What a great visit to Old Town Jewelry! On my first trip to New Mexico, I was told that if I was interested in jewelry or art, I had to visit Old Town first. The selection was amazing; I walked in on the hunt for nothing in particular, and left with six pieces. Bob and the staff were delightful. They made sure to share the provenance of each piece purchased, how to take care of them and the investment they make in the buyer is worth the cost. I will wear them with pride over the coming years and anticipate a fight between my girls on who gets what! Thanks so much for a great visit!

This shop is a bit out of the way for me but so worth the drive to get there. They repaired a pair of earrings for me at a very reasonable price. Then I asked if they could repair an antique silver menorah that had been bent out of shape from a fall off its shelf. They said bring it in and we’ll see if we can. I did and the silversmith did the job right before my eyes! Everyone in the shop is very friendly and welcoming, no matter why you are there or how small the job. They also display a large selection of new and vintage sw jewelry for sale. I highly recommend them.

My husband bought my custom engagement ring from Bob 4 years ago. We were very happy with it so we got my husband’s wedding band from him as well. Bob never hesitates to make sure his customers are well taken care of. When we have had to take our rings in for cleaning, adjustments, or to check/tighten the prongs, he gets it done quick! We will go back for all of our future jewelry purchases!

I met Bob several years back when I bought a solitaire diamond ring which is beautiful and has all the sparkle I could ask for. However, this time Bob made my 30 year old dream come true. I found this picture in a magazine in 1994 and found it again recently in a book I had so, I text the picture to Bob to see if he could create it. I live in Colorado and he communicated every step of the way. Not only did he create it, he paid attention to every detail up to the exact 3.07 ct center stone. It s amazing, sparkles and so much more. Thank you Bob for making my dream come true.

We (me and 2 others in my party) were referred to OTJ to get a ring I purchased resized. We arrived and we greeted by Bob s team of incredible people. We all thought we would be dropping the ring off and heading out. Oh no! The selection of jewelry at OTJ was amazing. Each of us left with several treasures and are very happy! I was able to not only get my ring sized, but also had a custom ring made with stunning White Buffalo Turquoise. I have very large hands and this did not deter the team in creating my piece. I have another ring I ll be shipping to them for sizing and next time we re in ABQ, we will start our jewelry shopping at OTJ!

I visited thee Old Town Jewelry when they were in Old Town for over 37 years where I got excellent service and a friendly staff always willing to help, I had the occasion to visit them at their beautiful new building and I was welcomed by the same friendly staff and of course Bob. Did some shopping and got some repairs done and chatted with all of them as if I were family, those looking for beautiful jewerly and personal service need to consider making the drive and visit the New Old Town Jewelry where the only thing that has changed is the building.

Bob is the best! Thats the word-of-mouth comments I always heard. Bob this, Bob, that. Lol, its true. The service Bob gives is always first class. His jewelry selection is always rotating and changing, so its fun to stop by and see whats in. Repairs are done here, too. They do fantastic work, and they are a go-to for repairing Indian jewelry of all types, or any other jewelry.

I called Old Town Jewelry because my glasses had broken. It required a welder to fix the frame. Talked with Bob on the phone and he assured me they could take care of it. They fixed them so fast that I barely had time to have lunch before they were done. I cannot even see the place where the weld was done-see pic below. In addition, Bob and the people who work with him were very welcoming and really competent. They have an extensive display of Native American jewelry for sale. Before I walked in, I was expecting a small one person jewelry repair with a single jeweler wearing a loupe. There were many customers there and the repairs are done on premises in their shop. The business is booming and they totally deserve it. Highly recommend.

Wide assortment of items. A++++++++ service. I went in to have some watch batteries replaced thinking that I would have to drop them off and come back in a day or two. Since it happened to be slow at the moment, they replaced them while I waited. Gave me a chance to look around at their jewelry and paintings. Very friendly people.

Bob and his team are amazing. I had a ring that belonged to my grandmother that needed to be sized and according to another jeweler needed a ton of work with an estimate of around $900. I took it to Bob and he promptly told me it didn t need anything but one prong repaired and to be sized. The total was far leas than what the other store quoted me. I d put off the work because I couldn t afford it and didn t wear this precious heirloom for almost 12 years because I was terrified to lose a stone. I m so glad I listened to my best friend and went to see Bob. Not only does he do amazing repair work, but the quality of the jewelry he sales is amazing. I have several pieces from him and I wear them all the time. If he doesn t have what you want on hand his team is more than happy to order for you. I adore this group of people and am so glad to have a jeweler of my own.

This is a fabulous jewelry experience. Bob the owner is super knowledgeable and very conscientious about giving his customers a fair deal. The selection of jewelry is eclectic and unique; not the same stuff you find everywhere. They do expert repairs and restoration of antique pieces as well as appraisals and stone gradations. The staff, especially Andy, is super friendly and helpful. The atmosphere here is unlike any other business. They make you feel like an old friend.

I had a signet ring that needed the engraving redone and took it to Old Town in their new location on Academy. The engraver did a fabulous job! Monogram is perfect in script engraving! He also polished my ring to a shine it had never had! 5 stars for engraving as well as friendly, knowledgeable staff! People/places like these are hard to come by. I went in to add to my collection 6/8/23. I returned the next day and after entering my name into their system they had a question for me. The following day I went into the shop to get my new pieces and answered they re question which was if I remember leaving a watch with them 6+years ago? I said sounds just like me! Shortly after they presented me with a watch I dropped off many years ago and never picked up. I had forgotten all about it and was stoked to bring home my awesome new pieces along with something that had long since passed my mind.thank you for your time, honesty and respect. In 2017 I was struggling to get on my feet and I had pawned a special piece of jewelry of mine to help me get by. Unfortunately I wasn t able to come up with the money I needed to take my necklace out. A few weeks ago I had drove by their old shop on central. It was shut down. I called a close by pawn shop and they told me they had relocated. I called the new location and I was told they don t hold jewelry after a certain amount of time, and I had already knew that. I was put on hold and a man came in the phone and confirmed my piece of jewelry. He said he held onto it and I can go pick it up!! When I tell you my heart stopped, I couldn t believe what I heard. I cried all day and today, I picked it up and I have my heart full again!!! This place is amazing!

I had another great experience here both yesterday and today (as well the first time I shopped here a few years ago when I was in town) I purchased several pieces of silver/turquoise jewelry yesterday with the assistance of Andy (very pleasant and not at all pushy) and the owner Bob. They put together excellent prices for my pieces and even sized a ring while I waited. Today, I realized I needed another ring sized (2 rings actually) and when I arrived, I was taken care of immediately and out the door in under an hour! These folks go above and beyond to make their customers happy. Shop here-you wont be disappointed! The BEST prices on vintage and new pieces!

UPDATE: We had my husbands ring fixed next. Jeff did such an amazing job making them match. They are very reasonable and do exquisite job. I had lost the stone in my wedding ring, TWICE and had found it. So we decided to have my ring completely melted down and remade. He wasnt able to add my old ring, but he did remake it above and beyond what I could have hoped for. This is the only place I will ever take any of my jewelry ever again. And we live 250 miles away! Amazing service! I received prompt, very courtesy and professional jewelry repair service. I took in a pair of antique earrings that had the old screw backings. They converted the earrings for pierced ears...right away!! In response to William B, the policy is only about firearms. The owners, in light of the recent shootings in this country, have chosen to restrict gun sales to individuals 25 and older. I applaud this policy. Knowing the owners and this business for years now, I can attest to their generosity and excellent business practices. There is no prejudice or discrimination. They welcome all and are open to discussion with anyone who has complaint.

They are prejudice and have policies to discriminate here. Have a policy where people under 25 cannot buy certain merchandise. Blatant ageism. Negative stereotyping. Im not under 25 but the policy is nonsense. The workers were nice, but Id advise shopping somewhere else where they dont discriminate against people of the general public. Thats not ok and I dont know what kind of other nonsense prejudice and discrimination they hold.

Years of experience pawning and retrieving. When cash was non existent but my gold and silver had value, this has been the business we went to. Treated respectfully. Others I had bad dealings with. After 3 pawn shops. I tried Old Town. They treated me like a neighbor. I stayed and pawned thousands. Never lost an item.

Good shop for Native American jewelry! Beautiful items. Good prices for most items. Shop owner, Bob, a master businessman. Shop presented real family type atmosphere, which made our experience delightful. Salespersons, Ashley and Tara were patient, helpful and simply stars!

Update: after my wheelchair mishap I returned to have jewelry repaired. I had a pair of 1970s earrings from my mom, with a clip (behind the round metal) and they improved on the original design, see picture. I hadnt worn my moms earrings ever and now wear them all the time. Im super happy with the other repairs too and highly recommend Old Town Jewelry! I picked up meds at Walgreens and realized my wheelchair had ran out of juice. The owner and employees couldnt have been nicer. Since Ive got two watches that need a battery replacement and a couple of pieces of jewelry that need repair I will come back here. Ive been here about 20 minutes charging my wheelchair and everyone is great, towards each other, me and the customers.

Dont understand all the negative reviews or should I say the few negative reviews have dealt with Bob and his staff on several occasions and have always been treated very well I have bought several jewelry items from Jeff and I have never been disappointed my mom introduced me to this place about 20 years ago and like I said Ive always been treated very well I havent been there in quite some time I think its time to pay them a visit Ill see you guys soon

Was checking out the gold selection they had at the store. They have alot of optioms for. Ladys but a smaller selections of. Rings for mens but. They show me. WhT was gold and weight and % they will take off. Theyvwere honest and took their time to explaine to me since i am hard of hearing. Theybshow me why. New gold. Are lighter since goverment etc etc.. and. Decited ibwill be back to purchase a ring from them. Hope to see some 14k and they explaine they have cheaper stuff. I dont know name of metal but it dont fade or. Easily unless it drops and. How theyvrun business and. How. They warranty gold etc just alot details and. I felt like i was in a acual gold shop not felt like a pawn shop at all. She showed me which r new and used. Great people small owner but. Strong relationship with customers.

The owner and his staff are awesome. Always helpful and friendly. My wife and I have purchased numerous items from Bob and his staff, from jewelry to firearms, and we have never had a problem. I recommend this place very highly. Reading the very rare reviews who have said they were not satisfied clearly had a biased opinion before they even walked in. Once again, I would recommend this place to anybody and everybody. Best place to shop in New Mexico.

They were nice, but they lack integrity. Was lied too about the quality of the ring I bought for my girlfriend, its fake and they wanted $69 for it originally. Her finger changed colors after only a few hours of wearing it. Ruined the gifting experience for me. For a pawn shop, they have a very poor firearm selection. The area of town is perfect for their regular customer base which seemed to consist of thugs, theifs, and addicts. Begged for a good review online, and sold me junk. Avoid.

went every where in town to buy my husband a Christmas present a chain .the girls in their helped me find what he was looking for, and were very pleasant to deal with. Best price in town and it was brand new !!!! they even gift wrapped it for me one less thing to stress over. They had a large selection of new jewelry with price that couldnt be beat! well defiantly buy from again!

Bob is the best! His pricing and selection are undeniable. I truly love the friendly atmosphere (along with the quality diamonds) I never feel pressured into a purchase Im able to browse as long as I need to until I make the perfect selection to add to my collection. This place is a real gem---no pun intended. The customer service is truly outstanding. ALL the staff are friendly & helpful, and the store is neat, clean and well lit with rotating cases that make it easy to see the pieces. I thought the prices were remarkably fair with a varied selection of jewelry. Andy and Bob were so incredibly helpful and nice that Im making this my new go-to spot for gifts.

This is the only pawn shop I will ever buy or get a loan out on my jewelry. All the employees are so friendly. Especially the two behind the jewelry counter. They dont pressure you into buying anything and for that I usually end up putting something on laway. My visits have always been a positive one. They deserve a 5 star rating!!

My wife and I have been going to Old Town for over 24 years. We enjoy the friendly family staff atmosphere. Every time we walk in they greet us with open arms as well as putting a smile on our face. I cant say enough good things about Bob and everyone at Old Town Jewelry and Loan! What a great group of people to work with. My wife and I have been loyal customers for over 15 years. The quality of merchandise available is outstanding. The store is always clean and clutter free unlike a lot of the other pawn shops in town. Everyone there is family, and they treat their customers with that same sense of family. I have found some amazing deals over the years, and my wife and I, our friends and family will continue to frequent Old Town J&L as long as the doors remain open (which I am sure will be many more years to come).

Everyone at Old Town Pawn shop are extremely helpful and nice. I had a lay away there for over a year and they held on to it for me. They fixed broken jewelry that I have taken them, and above all they have been nice.
