Horrible post-closing experience. What should ve been a great milestone turned out to be a nightmare of a few weeks. To start things off, we were rushed into settling on a high interest rate, when, not even a month later, the rate went down by one full percentage point. We were told by our loan officer (V.G) our loan would be sold sometime in the future after closing. Didn t realize this sometime in the future meant literally a few days after moving in. The real nightmare began when, after closing, the mythical post closing department informed our loan officer, who then informed us, that we would need to remove asbestos from the property (something that, mind you, we knew was present during our initial inspection and knew that if it wasn t bothered or disturbed, wouldn t be an issue). If it had to be removed somewhere down the line, fine, but not within a week of us moving in. Our inspection was done weeks prior, which detailed the asbestos. As a seasoned mortgage and loan professional (of over 30 years by their statement), it was extremely deceptive and surprising that they had no inclination that an asbestos removal would be possibly necessary and required before the loan was sold. We were not expecting to spend additional money right off the bat. Adding insult to injury, our loan officer basically ignored our repeated questions on the timeline of getting this done. When we asked to speak to the post-closing department, we were denied. When we asked when this needs to be done, ASAP. When we asked (repeatedly) what would the repercussions be of NOT getting this done immediately, silence. Great customer service! So seeing that we felt we were up against a hard deadline, we hired a referred general contractor (another $5000+ out of pocket) who ended up doing a bad job, which has led to our boiler malfunctioning (another future costly expense). The post-closing department would not take written confirmation that we are fine with the asbestos being present. The company, as a whole, only cared about selling the loan off to another company. And now we, as new homeowners, are out thousands of dollars out of pocket because of their greed and their thinly veiled threatening email which demanded we get rid of the asbestos. This company was referred to us by another individual who I imagine had a better experience, but I 100% regret doing business with anyone from this company and wish I would ve gone with anyone else. Potential home-buyers, BEWARE and please look elsewhere!!

My brother-in-law recently used Meadowbrook for a mortgage on his house and suggested I look into using them for my first house. My husband and I couldn t be happier with the support we received from Francesco and EJ throughout the process of buying our first home! Everything was made very clear to us and there were no hidden surprises anywhere. We were advised on when to lock in on a rate which turned out to be a perfect time because rates started increasing again right after we locked in. Both Francesco and EJ made themselves readily available to us at all times of the day, seven days a week, to answer any questions that we had along the way. Even though I live in Tennessee and they are based in NY I have so many great things to say about Francesco and Victoria. They have really gone above and beyond so we can get closed. They are always available to answer questions, even got on calls with my student loan provider to help get my payment reduction revised and processed faster. I can t say how much, one singular persons commitment to his job and his clients make this terribly extraneous process accomplishable. My mom completed a buy and sell and can t stress how invaluable Cornelius McDonough. I don t know who else works at this local bank but I will bet my last dollar they will never provide you the level of service this gentleman provides. The only way to describe it is to say he cares about the entirety of the process and as if every Penny is his own. Please request his service and guidance because his principles are unmatched.

Avoid this firm at all costs!! We were quoted Cash to close - $42K...Not including the $10k for attorneys fees, title abstract so we were looking at almost $53K to close!! We closed on our home with a cash to close cost of less than $18K INCLUDING ATTORNEYS FEES, TITLE ABSTRACT, ETC!!! I bet if you were to look up PREDATORY LENDING in the dictionary, you would see Meadowbrook Financial in the picture!! UNREAL!!

Victoria Farrell is incredible - I referred her a customer of mine (State Farm Agent) who was trying to close on a new purchase for over 3 months (after pre-approval) however, the Mortgage Broker was unreliable and could not be reached. When it came down to the final days prior to closing he was completely unavailable and the entire deal was going to fall apart. We had already secured the Homeowners Insurance for over 2 months. Attorneys were already set, the seller was freaking out, and the buyer reached out to me to ask for help. This is when I reached out to Tori and she was immediately able to save the day. Horrible My experience was absolutely abysmal! My loan officer did not guide me through this process at all. He arbitrarily came up with numbers and extra fees without any real explanation, had the appraisal company charge me twice that I discovered on my own, went on vacation and did not secure proper back up support so I ended up missing my original closing date then charged more because of it. Completely unprofessional and the opposite of transparent. My closing statement changed 3 times within 3 days of closing. It could just be my loan officer but he is a reflection of the company.

Do not use this company. They are absolutely horrible . They never answer now that we are under contract. It s absolutely insane. I ve worked with many lender companies before and I ve never seen anything like this. On my initial call after telling Alan, our lender, we were under contract he cussed me out and hung up on me because I asked if he could tell me what our approx monthly payment would be. Absolutely insane. Someone professional like that should never hang up on you like this.

Cornelius turn out to be one of the best persons I have ever met, he was patient with me, he answered every call and every question. He has a wealth of information regarding the home buying process in all aspect of purchasing a property. Darren Lum was my mortgage adviser for our first home in Levittown that we purchased on February 4 2021. It was an incredibly complicated and at times, difficult transaction. Mainly, this was due to the sellers probate . There were plenty of occasions when it looked as though the chances of ultimately owning the house were between slim and none due to the hurdles we were going through with the seller. It is without any question that the reason we own this house today is because of Darren Lum. There is simply no possible way this outcome would have been reached if he were not gently steering all parties by his countless calls, messages, updates and most critically, his very sound advice. I asked Joe Peres from MeadowBrook Financial Mortgage Bankers at westbury to issue a denial letter a month and the company hasn t issue this letter. I ve been trying to reach Joe for over month and now he doesn t answer my text, phone calls or emails. This experience has been frustrating and very unprofessional from MeadowBrook. I have reported this company to the BBB and NYS licensing department because they have put me in a position where I can lose my deposit as a result of breach of contract because MeadowBrook hasn t issue the denial letter. I have learned my lesson to never work with a loan officers and realtors who know each other (like in this case) because I feel that MeadowBrook has created a conflict of interest hence why I m not getting my denial letter. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! People be careful - look elsewhere for a loan because if something goes wrong with the process you may be facing a similar situation with this company.

UNBELIEVABLE EXPERIENCE. MIKE GALARZA AND HIS TEAM WERE AMAZING THE ENTIRE PROCESS. WE PURCHASED A HOME AND HE WAS READY TO CLOSE WITHIN 30 DAYS. WE WERE CLEARED. OUR SELLERS DELAYED THE CLOSING SO IT WAS PUSHED BACK HOWEVER MIKE MADE SURE EVERYTHING WAS STILL BUTTONED UP ON OUR END. GREAT EXPERIENCE AND WILL ONLY USE MIKE IN THE FUTURE.

Thankfully I didn t lose money but my loan officer had a TRASH attitude. I had to remind him I was the customer! Very rude and pompous! I am HAPPY my loan closed and I no longer have to do much more than pay the loan through the automation.

After an extra month of delays due to delays from the economic crisis this bank pulls a Bait and switch right before closing . I was advised no additional fees , I was completely under duress with this loan due to the timing delays and my buyers on my sale needing me out . When I reviewed saw commitment fee of $795.00 I was not advised of and an additional title review fee $400 plus the $895.00 application fee. I reached out at the loan officer at the attorneys office and was advised it would be handled and returned. I followed up with manager Steve who then advised nothing he could do that these fees are charged to everyone. I advised my attorney said they were excessive and the fact that I was not made aware of and then told would be refunded is deceptive. I would definitely not recommend using the services at this bank after this horrifying experience. Consumers beware!

My loan officer, Rajin Ramdehall, did an excellent job addressing all my concerns and making this entire process easy. Most of the paperwork was done thru the companies APP which made the entire process quick and painless, especially during this COVID pandemic. Thank you very much Rajin for all your help.

Basically after 3 months of my mortgage being on hold due to the economic crisis, my broker tried to pull a bait-and-switch with me whereby he insisted that I pay 1 point for the mortgage to go through. When we negotiated the terms there were no points; and then 3 months later after paying $850 for an appraisal and wasting my time the broker insisted I pay a point. Also, his math skills were completely lacking and he couldnt figure out the very simplest of things like the amount of interest to be paid over the life of the loan; or how long it would take me to pay off my previous mortgage. Despite his arrogance, and his insistence that he had 19 years in the business and that numbers dont lie - in the end either he had no grasp on the way mortgages work -OR- he was just a first class shyster. When all was said and done, I have come to the conclusion that it was probably a little bit of both. On the other hand, once I was able to work out the problems resulting from the bait-and-switch, I found Meadowbrooks legal team to be excellent. Overall, I found the lawyer with whom I worked to be very professional, courteous and pleasant. If only the broker had been the same...

Matthew Holly made buying our new home seem like a breeze! He was diligent, knowledgeable, hard working, and always a phone call/ text away. Despite the challenges the Coronavirus pandemic presented, we were able to close from start to end in approximately 3 and a half weeks which is unheard of! My fiancé and I have recommended two of our family/friends and cannot rave enough about him!

Victoria Farrell is a Loan processor at Meadowbrook Financial Mortgage Bankers Corp company she provided me with my first home loan with all the trimmings, but without the hassle. The Meadowbrook Financial mortgage is the same as any other mortgage co., but the service the personal touch was spectacular and unexpected for my first experience. The company had some of the lowest percentage rates anywhere, I liked the versatility it was offering, all the e-sign documents was so user-friendly. Every step and question was clearly explained, including why it was being asked. This gave me a sense of encouragement and confidence, she walked me through the whole process. I would recommend this company to anyone who wants a scary but fulling situation to go quickly and successfully.
