Drive Appeal in New Hope

If you find a car that you like and want to check out, I would recommend to bring a guy with you. The first two days of looking at my new car I had my boyfriend with me and our salesman Brian was very sweet, we talked a lot and he genuinely seemed excited for me to buy this car. However on the day of purchasing the vehicle, Brian was super angsty about me showing up with the check (when I specifically stated the day prior that I wouldn’t be able to get there until 3pm at the earliest). I understand that he wants to make the sale as soon as possible and wants to ensure that I’m still interested but it came off as passive aggressive and felt as though I was being pressured into purchasing my vehicle. When I arrived with the check, I brought my mom with me instead of my boyfriend because he was at work and Brian’s demeanour had completely changed. I went to inspect the vehicle before actually purchasing it and I had noticed that a giant heart scratch was etched into the drivers rear glass (where the sticker was located). I was a little annoyed with this because I was about to make a giant purchase and found out they were hiding things from me. Brian seemed upset when I had noticed the etching and walked back inside to give me a price for it. Another thing to note is that while he was walking back in he seemed to mock my boyfriend for fully inspecting the vehicle the day prior, which I would still highly recommend to anyone because you never know what someone could be hiding. I know now that I should’ve done research on the price of fixing the window but at the time I trusted him to not do me wrong. He told me that it would be around $100 so I agreed with that price and went on to signing papers. When I got home I called around to see what it would cost to repair the glass and it would be around $300+, so I was a bit upset about that and my mom ended up calling back to see if they couldn’t give us more. Brian answered and said “She already agreed on $100,” and hung up.
Another thing that has upset me after purchasing the vehicle is the fact that the vehicle itself has minor scratches all over and paint is already peeling and Brian wouldn’t lower the price of the vehicle.
I will say Adam was a treat to work with when signing papers, he was very friendly and didn’t seem upset at all to write a check to repair the hidden damage. If you do end up coming here, just be on the look out, as you would for any dealership/private buyer. Don’t trust people’s words!!

Other than that I’m still happy about the vehicle itself but not completely thrilled about the buying experience.

You can’t even be interested in 2 vehicles at a lot without being treated as a person trying to rummage and be up to no good. Then they wanna give me the fake “we wanna make sure you’re qualified” buddy you’re screaming you judge a book by it’s cover. if you think my credit score or whatever else isn’t in the cards just by looks just say that. Then we try to contact the owner to address the disrespectful comments “he’s in Southeast Asia” yeah that sounds about right. I wouldn’t give them your money even if you got it because the owner is in Asia while they’re cars are on the lot with issues.

I highly recommend Drive Appeal if youre looking for a new-to-you vehicle! I was in a total loss accident, so wasnt excited to be car shopping as Im sure you can understand haha. I found DA on google and stopped in on a Saturday. Steve helped me test drive a few vehicles that I had interest in. Though I didnt find the right fit for me, he was EXTREMELY helpful, knowledgeable, honest, quick, and not pushy. I was impressed by their inventory and they add cars often. Highly recommend!

Spent 11k on a Chevy Traverse and the engine seized after 2 months. Warranty was no longer good because I was slightly over the miles so I had no choice but put in another 10k to replace the engine, Ive had it back 2 weeks and now it is having trouble starting. WARNING! Do not buy anything from any of their locations. Imagine the bad stereotypes about used car dealers, and youll understand how these guys operate. Theyll tell you what you want to hear just to get you into their vehicle. We just bought a truck from them and the only reason we bought their truck over the others that we looked at was because we were told that the timing chain was replaced at a Ford dealership. Its a 2017 F-150 with the 3.5 ecoboost. Turns out the work was not done at a Ford dealership, but at a shop where if you go to the address listed on the invoice for work done, it takes you to a house on the outskirts of Princeton. Just a normal house, no shop, no large garage, nothing... When we were leaving, we started the truck and it was making quite the ticking sound. We stood there for a minute while I was listening and Adam yells to us while hes helping other customers, you know youre supposed to test drive that before you buy it while laughing. The facility smelled like a well used litter box. The finance manager Adam, very pushy, had us rapid fire signing all of the paperwork so he could move on to other customers. I called the next morning once I found out where the timing chain work was done and asked them to take the truck back. Adam got argumentative, said I shouldve returned the truck last night, but they wouldnt take it back 12 hours later, but they wouldve the night before? Whats the difference? If I could give 0 stars I would. I will take responsibility for not doing research on the repairs and where it was done. Had I known where the repairs were done before signing papers, we never would have proceeded. All we wanted to do is return the truck, which Adam said was a perfect truck and what we got instead is Adam telling me I have buyers remorse and that theyll stand behind their work because they offer a 3 month 3,000 mile warranty that wont cover anything. Based off the information on the invoice for the work done, they have violated a Minnesota state law and were in contact with the Attorney General and have strong thoughts about retaining legal services. Long story short, have a lawyer on retainer if you want to buy from these guys. Very terrible experience.

In August of 2022, I had purchased a 3 yr old vehicle from a different drive appeal location. It had some minor issues with check engine light due to some pollution control sensor ,02 sensor and evap hose leaking. Jeff ,the service manager was very fast at repairing the car free of charge both times , and gave me a very nice loaner car for use each time. 5,0000 miles later car is still running like new as it should, with no additional problems. Repair center is very new and modern like the car dealerships

Probably the shortest I had spent in a dealership. Steve was super fun to work with and had a lot of energy. Steve listened and showed me and my fiancée a few vehicles to accommodate our needs and found great deal on a Lincoln. Location was clean and neat as well. All in all a really positive experience, would recommend family and friends to Steve and most likely buy our next car there as well and ask specifically for Steve.

I had such a great experience with Steve when buying my Toyota Sedan. He is very knowledgeable I have very poor credit for various circumstances but he did not judge on contraire made the whole experience a breeze. I was in and out within 2 hours. As another reviewer once stated, if I could give zero stars I would. Poor customer service, problematic vehicles ( bought 2, 2nd one not by choice). Do not stand behind their vehicles or their service. If you like wasting time and getting the run around this IS the dealer for you. Owner lacks integrity. I would avoid this experience if I were you.

Do not trust their employees! Went there before they moved and test drove a couple vehicles. In one of them, the rpm gage was consistently up in the orange just trying to stay at 30 mph. The manager, whos name i unfortunately dont remember, said thats normal when its cold out.... this seemed very strange to me so we left and everyone (including a couple mechanics) Ive talked to said that is not true and they just wanted to make the sale. Dont trust their word! If you dont know a lot about cars bring it to someone who does before you buy from them! They just want to make the sale no matter what!

Purchased a Hyundai sonata and a few months later the battery died. When I took the battery to get replaced I found out that my car had a motor boat battery. Very unprofessional of them to sell a car with a boat battery but Im thankful no casualties resulted.

A very nice experience. after trying to buy at the new car dealers. hours of time and walking away empty handed due to the fact that the banks they deal with would only finance me if traded in the truck I already had a loan with. Drive appeal got me through to the car I wanted. And I didnt have to trade in my truck. Most of the work was done online and through email or on the phone. I got approval before even seeing the car. when I went to drive the car I found it to be nicer than the cars I saw at the big boys place. The whole deal took about 40 minutes and I was down the road. I will look to them first for any auto needs in the future.

Had to spend approximately $2,413 in repairs to fix a 2008 Cadillac DTS I bought from AC Motors in Crystal Minnesota. The following is an itemized list of the things that needed to be repaired or replaced immediately after purchasing the car: 1. $65.20 to clean plugged air conditioner evaporator drain. The passenger side floor flooded because the air conditioner evaporator drain was plugged up and the end result was that the water backed up into my passenger side floor, so I couldnt use the air conditioning during July, the hottest time of the year, until I got this fixed. So I had to sit in a sweltering hot luxury car miserable with no air conditioning because if I used the air conditioning it would flood the passenger side floor of the car and the mat would literally be floating in water! Package discount 10% off parts: $595. 9. Bearing, front suspension strut mount - $100.94. 10. Insulator, front spring upper - $19.42. 11. Shop supplies - $4.96. 12. Check suspension squeak. Replace L&R upper strut insulators - $45. 13. Front Shock Absorber - $327.52. 14. DIAGNOSE: Customer states that there is a squeak and clunk in the right front tire when going over bumps and when making a left turn. Customer also states that the sun roof is leaking and rattling - estimate: $30. Technician performed diagnostics as required: road test and visually inspect vehicle. Technician found that the right front strut is bad and recommends replacing. Technician removed and replaced the right front strut as required (no charge). Reassemble and test (good). Technician found that there were four loose bolts in the sun roof perimeter. Tighten as required. Test operation (good). - $30. The sun roof rattled terribly immediately after I bought it which was extremely annoying. When I put it through the car wash, I closed the sun roof door and soapy water flooded into the car through the dome light area and was dripping down from the dome lights onto the center console shifter and stained the area around the sun roof and warped the fabric around the sun roof. 15. Front End Alignment: Check and set camber, caster, and toe-in. Center steering wheel. - No charge. None of this was ever disclosed to me or noticed in the test drive. Upon reviewing the CarFax report, it appears that on 5/31/19, AC Motors in New Hope, Minneapolis did a pre-delivery inspection and replaced the control arms, but nothing else with regards to the suspension system. Ish Soumah did not want to negotiate with me on the price either. Adam Delacy did drop the price down $500, but that doesnt come anywhere close to covering the cost of these repairs. And some of it is minor stuff, preventative maintenance sort of stuff that is simple and cheap such as the sun roof and plugged air conditioner evaporator drain. The financing I got through them though, Royal Credit Union, has been great and offered me generous terms because I have good credit and I got a low interest APR loan rate through them and was also offered a credit card through them at only 9.5% APR, which is a great interest rate and their customer service has been great, and my customer service experience at the dealership was generally great, but doesnt make up for the whole experience. The car is fixed now and is finally running good, thousands of dollars later. Very dissatisfied with AC Motors and would not buy from them again!

I was told that i have to pay $2100 to get it fixed & then they said they will work with me & i can pay $1800 smh this is not fair because i havent had the car a whole month. Willis Burks of AC Motors in Crystal, MN is a crook! He included Alpha Warranty Services, Inc. to our car loan and lied that it came with the loan 2 years ago. Our father passed away and we ( my bro.) who is my co-signer, were looking over all of our bills because were moving overseas and noticed that our car was sold without warranty. No extra services were promised or implied our paper work said. Then, we looked over the papers and noticed Alpha warranty Services, Inc was included by that lying, good for nothing Willis Burks discreetly. We called our lawyer who advised us to contact the dealership in an attempt to resolve this. I called Wills Burks, he had the nerve to say, Did you signed the contract or not!? He also said, no need to call your lawyer, just call and cancel the contract.? Like, seriously, Willis! The contract you included and lied about? I called Alpha Warranty Services, Inc and theyre always not within business hours. Willis Burks, you will hear from us! $2250 for a garage warranty weve never used or intend on using!? Not while Im living and working hard for my cash...!

I was sold a car with a transmission that is going out. And a catalyst converter that needs to be replaced. I was told by the dealership that they don t sell any cars that don t run well.while testing the car I just thought there was a problem with the breaks Smh the dealership supposedly didn t know yeah right . He did take 1000 off the car. And now I see the reason why I m am very un happy with this car it looks nice but runs like . I bought the peace of in February and now it s the end of April almost I ve been called to speak about my license plates form ac motors and tabs that they order and spoke to the lady s that work in that department all I get is run around from ac motors .when have it took 3 or more months to receive a license plate/tabs ?straight bs if you ask me.

Awful customer service, dont waste your money and your time. 30 days after I bought my vehicle at A.C. Motors located at Crystal, MN, I had problems with the breaks and DVDs stopped working. I called the dealer, and Renaldo the sales man was super rude, I asked to talk to the manager Willis Burks, who yelled at me, the vehicle you bought had more than 100,000 miles on it, what did you expect?. They told me to take it to Auto Concepts, (second mistake I made after buying a car at A.C. Motors) the guys from Automotive Conceps have poor customer service and treated me like if they were superior then their customers, charged me A LOT of money for fixing it. Then I took it in to fix the DVDs, because the dealer was suppose to cover it, Automotive Concepst kept my vehicle for 3 days, and never called me, I called them to check on it, well they said they couldnt fix them, that all they could do was to send it somewhere else to get it fixed, and you waited 3 days to tell me that?
