us and these folks still are not ready and we are missing yet another closing. My loan has been passed around from their affiliate in Florida to processors in Charlotte and Cary. I have dealt with over six different people and have been given the run around. I personally held a mortgage license in the past and have NEVER seen such STAGGERING INCOMPETENCE in a professional organization. I WOULD NOT ever recommend these people to anyone and if I were not already invested in this process for over 2k out of pocket I would walk away. Awful customer service, awful handling of processes and paperwork and awful communication within the organization. RUN AWAY!

The seller had received multiple offers and was ready to accept one before I even got to see the house, but the other party had to change their loan & financing terms and their offer fell through. Steve and his team, which includes Denise and Nikki are excellent! They made it possible for me to own an home at a monthly cost lower that the rent at my former apartment. The best thing about them is that they treat you like a human being. They are positive and kind, they go out of their way to make sure that your dream of owning a house comes true. And once that is accomplished, they are genuinely happy for you!

Our real estate broker, Heidi Harris (Home Sweet Heidi), recommended Steve Cooper as our mortgage broker and he was excellent! With a baby on way (and well into our third trimester), we had a very tight timeline for our move. Our closing was 30 days and due diligence only 2 weeks. Thats not a lot of time to get things turned around but Steve worked diligently to secure the conditional approval we needed to feel comfortable before the end of our due diligence period. He and his team (Denise & Nikki) were in constant communication on what they needed from us and where we stood in the approval process. We were never left wondering or second guessing and everything went smoothly to secure final approval and prepare for closing. Not only was Steve great with communication and timeliness but he also helped us get the best loan structure at the most competitive rates. We were purchasing a larger home and, even with 20% down, the loan balance was higher than the limits for a standard loan. Instead of a jumbo loan at a higher rate, Steve worked with us to get a back to back loan structure in place which included a primary and then a smaller equity loan - both at great rates. We couldnt be happier with our experience with Steve and would highly recommend his services to anyone looking for a reliable, fast and efficient mortgage lender!

We started to looked to purchase our first home in January of 2017 and we had no idea how to start as I called several people then came acrossed Steve Cooper and his team. Steve was fantastic. He and his team made the new home purchase process so easy for us. When I bought my first house it was a nightmare going through the process. I dreaded going through it again. We started or home search back in October 2015 and were put in touch with Steve and his team. They offered up so much advice to us over the next few months while we searched to help us guarantee our loan. Steve is very knowledge as is his team. I purchased a home in North Carolina while still living in California. Steve Cooper and his team did an great job dealing with the fact that I was not in this state so a bit of coordination had to be done. Steve Cooper made an extremely complicated loan approval an ease. He was sensitive to our concerns and showed a lot of patience when we didn t understand something. Most of all I valued his impeccable response time either via phone, text or email. He even responded to our needs while he was on vacation.
