I spoke with Monique and Maggie and they were so extremely pleasant to deal with and cared a lot about making sure I could make the best financial decision possible along with answering several questions giving me the best information possible. Spoke with Maria she helped me payoff a loan. I like this company alot. They are very professional. One thing I like is the convenience they give you different options in doing business. Whatever works best for the customer. Also you can understand them very well there not fast talking or in a hurry to get you off the phone. I'd give a zero star rating if that were allowed. I have a small loan through CFCU, the loan was great with a great rate. But do not expect ANY service here. My account is ALWAYS locked for "inactivity" so I cannot look at my balance with out calling them to unlock my account to which I have to wait HOURS on hold to speak with anyone. Only for them to reset my account. Absolutely poor online and physical help. They earned this 1 star.

Do not bank here, they don’t really treat you like a member. The young man teller was very kind, but not Teresa. She refused to wave a simple $10 fee so I could close my account! It’s my money and I was never overdrawn or anything! I just wanted my money back, and to close the account, that’s it! I know she could have waved the fee because the tellers called and asked her, but she refused for no reason! Even big banks will wave little fees for for you! This is not how you should treat members.

I am very happy to say that I have been a valid member with CFCU for 29 years. I became a member in 1994. After living in Pontiac Mi for several years back to Tenn. in 2009. I am still a member as of this day & must say that their customer service reps is caring, understanding to ones needs during hardship times is outstanding. They are very proffesional & knowledgeble when it comes assisting their members issues. Advanced Technology has made it very accessible to cater & to utilize it to address their members need.

I have been with Chief Financial since 1998. I have stayed that long because they were the one helped me finance my very first car in the United States. Staff are extraordinary warm and very helpful. They are very good with alerts when they find something suspicious, they care about their clients like their own family. As the technology improved years gone by made banking easier with them, always available to answer your questions and help you in so many ways. The staffs go above and beyond to make their clients happy like me. I will forever be grateful with Chief Financial Credit Union with their excellent customer service, and will definitely recommend them. Thank you Chief!!!

Not happy with the service being provided here anymore as of today, so Im changing my five star rating. Ive had issues before but nothing like this. If you cancel an ACH payment theyll tell you youre all set then take the funds out of your account anyway and tell you theres nothing they can do for you.. I will be taking my business elsewhere very soon due to the incompetent nature of their accounting team.

I sent a message asking that my acct not be overdrawn while i looked into some duplicate charges i didn t authorize. They locked my debit card without my permission. When I asked for a manager they gave me a very rude Lead whatever that is. She was extremely rude even laughing at me while i was clearly crying and upset because i didn t ask for a lock on my account and was now unable to use my card. I got with the company that had triple charged me and took care of it with them. So i called the bank to let them know. The lady refused to give me her name, mocked me and offered no solution just laughs and telling me she wasn t going to help me. Told me her manager was in meetings till 7. I am so disgusted i have been with this bank for years and the customer service had become very cold and disappointing. I d stay away from Chief Financial far far away.

Didnt send us any paperwork so we could make payments. Been over a month & I had to let them know that we have no account # or info. On where to send payments for a vehicle we recently purchased.

I processed a skip a pay with Cheif financial and the first time I completed it they said they never received it when I received confirmation on my end showing showing it was completed so they sent the forms again and told me not to make the payment since I had before. Then AGAIN they tell me they did not receive my documents and today I spoke to one of the reps and I told her I did this twice already and when we confirmed that the payment I thought that went to chief was something else I told her to send the documents again and I will pay the fee and she responds there s no again you never paid it and repeated herself when all I said was send the documents AGAIN and I will PAY the fee. She was very rude and there was no accountability on their end and no apologies for their lack of upkeep. I m actually super disappointed in this service I ve never had a bad experience until now. This rep was rude argumentative and talked over me when I was speaking. I literally had to yell that I m still speaking to get her to stop. This was gross and disappointing

Very poor loan service. Holding a lien for a week after its paid off just to be difficult. I was never late with a payment but get treated terrible for paying a loan off early.

This credit union was amazing to go through for my auto refinance! Such a quick and easy process and super friendly!! I already had a motorcycle financed through them and they called to update my info and told me I could save money... everything was done within a couple days and I never had to leave me house.

Chief Financial CU, with a special shout out to Allie at the Rochester Branch, has been awesome to work with. Recently Allie reached out to me to let me know Chief Financial CU could possibly save me money by refinancing a couple of loans I had other financial institutions, without extending the term of the loans and at a lower interest rate. I gave CFCU approval to pull my credit and prepare an offer, and Im so glad I did. Allie was awesome to work with. 24 hours after her initial call I closed on refinancing the loans, all electronically. Allie definitely delivered. She, and her team at CFCU, reduced my monthly spend on the refinanced loans by hundreds of dollars. Thank You so much Allie and CFCU. Everyone I have spoken with is friendly and helpful. This fact does not exclude them for their utterly trash policies pertaining to Lein releases when a vehicle is payed off. I had a cashiers check sent to Chief to pay off my auto and they are holding the lein for 7 days. The Check itself has already cleared and there is no reason for them to hold the title other than stubbornness. Will never be using this credit union again and am promptly closing my accounts. Ive had more fun at a urologist appointment.

I cannot come up with the words to describe the dynamic duo of Nadia & Sherie!!! If youre looking for a team that will treat everyone as if they are priority these are the ladies for you. The best customer service you will ever get in the industry. Both Sherie and Nadia take time out to educate the client and the realtor they are working with. I closed Both a conventional loan and refi transactions with no problems. They will work through any situation to see the client to the closing table. Nadia Lutchman jumped right on it and guided me through this process as if it was her own! Chief Financial has been awesome. I have purchased a Harley through them, NO ISSUES. I have also recently taken out a home equity loan, again, NO ISSUES. Dina Viviano has been great. I have another Credit Union I deal with which has been great as well, but I think I am leaning more toward Chief simply because of ease dealing with them.

My husband and I have been working with Nadia in their real estate lending department for over a year now. We have been wanting to buy a home and our credit needed work. Nadia was great in helping us get to where we are now approved. She laid out all the steps we needed to get to where we are now. Nadia held our hands and walked us through the whole process and has been extremely patient with us. Now, we have our approval letter and currently searching for that perfect home. I truly believe, without her, we would still be in our same situation and stuck in our rental forever! I cant wait to find a home. It has been so painless and easy to understand everything. Nadia Luchtman refinanced my home loan this month and did an exceptional job. She not only found us the best rates, but was very honest and explained things every step of the way. She was not pushy like some mortgage people I dealt with before selecting her for our refinance. She kept to her word and was there to explain everything along the way. I know nothing about this business and she made me feel comfortable the entire time. If she was busy, her assistant Lana was very attentive to make sure our every need was met. It is hard to know who is honest and fair when refinancing because there are so many choices out there, but I can assure you that Nadia is very honest and fair AND will find you the best rates available! She is great....can t say enough good things! We now have a refinanced mortgage at a great rate and a great monthly payment! Thank you :)

I called to inquire about the credit union to determine if I want to move my account from my current institution. I am not sure if I will make the move but I can assure you if I do it will be because of the professionalism and the courteous manner in which I was treated. Im not a member of this credit union. I work for Conrail and I was surching online for a good institution to apply for a loan to help my grandchildrens mother. As I read the reviews for this credit union I became super impressed with the way the owner takes his/her time to respond to each review. Where theres good leadership, goodness in employees follow! I have been with Chief Financial since 1998. I have stayed that long because they were the one helped me finance my very first car in the United States. Staff are extraordinary warm and very helpful. They are very good with alerts when they find something suspicious, they care about their clients like their own family. As the technology improved years gone by made banking easier with them, always available to answer your questions and help you in so many ways. The staffs go above and beyond to make their clients happy like me. I will forever be grateful with Chief Financial Credit Union with their excellent customer service, and will definitely recommend them. Thank you Chief!!!

I have enjoyed being a member for a number of years, however, the elimination of the Saturday hours and the $5.00 fee for statements has been problematic. When everyone got paper statements they were free. Now that fewer people are getting them, they suddenly need to charge? With big online companies from Sony to Home Depot getting hacked and viruses like Heartbleed existing, I do not trust online banking. If those things were returned the place would be great. Edit: Thanks for addressing my concerns! The staff continues to be great and youre one of the best places to do business with around! Love the Leader Dogs for the Blind debit cards. <3

Dina was very friendly and knowledgeable in helping me set up my account at Chief. She answered all of my questions and made the set up very easy and smooth. The inside of the credit union is very nice and inviting. Would recommend to anyone looking for a new account or lending institution.

Every time I go into this place, Im treated like a friend. Ive financed two loans through these guys and they were super accommodating through both occasions. Most recently I worked with Allie and she exceeded any expectation I had with the way she handled my needs as well as her understanding with my busy schedule. We were able to communicate face to face but also via phone and email which really helped me...she worked with me how I needed to be worked with in order to ensure I got the car I wanted. Excellent Service from Dina & Amy. Super easy experience taking care of my new car loan. It was all handled over the internet, I never even had to step foot in the actual credit union. One more thing, their rates were the lowest I could find for Car/Boat loans. You really cant ask for more then that these days!

I was looking for a credit union close by my home (Rochester Hills). Chief Financial and their staff have been fantastic and very customer friendly! From the day I walked in, I have had nothing but great service. Any questions I had were answered promptly. Allie has been the most friendly and attentive person anyone could ask for. Customer service by far is excellent! This was the best decision I have made and I would recommend this credit union to anyone.

Absolutely love this location. Every worker I came in contact with went out of their way to ensure I was able to get everything I needed. I am a full time college student and was in desperate need of a car loan. Dina went out of her way to help me out. I dont have many hard credit inquiries on my credit score, so there was a low chance of me being able to get approved for getting the loan on my own, I needed a cosigner. Not only was Dina able to work it out where I didnt need a cosigner, but she was able to get me approved for more than I originally needed. Im currently a student over at Rochester College, and Im grateful for our partnership with Chief Financial. I highly recommend going to them for not only loans but even to start a checking or savings account. Beyond grateful for how helpful and kind everyone was!

Local banking is defined by personalized service. I opened a savings account for my daughter. It was a simple process working with Dina, and you cant beat savings account that pays about 2%!

I LOVE Chief Financial Credit Union. Every time I go there, I leave with a smile on my face. All of the staff members are really friendly and helpful. Cheryl always makes sure that I feel right at home and they are a partner that is dedicated to making the world a better place. They are so committed to their partners and their members; and when you bank there, you just know youre a part of something bigger than yourself. They also have great account options so you can get the financial rewards of big banking, but the customer service and community partnership that only comes from banking with a credit union. Chief Financial was very helpful with transferring loans and payments. They worked with me on very short notice and was able to make it happen with both parties not being available to stop in at the same time. Dina did a great job handling the paperwork and explaining the process and documents as we worked together. Im very thankful for the speed and how easy Dina was able to get me approved and signed off.
