Dad's Super Pawn

Mac and Ray are two of the most amazing people I have ever dealt with. However the owner not so much. I am a frequent customer and coin collector. I have a proven track record and 100 percent redemption rate. I go in with coins all of the time. This guy believes that the only coins worth money are 1965 and before. I asked for a simple small amount and this guy had the nerve to low ball me and tell me he has to make money. I asked for a $50 loan on $250 worth of coins. You would think as a valued customer the company would trust I would be back. Unfortunately I will redeem my items and bring my business elsewhere. In my opinion the owner cares not about the customer but only about the almighty dollar. I understand a business needs to make money but I also understand the importance of retaining good customers. The only reason that business will survive is because of Mac and Ray. So thanks to both of you and hate that we are cutting ties. So long my friends.

UnFortunately, I can’t speak for the pawn shop, part of dad‘s, because I’ve never had to pawn anything! But when it comes to firearms and ammunition, I’ve been going there since they first open their doors. Great place! Great people! With all the new guns on the market and all the new holsters all the different styles it’s almost impossible for any gun dealer to carry every type of holster for every type of gun! A couple of weeks ago , I went in to dads and was looking for a holster for a GEN one Smith & Wesson 45 automatic 3516 ! I knew it was going to be a longshot, but one of the employees actually helped me that day. Go through all the holsters to see if we could find one that fit the Smith 4516 and after about 15 minutes, we succeeded with a holster that was actually made for a Glock, but it fit perfect! I was very pleased that the employee took the time to help go through 90% of the leather holsters to find one, that fit my gun. They are good people that work there! The last firearm that I got was a double barrel stage coach 12 gauge 3 inch chamber with real working rabbit ears shotgun! One of my prized possessions.

Jeanine was very helpful! We live in New Orleans and drive to Gulfport for the great deals they have! From rings, watches, tools GUNS!! And much much more. She has sized rings for me. Replaced diamonds, bought back diamonds to upgrade them to bigger diamonds. I highly recommend this place to anyone. Wide selection in firearms which was what I was looking for at recent visit. One of the staff, Drew, helped me pick out the right firearm for myself and was very patient with all of my questions and inquiries. He was very knowledgeable about the products. He and Hank were very friendly and made sure our visit went as smooth as possible. We will definitely be returning!

As an avide gun collector and inthusiast I would disagree that guns are overpriced. As for the negative reviews. No I didnt walk in the door to a red carpet, photographers, and every employee there asking for my autograph....I saw what I liked, asked a guy hey I need to see this, guy showed it to me, I bought it. As for jewelry side, wife did same thing, let me see this, showed to her , she bought, we left. I got off my high horse before I walked in. In this world, you are not above all, you do not get mom and dad treatment from everyone. Hey Karens, put your big kid pants on and face this world like you all growd up........

I went in Dads looking for a Kimber Micro 9. Two of the counter guys showed me a used like new black Kimber Micro 9. And it was the black version that I had been looking for. They worked up a deal with a trade in within minutes. Ive been there many times over the years buying different things. But, this was my first gun purchase with Dads. I was limited for time due to a couple of engagements. The counter guys made it painless and the purchase went smooth. I cant say enough of their professionalism they showed. I carried my pistol home cleaned/lubed and shot it. I absolutely loved my Kimber Micro 9. Everyone at Dads Pawn Shop has always been helpful and pleasant. Youll loved this store!

I stood waiting for about 10 minutes with ppl looking at me and walking to the back, like I wasnt there. It wasnt until I told my husband lets go that I got some attention. I told her no I dont need anything, Im good. I did go back thinking it would be different and the lady acted like she couldnt pull anything out so, I could look at it.... Absolute horrendous customer service. Ordered a firearm to their location so I could pick it up. Brought in a printed copy of my vehicles registration for proof of address and was indirectly told it was fake. Ended up shipping the firearm back to the manufacturer and went with a different business.

Went up there to purchase some firearms for their tax free weekend. They were more worried about turn and burn than quality customer service. I bought two guns from them and spent 1300 dollars and both NEW guns had blemishes on them. I called it to the attention of the salesman and I asked him if I could see several of them to find the best one.. he straight up told me no and said it was too busy to do that. He said to me that its going to get scratched up eventually anyways. I wonder if hed buy a brand new car with scratches on it even though its going to get scratched anyways. Bottom line. Any time I ever bought a blemish gun online it was discounted.they just wanna sell scratched up stuff and convince you that its all good. Ill never do business with them again. And Im for sure going to make sure all of my buddies never go there either. When you have someone spending 1300 in your store you do your best to make them happy. Customer service comes first.

The staff was extremely condescending and disrespectful when a customer didnt have an expert level of knowledge. The older gentleman with white hair behaved in a manor that I could only describe as demeaning, and I can only say that in my opinion, they do more to damage then help the second amendment, and I would not recommend for new shooters.

I went in to pay a bill for someone and the person behind the counter had made a mistake. She fixed it right away but there was change that needed to be picked up. I went to pick up the change and I got mixed up with the address and she began berating me. I was trying to explain that I am a case worker and got mixed up. She said I couldn t have the money owed to my client because I didn t have the information correct. I completely understand this but she could ve said the same thing without being so awful to me for no reason.

Drew was very helpful! I needed a reliable service pistol for work but I also needed a holster that it would fit into. We browsed several firearms and holsters until we found a good match. It took perhaps a little longer than I wouldve expected but my dude was a rockstar! He made sure I was outfitted properly and helped with everything I needed. I would definitely recommend Dads Super Pawn if youre in need of a service pistol and/or holster! It was a great visit and Ill definitely be back.

First of all, I have lived in Ohio, Arizona, Utah, and now Mississippi. Dads Super Pawn has, by far, the most incredible inventory I have ever seen in my life. I ve only dealt with Drew. He is the most pleasant, polite professional I have encountered in the firearm industry. I traded a Taurus Judge along with a Springfield Armory XMD(NIB/unfired) for an HK VP9SK. As a side note the Taurus Judge sat in a high desert storage shed and had slight corrosion(As long as I live I will never purchase a Taurus again). He gave me super fair trade value! Dads selection is unparalleled. Highly recommended.

Great staff and good prices on firearms. If youre looking for a firearm I highly suggest you visit Dads Super Pawn. They have all types of firearms with good prices. I traded in a pistol and received a good offer. I read some of the reviews before going to Dads and Its worth mentioning that you will not trade in a used firearm and get what you paid new unless its rare or a collectible. There are many guns in the store and nobody is going to buy a used gun at a new price. Thats just plain common sense. If you want to buy a firearm then look no further.

Went to have my ring resized and was told it would be ready in a week. Called back in a week and it hasnt been touched. Had my sister go pick it up and she didnt notice the damage to it. Got it home it had been cut to be resized (by them) and it wasnt fixed. It was ruined. It also was bent on one side of where it had been cut. I called them to let them know what they did and was told they didnt even touch it when their the ones who cut it to be resized. I tried to get them to pull their cameras but they wouldnt. Now my deceased uncles ring is torn and it cant be replaced. Will not ever get business from me again.

What a rip off. New 9mm bought from here for $499. Never fired and took it back for refund...they would only give half of what I paid for it. Then wanting to sell jewelry...dont bother. My diamond cocktail ring they would only but for $150 saying they go by the weight of the gold. Nope...never will I step foot in there again.

Although they have not always had the guns I was looking for, everyone at Dads has always been very informative, and quick to offer facilitating FFL to FFL shop transfers, if I find a gun elsewhere. Are they always the cheapest? No, but they have earned my trust, which is why Ill likely deal with Dads alone, when it comes to firearms/ammo.

Prices are ridiculous and they try to play you pawn. They tried to offer me 60 bucks for ps4 pro....do yourself a favor, if you have the time go to Haneys Pawn in Diberville. Much better prices and WAAAAAAAY better customer service.

Good prices on guns and ammo, bought my first handgun here. Staff was polite and patient despite being very busy. One of the only places Ive been able to find target ammo recently.

Amazing people, prices, products, my biggest complaint is their phone. Every time I call I m on hold for 10-15 minutes When all I m trying to ask is a simple question. I ask and instead of an answer they transfer you immediately and you keep coming back to the same lady. I love DSP though and will continue to shop there I just wish they made it easier on people as far as phones go.

Went today to cash my check and was made to feel like a criminal by the ladies that cash checks because they did not recognize my employer they proceeded to look then up on Google I could see they found and then asked me what kind of check it was that I gave them .it was a payroll check then proceeded to call my employer Wich was fine to ask if her if the number she called was a business to then get no answer to hand my check back and say we will not be doing business with you ..the snide attitude was very unprofessional this is not the first time Ive seen or heard these two woman treat people with such a bad attitude I came in there.with an old white tshirtT on I looked as I was from the street from working all day and I feeL like because of that this played a huge part in there decision do not go here!!

During this pandemic as checks came out dads pawn shop was incredible with customer service the staff were very friendly and very concerned about us waiting in line while being very cautious about us staying 6 feet away From each other they past out water and it was very HOT. Mr Kevin and the gentlemen passing out the water was very nice and he had everyone laughing and he was very generous and I think he is a GREAT asset to this company. Sent two firearms there for a FFL Transfer and when I went to pick them up they were trying tonchrge me $40 per transfer when its 25 everywhere else. I would have sent them to another local FFL if I knew dads superpawn was going to proce gouge on transfer fees ...ridiculous

This place if full of self righteous people. Who thinks that they are better then the customers that fine themselves having to pawn are sale there belongings. They also tell you one price for you to be if you come in before the do date to pick up you things but when you do that the chance it to get more money out of you. I will never send anyone to them. Everyone there is rude to you

I went to pick up a firearm that was listed $180 on their website. There was an option to pay online an pick the gun up for that price. I decided to just drive 70 miles and pay in person since the website showed plenty in stock. When I got there and asked for the gun they didnt know what it was and one guy said I dont think we have those. .... Well, they did have them and they were priced at $250, that is $70 dollars higher than online. After waiting around for a while they did agree to honor the online price but the explanation they gave made no since. Well, thats the online price if you order it and pick it up. they said.....So, if i just walk in you get an extra $70 bucks?????? I commend them for honoring the price though.

I had recently purchased a weatherby and needed assistance with a scope base. I asked a man behind the counter if he could help me find a base and he said a certain base would fit my rifle . I take it home and put it on my gun and found out it would not work. Which is fine. Not every gun is the same. So I begin to look for my receipt and ended up not finding it. I paid on a card and had to sign a receipt for them so they have a copy. I called down to ask if I can return the base and get another one that would fit and was told I could not return it. This all happened in a 30 minute time frame.

Jeanine was very helpful! We live in New Orleans and drive to Gulfport for the great deals they have! From rings, watches, tools GUNS!! And much much more. She has sized rings for me. Replaced diamonds, bought back diamonds to upgrade them to bigger diamonds. I highly recommend this place to anyone. My wife was looking to sell a $3000. Braclet. She was offered $1200. With the gia report. She came home to get the report that lists the value of the bracelet over $3000. When she returned with the report they refused and dropped their offer to under $100. Complete scam artist. Will not bother to darken their doorway again.

Mrs Joanne cashes my checks from work several times a month. I also use their nexis card that can be reloaded and used as a debit visa. I was considering coming to Dads to take a look at the guns you have there, but after the condescending person you let do your segment on Shop South Mississippi just today, I think Ill give it a miss. At first I was impressed with his knowledge of the guns on offer but from there it went downhill. It seems he thinks that all us ladies are interested in is sparkly jewelry and apparently we could care less about the guns and they should be left to the guys. Poor Jim Tabor tried to put him straight, but he just bumbled on about how they carry as much jewelry or more as firearms for us women. And us ladies just look at them and say (in a high pitched voice) oh its just gun stuff, lets get our husbands hunting stuff. But fear not, were just there for the jewelry in his opinion!!! Who the hell is in charge of the PR down there! Talk about discrimination. Pretty poor show, it was excruciating viewing!!

I have all my firearms shipped here to their FFL. Its cheap, $30 for all the paperwork. A friendly group of people and plenty of items for sale. If you havent been there...GO and see what they have to offer, Got this on my last visit.

Crooks point blank i have tried multiple time to do busy with them over the past few years. Starting back about 9 years ago when they accused me of being high bc my pupils were dialated which is all the time because of an accident. So fast forward to current, I went in to buy a weapon and brought 2 for sale. One of the firearms i placed on the counter after looking at a used beat up identical weapon under there counter for $900 used. Mine was mint with the original receipt and everything they come back with I ll give you $500. Which i though was low but i understand everyone has to make money. The second one being valued at $500 no including accessories which were on said weapon ie scope sling. Which were over $300. I offered $300 for the whole set up which i felt was more than fair. They come back with $150. Crooks, i was going to pay $1390 for the weapon i was wanting which can be order online for $900 but have to pay shipping and a ffl dealerfee.. crooks just plain and simple.

Everyone was super nice and friendly and very helpful. Also very knowledgeable about everything I asked in regards to firearms. Ask for Steve, hes the man! EDIT saw a review farther down about wearing a wu tang shirt and an issue with weed on. Well I went in with my mother while I was wearing my wu tang shirt that has the wu W made from buds and no one gave me a problem or batted an eye. Idk if the individual with the shirt was rude or anything but idk how wearing a shirt would hinder you from buying a firearm. I have dreads and tats and bought my first AR there, probably with a shirt on that was way more offensive than any wu tang shirt.

Ha placed a firearm on layaway about two weeks ago and I came back to get the gun today in my Wu Tang clan T-shirt, I get up to the counter the attendant takes my id after I d told him what I was there for and the guy walks away and comes back thirty seconds later saying I want to sell you this gun, but you re shirt has drugs on it( it had a pot lead on it) he babbled on about the DEA and Drugs and guns etc,needles to say they ve lost that purchase and any in the future. As a law abiding citizen I don t appreciate being discriminated against for something as simple as clothing. Dads is overpriced as it is, I ve shopped at high caliber pawn in Long Beach and it was a night and day different. Save your money and go elsewhere.

If i could give negative stars I would. The other day I took a laptop in which I had pawned previously elsewhere for $150 and was told they could only do a courtesy loan of $25 on because it was not apple and they would be lucky to get $100 for it. The next day I drove back to Pensacola and was able to pawn my computer for 160. I will never reenter this pawn shop

If it involves them making money you can probably get there attention here, Ive been in several times but beware its not a one on one experience here. It is usually very busy and there are only so many people behind the counter so be aware. There focus on money making is there firearms so dont come in with high expectations on other goods. If your looking for a knowledgeable staff on firearms they do pretty well, I will shop here again.

I had a slot of random items old, new about 100 items. Some was a little sentimental, but has value. They made me feel so i insignificant and they were making jokes. I first called and told them what I had and made sure well that was not the case. I was humiliated and embarrassed. I ll never step foot inside this business again.

Great service. I ordered a rifle through a website and had dads listed as my ffl dealer. It was a easy process plus dads had my assessory in stock and they mounted as soon as the rifle arrived. I would definitely shop a dads again.

My husband called to ask about ordering a part for his gun. The guy made it clear that he didnt have time to bother with it and even if he did, the part would be expensive. Money was never an issue. We were willing to pay whatever the cost would be. They will not get a penny from us.
