They took my money for a car payment and lost the payment- when i called to clear it they just gave me the run around- cant even hold of a manager too- they truely dont care- way to make someones holiday. My suggestion dont bank with them.

If I could give a negative stars, theyve earned it. Worst credit union ever. Their lack of concern for your money, credit, and time are apparent with every transaction. Ive literally waited 30 minutes in the lobby waiting for their computers to come back online and they lost track of my car title for a year..Avoid this financial institution.

Had fraud on my 3 year olds minor account (why did they let it go thru with another name on it) and they would only go back 3 months instead of six for the charges under a different persons name on the account! They were not willing to work with us for charge backs once we discovered it after our baby had surgery and we moved out of state after buying a house. Our old banking institution would have done it no prob!

This credit union left my 23-year-old daughter with no money for three days. They accidentally took a double payment on her car payment two months in a row and refused to refund the money on time. Be careful who you do business with, clearly they don t know the good word.

Love their app. Love having a branch in las vegas, because I do business through several states, and having one nearby is a life saver. Going to a branch and speaking with people is my preferred method, but the app is easy to use & reaching customer service is easy. There are multiple tools available through the app, ex: Zelle When my card# was stolen, they made it right asap. They saved me hundreds in overdraft fees, restored my balance & issued me a new card in the same day.

Mountain America is on the same level as Wells Fargo! They are both horrible! I live in a different state and when I have to call customer service I dread it! I have a password on my account and was not asked for it and nobody can seem to send me a card replacement on the last 2 calls I have made. Telling me you and your manager has the same tools that they cannot help me is NOT EXCEPTABLE! I have fraud on my account. i need it handled and a new card. If it werent for the auto loan that is with this bank I would not be a customer! Come April it will be paid off and I will be closing all of my accounts. I would not ever refer this institution to anyone!

Every other time I try and use the ATM here I am having to deal with headaches. Why is there only one ATM outside? I hardly ever am able to deposit cash into it. Then my only other option is to drive 25 min. to different location and hope that the ATM is properly functioning. You have 3 lanes why not install multiple ATMs or at least one that I could walk up to...? Doesnt make much sense to me other then laziness.

Bad experience with this credit union only good to take your payment when you call in to make a payment but the neglect of staff to allow you to know your payment has increased by $37 but still take your payment & now even though I always made payments on time they want to report the account late for 30 days now my credit score drops but they don t care even though the account has always been paid on time & even paid extra every month too im always on point on paying all my accounts on time currently looking to switch credit union to take over this student loan which I took the responsibility to pay I m sure if it were the staff having this problem they would understand my frustration with this matter no attempt was ever made to reach out to father threw a simple phone call , address or email what bothers me could have been resolved if they would have told when I called every month to pay, Mr. Cisneros our records indícate payment has increased by $37 could have easily paid it No accountability on behalf the neglect of properly training your staff easily avoidable not I have to eat the drop on my score.

Opened new account. Bad experience all ready not happy.I am regretting opening in first place now. Had Lanny who did not listen as I specifically asked when setting up online that he said hed help with if we the joint account we opened if we needed to decide who had codes going to phone and who had email example it set on my email and hubbys phone but no he did both for one person. Which we had to fix ourselves and he acted like it couldnt be fixed. Also chose acct for us without asking or telling about other options. What he didnt know was I in fact knew there was more than one choice. So Im hoping only 2 as I only learned about the other when I point blank asked and had to leave only knowing of 2. He left office without asking if we had questions and I felt pushed out front door without asking if we had questions. Not pleased at all.

This used to be a fantastic credit union but over the years they keep taking away the benefits that make them so good. They used to be a part of a credit union co-op that meant you could bank almost anywhere and withdraw money out of state or in almost any city. It was wonderful. They stopped this, which is a main feature of a credit union, months and months ago. They gave no warning either. One day I needed to withdraw more than the ATM allowed and went to a credit union only to be told they couldnt help me. I called MACU and they said that they stopped being part of any co-op and just said sorry. Any time you call the 1-800 number you are lucky to get an answer. I spent 40 minutes on hold today waiting to speak to someone. The automated system kept telling me the average wait time was 1 minute. They have a service that will call you back allegedly but I have tried that before, they never call back. Weirdly enough I have had my best luck calling after hours, but they cannot provide as much help as during work hours. Lots more has happened but I think those things are enough to list. They are no longer a real credit union as you can only bank at MACU locations. I dont know what happened to this credit union but it used to be amazing and has just lost nearly everything that made it so good. I am sadly going to be leaving this credit union as soon as I can and I have been a member here for almost 10 years now. They gave me my first real credit card. Really saddens me to see what has become of this place. Dont get an account here and get looped into this mess.

My wife and I have our separate accounts with MACU. Since being a member for several years, we can not say enough about the great customer service we receive every visit. This is the best credit union we have ever belonged to and will continue to support them. On the other hand my wife is disappointed that they don t do shared branching any more, even if being a member. We do transactions between Guam, St. Louis and here in Las Vegas, now she had to find a shared branch credit union, and she did, but is not happy with them. Hopefully you rethink your decision and bring back shared branch services.

As a future customer, I have to share my first interaction with the Assistant Branch Manager Jackie G. and Branch Manager Tim. Jackie was by far one of the worst managers and customer service agents I have ever encountered in all my years with ANY bank. She was extremely rude, condescending and belittling. She was not only all of those things to me as a potential client but also to a client and customer of the bank. I would never recommend this bank to anyone ever and I would encourage anybody who is looking for a credit union I would say look elsewhere. Jackie had nothing but an attitude with me and my client. I find it ironic that the website says placing Members first but the way we both were treated spoke a completely different story.

Literallly the best bank around! We stumbled across this bank years ago when they financed our RV and have gradually moved our personal and business relationships over. Everyone we have encountered both at the branch and on the phone have been incredibly helpful and kind. It is such a breath of fresh air after decades of enduring big banking where you re just a number. I have to say Kerrye Jackson is an absolute rockstar! The second we met her I looked at my husband and said we bank here now. She is the Einstein of banking/finance and a firecracker all rolled into one. We look forward to the opening of their new location on the south side of town so we can access their services more frequently and hopefully see Kerrye more often!

Horrible Customer Service. When you call to get help the people answering the phones never know anything more than the automated system. They place you on hold for every question so they can call someone else for help. I have been waiting to deposit a check for 3 days. I am going back to BOA. Im glad I never closed my accounts with them.

*BAD MORTGAGE PEOPLE* I would not recommend them to anyone I consider a friend or good person. They were terribly organized. They would call back multiple days after I called. I liiterally Had to tell them how to do their job by calling and asking other Lenders how it really worked and then calling. MACU back to explain it. Even the title company mentioned how bad their experience was. Would have switched but I was too far in when all the bad stuff started happening I didn t want the seller to back out cause I would have pushed back closing even more.

I recently had my account hacked of course very concerned like anyone would be. The great feature on the mobile app is you can disable your accounts which I did. Then I went to my branch to get a new debit card and meet with Alyse Jester. She is amazing. I told her my concerns about using my debit to pay online and to pay my bills with. She then told me about debit express which is like a prepaid card that I can transfer money into. I love it plus I just disable it after I make purchases. I paid off my loan on an RV. I was told that my title to the RV would arrive in a couple weeks. I called MACU several times and was told the Lien was released. I went to the Nevada DMV and the lien had not been released after a month. I called MACU again and they admitted that they had NOT released the Lien. MACU are liars. Dont do business sc with them.

Are they even open on Saturdays as I am calling and no answer the system just says closed when my paoer work and on here google says sat 9a -2p...i just need to fix something. Geeze

I have not had a very good experience with Mountain America. If I call or email, I get lackluster service at best. Some of the branch staff are nice, and some of them act as if they are too bothered to do their jobs. Im always waiting at least 15 to 20 minutes for someone on the chat or on the phone. I recently went through a bankruptcy. The lawyer was incompetent and my case was dismissed. Immediately, two loans I had with MACU were re-opened, and a couple months behind each. I caught one up right away and the other I called as was working to make arrangements with them. I had also forgotten to move an autopay from this account to my new account, and got hit with not one but five ach unpaid fee charges. I put the money in the account as soon as I realized what was happening to cover the payment, but they snatched half of it to go toward the loan payment I was making arrangements on. Now Im left to figure out how to pay that bill and they could care less. Customer service at its finest.

Rebecca helped me a ton. Because of the moving to a new system, I was locked out of online access. However I got a call from Jackie stating that I had to set up a savings account to keep my credit card, or else they would close my account, block me out entirely and send it to collections. Just so everyone knows reading this review, I have had this credit card for six years and I ve been using it for four years without a savings account. Jackie was very rude on the phone, she had a disrespectful tone, treating me like some kind of criminal and rule breaker. I was not impressed, and want Jackie to know that she should not treat people like that on the phone especially when they do not know they are doing something that is apparently against protocol. It is not the customers fault that they do not know the rules of the company. It is the company s fault for letting the customer continue breaking the rules without letting them know. Two stars because Rebecca helped me out, thanks Rebecca!

Worst. Website. Ever. Dont even bother trying to do anything on it, it will just give you a headache. Focus a little more time and effort on the broken website & maybe Id rate it 2 stars. Get with the times!!!!

I had a bad experience my first time there I have an account with the sister Bank and that teller shredded my card when i came to make a deposit because I didnt know you could make a deposit at the atm and the teller didnt tell me when I asked her about the atm Just rude people like as if Im not good enough to have a bank account Rude people will never go again and now I get paid today and have no card smdh

I do not trust Mountain America Credit Union because they turn me down they check my background check and I did not get in and this location is going to get one star only thats the last time Ill go to them cuz there are foolish to help someone like me acts like they dont care so thats why I giving you a one so you guys are absolutely rude about to add another credit union that does not do a background check

If I could give 0 stars I would. They have the worst website ever, and several times that I have tried to make a payment on my loan, the website wont let me log in with MY pin, or whatever other glitch. DO NOT bank with or get a loan from them. Its been a nightmare!

Everytime I go to this bank it s a problem....the tellers are rude .. they don t smile , they can never seem to help me it s the absolute worst bank I ve been to ... terrible , they always give a funny look

Very nice customer service but they need more branches in Las Vegas. Long line and they only have 2 or 3 tellers.

One of the awesome services I have experienced from any Bank institution, very friendly personal, willing to answer and explain every single question that I have. My transaction was Approved Right on the Spot in less than 30 Minutes, something that I have never seen at any other Bank....I strongly recommended MOUNTAIN AMERICA CREDIT UNION.

This is the best bank I have ever been with. I always heard credit unions are a for the people bank and I had one in the past and it wasnt much different from the corporate banks Ive had. The service is above and beyond what Im used to when it comes to banks. Every single encounter I have with MACU has always been Amazing. No I do not work for the Bank. No I am not promoting. I am just in love with the service. They are personable. They genuinely care. They even give you financial tips. I will reccomend this bank to every single person I know. Thank you MACU you are the best.

The tellers are always polite. I used the Lake Mead branch as a shared branch location. They were so nice and pleasant, I decided to open an account with Mountain America. I m glad I did.

I d give this Credit Union zero stars if I could. New residents beware! If you are a new resident with a intermin document from the State of Nevada to change your residency and your previous state drivers license they will not accept it as proof of identification. These are the only government documents to prove my State of Residency; therefore, I will never utilize their services again in the future.

They are draconian about info yet they will ask you for your SSN over the phone. If you want additional information you need to go to a branch. Then on the weekend they only have the drive through open. For those that can t get off work to go to the branch on the weekdays, you re SOL.
