We went to this establishment and spoke to a man who gave us a price. My boyfriend wanted to get a second opinion before taking the deal so we went somewhere else to make sure the price was accurate. When we came back they gave us a lower price. I feel that they tried to get over on the items and didn’t give us near the amount that the jewelry was for. We tried to negotiate back to the first price and another person was not trying to give the price we first got. Bad for business. These jewelers just want to Nickle and dime you for their own pocket. Beware.

Great place with superb customer service. If you are looking at jewelry, definitely speak to Roy. He goes above and beyond. Their prices are very agreeable, and their selection is some of the best I have seen. Whenever I am in Boston, I make it a point to swing by. Keep it up.

The person who was behind the counter was rude and looked at my ring for less than a minute before declaring that the only money they'd give was $50 on a ring bought less than 5 years ago for more the $2000. He didn't seem to care about my patronage and when I asked about a trade in value he rudely informed me that they do not have a trade in for anything not purchased at that location (as if I should have psychically known). I would have walked out today with a ring for over $1000 if not for this bow tied employee, but seeing how he treated me I could not bring myself to buy a ring that they likely marked up 1000% after being rude to someone who may have truly needed that money.

I have to disagree with the previous posts. I've been a customer at Suffolk Jewelers for about 7yrs. Every time i step foot in the pawn shop i always get greeted as soon as i walk in. Is a great feeling to walk in to a place and be treated with respect. The customer service is incredible, because everybody that works at Suffolk enjoys making sure their customer get the help they need. I remember when there was a time i thought i lost my jewelry because i was over the maturity date. I went to Suffolk to get information on my items. I was scared that they got foreclosed on because i hadn't paid in 4 months. The gentleman that helped me made my day! He told me I still had a 2 month grace period before they make any decisions about my items. That's when i realized that Suffolk does work with their customers. There are others places that would have foreclosed on my items without any remorse. Since that day i never looked to conduct any business at another pawn shop again. I get treated with the respect i deserve at Suffolk.

Went there to pawn my jewelry which was already pawn there before and a guy name Robert came to the counter and asked if I had receipts for any of the items or if I had brought it from there. Then informed me that he would have to pass because it s high end jewelry. Discrimination at its finest. Bring your items or buy jewelry from any where else but them.

This place will rip you off. I thought I would try here instead of having to travel a bit further and was offered a miniscule amount for gold. Empire gave me 3x the amount Suffolk offered. Go someplace else!

This establishment is unprofessional. Online hours say 9-6pm Monday - Saturday. When I arrived at 5:05 the store is close. If you re gonna run an establishment please make sure the time is updated on Google before making the effort of changing it in person. It s 2023 way to grown to be misleading people. Sincerely- genz

Ive gone here for a long time last time I put some jewelry yes it took a while to get out but looks like they switched one of my items to something similar once I find the picture of the item I will go back and there might be a problem if the picture does not resemble the item I left in there possession. They are very suspect and just lost a customer if this is in fact the case. But will follow up once I find the picture.

I was visiting relatives last week in Boston and I always like to visit local pawnshops. When I walked into Suffolk I could not believe the amount of inventory displayed. I was able to find a pre-owned Cartier watch at a great price. The salesman was very knowledgeable and helpful. I would recommend the shop to anyone!

I recently recovered a stolen musical instrument from suffolk jewelers and pawnbroker. The serial number on my instrument was clearly marked on the instrument but the shop did not report this information on their internal paperwork or on the paperwork to the Boston police. I was only reunited with my musical instrument after receiving a response to a stolen instrument classified post by someone who saw the instrument and did some research on the serial number. While Im sure some people have had good experiences with this shop, I believe their internal practices favor the dealing in stolen goods. Beware and please do research if you believe something has been stolen.

The owner is not so pleasant. Along with nerdy blonde goofball with glasses who seems to have something up his Butt (literally)! The rest are sweethearts to me and tend to give above the $$$ limits because they know certain individuals are good for paying it all off. They also go above and beyond to brighten up ones day.. . Happy Christmas Eve!!!

I left there with my mouth open on how rude and dishonest they were to me. They tried to rip me off. The guy told me my ring was only 10carots but it says 18 carots. He tried to tell me it said 10..this ring has been in the family 50 years. What a jerk he was so rude and unprofessional and shady how he didnt want to talk about the ring in front of me...I have never been treated like that in any business ever!!!!!!! I will be filing a complaint with the BBB they tried to rip me off!!!!! Go to the Jewelry district and get what you deserve for your possesions. They offered me 300$ I got 700$ I swear what jerks DO NOT GO THERE!
