From my personal experience New City has been a great company to work with. Everytime I called, I usually speak to the same person. Always a polite lady and never gave me an issue. I elected to communicate via email and always had the same point of contact (Jose) throughout my deal. I'd use them again.

If I could leave a negative 5 I would, I purchased a used car through new city funding in 2014. Took the car to go on a trip down south seven days after purchase and car died so I had it towed to a shop for repairs. Upon completion of repairs got not even two miles up the road and car died again so had it towed back to shop where mechanic said car was no good to take it back to dealer. New city repoed the vehicle and is still garnishing my wages for payment when I haven’t had the car for a few years. I am stuck making payment on property that I don’t even have after they repoed it. Make it make sense please. Please, please, please do not deal with this company, in my opinion they are crooks.

They love to go with companies who sell LEMONS. Finaced my car 11/06/2022, check engine light turned on 03/07/2023 O2 sensor faulty, check engine light turned on again 07/15/2023 O2 sensor different bank. 10/27/2023 check engine light on yet again waited till 11/09/2023 to bring it in due to it needing to be reinspected spent $3,567.88 to get inspected 03/22/2024 officially inspected had t wait for parts. 04/01/2024 check engine light back on yet again brought it to get a diagnostic test was told to basically scrap the car another $8,145.72 estimate for it to pass inspection next year that it should’ve never passed this years inspection has a junk yard engine

Try not to borrow from these guys if you can, it looks like they'll do all they can to squeeze an extra buck from you- from cancelling your autopay without telling you to preventing you from making a payment that will fully close your account. The online experience seems to be willfully obfuscated (if not simply done poorly). My loan should have been fully paid off three months ago, and SHOULD be paid off now, if I can believe the agent I was on the phone with. However, the amount she told me to pay (and I authorized) was different from the amount I was shown on their online portal, so I guess we'll see.

Staff at new city funding is rude and don’t listen or take notes. Over priced and terrible. They add like $200 in interest every day. Do not use them! I ended up voluntarily repoing the car bc I got tired of paying for a car that I was putting more money into than it was worth. They called me 10x a day after that saying I had to pay them the remaining balance and if I didn’t they would sue me. I told them I wasn’t paying anything because I already paid more than the car is worth. I also disputed the charge from my credit. AGAIN DO NOT USE THEM AS A LOAN COMPANY. YOU WILL REGRET IT!

I don’t know why the reviews are so one sided toward this company. I personally have never experienced any problems most customers are experiencing. Maybe, because I’m out of state but either way. I truly appreciate their customer service team for working with me this month on my first ever late payment. I called NCFC back on 6/7/23 and within a few minutes was connected to a lovely agent…explained how I get paid bi weekly and my rent was due, so my car payment would be late. The agent was so nice she looked up my account saw I was never, ever late before and since I live in Massachusetts she stated I had 15 days grace period, don’t even need that much time (which is extremely considerate for any company).
Today 6/14/23 - made the payment should be posted by tomorrow. All in all I will be recommending this company to anyone looking for a good financial company for their car. I’m a firm believer that if you call in and demand or expect a certain dynamic right away your overall experience will be bad, but if you just relax and understand that the representatives deal with jerks all day long, maybe your experience would be different!

Let's get the rest of her blood squeezed since she is rid of us. Two words...NEVER AGAIN. I was never late on a payment. They just couldn't let me go with a good experience of paying off the car .

They sell u a honker so u doesnt deserve a stare at all do not uses this company drive it for a week an there no way u can fix it are repair. It my timing belt went so u need a hole new engine u can get a loan on a vehicle that has over 1000k miles an that what they want u to fail I would not do it company that take zero responsibility for garbage please do not get lending from this company if u are smart as they take advantage of ppl with low credit an do not report good payments to ur credit company

They dont deserve even 1 star. 30 month lease and you miss one payment, these fools wont even email you a statement of all your payments. I promise if you call me again and threaten to repo my car (owe 210) cause of fines. You will spend plenty more on coming to get it. Rethink your practice. One more threatening phone call, which I record them all, you will have a lawsuit bigger than you think. Stay away from this lender. They lend to the fools that rotate visas

I financed a vehicle from Cedars Auto Sale. After taking it to the BMW, there were several issues including needing an entire engine replacement. I m very aware of the warranty I signed but I m also aware that I was obligated to be told IN THAT WARRANTY the issues the vehicle had, which I wasn t. After calling New City Funding to figure out my options, I was told two different things. The First Lady told me to contact the dealer and figure my options out, call them back and then they will start an investigation . Another lady told me I could voluntary surrender my vehicle. Today I called to see wether New City Funding takes into accountability that they are partnering with a business and approving people to be sold LEMONS, the First Lady continued to talk over me then hung up on my face. I called back and spoke to the same lady who gave me the option to surrender the vehicle and she told me things like this only get reported back IF I TAKE THEM TO COURT . I gladly will! With these reviews, this entire company is clearly unprofessional, they all sound like recovering addicts but I guess when youre paid to sit in an office and steal peoples money, you don t have much decorum. If you re not going to reply with a higher ups contact information, I d advise not to bother.

They dont report your payments to any credit bureaus at all I have a car that I purchased over a year ago. The car place shut down almost a month after my purchase. I was told they would report this to all 3 credit bureaus and that was a lie. I asked them to come get the vehicle because of financial hardships and they said it goes on my credit as a repo and Im still responsible for paying for the vehicle even if they come get it. Stay away from these modern day crooks you can do better.

Not a good bank experience . I was offered a new loan and just to transfer what I owe to that new loan then the company has no note of this and reports the $226 that I had of a balance after paying off 9k in the SAME MONTH which drops my credit score 45 points !!! . I tried calling and all the managers act clueless to the shady offer . There is a reason for all your low ratings . I hope you guys are able to retrain all your managers so no one goes through such a horrible experience in my opinion

As long as my payments are on time or before the due date there is no issues. The staff is very respectful to the customer. This is the second vehicle financed with New City Funding and they are great!!! Again, as far as dealing with this organization I am very pleased.

Terrible funding Corp. I do not suggest anybody get a loan through them or work with them. The people who work there are very rude especially the lady in the repo department April. I ve called multiple times and I ve ignored my calls or answered and heard my name and hung up the same second, I tried resolving a problem we have & they didn t care to resolve it. All they want to do is take your money and your property. Do Not Suggest Will be going to the state and BBB

2 to 3 years ago I got cancer was unable to go to work. They sued me for the truck that had transmission issues. I called and tried to return the vehicle. They would not take it back. The company took me to court. The judge ruled in my favor. Now they are bringing me back to court in August. Isnt that double jeopardy?

I am 63 years old womem, and my life is turning out to be so badly and New City funding is adding to my trumer. I just got out of surgery and my car was stolen from for almost 3 months and they are not giving me no help to get though this and repo my car after I told them the police found my car. I kept in contact with them the whole time. I feel like i was set up by them . I called in to make arrangements that they agreed with to catch up with my payments. TWO days later, they repo my car. Do you not understand how betrayed i feel . I understand im still required to pay, but im a victim. They called police on a 63 yr old womem and police made me give the tow man my keys, and thats against the law, and its not right. Im being targeted and punished again for being a victim of a crime. Now you all just put me back in the same situation i was in when the car was stolen. Im so stressed out and now physically hurting because i thought you all had empathy and my back, though this hole thinks. Now i see you guys was just trying to find a way to take my car just like the person who stole it. Im a victim of a crime, and now im a victim of betrayal. I paid off 3 cars, and this would have been my 4 one. You took my car after I had paid the tow fees for it being stolen. Now you all got me playing more towing fees and plus the bill. I needed time for something that was out of my control, and New City funding took advantage of it. I want to make my payments on time, but i cant do that if you all are just going to be nasty and lie to me. You all said i have until the 1st to pay 600 and 2 days later you taking my car. Now i have to pay a crazy amount to get my car back that i might not afford.

Some of the staff is friendly and ready to help. There is one man who says he owns the company who has a nasty attitude and starts to cuss at you during your conversation. When you try to get your questions answered it is a horrible experience that ends with you hanging up in frustration. Unfortunately you dont get a name from the person answering the call so I cant put his name out there... If he really is the owner he will make you not even want to do business with the company. Worst experience ever I would not recommend this company to my enemy.

This is my second time financing through New city. The first time I received my payment book, this time I am 2 years into paying and STILL NO PAYMENT BOOK! I ve called numerous times and get the same response it s done through a third party, I can message them . I WANT MY BOOK! I am paying blindly not knowing how many payments I have left, they are probably robbing me blind!

They are great willing to work with people that are running into a problem with payment late. Other finance companies wouldnt be so forgiving with a late payment. Customer service is good they always answer their phone.

I have had my loan with New City Funding corp for almost 2 years, they have always been helpful and i ve never had any issues or complaints. But after almost 2 years what made me come here to write a review was the wonderful customer service rep I spoke to this morning. When I called I was stressed out and tired, Beverly answered the phone and though our conversation was brief she left an impression on me. She was so warm and kind. Her demeanor and voice is soft and it put a smile on my face. So I m here to say thank you to Beverly, this just goes to show the smallest acts of kindness can go a long way. Stay kind and keep doing exactly what you re doing, you re amazing

I dont know why anyone would complain about New City Funding. This is my 3rd time dealing with them, and they were great evry time. Unlike other lenders they dont charge a daily interest and penalty especially if you pay on time every month. New City is the only onea I found that doesnt rip peopke off at all. No daily interest or penalties as long as you make your on time payments.

Im shocked they dont have less stars. Their customer service is terrible. I was a day late with my car payment because I live in Buffalo NY and we got a Christmas Eve (48 in of snow) blizzard that lasted a week before snow was even moved and roads were plowed, & power was restored. I wish I could see the customer service reps gave. She called and asked when will you have your car payment? I stated today, Sorry I live in Buffalo and as you know we had a blizzard, the rep states okay and hangs up. Whatever. I work on the phone all day and you really need to be more into your customers. This isnt the first time Ive had such a useless conversion with someone there. They called me before asking where my payment was and I already paid! No sorry or nothing. At least I got a car loan then I guess.

If I could leave zero stars I would First of all they deal with the SHADIEST car dealerships - ones that get closed for fraud. Which makes sense because they re even worse ! Customer service ? AWFUL. No compassion whatsoever ever. Get into an accident ? Try to change your policy to just liability to keep it in affect until you get a new car, they laugh and ask why you would need insurance if your care if a total loss. All together an AWFUL AWFUL company. If your car dealership works with these people RUN FAR AND RUN FAST. Oh and the owner Ronald and the manager Denise and the manager Nia are the worst people to try to talk to. AWFUL AWFUL BUSINESS.

Fair and polite. Went through the whole pandemic with late payments and they worked with me. Hoping to not need to pay 18% anymore but it did help when i needed it. My mistake was i purchased an unreliable 2011 bmw with high mileage. If i had purchased a more reliable car, I would have had no problem with the payments and would give them 5stars instead or 4. Recommend to people who only need it. thank you.

They work with incredibly sketchy dealers. They Works with a dealer that was allowed to cancel an auto contract After it had already been funded And the first payment had already been made. They allow the dealer to cancel the contract and keep my down payment. We spoke to five different people at the bank and they all told us something different.

RUNNNN FROM THESE GUYSSSSS, I got a car and when it left the lot I owed 8,100 almost 2 years later my car was totaled in a accident not my fault it said I owed 6,200 on the car still no breaks from these guys, I reported it to them and told them it would be paid off, $4.25 a day for late payments and how did I still owe that much hmmm I didnt thays why, they will Take advantage of you as much as possible, The car I got was in the shop 60 days of the 1st 90 days of ownership

Go with any other lending company a buy here pay here is a better option you will pay for your vehicle twice if not three times over in just interest it s not worth it! No car is worth it and no company should be allowed to charge credit card interest rates for a car loan

This lender is extremely rude I spoke with somebody name Lauren she works in repo department she hung up on me multiple times she talked over me she questioned me about my health when that s not her job title to do I m over it I can not wait until my loan is over and paid for because I am never ever financing with them ever again this has been a very good lesson for me it showed me that I can definitely do better by keep building my credit score to get me a better vehicle and a lender I m 20 so I do have lots and lots to learn but this will be my last ! Anyways Lauren has been very unprofessional I have her on video on how she was speaking to me for the past couple of days she also has been calling me private harassing me as well and I do have proof of that little do Lauren knows a police report has been submitted and I will be contacting corporate about it because that is definitely not a way to perform a job I also spoke with Lynn the supervisor she is nice she solved the issue and she listened to my frustration with Lauren but I still think it s a red flag to how Lauren is still occupied with a job with causing emotional distress to customers it s sickening and I m taking FURTHER action.

Totaled my car with them 3 payments left I was denied a car because I was told I cant get help with hardship or anything and I had a choice pay old new or try to get new one so I can have a way to work to get new funding there 3 payments and now I cant get a car smh I cant wait to get out of this never again I feel I never want to finance a car again they where paid 90% of my loan and put on my credit I owe the whole loan not what I actually owe its not fair

Worse lender unless your credit is bad and you need something asap besides that STAY AWAY these guys dont even let you make car payments with credit or debit cards you need to live next to a cvs in order to make a payment , they dont do refinance so you would have to get another lender and put yourself in a deeper debt in order to leave them. Honestly only thing good is they accept bad credit but besides that in my personal experience opinion there horrible sorry

Please stop dealing with these people. I m not even sure why they are a lender. They are for people that are desperately in need a vehicle and will do or fix anything to get you in one. I dealt with this bank 2 separate time on my own in 2016 April 24th went to auto mart in Delaware on Kirk wood high way was sold a Dodge Caliber 2010 check engine light came on when I test drove it to get gas across the street . They stayed that was the only car I was approved for . The car never passsed inspection from April till January , have transmission stilled around October . The dealer promises to fix and didn t and they allow a lemon to go in to contract and have a lien on the vehicle before know if it was a drivable car or not. Car was rigged if all speaker wires faulty system. 2 time when to New Jersey and got a car for my girlfriend , last a month and blew head gasket . Not to mention car kept shutting off since the first day we got it. Completely lose power. Chrysler 200 . Left was at risk majorly most of the time it was drivable driving on different high was and just shutting off . The bank doesn t care they just want there money for a lemon they over tax. With a passion I hate this company and I ve never had this anger toward no one in my life but these people are SCAMMERS STAY AWAY !!

I just called and talked to someone named Denisse she was excessively rude, I was trying to help and all I got was someone talking to me like I was her daughter. Very unprofessional, plus the company doesn t even care about the quality and the true value of the vehicles that they finance. Very disappointed and willing to start a voluntary repossession even if that means damaging my credit score.

This is a great company. We have been doing business with them for some time now and they are very helpful with any questions and concerns always wiling to give credit challenged customers a chance when no one else will. My customers have told me there always friendly when they call them and never have a problem i would reccomend them to any dealer that wants a good subprime finance company for small auto loans to give them a chance.

I called to make an arrangement w a rep and she was kind enough to make it for me.. then my account manager called me later that evening and said that I couldn t go w that arrangement.. i made another one w him.. the day before the arranged date i came outside and my car was gone.. i called to see what happened and not only did the supervisor April couldn t help me but couldn t even tell me where my car was..very unprofessional and big fat liars..i will get out of this deal as soon as i can .. I m giving them five star because they were the only one willing to lend me a loan with bad credit (500 s) Just make sure to pay off debt before high interest. Customer service were fine we ve had our dispute were I wanted a letter to show I paid off the car loan they didn t provide spoke with supervisor and it was done. Oh and they give a 20 day grace period to make payment. I recommend just be sure to pay extra in case you miss a payment it can be used as a back up.

I have no complaint about the company itself, my complaint is about the people that represent the company. The representative name Heather and who I was told was a supervisor Nina are very unprofessional and rude. Not only did Heather slam the phone down in my ear, the supervisor Nina was even more unprofessional and refuse to give me the owner information in order to send a complaint. I told her she do not need my social security number to give me a name and address to send a complaint and once again she refused over and over. I then told her to forget it that I would look it up online and she stated, whatever, we ll do that , bye and slammed and hung up. These workers need more training on customer service and how to talk to people regardless of that customer situation. Its not up to the representative to get nasty and rude in order to get payments. Terrible. Unprofessional, rude.

They lost the title and didn t let us know after multiple months, and were very rude when calling about the titles status. -rep would rather go to a different funding company.

I m an auto dealer and I ve dealt with many banks but new city is By far the easiest to work with. I ve done hundreds of deals with them and everyone there is respectful and pleasant to work with. Customers need to understand they re giving you a second chance at an auto loan so if you make your payments on time your credit improves and it will be easier getting another loan in the future! 5 stars

Ive been through a lot of loan companies before. New City Funding was/is the best! Heather, my agent worked through some very hard times that I was going through, and never once threaten, strong armed, or acted in any other way other than nice. My car could have been repossessed on several occasions, but I always answered the calls, and they worked through all of my difficult times. Thank you Heather. Thank you New City Funding.

Once you miss a payment, they turn in ya! They have no consideration for the people involved. You set up payment arrangements, and they take control. Threaten repossession even after payment arrangements have been made and fallowed. Never again will I use them, nor recommend them. They just dont care about anyone but themselfs.

Aweful, just aweful. I have never in my life dealt with so so many rude, and arrogant employees. One hung up when she didnt want to hear the truth. Take my name and phone number off my daughters application. You have no problem calling me and leaving messages when she struggles to keep up with her payments. Your company wont even work with customers. Good luck to new customers i wont be interacting with this company ever again. You can keep in touch with the car owner not i.

I had just recently been in an accident per not know what was going to happen with my car I had called to ask some questions the woman on the phone was very short and not to mention I could hear she had a mouth full of food . As someone who s been put in a very difficult situation who s trying to make sure they have all the information they need to be sure their loan gets paid off properly it s hard to believe someone could be so unprofessional.

I just made my last payment with these guys and I felt like I really, really needed to leave a comment! I really dont know what to say but they are awesome and if theres any question who to finance through, these are your guys!!! Dont hesitate, just do it! Youll be extremely happy! Any time I needed to call, for any reason, they were great, no judgement, just wanted to solve the problem and were cool as can be! I think may actually miss talking to them! It was that kind of experience!!! I want to thank them as well! Keep up the good work and remember that people do appreciate you!!!

They re the nicest people ever...... UNTIL you miss a payment, then they become the most rude, ghetto, unprofessional people you ll ever speak to. I was only behind on a payment for 2 weeks, told them I d make the payment next week because I started a new job. They said ok we have you down for next week and they repossessed my car the next day just to scam a extra $400 repossession fee out of me. My advice, get your credit right and go through a REAL bank

Have a 36 month lease to own threw them. My payments are not bad however every single month after the first three payments ive had my truck i had to call for my pin. I sent in the text me my pin paper work 4 times and they no longer call me with my pin. I also paid 6 months in advance amd got 6 pins to enter each month. 5 of those pins were wrong and i had to call them again every month for pins. With technology taking over the world this company needs to invest in an easier way to dish out pins. Would also prob save having office personal also gotta soend money to make money.

Rates are too high down payment too high and car dealer was Iffy suggesting if you have poor credit this about the best you can expect. Got the loan in April have yet to see a payment book even though I asked for it as I want to switch to mailing payment. Had a nasty encounter early on but manager made nice for me it could be worse not an experience I care to repeat but if I have to .I will have to use a better dealer or a private sale

I have been in the customer Service business for over 40 years an i know what it is to fulfill that position. I want to say Amanda B definitely has this skill. Thank you for responding to my review. Over most I believe you guys are aware that the customer service may be the worst that many of us have experienced. The representatives are rude, disrespectful and totally unhelpful nine times out of ten. They speak to customers like they re speaking to someone on the street. Second I think it s unfair to not offer refinancing options. Lastly you guys won t rollover a loan, I m sure most of the cars you guys finance are older vehicles and are prone to breakdown.

I hate this place i called legit 6 times in a row and no answer execpt for the 1st one and the lady hung up on me, and everytime i call the person im talking to has a disgusting and nasty attitude and has hung up before, honestly all woman on the phones should be fired and replaced! Beverly has been amazing. Honestly the past 6 months have been really testing our faith. We recently moved and had two incomes but my fiancee needed emergency spinal surgery so we lost an income and ive been home from work a lot caring for her. Then when we finally get our heads above water someone broke in to our car and stole our rent and car payment money. For having no credit, the Only place that would take a chance on me is New City Funding. And I am so happy they exist when EVERYONE either said NO or wanted me to pay $450/mo for 3 years? NCF made it possible for me to get a great used car and my credit is getting rebuilt! Beverly is so kind and caring, I made my payment today and she was super fast and knows her stuff! I have been super pleased with their customer service!

I was blessed to be able to gain financing through the company and I love that I can communicate with my rep Elizabeth C via email when super busy. As a single mother of 6 kids lifes hectic and I cant always be available by phone but she is very quick to respond via email thank you for your patience with me when i am late. This is the worse place I ever had to deal with. They harrass you over . cents balance. They are rude and very aggressive. I had a rep. hang up on me 7 times after I made a payment and did not pay the 49 cents. She refused to give me my code an day car tracker was beeping very loudly. I cant wait to get ride of those monsters. They are cold and have no courtesy or lack profesionalism. THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE HORRIBLE PLACE. DO NOT finance with them.

I thought i was on a real downward spiral, Beverly reassured, worked with and helped me to make a bad time in my life (losing my mom) better. She s not just a collections supervisor, she s a caring person who isn t there to take your vehicle, she s a person who realizes life happens and makes sure things get back on track. Beverly is a asset to this company. I have spoken with many agents with in my 2 years working with NCF and she is by far the best, Her response time is great and she is always available if i have any questions or concerns. I would recommend NCF to family and friends. Edited.. I needed to change rating.. Not sure whats going on with Beverly but shes more concerned with complaining about her boss and blessing peoples lives then trying to save a loan.. I was 3 years in only 1 yr left.. I fell on hard times. I requested to defer a payment to help get my caught up or even auto pay.. When she emailed me back her only response was have a blessed life.. Like really????? . well needless to say they have their car back now.. Never work with Beverly. Never!

Id have to give New City Funding 5 Starz not because of the company, though it is a great company. Its because of this precious gem Ms.Beverly I had the pleasure of handling my account. Ive had a a couple vehicles financed with them and Ms.Beverly has been with me every step of the way. She is a rare gem, personable, charismatic, caring and compassionate woman, her candour makes you feel like family. Dealing with loans, and making payments and other aspects of things can be really stressful. Shes saved me a lot of grief, and has helped me build my credit with her jewels of advice. I would like to see Miss Beverly, train some of your customer service reps the way she deals with customers because it is totally outstanding. I Truly wish that one day I would get the opportunity to meet her face-to-face and tell her how much she has changed my life just by speaking to me on days that she calls me and I am just happen to having a bad day she always knows how to put a smile on my face she is truly a blessing and an asset to your company.May God continue to bless Miss Beverly F and her amazing work and exceeding great customer service. I truly do love Miss Beverly.

I have had New City Funding for about 3 years and they have been great to me, I talk to Beverly the most and she is by far amazing to work with when it comes to my loan.
