The deal is done and I learn my lesson. After leaving his shop, I did go to another pawn shop. We were talking about the situation. Shnayder took my necklace. Put it on the scale, did not show me what it weighed. He actually did not even see what percentage gold it was. He threw a number out there extremely low. We ended up agreeing. And then I bought a necklace. It was price tagged, but then he changed the price. Because he said gold price went up. He's in the business of screwing people. He's in the business of taking an advantage of people when they're at their lows. I could've got the same necklace down at tradeland.

No, I'm not a drug addict nor am I hurting for money. I was trying to trade in a necklace that got accidentally ripped/ stretched.

I bought a vintage ring at Shnayder about six years ago and wore it day and night. It's one-of-a-kind, has two shades of gold, fits perfectly and fits my "style." I felt lucky to find it at a pawn AND jewelry store. Alex showed me many rings he had made before he brought this one out. I didn't have much time to shop around and I didn't need to shop any further when I put this one on.
I was a little hard on the ring and cracked it in a few places. I went back and he repaired and cleaned it. I didn't bother comparing prices and judging from the other reviews, it sounds like I got a good price.
The ring looks like new. I can't detect the cracks and he cleaned up all of the crevasses. It was worth what he charged. It wasn't cheap, but you have to pay for quality workmanship. Thank you Alex, twice over, for my replacement wedding ring. After 43 years of marriage, sometimes things break.

I had a gold ring with gemstone which I wanted to sell and my friend advised me to visit this pawn shop who recently sold the necklace there by very fair price. Truly speaking I knew nothing about the pricing on jewelry so when I came there I asked just approximate price, but that was really a huge surprise when extremely nice guy Alex, one of the owner of the shop, told me that my ring costs much higher since the gold was 18K and he explained me in detail that the gemstone is high quality due to right cut and clarity. I can even say I got a small course of education how to figure out in quality jewelry ! So afterwards I got paid twice of that I was asking! Besides they have a various assortment of different brand new, custom designed jewelry, a lot of diamond rings and earrings, musical instruments, tools and so on. So what I can say is coming here you ll get a superior customer service, fair prices, honest appraisal and great mood for the rest of your day!

I went to Shnayder jewelers to reset a precious family heirloom gem, the process of choosing the setting, adding details and having the work complete was excellent. The most comforting thing for me was knowing that the owners of Shnayder Jewelers do the work in-house and they are the only ones who handle the gems. The options were endless and the owner took great care to be sure he understood exactly what I wanted, the prices were 1/2 of what I was quoted at the big mall shops (that do not do their own work). The environment in the shop is relaxed and quiet, allowing for better communication while designing the setting. I m very thrilled with the results and would highly recommend Shnayder Jewelers.

There is certainly a large assortment of jewelry available. And there is a possibility that the owners are quite knowledgeable in the trade. However, they made some assumptions about my knowledge (or lack thereof) on antique and vintage jewelry. As a dealer in the trade, I can tell you that these prices are inflated and not reflective of fair market prices. Please do your own research rather than only trusting their explanation that gold is up and will continue to inflate. That does not explain the outrageous markup. You can see from their responses to reviews that five stars get a ton of thanks and appreciation. But, any constructive criticism is handled aggressively and negatively.

Alex is very knowledgeable about diamonds and designed a beautiful platinum engagement ring with three matched diamonds. Since her fingers are very thin where the rings sits he had balls added inside so that the ring resists spinning around on her finger. It worked very well. He was a pleasure to deal with.

Was an enlightening. He is very knowledgeable about gold and jewelry and was clear about what he would buy...and what he wouldnt. He made an offer and let me choose if I was agreeable. I had a bracelet that I thought was worth more but he pointed out that with the stones out there would not be a good value as the gold weight would be low. I feel he was direct and honest.

I went to this place with roughly a pound of silver spoons/forks with sterling labeled on all of them and the owner tried to say he didn t know the silver content. Sterling means it s at least 92.5% silver which any decent pawn shop owner would know so he offered me $5 per ounce. What a joke. Don t waste your time with this clown!

Went in today for the first time. Store was pretty small, mostly jewelry at this location. The biggest problem I found with the store was the outrageous prices on everything. I usually go to pawn shops and expect to get things at a better price. What I will recommend is: if you go to this location and there is no price tag on it.... Look up the product on your phone before you purchase anything. I happened to find a staple gun and being in a hurry I didnt look up the item before purchasing. The guy said he wanted $40 got the staple gun (I thought was a bit pricey) but I purchase it and leave and Later look it up... Brand new at Walmart for $17. This was a dumb decision on my behalf but overall as a store the place is very overpriced and selection is small. I would not recommend.

Before buying an engagement ring I did research, visited multiple jewelers at businesses both boxy large and boutique small, read lots of on-line reviews, and decided to travel 45 minutes to meet Alex. We discussed my goal, effort, and expectations regarding such an expensive purchase. I believe he was sincere in being helpful, offering prudent advice, and great suggestions. I hoped that at some point Id see him interact with customers, and I did. He asked if I minded the interruptions, and I didnt object. Alex has a friendly, fair, and forthright approach. Two ladies sold gold bracelets and seemed very happy in the end. A gentleman picked up some jewelry repairs and said, Wow! You even took the dent out of the gold chain. I didnt think that was possible. And, a young man sold a bass speaker at an agreed price. In the end, I purchased a stunning ring from Alex. It was a radiant hearts and arrows diamond in an elegant platinum setting. Besides its beauty and unbeatable price, it more importantly led to a Yes!. My fiancé knows her jewelry and she was impressed. We returned to get the ring properly fitted and once again Alexs expert advice and professionalism shined through. I found this place on google, this store is so nice and clean, huge selection of hand made jewelry, a lot of other different products, electronics, musical instruments, tools and more. I sold some of my gold and I got the highest price possible, I did shopped around and Alex was so professional and knowledgeable, this is #1 place for me from now on. Shady pawnshop. Will charge you 100% interest on a pawn. If my company wasnt late with my paycheck I would have said screw this place! Oh and dont forget the $20 charge if you lose your receipt! If u can go to east coast pawn in derry, nh they only charge like 20% on a pawn and are very reasonable. Than the guy banned me from the store for telling him hes ripping people off and for having bad buisness practices! No sweat off my back, Id rather go elsewhere and not be ripped off!

Went in to get a men s ring restored, while I was in there I stumbled upon a vintage Omega diamond watch. Alex was quick to strike and amazing deal for the watch and a gold chain. The shop has great quality jewelry and very aggressive prices. Alex was very knowledgeable about the product he sold me, jewelry restoration etc. I immediately recommended them to some co-workers which also had great experiences. I would recommend to anyone and will definitely be going back for my jewelry needs.

This owner is the biggest liar I have ever met. This guy has major character flaws. Showed me a watch (way overpriced) and claimed it was new. I asked You sell new watches? In his Russian accent he says Yes, of course. I could clearly see this watch was used. Watch it when dealing with this guy...he is as shady a guy as you will ever meet!

I cant say enough wonderful things about Alex. I stopped in with a very, very large box of various kinds of jewelry - some gold, some silver, some just old and yes, just junk. Alex took over 2 hours of his time and looked through every piece I brought in. He was willing to point out items that may be worth something but that he was not in the market for to save me having to find yet another person to help evaluate my things. He was willing to answer all my questions and educate me on the finer points of jewelry appraisal. I also had a chance to look at the custom design jewelry they make at the shop, and it was amazing! I found Alex to be extremely trustworthy and above board. I highly recommend Shnayders Jewelry and Pawn Brokers!

I bought my wedding rings here. Excellent service. The owner has wealth of knowledge and is a good communicator. We negotiated a fair price and the service was prompt. He cut and cleaned the rings right away for free. For resizing my wifes ring he did not cut off part of the gold and keep it but pressed the ring in such a way that I kept all the gold. He asked me precise questions in order provide me with the perfect ring to match my wifes engagement ring. Overall it was a wonderful experience and My wife and I will enjoy our rings for the rest of our lives.

OK - dont let the pawn shop bit fool you - Alex is one tremendously knowledgeable and skilled jeweler. I brought a collection of rings in for repairs and sizing (after 30 years your knuckles change, what can I say?), some of which had been custom-made by one of the shopping mall jewelry stores years back and some were family heirlooms. Alex could immediately tell me what I had, what was good (and what was not), how to repair some of the problematic rings - and pointed out flaws and issues that I had wondered about but hadnt mentioned. Good jewelry work isnt cheap - but hes reasonable, especially as most of the pieces were 10K, 14K, and some 18K (vintage stuff). The rings look like new. I will go to him first whenever I am shopping for jewelry again or need repairs. And - they took far less time than I was initially quoted. Great work, competitive pricing, prompt service - it doesnt get better.

absolutely tried to scam me into selling a large amount of 90% pure silver coins today that are worth almost 4 times the amount I was offered at the store. These coins are worth 5 dollars a pop for their melt value and I had around 20. I was offered 30 dollars for the lot and was told that my information I had gotten online for the coins worth was incorrect. Totally deceitful....would not recommend for pawning. Better off just selling your stuff on ebay!

Amazing Jewelers! My Fiancé got my engagement ring from here! Alex worked with him directly and helped customize my ring. First they got the loose stone and then worked with my fiancé to hand draw the setting. The drawing then went to a design lab and my fiancé got back computer images which helped him make edits. Once we made our final adjustments, the ring came back a few weeks later and it was perfect!! I could not be happier! They really are expert jewelers!

Just picked up a Christmas gift diamond band ring for my wife and I am so excited! I love Schneider jewelry they are the best, they sell great jewelry at a great price!!!! I looked at many stores, most of the big stores and they couldnt touch the quality nor price. Bought her engagement ring from Schneider 18 years ago and a few pieces in between and every time extremely satisfied. Its funny I look at the big stores with her because we are at the mall and its not obvious of my plan, but once I know what she likes its right to Schneider because they are awesome!!!! This guy is the worst kind of crook the type that takes advantage of people that are desperate.. after handing over about $2000 in tools as collateral for a $100 loan. I was yelled at for being upset that apparently i misunderstood the terms of the loan that were never fully explained to me in the first place.. I didnt think it was unreasonable to think that I wasnt going to be charged 100 interest for paying off a 30 day loan in 5 days. Bottom line the man is very rude and had the worst customer service Ive ever experienced I wouldnt suggest doing business with this crook at all

I brought my ring here because my diamond fell out of wedding ring. Alex was awesome to deal with and extremely honest. I left my ring with him and he told me 2 weeks for it to return. I went back and when I got my ring I started to cry right there in the store. My ring looked absolutely gorgeous!! I swear it looked better than the day we got it over 14 years ago. My wife had a engagement ring that lost the diamond, I took it to here showed them the ring, told them how much I was willing to spend, they worked with me even taught me what a thing or too as far as what to look for for a quality diamond. VERY GOOD QUALITY WORK AND CAN BE DONE IN A REASONABLE TIME AT THIS PLACE. I wish I did not go in. Sold a 14kt gold Pink Sapphire and diamond ring there, was told it was not worth anything and offered $50.00 for it. Believing him I took the $50.00. Went back in two weeks later and the ring I sold for $50.00 he had on sale for $650.00.

Excellent service and professionalism. Ive had call to do business with Shnayder many times and I have never been disappointed. Alex is knowledgeable, considerate and takes the time to explain things in a vernacular that laymen can understand. I cant recommend the shop and Alex more highly. Also, I wanted to also point out that Shnayder seems to understand the concept of community and what it means to be a part of a town/city. Rather than hold themselves apart, Shnayder grasps the concept that they live and do business in Nashua too. They take this seriously and truly provide a welcoming environment by treating people with respect and consideration and well, as real people, rather than just a ticket or a number. Its quite refreshing compared to some of the other experiences you could have during your daily affairs. If there were more than 5 stars, I would willing give them.

Shnayder Jewelry is truly a hidden gem in Nashua for custom jewelry and repairs. Joseph Shnayder is an artist and exceptional craftsman. I purchased a custom anniversary band several years ago from another Nashua jeweler and was never happy with the craftsmanship despite taking it back several times to be tweaked. Joseph did an amazing job of correcting the flaws in the ring with a quick one week turn-around. I absolutely love the ring now. I recently returned to have a pair of diamond earrings reset. Alex made great suggests for new settings. Im sure to be a long-time customer for custom jewelry and repair. They also have a nice selection of new and previously owned jewelry.

I had never been to the store & I went in to ask about a pocket watch & Alex was very nice & told me its true value. I went back the next day to sell a silver coin & he paid me a fair price where we both were happy. I also got a loan on my flat screen television & he gives you a 30 day loan which you can pay off sooner to get your tv back & the interest is high but I got $50 when I needed gas & food. Hes very nice & easy to talk to, hard worker that started with nothing. Thanks Alex!

With all of the issues with local pawn shops in Nashua, this is the ONLY shop I recommend doing business with. Furthermore, I will say that Alex is on point with how he does business. I have now been to Shnayder Jewelry several times. Alex has helped me out tremendously. I was looking for an independent jeweler for a custom, or different, kind of engagement ring. I ended up with a custom, made in-house, ring that is gorgeous and was generously affordable, unlike the mall or giant stores that have to cover extreme rents. The diamonds are very clear white and very sparkly (according to the fiance. As someone with a Geology degree, I have a high regard for the Shnayder products. They are very careful about their selections and very helpful and personable with helping undecided grooms-to-be with figuring out what to get. I recently returned to purchase wedding bands and the help was very gracious. Thank you Alex, again. Id also like to point out that, while it is a pawn shop, it is very nice inside; not cluttered or over-filled. Their primary mission is jewelry.
