This branch allowed an IRS refund check to be fraudulently endorsed when no security measures were taken and it was never flagged as fraud or suspicious. I would not trust this institutions security measures to protect your money. I would give this branch 0 stars if I could.

06/21/2024- Skip the wall up, skip the lines, now using mobile app for my business . I gave up on trying to make deposits at the walk up outside. Generally, the line outside for the walk up teller machines are long! Inside lines are even longer! Staff is nice. Security on patrol is scary!

I went yesterday to deposit $1350 in cash and the teller said it was $1200 I ask her if it could recounted she didn t hand recounted she it was put into the money machine and she left to go in the back came back then left again. Came back with a sheet saying this is what was counted in the machine. That was money from a funeral. SMDH.

This is my second attempt to make a deposit at the drive through. Friday the drive through line was stretched into the parking lot and simply not moving! On Saturday. Again there is Only 1 lane open. Thus far I have been waiting in line since 12:45 and have yet to get to the tube mechanism. This is truly a customer service issue that needs to be addressed!

Often times the lines are long and there may be one or two tellers working. At times the wait for office transactions are exorbitant, anywhere from 30 to 1 hour. When you look around there may be personnel sitting in an empty office or at the counters not attending to anyone.

Definitely not your standard NFCU customer service but I also just moved to md from va. The parking lot was hectic and difficult to navigate. There was no one at the front to greet people and the tellers seemed to be more focused on chatting with each other than engaging customers. Thinking this may be a fluke but looking at other reviews, it may be time for management to address some common areas of concern at this location. Hope to see improvements.

It appears any check deposits at this branch are automatically placed on a 5 business day hold so you only receive credit of up to $225 and the remainder of funds are released 6 or more days later - any Federal holidays makes it even longer. It doesnt appear to matter which bank the check is written against or the vendor. Im not sure why the security team at this location likes to place checks on extended hold. Are they genuine security concerns or a work management issue?

Worst costumer service in banking. Every time I come into this certain bank I get treated like trash. They dont know how to talk to people what so ever. The assistant GM is the worst manager I have ever delt with. She went to the point to calling me names in get office. She wouldnt look me in the eye and answer questions. My banking days with this bank are numbered. I belive the assistant GMs name was Doslin or something like that. She wouldnt give me her name Candy is the best employee in the branch. I arrived to the bank at 10 they open at 9 it wasn t anyone else sitting in the waiting area I can see 2 of the representatives laughing and talking while I am waiting I pay it no mind think they can t possibly be the person waiting to help me but it was after 15 minutes of being the only person waiting and being visibly annoyed she then calls me I usually avoid this one because they always move so slow but I was in a rush but I can assure you I do not care what is going on I will not be back.

I am leaving this review because I ve been in the drive thru for an hour. Each car literally waits to be serviced at least 20 minutes each and once you get in line you can t leave because the way the location is set up you are pretty much stuck once you get in line and the parking lot is so full as well so it s obvious they move slow inside as well. I will never come back here. I ve been to banks that move much faster and still thoroughly do their job.

The worst service ever I was just there I called in advance to make things run smooth when I got there I went to the front help desk she was so helpful then when I got to the bank cashier she was all over the place she took 15 minutes just to give me my change. Then she informed me that I would have to get back in line to have to see someone else to fix my problem which was so sad that I would have to go through another waiting process all this just to reopen my account. It reminded me way I let this account close the service is poor. So then I went back to the help desk to ask her what should I do because I didn t want to wait anymore because I had my kids with me my baby which is 13 months and cannot wear a mask she then informed me to call the number on the card she gave me and I did. When I called the number they informed me that they couldn t help me because the birthdate on file was different then the one I was telling them. So this means when I open my account alone time ago the agent at the bank put the wrong birthdate in the system all these mistakes. At this point I don t even want a bank account with that bank anymore. I went with Bank of America they always treated me good.

I frequent this Navy Federal often and there s always something, but today was my breaking point. After sitting in the drive-through line for over 15 minutes- I got to the front to be told that I could not receive coins, I need to go inside that s fine I asked to receive the bills that I requested and was told no (don t really understand the story behind that but OK). So I inform her that I am on crutches and ask if someone could meet me at the front because I don t want to be denied- she tells me no so I ask for just the bills and no coins so I can at least have that, she tells me no again. I park my car and I hop to the door and I m told that I can t come inside [when she just told me to come inside] I let them know that she just told me from the drive-through that I sat in for 15 minutes to come inside and security says well I can t let you inside . Luckily, Jason addressed my concern and went and confirmed the story with her came back took my needed docs and got what I needed. I m overall done with this Navy Federal, the customer service is usually trash and overall bad customer service can ruin any business.

I will gladly drive an extra 30 minutes to Virginia to get the service I deserve. I also didn t receive any type of initiative to solve the problem just get another document and try again .

I want to send out a thank you to the staff member at Navy federal. I m unsure of her name but she was so helpful with me today. I was in line trying to make a deposit and it was a long line but as I finally make it to the front I start to get very lightheaded, dizzy, and about to pass out. I m currently 5 months pregnant working into my 6 month, so that s probably what caused it and the lady there was so kind and understanding. She really wanted to make sure I was okay, gave me some water and contact someone to come get me. Thank God my husband was close by. Drive through teller closed without telling anyone. I entered the line 20 min before close and expected to at least be notified if I couldnt be helped. This branch is not what I am use to from Navy Federal now the guard was amazing very helpful and professional. The staff was rude, I saw two handicap people (walkers and wheelchairs) standing waiting in line no one helped or suggested they go first. Then when customers asked can the handicap go first the lady at the front said its yall business not her problem. VERY UNACCEPTABLE!!! AGAIN SECURITY WAS GREAT!!!!!

Kenny was the young man who assisted my daughter with opening a new checking/saving account today. He was very friendly professional and thorough in explaining everything to her. Gave us tips on ways to make specific transactions easier too. Had us in and out. I came in to make a deposit this morning 10/24/19 Kyle was the teller I went to unfortunately, because his customer was terrible, he looked mad, he acted as though he had an attitude and he was very rude. He handed me my receipt I kindly said thank you and he just looked at me and ignored me. Some one with a mannerism such as Kyle Should never work in customer service. I work in customer services, I know sometimes people may not be having the best day but he needs to learn how to separate the two. And not take whatever ever he has on his mind out on customers. That s giving him the benefit of the doubt because that might just be his permanent personality, that s how well he played the roll of acting like he didn t want to be at work.

This branch will waste even more if your time than the other locations Dow it s standing in the line.... I visit Ted this branch to replace a debit card, the teller informs me that at this particular branch they don t provide you with your card at the teller, you have to be out in a que and wait for the card. I was informed the wait would be anywhere from 15-30 mins. Crazy thing is there are ZERO branch locations in my area that are no MILITARY and after driving to two additional Locations and being told I had no access. I m sure you could imagine how annoyed I was. This is not the branch to visit for quick service, if you have nothing better to do with your time than sit in the waiting area, then come here. NEVER AGAIN

This is my first time here at this location & instead of receiving exceptional service it was below average. I went to pay a bill on my over draft protection debit Visa card instead I sat down at a desk with danielle only to be talked to with attitude & rudeness. She incorrectly told me my debit card was closed & their was nothing else she could do for me. We went back & forth in an argument over it and the whole time nothing but attitude and rudeness towards me she should not work in an environment where she has to work with people if she does not know how to treat people. She does not have customer service skills. She definitely put an impact on me to the point I never want to come back. You do not quarrel or have an attitude with your client. The customer should be your first priority & it was not. Long story short I asked for a supervisor who informed me my debit card was NOT closed like danielle falsely claimed to be. The manager spoke with me 1 on 1 & apologized about the situation but this should not have happened in the first place. I appreciate the supervisors for trying to make things right but I dont think Ill be going to this location ever again

The only unfortunate complaint is the lines are ALWAYS long. However, on some days they moved swiftly but on the norm it s a wait... So, maybe make the banks larger and hire more teller?!?! Also, at times I ve not been able to deposit money and I understand banks have a down time when the banks are closed however MY suggestion is; there should be a schedule of when this will occur that is sent to members indicating these times so many of us won t waste our time traveling to multiple banks and still unable to successfully complete ANY transaction. But on a greater note... From Virginia to MD, ALL reps have excellent customer service.

I just switched to Navy Federal. This was my first experience in a branch and I have never experienced wait times like this. I just needed a card printed and was immediately put into an express line. I was fourth on the list, but numerous people were called ahead of me. After thirty minutes, I thought Id ask how the express line works and the womans answer was very vague. Go to a different branch unless you want to wait a long time for service.

They told me to go to the drive thru to get a replacement card then once I finally reached the front of the line after a hour they told me to come inside where there close in 5 minutes. This branch is not equipped to handle the number of consumers that it receives. I have been in here various days of the week and different times of day; and it never fails the line is out the door. I love NFCU but this branch is the WORSE navy federal I have ever been too. It is unorganized and just unprofessional over all. Unless you have hours to waste on simple task please run to the next Navy Federal.

If you have time to go to another location please do. I was there on may 12th at 3:30 and the lady in at the front desk is the worst person they can have at the front desk. Her attitude sucks. service is really slow in every department. None of the employees seem like they wanna be there.

NFCU is an awesome branch but the Mortgage & Auto loan rates went down & for the main reason is because most people who are with NFCU never was in the Military. People who has access number can get anybody in & they see that, so now people are not getting the good rates that they once was. Also Capitol Heights NFCU is long 24/7, you can go at 4am in the morning & its still a long line outside smh. Then you have dirty boys in line smelling like weed & PCP but overall NFCU is the best

The only thing they need to do with put some organize lines on the ATMs outside, 1 because it is a very bad parking lot and to get the atm and not the teller is hard. I cannot get into the line properly without hitting the curb. Also it would help cause the other vehicles do not know how to properly form a line.

It is very convenient to where I live, but the drive through lines are terrible. You can not access the drive through ATM if there are lines at the drive through teller. Also, the inside is always crowded with people just standing around. IT IS TOO SMALL FOR THE AMOUNT OF CUSTOMERS RECEIVING SERVICE.

From a customer service point of view the service is good. Could be better if they find some professional people to work at the front desk. The location is very good. It is easy to get to and you dont have to worry about getting robbed in the parking lot. Now for some reason or another they built this place far to small for the volume of people they serve. Every time I have visited the wait is around 35 to 50 min. That is a very long time just to deposit some money.

Mortgages and loans are not competitive with other lenders. I have been a member for 15 yrs. They deceive young veterans by advertising themselves as a credit union. A true credit union is truly none profit unlike navy federal. There are a lot of Better Buisness Bureau complaints about there dishonest and predatory leanding practices.
