After some less than ideal visits to other jewelry stores in the area with pushy salesmen, we finally found Norman’s. My girlfriend, now fiancé, wanted to create a custom engagement ring after not having found one she really liked while shopping around. We met with Nick, who does Norman’s custom work and he was a breath of fresh air! Nick was AMAZING!! He went over every option and detail and above everything else, wanted to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. He was NEVER pushy about literally anything and his clarifying questions put us at ease since we hadn’t thought about every little detail. He sourced a few stones for us to look at and choose from and they were beautiful and high quality! We picked one but I’m sure if we wanted more options he would’ve happily ordered more to look at! After the initial consultation and choosing the stone(s), he sent us engineering CAD to show us exactly what the ring would look like. The CAD was super helpful and even though we felt great about what he sent us, he still offered for us to call if we had any questions or concerns. The ring is beautiful and the whole process ended up being better than we imagined possible with such bad luck in the beginning. NICK IS THE MAN and Norman’s is the place if you want a custom engagement ring! We definitely will be coming back for any future jewelry needs.

I got wrong due dates over the phone. I went in to make a payment ,I asked for a receipt and I was told there s no point I mailed you a letter I asked once again for a receipt and I was told that we don t charge you for a receipt so it s just a waste of paper excuse me? Nick runs easily the best loan and custom jewelry store in the mid west. They are extremely nice and I would argue they know more about fine jewelry, watches, furs, and handbags than the manufacturers. I struggle to use the word pawn because right when you walk in, you will immediately feel the difference between them and any other pawn store you have ever been in. I highly recommend them and have been happy sending referral clients to them for over 10 years, they even custom designed my wifes engagement ring and wedding band.

So, so happy with my Normans experience! As a relatively new resident of Metro Detroit, I wasnt quite sure where to take a ring I inherited from my Great Uncle for assessing, sizing and shining. Nick graciously gave the ring a closer look to confirm the stone and metal, which Ive been curious about since the ring was passed along to me in early 2020, and had it ready within two business days. Shes an absolute babe, and I cannot wait to wear her every day! Nick also recently finished a custom initial necklace for me something I ve wanted for years and I m so happy with the final product. Nick was amazing and walked me through the entire process of buying an engagement ring. My knowledge of diamonds was zero and he explained absolutely everything to do with buying a diamond... the cut, which carat to buy and the best clarity. Let me just start by saying that i am NOT the kind of guy to EVER leave a review online. That being said, I feel inclined to do so because WOW - this is the best experience I have ever had or received in a jewelry store. Beautiful store from the moment you walk in, wide variety of GRADE A luxury goods, staff was extremely knowledgeable...just WOW. One of the owners showed me around personally, explaining all of the estate pieces and different types of jewelry they had on display. He even went to get his custom jewelry designer and brought him out to discuss ideas with me on wedding rings. I believe his name was Nick? Great guy. Norman s is great. They have a huge selection of jewelry and other items that will allow you to find whatever you re looking for. I called the store a couple days before stopping by and Nick asked a bunch of pointed questions to narrow in my focus. When I showed up he had several items that fit what I was looking for and then walked me through the pros and cons of each item. I walked out with a great piece for my wife and she was really happy. Nick at Norman s Jewelry & Loan is great to work with! He brings out your vision. He created an identity bracelet for my nephew as a baby shower gift. I ll definitely be going to him for my nephew s baptism jewelry and all of my other needs. Everyone there is extremely nice - I brought the bracelet back to have links added to it as my nephew grew bigger and I was taken care of without worry. Its Feb 19th, 2020... I just left Normans... YES THEY ARE OPEN!!! While they repair the building the main door is closed but u have to go around to the back of the building to the back door which is unlocked!!! U must go see NICK!! He is AWESOME!!! Great prices. Excellent jeweler for repairs and sizing. I never thought I could afford the most beautiful Rolex on the planet until I stopped at Normans. I have been going here for over 20 plus years and I know everyone who works there is very professional and they know everything about jewelry! If you want anything special to be made for you or a loved one, than these are the people that...I would highly recommend going to, than anywhere else! If you need cash to pay for something unexpected that came up or in need of fast cash from your jewelry, theyll give you the most for your jewelry and you pay on it every 3 months, until you can afford to pay for your jewelry to get back out of pawn, you pay cash only on pawns! Theyll pay higher for your scrap gold, old jewelry or something that you dont want anymore, then other places and theyll fix your jewelry also at a reasonable price too! Theyve even cleaned my jewelry as I was waiting to pay on my pawn or I was just looking for a new pair of gold earrings!

My fiance had my engagement ring resized at Normans, and he was very pleased with the service they provided. I therefore decided to get my wedding band made at Normans. My mom gave me four small diamonds that belonged to my grandmother, so I wanted to have a custom ring made with them. Nick, the owner, made a strong effort to listen to what I wanted, and he checked with me at various points along the way to make sure I was happy with everything. Not only did he find a way to bring the price down by finding a lovely pre-made setting, he and their jeweler, Chris, completed the ring very fast! They also allowed me to trade in some other jewelry and offered an excellent price, which made my beautiful custom ring so affordable. And, they resized my engagement ring again, while I waited in the store, because it was still slightly too big. Everyone went above and beyond to help me, and I so appreciate it. My fiance and I will definitely be back!

Normans Jewelry and Loan,is a very good Loan service and Fix and Modify Jewelry very good i had a pendant that i purchase from a Jewelry and my chain could not Fit through it and they change the loop,on end of chain not Clamp,so i can put pendant on and off,and i had i Diamond Watch that i brought from a jewelry in line,and it was to big,and they took a couple Links out,and it was very nice Fit,for $15 bucks.
