I bought a 14kt Solid Gold, Rope, Men's Bracelet from Charlotte. She not only gave me a great price on the bracelet, she was awesome!! I usually don't like pawn shops. But Capitol City Loans is the exception to the rule. Everyone was happy, polite, and professional. Charlotte took the time with me to help me find exactly what I wanted. She was very patient with me. She made me feel like I actually knew what I was talking about. Lol. I totally recommend Charlotte and Capitol City Loans. I'll never go anywhere else!!

What a great place, with lots of cools things! I found them earlier this spring and this is one of my favorite shops to visit when I'm in the area. The people there are great and treat you kindly. I will definitely keep stopping by and checking to see what new treasure I can find. From guns to jewelry, tools and electronics, these guys have it. The shop is very clean and the people there top it off like a cherry on top. Thanks!!!

Gotta be the largest Pawn Shop I've ever
seen, lots of stuff to look at jewelry, tools,
guns, bikes, cars, boats and much much
more. I have been coming here for over 10 years on the regular. You never know what your gonna find here! They have this room in the back with all kinds of tools which is great since I’m always doing DIY stuff. Great place to but ammo too. It's always fun to see what treasures you might find. They are negotiable on all the marked prices too so come get yourself a deal. The employees are there to help you and will answer all the questions you might have. I make a point to visit every time I am in the area and always seem to find
something. A few of my latest finds beautiful silver earrings (new), RYOBI weedeater, ammo, all great prices. See you guys all next time.

My whole outlook on this business has done a complete 360 degrees... I will send anyone and everyone here!!! John (the owner) definitely cares about his customers... John is very understanding and he wants to help his customers get their stuff back. I lost a few of my items a couple months back and John has kept in constant contact with me, trying to work out a way to get my items back! I have never experienced this kind of customer service but it is definitely worth it! Thank.you so much John and The Capital City Loans for helping me keep my items. I was in there the other day and it was a great experience! First, not only did I get greeted when I walked through the door but I also was in-and-out in less then 15 minutes. I was treated in a professional manner. You can tell these employers put in full dedication and love their job! I was so happy to be in such a nice enviroment and Capitol City Loans will be my new Pawn Store! Thank you for your great service and I can not wait to deal with you again! I highly recommend these terrrific individuals and all their hard work!

I miss this place I used to be in there everyday John and Teresa Ohl are the best. If you think they are tough on loans on jewelry they are more than fair when you buy it.. Remember the prices are way negotiable especially when you do business with them they will give you great deal the more you do business with them trust me. Items that are priced too high tell them they may agree. Show them the better price give them a chance to match it they were always wayfair with me and I bought a lot of stuff...

I bought a lot of firearms from them and I had years of great fun, Bill, T, and John thanks for those great deals.. Unfortunately, the cops took all my guns and ammo because because of an ex who has mental illness as well as 2 inept justices who are female feminists that don't honor the 2nd amendment!

I was in a time of need and needed money to move on short notice and Capitol City Loans gave me the best price for my jewelry. I went to Super Pawn and was treated very Poorly and they totally were low balling me. Capitol City Loans treated me with respect and really helped me out in my time of need, Thank You so much.

So I'm going to be as straight forward as possible.

I have not bought or sold anything in this place in the last 5 years. However what I do remember of this store is friendly staff and most seemed to be knowledgeable about coins, guns etc. The store was clean and while cluttered is was presentable.

Now to all the people that flame this place for the purchase prices of used stuff and buying your stuff.

Keep this in mind, the owner has to pay rent, utilities, employee wages along with almost 50% of what thoses employees earn hourly for workers comp and unemployment insurance. Along with a bunch of other burdens of doing business.

Now of course their has to be a good profit in it for the owner or why the hell would the man do it in the 1st place.

Its a pawn shop people lol. You buy low and sell high when possible. Everything is open to the bartering process. From what you sell to what you buy is all open to negotiations.

Low ball prices are the norm at any pawn shop world wide. The question I assume the owner must ask is, how long is this iteam I bought going to be sitting on my shelf before I see a return ?

Is it going to lose value like tech stuff or can it appercate in value like sports cards coins etc. Point is that its a risk for the owners of any business. They are hedging against the future.

Theirs is always the internet for buying and selling stuff. I've had mixed success using the net for barter and trade.

I personally find it rewarding and entertaining to barter with these guys and others including non pawn shops. Think new or used vehicles,dirt bikes,atvs etc.

Do you always pay full sticker price ???

If so I have some real nice ocean front property to sell you in carson city lol.

First and last time using a pawn shop to sell items, we came out supporting the pawn shop, it is what it is, didnt do my research, like I said before learned a lesson, be careful, you made good money today Jesse, but hey it all comes back around!!!!!

Scam artists, not to mention they had to bribe people with diamonds and buy all their votes to win the Nevada Appeal contest. This has got to be the lamest bunch of absolute losers in town!

This place has so many awesome things! I pawned a couple items and got way more than I thought was possible. Everyone was super friendly I felt like I was amongst family rather than a few business men just trying to make money. I will be a returning customer for sure. You guys rock!!!

Amazing customer service! Great and friendly staff that cares about their customers. They give the most that they can give. Longest terms and lowest rates! Very reasonable and low prices on what they sell.

I have always been treated with kindness and never judged . I buy alot of items threw them monthly if not sometimes weekly and I get the best prices ever . The service is A+ and Bill is a good man.

Worst store to do business with. They rip you off for what they will pay you for your stuff but sell it for almost new prices. They dont hagle. Disrespectful when Ive del with them. I purchased an rc car from them and it didnt even work when I got it home. Took it back and they refused to give me my money back. They would only give me credit for it if I bought some in for more money. They are thieves.

My husband and I went for the first time yesterday and we were so happy with the customer service which is beyond outstanding, they were all helpful, professional and knowledgeable!! I would recommend capital loans to everyone who likes and enjoys shopping. They make it a fun environment and kid friendly thanks guys, we will be life customers!!

Worst place to go in Carson.. We went in one day to sell a chocolate diamond bracelet in 14 carot gold.. We went in and she told us it was stamped 14 carots but was really 10... Yeah no. She offered us $250.. Went to another pawn shop and the man offered us $650 off the bat.. And told us it was definitely a 14 carot gold bracelet.. I cannot believe not only the price difference but the fact the woman also had no idea what she was taking about. Will never go back.

these 5 star reviews must be fake. items were way overpriced ie. used tvs (on sale LOL) for 90% of new price. 100oz silver bar nearly 3 times scrap price. watched a guy try to get a loan and was only offered 10 cents on the resale dollar. this place is a joke. buying or selling there are way better places to go in the area.

My husband and I went to see Teresa because we heard about a free wheelchair promotion, and we were pleasantly surprised to find not only a clean and well maintained store, but friendly staff and a great selection of just about anything we could think of. Teresa found a power chair that fit My husband and bought new batteries for it! My husband is now mobile again and we couldnt be happier. Thank you Teresa and staff at Capitol City Loans.
