When we were shopping for a refinance company, I was so glad we went with Get a Rate. Daniel Valencia really helped us from beginning to end with the whole process, even when we kept emailing back with questions. I would highly recommend Daniel - he was always professional and got back to us right away. He got us in touch with the people we needed and made sure we were taken care of. The whole process took us about 2 and a half months from start to finish (closing), but we did not lose our rate and even though the loan process (underwriting) was backed up, it did end up going pretty smoothly. Very satisfied.

Dan Valencia is amazing! He helped get us an extremely low interest rate while keeping our monthly mortgage payment at reasonable amount. I still brag to people about the interest rate I got! But the best part about working with Dan was his communication skills. As a first time home buyer, I knew very little about the process. However, Dan always made himself available to answer all of my questions in a timely manner. Stay away from Get a Rate. There is no consideration for clients time and effort. Whatever they say over the phone never translates to paper. Unless you want to drag out a closing for more than 2 months go with someone else. Get a Rate is as shady as it gets.

This company has ultimately tanked our deal 48 hours before closing. They had every detail pertaining to our home purchase weeks in advance and at the last minute decided we needed to pay an additional $17000 or we could not get the loan. This is after they increased closing costs by $4000 shorty before our original closing date and forced us to move the closing date. We provided all documentation in a timely manner and still had these issues that will likely not be resolved.

Anna Maciejewski was my loan officer. I had quite a few hiccups on my end that almost caused my deal to not go through and Anna ensured she did everything she could to keep me motivated and keep everything moving forward. Anna took the time to listen to my needs, answer all of my questions, and not only looked but found all the possible solutions to ensure that I would pass underwriting. She was very helpful and made sure every thing made sense financially on my end. Anna went above and beyond to ensure everything was ready to close on the target date. The worst refinancing company. Don t waste your time starting Morgage/ refinancing process with them. I wasted 7 month believing their promises, don t make my mistake. I went to a different company and refinanced in 30 days. One star is too many for them.

I found Get A Rate online when searching for competitive rates and Im so glad I did. My wife and I met Greg Marsh at the office almost a year before we finally found a house we loved. From beginning to end, Bill Foley walked me through the process in detail! Bill is very knowledgeable in the industry and offered so many tips and advice during the entire process. Bill was always available day and night to answer any questions I may have had. The entire process was very seamless, fast, and efficient. Even when we had to back out of our original home purchase due to home inspection issues, we did not lose a step when applying for a loan for another home weeks later. I honestly felt like Bill was my friend not just another loan expert looking to close a loan. It just felt very natural working with him and GetARate. The worse experience I have ever had was to deal with Eliana Mejia who works for this company. Such a liar, changed the insterest rates and options many times. After 50 days, I decide to cancel my refinancing. Cost me $750. Don t trust this person.

Please run away from this company. Worst refinancing experience ever. Application filed Aug 11st Initial closing Doc issued Aug 12h 4 months later, Dec 4th, 2020 they were still asking for why your driver license address is different than your home address?? we need letter to explain this.. They waited 4 months to do this Plus, bank statements, pay stubs.... were asking to upload every month because those before were expired but funny thing was they never told ahead, they only told when I asked (by emails and texts. Phone calls never worked with this firm) Called, never get to the real person but voice mail. Left messages, never get return call. Called VP, never picked up or returned calls even left voice mails begging for help Customer Service Rep told me he is a VP and he does not have time..... her has more important stuff to do.. WHATTTT???? there is nothing more important than customers and he (The important VP) was the one who got me to this refinancing process They drove me crazy for 4 months with lots of promises but never kept. Please just Run away from this company.

Very dissatisfied and disappointed with the way my refinancing process was handled. I followed my realtors recommendation to go with Get A Rate, but shamefully the process was painstakingly long and not very transparent. I was repeatedly left on the shadows, noone to follow up or update me on the process, had to pay for points which reasons were not clear, and did not receive the treatment we got in the pass from other lenders. Until this date I regret not contacting my previous lender instead of going with my realtors recomendation.

When we were shopping for a refinance company, I was so glad we went with Get a Rate. Daniel Valencia really helped us from beginning to end with the whole process, even when we kept emailing back with questions. I would highly recommend Daniel - he was always professional and got back to us right away. He got us in touch with the people we needed and made sure we were taken care of. The whole process took us about 2 and a half months from start to finish (closing), but we did not lose our rate and even though the loan process (underwriting) was backed up, it did end up going pretty smoothly. Very satisfied.

I couldnt recommend GetARate more highly. For three reasons, in order: 1) Danny got right down to business answering my questions and getting me a real rate quote immediately. 2) GetARate was at least 1/8 of a point lower than any of the other 6 quotes I recieved, sometimes much lower. 3) All mortgage banks are backed up right now, including GetARate. Danny was very engaged and aware of my closing timeline. He made sure that things moved through the process fast enough for me to close.

The rate we got was so low, charges so reasonable, and process so user-friendly with most done online, that we did not have to look any further or have our credit dinged up by additional credit inquiries from shopping around. Dan Valencia is amazing! He helped get us an extremely low interest rate while keeping our monthly mortgage payment at reasonable amount. I still brag to people about the interest rate I got! Literally the worst experience weve ever had in our life with a mortgage company (and weve closed at least 8 home loans or re-fis). The experience started out great at first but it dissolved fairly quickly into an extremely disorganized experience with overall very poor communication. We experienced numerous delays and undue stress because of the extremely poor communication. As an example, our closing took place at 11:00 am on a Monday morning, we arrived and our attorney still did not have the final paperwork from the lender. Then about 20 or 30 minutes into our closing I happened to check my email to find our lender is emailing us at 11:00am and asking for more information! There were way too many examples such as this throughout our experience with this company. We totally understand COVID-19 has affected all businesses however, a business that touts itself as an online mortgage company should be better prepared. We were definitely not made to feel like valued customers and were so seriously disappointed with our experience we definitely could NOT recommend this company.

The experience here is the best one Ive had in all my years of dealing with buying and refinancing of mortgages. Dale is very responsible, friendly, and transparent as to how the entire process would proceed. I dealt with Jose Munoz and he absolutely did an amazing job! He paid attention to detail and answered every question I had whenever I called him. I lowered my rate and cut my loan to 15-years. This refi cut 7 years off my old loan and thousands of dollars of interest saved. Couldnt be happier with more money in my pocket and the entire process was seamless!!

Update May 2020: I received a personal call from Michael, the CEO of Get-a-rate and he sincerely apologized and righted the below situation for me. I want to say that this unprecedented turn of events has made me re-evaluate my experience. Thank you for the understanding and I recommend Get A Rate in the future for any mortgage/refinance related activities. Thanks again! I had a mediocre/substandard experience with GetARate when refinancing my current mortgage. I have not been happy with this closing process. This was started in early February, and it took until the 1st of May, so 3 months is a lot of time and unheard of for a simple refinance. Some of the big issues: 1. Not much communication during the process 2.Careless inputs on paperwork that were done 3.Uncertainty about next steps during the process in general because of internal disorganization and reorganization (changing of process and loan officers) 4. Lastly, an earlier quote that I was promised for a lower commitment fee was retracted which I did not know about until the day of closing. When I mailed numerous times asking to be reimbursed 400$, I was denied. This exhibits poor customer service. The above point really left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I WAS EXPECTING A LOT MORE AS A RETURN CLIENT. Not recommended, sorry.

I worked with Bill Foley at Ge-A-Rate for mortgage for my second home in NJ. I live in MO, hence all communications with him was on-line only. Bill and Get-A-Rate team were all very professional with ample knowledge of mortgage industry. The property I was trying to buy was a bank repossessed property, hence the bank set very tight closing deadline. All of them at Get-A-Rate worked together and I was able to close purchasing the property in time. I wish I had a chance to meet them in person, but I did not need to meet them since on-line only transaction was very smooth. Thank you, and I highly recommend Get-A-Rate as they are friendly armed with professional knowledge.

I first met Greg Marsh of Get A Rate almost 2 years ago. He helped, assisted and did whatever it took to get me the best rate for my mortgage when I purchased my home in August of 2019. He made this trying experience a breeze. Yesterday 03/19/2020 I closed with Get A Rate on refinancing my mortgage. I strictly dealt with Greg. Being a little older I like to do business the old fashion way being blunt and right to the point. Greg is the boss and he was hands on with me all the way. I got a great deal with no PMI. There are so many decisions and moving parts when purchasing a new home. However, having Cindi Friedman as our loan officer made things much easier. I can honestly say that working with Nick changed our lives. If there is one person in the mortgage lending space you need, its Joseph Sargenti. Home buying is never easy but him and his team made it as simple as possible.
