Staff are very kind and courteous. Easy location to get in and out of (Manchester&Baxter). Unfortunately, the terms of my cd ended and I was out of town during the 10 day grace period. My fault for not setting up instructions before going out of town. My cd automatically flipped into another cd with an unappealing rate and terms. I asked to transfer to a cd within Electro that offered more favorable terms. I was informed by staff and supervisors that the $325 early withdrawal fee could not be waved. From a math perspective, the math did not add up. Electro had the potential to earn thousands from my account, I had the opportunity to earn thousands also. Seems like a win-win situation. Instead, Electro accepted $325 and the closure of my cd account.

We ve had problems with payments around the holidays and now the check engine light in our car came on for the first time and we tried to use our extended warranty and were told that they had our car at a completely falsified mileage when we bought it and are saying that we re outside of warranty.

My experiences at this branch of Electro Savings have been very positive. A large part of those experiences have been great due to Tashia Williams, a Relationship Specialist at this location. Ms. Williams is one of the nicest, professional, knowledgeable, and, in my case, a calming bank employee that Ive encountered. Due to unfortunate circumstances Ive been in lately, Ive been left in a state of confusion and overwhelmed in my personal life. Ms. Williams has helped me no less than two times to figure out and sort out what I was trying to do with accounts at this branch. Tashia Williams is a great asset for Electro Savings and wherever she may be. She has the perfect skills to deal with the public. Thank you!

If I could rate a 0, I would .... I am so fed up with this place! I am livid! Every single person says something different ... tried saying I missed 2 payments in year 2019 when the loan wasnt even established until 2021!!!!!! So yes, I have questions! Yes, I am extremely mad! That is my credit... none of u are taking accountability and responsibility for the mistakes u have made..repeatedly. I finally get someone on the phone again today and she wont explain anything to me, is extremely rude bc Im upset about what is going on, and hung up on me ! Yes..hung up on me ! The absolute worst credit union to get a car loan from. My car was totaled in 2019 my insurance paid its portion, Gap insurance paid its portion and the car dealership paid its portion and there was still a balance left over. No one would work with me. I m being charged late fees for a car I don t have. No one will return my calls and every time I call to speak with customer service they re very rude and unpleasant to speak with. This has been the worst decision I ve made. I wouldn t recommend this credit union to anyone.

You charge members for bank checks when I can go to shared branches and get them free. Your people, especially some of the tellers act like your bothering them of you ask about anything beyond your immediate transaction. To long of a wait to speak with someone about account. One talks to much about her life. Do have Zelle. Withdrawal limit from is too low. Dont you know the cost of doing business has been out of control for years now and is getting worst not to mention the cost of living. This forces us to use our debit card. This contributes to an uncontrolled household budget.

I ve always shared my pleasure with Electro, since they opened, boy I m sure disappointed now the reviews I ve read are awful . . . what s happened up there? To be fair I hardly ever need to go to the office, I use a different CU in my neighborhood to do everyday transactions, since they are all connected now. I started this review because I have been disappointed since they stopped all dividends to the gold checking accounts, let s be honest think the good things of the gold are gone too. Think it s time we depositors deserve to have those dividends reinstated. Profits to the members yes, yes, yes.

They have continually charged me twice for ATM usage. Just today, I withdrew $40, it charged me $43.. usual. But about 20 minutes later the bank throws another charge for $2.25 on my account. The people and establishments are all crooks. I will be taking legal action seeing that this is like the hundredth time they have done this. I would recommend staying as far away as you can

Excellent experience with obtaining a loan, it was all done completely over text. The loan representative was friendly and helpful, and the funds were in my account within 24 hours. At first when I went to ESCU from an old school stuck in the 1980s bank, it was a bit of a shock at the modern way they do business but overall, I think joining ESCU was one of the best things I have done in my financial life to date.

I would highly recommend Electro Savings Credit Union for your business. The experience is way more personal than a big bank. I was banking with them before the pandemic closures. When my business was shutdown, they were very quick in helping me receive a PPP loan quickly. Other business owners in my neighborhood were reporting long waits with no word from their banks and other CU. For most business owners not only was there a long wait to get the loans, there was a long (up to 18 months) for the SBA to forgive the loan and pay back the banks. I heard from some that banks were tired of waiting and started collecting monthly payments from business owners. Not ESCU. They worked with me and deferred my payments, until it was finally forgiven. You cant beat the personal relationship with a small credit union!

Setting up online banking is a nightmare. I gave Electro 3 tries, and now I guess I will change banks as they couldnt/ or didnt know how to help me. First, the bank closed my neighborhood branch, and maybe I see why now. Who puts up with a lack of knowledge to set up online banking?

My problem started with forced insurance. The paperwork requested was provided. Next month, same issue, paperwork provided a second time, actually 3rd time counting the paperwork provided at time of loan. The forced charges, raised monthly payment, which there was no notification. So the payments sent, even though I was adding extra for principal, were still not enough to cover insurance. This put my payments as delinquent, so they could not be paid online. The representative I spoke with about this told me in June, 10 weeks ago, that with our conversation she would do a transfer from savings that with the credit back for the insurance charges, would make everything current. This would allow me to use online transfers again to pay. There have been several calls since, trying to find out why this has not happened. The few times actually getting to speak with her, its always just its in process and its resolved. I called upset about this the last few times and left messages....no response and no help. I had still been able to pay my electro credit card by transfer from savings, my last one was done a week ago. I called a day later and complained again that I still couldnt make loan payment online, still showed delinquent. 3 days later I checked and now my credit card shows delinquent (its not, never has been....500 was transfered to it 3 days earlier. My plan is to payoff credit card and have loan refinanced through a different source, close savings account. This vehicle is my 4rth financed with electro.....my last.

Ive never experienced such bad customer service from a bank. Tiera Hightower believes she can just do and say whatever she wants. Sons refinance is waiting on a document she is too lazy too request. Maybe Capital One wants our business instead. So much for trying to support local businesses during Covid when you have staff this bad. What a shame. I know I wont be back when my current loan is paid off either. Please see owner response below. NO ONE reached out to me from the bank after several attempts to resolve.

Used to be a great place back in the day, now it feels the same as everyone else. After a very long relationship with them I no longer feel valued as a member. I have paid off a house, cars, have great credit but when I asked for help they turned me down without even talking to me. I have been moving my business away from here and would recommend you find a credit union that still values its members.

I recently completed the process of refinancing my car for the first time with Electro savings. Not knowing what to expect, I can say this was the best experience! I worked with Lisa Corley and she is the best of the best hands down. She went above and beyond in every category to make my experience and smooth as possible, answered my emails in record timing (not kidding) and was so so personable and not to mention very knowledgeable! Lisa made sure To explain everything though and through, answered all of my questions & then some! I will highly recommend Electro Savings and specifically LISA!!!!

I recommend Electro Savings Credit Union over any Credit Union or regular bank Electro treats you very well . The best credit union that I have been with period. I have banked with TogetherCU for years and no benefits, not even a cash back debt card. Together credit union doesn t approve car loans or credit cards or anything. I recommend Electro Credit Union because they care about your needs and they will work with you even if you need a little extra help with rebuilding your credit. Go and sign up people it s time to upgrade to something better.

What surprised me was how willing they were to help. I see alot of negative reviews, but the reality is that no bank is perfect and we cant have what we want when we want it, but a bank whos willing to work with you when you really need it is invaluable. Fix your ATMs!!!! It seems that they are down every other week! I went to this location to try and deposit a check, ATM says it is not in service. Went all the way down to the Wildwood location and the ATM says they do not take deposits! What the hell. Now I have to wait until Tuesday (monday is a holiday) when the lobby is open to deposit a check that I desperately needed earlier! This makes me want to close my account with Electro Savings and look elsewhere.

Ive banked with them since 2017, and today I closed my account. Below are my experiences. Original review of Mid 2018: normal staff are great people never had a problem with them. If it wasnt for them Id of left by now. Unfortunately the management is some of the worst Ive dealt with. 5 stars to staff, 1 star to management. Edit as of Jan. 4 2021: Im closing my account with them, absolutely terrible bank. Staff has gotten so much worse, which is sad because they used to be great. Management is your standard Sorry nothing I can do but if you call this person they can help, rinse and repeat. The $8 bonus for maintaining a Kasasa is not worth the fees and other shady policies this institution has in place. They have even gone as far as breaking the law and passing the blame on to someone else. Beware if you have a loan with them they will take your money. Look up: Division N Additonal Corona Virus Response and Relief Page: 1924 Title 2: Assistance To Individuals Families, Businesses, Line 13-15 4th page of Division N Section Subtitle B Covid Related Tax Relief Act of 2020 Section 271 Sub-Section 6428 A: 2020 Recovery Rebates for Individuals Under: C Garnishment Pg 64 Line 16 To Summarize: They should not follow the usual laws of garnishment i.e. They cant take your Stimulus for a loan. They can only take it for a due balance on your account. Know your rights, stay away from this Shady Institution disguised as a Credit Union. I will take my business and my money elsewhere and would rather pay a small maintenence fee to a more credible institution with more reasonable and respectful employees. Edit #2: During my time closing my account, which lasted a half hour, this is what happened. Full disclosure this was between 12:30-1:00 so that maybe why it took so long, and it was through the drive thru. The customer Rep. Attempted to negate my request by stating its usually done in the lobby, delayed sending me the paper work to fill out while servicing other customers who had pulled up after me. These same people rhat showed up after me left before I even got my paper work. Again probably due to the circumstances, but nonetheless the rep then delayed sending me out my money after receiving my paper work. In total it took less than five whole minutes to fill out this sheet and send it with my drivers license. This was in my car where Im limited on flat services to use and I still managed to do in less time than it took to send it out to me or send the money to me. Ill let you make your own opinions about the circumstances of my transaction. Lastly, on more than one occasion Ive experienced the bank rearranging withdrawal of payments from auto pay bills so that the biggest go first causing the account to go negative before the other withdrawls hit giving you more overdraft fees. For example: If you had 4 bills and this is the order they are withdrawn according to past times. 1. $15 2. $20 3. $10 4. $105 Account Balance is: $100 They will and have done this to me as well as others I know, who have already left the credit union, rearrange the withdrawals to be: 1. $105 (OD Fee -$30) 2. $15 (OD Fee -$30) 3. $10 (OD Fee -$30) 4. $20 (OD Fee -$30) Account Balance: -$170 When in reality with one overdraft fee it shouldve only been -$35. Yes its my fault for going negative in these instances, just as its anyones fault for going negative unless direct fault of the credit union. Which they will only reverse fees twice if its their fault as told to me buy more than one rep. But what isnt your or any other consumers fault is that they rearrange the fees so you are charged more making them more money. This is clear exploitation of the Credit Unions members (Customers). I dont blame the front line Reps. They do not benefit from these practices. I blame upper management. Lots of finical institutions participate in this rearranging of withdrawals, but usually its banks, I switched to a credit union to be protected from these sorts of practices. Not to be exploited even more than I would be at a National Bank Chain.

If I could I would give zero stars. Banking with these people is insane. My account gets locked all the time. I can never see whats in my account because my online banking stopped working. I tried to reset my pass code so I can use my online account but I was given a temporary one that doesnt even work. I ordered a new debit card. But it got declined and I was just told I could use it. Theres plenty of money in my account. But Im so angry because I have no access to it. So tomorrow Im taking out all my money and closing my account!

Ive been banking with Electro since around 2012. Their customer service is stellar and theyve been extremely helpful and prompt! Theyve helped me with so many services over the years, from setting up e-banking to credit cards to with car loans! My only real criticism of Electro is their ATM service, which has been extremely inconsistent. They put in a new ATM a couple years back and Ive had nothing but problems with it. They only have one machine too, unless you want to drive all the way to their other location. Its also down for maintenance about every other week, and has even eaten my check at one point. Overall, Ive been extremely satisfied with Electros customer support but they desperately need a new ATM. EDIT: No joke, the day after I wrote this review their machine ate my check again. Electro desperately needs to get a new ATM because their current machine is absolutely unacceptable. It has repeatedly failed to perform the most basic functions. I work a side gig that pays me mostly with physical checks and cash, so being able to deposit and withdraw at my leisure is extremely important to me. Im seriously considering banking elsewhere, thats how bad it is. Please get a new ATM.

they do NOT protect your account against sales online fraud as a matter of fact they will give every excuse in the world not to help even when their own credit card security stopped the first transaction and was told not to allow any more but when someone there called me back to discuss it they basically called me a liar telling me That is NOT what they said dont wast your time or your money on this useless financial institution they do NOT care about their customers only the fees they can charge !

I have been with this credit union since 2013-2014 and at first they were great but over the years they have gotten terrible. They have lost their touch as far as customer service for members. Bank elsewhere i know i will be soon not sure what happened but i Always pay my car notes on time but if u want a place that will constantly find a way to rip u off woth hidden fees and then tell u bs then this is the place for u. I wouldn t recommend them to the worst kind of people.

I find it egregious you have abandoned S County. Great customer service. Wait, I mean no customer service. I am not driving to Wildwood nor Maryland Heights to a drive through. If you cannot remedy this situation, then I will abandon you when you reopen my branch. I am quite unhappy! Fix it!

Have never had such personal care as I have had with Erica (Member service rep @ Tesson Branch), she goes above and beyond to meet any financial situation you have. Whatever you need, home, auto, credit card, savings, checking, this bank does it!! All the tellers are very nice and remember who you are when you walk in. I love this small Credit Union, it serves all the things that the big chain banks do, except with fast, friendly, personal care.

We had a problem with the original representative we spoke to, he just seemed like he had no interest in helping us get a solution asked for a supervisor and he wouldnt get one. Later I had one want to contact us and we resolved the problem. I am happy that electro savings credit union followed up with their call back as promised.

i was on hold for 30 mins no one answered the phone. i called back twice on hold for 10 mins each and the phone automatically hung up. i do not recommend their services.

BARRYS BOSS SHOULD READ THIS!! If I could give this place a zero I would. If you value people who value your business go somewhere else. I have a major issue with Barry(the loan VP or whatever his title is). There is no reason this man should be allowed to attack and yell at members. I called about an issue. I explained to him my account would be closed due to his lack of empathy and understanding. I asked his title I got yelled at then hung up on. When I called back to complain about the issues with him. Why is he the one who got back on the phone telling me I couldnt speak to anyone else and not allowed to call back? He then proceeded to yell at me and tell me why he thinks Im closing my account. Its truly sad that Barry has the title he does. I will NEVER in my life do business with someone who yells, attacks, and belittles me as a human being. Oh yeah I forgot to mention the lack of professionalism. He then after he yelled and hung up on me deactivated my debit card falsely! Thanks to him my daughter wont be receiving one of her presents due to this issue. Please go where YOU are appreciated. Please dont give them your business or money. YOU deserve to be treated like a human. How do you expect to keep members when you clearly dont care about people? Oh well.. My business has been moved to a different institution. I will no longer do business with them. And I will make sure to let everyone I know to stay away. Edit: after reading other reviews it seems Barry has caused quite a few issues. I guess this company keeps paying Barry to deter their customers to go to their competitors.

I have been banking here since they opened. I have never had a problem with direct deposit. My deposit is not available early money but its always in the account by 9 am. They financed my car loan and I got a great rate. I have not had any problem with this credit union. They have always been accommodating and pleasant.

Credit unions are supposed to be for the members and the shareholders. Its supposed to be tailored to your experience as a member. This credit union is not. They are just as scammy as a regular bank. Hidden fees, overdrafts despite paying for overdraft protection, overdrafts when you actually have money in the bank. Nothing about this credit union is for its members. Its for the profit of those in charge. Ive had great experiences with some of the regular service members. But when it comes to higher up management, they just like to cut corners and do their best to save themselves a buck, while disregarding what is best for the members. I will be closing my account and taking my business to another credit union.

Been banking at Electro almost since they opened. My dad was the treasurer when it first opened and he opened an acct for me when I was 14. Lots of changes since then but the staff s hospitality and helpfulness is still top notch. Always have had good experiences at ESCU. Highly recommend.

Just opened this account last month and all I can say is don t waste your time. I get paid on Thursdays so please tell why it s now Monday and I still haven t received my direct deposit due to how their direct deposit works. I repeat find you another credit union because this one is horrible

Been with them since 2015. Have been with other big named banks previously I have never liked and always paying tons of fees. Everyone I have ever spoke too has been very pleasant, even if they are having to pass the news of denying a loan. In that one case they pointed me or gave advice in the right direction what things I could do to improve.

Barry is the rudest manager ever. Very unprofessional. Im taking my buisness and money out this Credit Union. They are unprofessional period. Do not .I repeat Do not Bank here !!!!

Kim Donnoly, branch manager of the Craigshire location is probably the s ill-mannered and most unprofessional person Ive dealt with during my 9 years with Electro Savings. Kim doesnt respond to voicemails or keep her word on returning your call promptly,Ive had to call numerous occasions on which she was supposed to call me the next day but turned to three or four day hunt for her service. I was really shocked at the customer service provide but these GOOGLE AND YELP RATINGS show that I am not alone in my experience with Electro . After my last experience I probably will be leaving the Bank. I decided i wont be dealing with the racist undertone and blatant disrespect from Kim Donnoly the Branch manger Electro Savngs Branch much longer, service starts at the top of the Branch. Fail... Fail... Fail Electro Savings and Kim Donnoly

Customer service here is the worst in the business. Barry Jones,head of the loan department fails to return calls and is extremely rude and demeaning when talking with him. Dont have business with this bank.

The worst bank Ive ever experienced. My account was set up her with the assistance manager here. I was never offered for over draft protection from the manager. They mailed me a paper to sign up for protection and I was told to leave it with one of the associates there. Still no protection. The line is always taken up and hold operater automatically hangs up after two transfers. Im leaving this bank

I absolutely love all the staff at the Maryland heights location. They always help me even over the phone when Im at work and have a question for them. Ill never change credit unions thats for sure!

I am always greeted with a friendly smile and the service is quick and precise. Mobile services are excellent. I love the card controls feature that allows you to enable and disable your cards with a click of a button. I keep my credit card off until I want to use it. Great Security feature.

The old lady with short hair helped me. She was rude from the start. She didnt come great me like other banks or credit unions. She got snotty and also didnt hand my cards to me like I did her instead she slid them to me across the table. Very rude unprofessional... Opened new account but thinking about closing it because of this ugly old witch

This people are so arrogant disrespectful and no morality. It is all about money with them in bought my car with them 3 years ago and lost my job after a surgery a year ago and I cant get a job for almost a year now but I still pay them every month because this man called David call me 3 times a week maybe more to collect his money. I started my computer consulting services and opened a shop until Big Bend they asked me to come and apply for a loan cause I need money and Im 2 months later on my car. I went there to meet David I set there for 20mins he was on lunch and he sent this short young to tell me my application was declined and if I cant pay the 700 I owe they will take my car is woke up this morning my car is gone no notice

Always very friendly and attentive at the Craigshire branch. Always a wave when I come in the building. When my 20 year old son needed a car loan and I did not want to co-sign, we worked together to help him establish credit and get a loan that was in line with the risk. They are always easy to work with.

Honestly I understand the need to prevent bank fraud but the Snotty Elitist older women who seem to populate the Wildwood and Manchester Branches are over the top with their arrogant attitude, to the point of being obnoxious. One should not have to be almost fingerprinted to deposit cash into someones account without being read a dissertation of rules and regulations each and every time. OH, and I joked about how I am surprised she didnt try to fingerprint me and she told me if I WAS an Electro Credit Union member I WOULD be fingerprinted. The capitalized words are when her voice level escalated with delight. And then they just laugh about it with a hideous sound that resembles that horrible judgmental Aunt you dont like. So....word of advice...ask yourself if its worth their nonsense and controlling abuse.
