This credit union has gone above and beyond to help me make ends meet at the end of the month. They have gone to bat for me like I am family and made it feel like it was no burden on their side. On top of all of that they for gave me for when I had an account in the past that had been in the - past 45 days when I told them of the conditions of why I had been that way when I lost my job. They had understood that I had had a bad run of luck and look at my past couple years, working with a ELGA and knew that paid my debts and will continue to do so forward. I am truly appreciate of of this company. And will continue to use it for my banking needs and advise all others to do so.

Predatorial loan practices they love doing work with places like Hank Graff and showcase that has a terrible history of selling people lemon cars when them people are already trying to make ends meet was basically forced to agree to gap insurance and a wheel protection or be denied for a loan in order to get a vehicle to maintain a job. long story short I ended up putting more money into the truck in 4 years than I paid for the truck was charged a additional 2500 for gap and wheel protection that no companies wanted to work with or honor. payed about 7500 for a $5,000 truck to be told that I owe an additional $3,500 on top of the damages from their tow guy backing into my fence multiple times

Elga did a great job opening an account for me and the app makes it easy to check my balance. However I will always prioritize keeping money somewhere safe in cash, like a safe. Not a bank that could fall through at any given time.

New members should beware that you will definitely be judged. I had interactions with 2 employees. 1 was extremely helpful/courteous and the other not so much. I am not the only person who has had a negative experience with this particular branch from what I understand. My persistence is the only thing keeping me from going right across the street to Security Federal Credit Union on Center Road in Flint, MI.

Unprofessional Customer Service. Representatives in the lending department do not listen to their customers. When you tell them four times to not run a credit check, cancel my request, they say they will not run the credit check and then a day later, they did not listen and disregarded my request and ran the credit check anyway. Therefore lowering my credit score needlessly. Do not use their services. They do not listen to their customers needs.

They get 2 stars for not having enough staff to serve customers. The place is overcrowded at all times of the day and I wouldnt be surprised if they are often beyond capacity, creating a fire hazard. Avoid if you dont like crowds and value your personal space and waiting. Otherwise it would get a 3 or 4 star rating if they can fix that.

Not real impressed, guy goes 56 days delinquent in 5 or so yrs now they call minutes after grace period is up. Cant wait to have enough time on job. Then Ill refinance elsewhere. They bout to hear a side of me they dont like, I know Im not only one minutes past my grace, probably only one already called. I may even just see my attorney ey. If purchasing and have other options I suggest using one of them

Wow tried opening a new account with this credit union. The teller was rude, gave me the feeling that they were doing me a favor?! Lol so definitely not starting my direct deposits here! Every account I ve ever had with ELGA was a mistake. They are predatory and take money anyway they can swindle you into. You d be better off at a bank. At least my current bank returns money that was inappropriately taken. If I could give my car back and get out of this loan I would.
