I brought a ring here to be resized because they have one of the fastest turnaround times in the area and reasonable pricing. There was an issue with the first resizing attempt (due to some ambiguity over the metal type, which was not their fault) and the solder joint ended up a slightly different color than the rest of the ring. When I brought up my concern, they handled everything perfectly in making it right. They took it back and redid it with a different metal that matches exactly and they had it ready for me the next day. Their jeweler Dustin does excellent work (thank you!) and they have top-notch customer service. Highly recommend Day's for jewelry service.

Had a wonderful experience today at the store in South Portland. Angelina and Michael were nothing less than amazing. Our 35th anniversary and no idea what my wife wanted. They went over-and-above showing her everything that she had interest in and fully explained every detail. We purchased a beautiful bracelet that my wife absolutely loves. My partner and I went in looking for a specific type of gold cross and chain to replace one of sentimental value. Thankfully we were greeted by Kristen, who was so genuinely friendly and helpful. We had a budget and certain requirements, and she went above and beyond making it work for us. I've used Day's Jewelers a couple of times prior and had good experiences but our visit with Kristen emphasized why they are our go-to for service, selection and price.

I recently ordered a citizen's watch. I've been looking for this particular watch for some time. I had one, loved it, wore it for years. Not repairable. Then I saw it at Day's.
I ordered! Response, delivery, purchase updates 5 star. I am so happy I found it!!!
The packaging was all about securing my purchase. And that they did. They even set my watch. Out of the package right on time. Alot of retailers/companies taut customer service. This jeweler backs it with action. Do you know how refreshing , rare, honest that is??? Clearly you have a staff of employees who believe in what they do & do it very well. I appreciate you all. Long overdue review, but in 2021 Callie at Day's jewelers helped me make a custom wedding band for my low-set oval engagement ring. I was having trouble finding something that fit around my engagement ring and Callie understood what I was looking for even when I was having difficulty describing it. She found a picture of an engagement/wedding ring combo that was exactly what I wanted and she got a jeweler to custom make my ring in a short amount of time before my wedding. I get so many complements on the ring duo and I love it so much. Thank you Day's!

I'm very impressed with the way Days worked with me when I came to them with concerns about my engagement ring. My ring required repairs every 1-2 months in the time that I had it which was very frustrating. Kristin worked with me to pick out a new band to set my center stone on so this wouldn't happen again! I am so excited to wear my new and improved ring and very grateful for their understanding and assistance!

Excellent customer service!!! I finally had the time to get my palladium wedding rings resized and could not be happier with the outcome! When my fiancé went to pick out and engagement ring and didn t see one that fit his vision, Callie was there to help him design one! She withstood his hundreds of questions, and was patient with him throughout the process. Fast forward to now - when it was time to pick out a wedding band for my fiancé, we brought in a family ring that we wanted to incorporate into his band. I purchased a ring for my wife a month before Christmas that had to be special ordered due to it having my daughters birthstones. I was unsure about the ring and the setting and hesitant to purchase it but the assistant manager, Kristin, who was helping me said that it could be returned if she did not like it. I went ahead and asked for the three stones to be in a certain order and reiterated 3 or 4 times the order as the manager seemed to not be sure which birth stones was which month. I paid the just under $600 and left. Two weeks later looked at the receipt to double check when it may be completed. Upon checking the receipt I noticed that the stones were getting set in the wrong order. I called and it was too late to switch them, which is understandable, but frustrating as I had said the order I wanted multiple times. They told me that it could be sent in to have them reset but it wouldnt arrive for Christmas. I didnt want to do this as it was a Christmas present so I picked up the ring when it was ready and went on with the holiday. When I gave it to my wife she said that she had found a different ring with the birthstones that she liked. No problem, I thought, as the assistant manager had said it was refundable. I called the store to check that it could be returned as I live an hour and a half away, I was told it could not be returned but they could reset the stones for me. Very unhappy as my wife found a different ring that she liked and I spent so much on a ring that I couldnt return even though I was told otherwise, I agreed to just do that. At the same time of that call they actually asked me if I had picked up the ring at all. There were clearly issues with communication and in store handling of the process. When I brought the ring back in to the store, my wife had decided we would just have it resized and not send it off again for stone placement. There wasnt a point as I planned to just buy the other ring from a different store. I told the clerk what had happened and the assistant manager happened to be standing there and refused to admit that she had made mistakes. She said she would not have told me that in a rude tone and said that I was the one who made the mistakes. When I told her that I just want the ring resized and that they would not see me back all she replied was a snarky thats fine. I will not be going back to this, nor any other days jewelers and I hope that they dont train their employees to be as rude, unknowledgeable, and show such poor customer service as the assistant manager Kristin displayed. I would not recommend them to anyone and wont be back, but clearly they dont care about the business. I have made a few purchases from Days for my wife before and never been treated and falsely led as I was this occasion. It bothers me every time I think about the experience or drive by a Days.

I dont wear jewelry as a rule, so Im not a frequent shopper at Days. I only go in occasionally to get a watch battery replaced. Everyone employed there cheerfully acknowledged me. One even suggested I could have a bottle of water or soda while I waited. I work retail myself - these folks have it down to a science! Maybe I reminded the very nice employee at the back of her grandmother or something, but she didnt charge me for this last replacement. I wasnt having a great day, but this actually ended it on a positive note. Thanks.

if you dont buy your jewelry from there and go get your ring cleaned they will be sure to break one of the prongs holding the diamond in so they can get money out of you

I had the most pleasant experience at Day s Jewelers and I would highly recommend them to anyone that is looking to get a high quality selection for an honest price. When I entered the store, I was greeted by Michael. Michael was excellent and made the whole shopping experience a great pleasure! I ended up going with the 1/2 karat diamond ring that I proposed with to my now fiancée. After I gave her the ring, it was a little big so we brought it in to get re-sized. No problem! Day s Jewelers took care of it. After we did that, we found out that the ring was still a little loose, spinning on my fiancée s finger when she typed on the computer at work. Again, no problem! We brought it in and they put some speed bumps on the inside of the ring so that it would stop spinning. Problem solved. Overall it was a joyful experience in selecting a diamond for my now fiancée. On behalf of my fiancée and I, we sincerely thank Michael and all those at Day s Jewelers for such an easy process! I highly recommend Day s Jewelers!

David was patient, knowledgeable, and extremely friendly! I felt like a close friend was helping me make the important decision. I had a great experience with the staff when I went in to purchase a ring. I went on with 7 rings I wanted to see, and there were 3 people helping to find everything I wanted- Unfortunately, I only caught 2 names, but David Cooper and Michael Skinner tracked down everything I was looking for. They were all very friendly and helpful, and I would recommend visiting Day s in South Portland when you re looking for fine jewelry. Also, David gave me 2 extra cookies when he learned I had 2 kids, so I could enjoy mine (I m keeping the cookies for myself)

The entire staff is gold! The manager Leo does a superb job! I bought my engagement ring for my Wife there, our wedding rings, and have been buying jewelry for my family there for the last 20 years. They are patient, and they care about you and your family. They operate like a family business and allow you plenty of time to think about and make your purchase. They have a great variety of gems, and all different kinds of stylish stones , either for earrings or necklaces. They have a great selection of men s watches too! Weather you are buying for your Wife, kids or even yourself. Days in South Portland by Hannaford is a definite recommendation ! My fiancé and I had an excellent experience getting our wedding bands at Day s Jewelers in South Portland today! David Cooper went above and beyond to make sure we were getting the rings we wanted to wear for the rest of our lives! Despite how busy it was due to the wedding band expo, David took the time to make sure we were taken care of and our needs were met! I kept apologizing for being indecisive/difficult, and he kept reassuring me that I had every right to take my time and make sure I completely loved the band I got! I purchased a Citizens watch while on vacation in the Caribbean a couple of years ago. One of the pins fell out of the band so I brought it to Day s for repair. They called me a couple of days later and said it was done. When I went to pay, they told me there was no charge. I will certainly be back for my next purchase!

A very professional and courteous jewelry store. I had dropped a watch of for repair years ago and was reminded of it when I came in to drop a different one off. Long and the rest of the staff were very helpful in bringing the old watch to my attention even with a new address on file. The best part was them keeping my old watch safe without discarding it for 5 years despite my forgetfulness! I was stunned and will only ever deal with them going forward for all my jewelry business

I looked at a few different places, including online, and days had the best selection for what I was looking for. Hailee was extremely helpful picking out settings and diamonds, and was able to offer a wide range of both to fit both budget and style. The jewelers were able to set the diamond for me within 24hrs, and next thing I knew, I was proposing within two days of purchasing. Im surprising my wife of 50 years with a special family ring and was assisted by Julie. She helped me by explaining the types of stones, their colors, and showed me photos of how the ring might look. We re-arranged the birthstones to get the look I was seeking. I have received the ring and its absolutely gorgeous, Im sure my wife will love it. The team at Days was absolutely incredible when it came to buying my fiancé s engagement ring! They went beyond the ring and really took the time to learn about our relationship and how they could help to make the proposal that much better. One even offered to take time off and take pictures of need be. The team seemed eager to find the perfect ring for me and did not pressure me towards anything in the slightest bit. Being as nervous and lost as I was, they made me feel very comfortable in choosing the perfect ring. Days offers great customer service and a friendly staff to make your experience easy and relaxed. Although most of my numerous experiences have been great, my most recent was sub par. I was in to buy a watch; which by the way this was my 2nd attempt to make said purchase (1st attempt resulted in absolutely no attention by anyone to acknowledge my presence). On this 2nd go around, the lady was nice enough, but didnt seem as well versed in her attempt to answer all of my questions. The good news with that is her effort to get some of the answers. My major disappointment with this visit was the apparent need for me to prod her to make a phone call to the watch manufacturer about a replacement band. I truly had to prod & suggest her to call them to get a definitive answer to my question(s). A customer should not have to make that much effort to get the salesperson to make such a simple effort. At any rate, the follow up worked out okay and my subsequent visit to get my replacement band had a hiccup, but the people handling that were awesome. I used to feel extremely confident in recommending this location to others, but unfortunately I am now hesitant.

I brought my engagement ring in to get it resized. (It was purchased else where) It took 10 days and about $50. They did an amazing job! They had different ring sizes for me to try to make sure I was going to get it sized to the correct size. I went down half a size and its perfect! Everyone there was very nice and professional.

Brought my watch in for a battery because they are a reputable store. My watch was then returned to be with all the hands reading 180 degrees off. I told them they needed to fix it, so that took another week. Once that was fixed I picked it up only to find that the watch band was reinstalled incorrectly so it broke, and the watch cant withstand a shower even though it had a 200M rating. Dont take your watch here unless you want it broken.

They used to be a lot better. New necklace I bought broke under normal use and they do not warranty it sadly. There is a lot of competition out there-they used to warranty necklaces.

Imagine you are a 27 years old man, confused and stupid, knowing nothing about jewelry, yet want to get your loved one something really nice. This was my situation, and after a much needed beer (thank you, what guy doesnt need a beer while shopping) I ended up deciding on a beautiful necklace. Callie was awesome very fun and honest after showing her a few pictures of my lady she recommended what I should get and what I should stay away from for my situation, and even got the opinions of a few other coworkers to help when I couldnt decide between a few pieces. I had 2 pairs of post earnings changed from studs to a dangle using the bevel type clasp. They did an awesome job and I loved the end result. Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about up what I was looking for as well as explaining the cost and the time frame in which they would be ready to pick up.

I was looking for a pretty necklace for my sweet little neice. She is 11 years old and I wanted to find something thing that she would like as a kid and as an adult as she grew up. I found a beautiful little gold heart necklace at Days Jewelers. It was perfect. It was simple, classy, afordable, and came with a long enough chain that she can still wear the necklace for life. Picking an engagement ring alone was nerve-racking but the friendly staff at Days Jewelers made it much easier! I had never looked at jewelry before, not even for my mom, let alone engagement rings! They were good at helping me pick a ring that I thought my soon-to-be fiance would like. I was under a bit of a time constraint and needed a ring that was a different size than the ring they had in-store. I also needed the diamond to be fitted to the ring. Days Jewelers did everything they could to expedite the ring and the jeweler had my ring made for me in time! After the engagement, (she said yes!), I had another positive experience when we went back because the ring needed to be resized. I wasnt entirely sure about her ring size when I bought a ring and they had told me up front that we could have it resized one time without charge. We went to a Days Jewelers that was closer to where she lived and this store was just as friendly as the South Portland location. Resizing was a breeze and my fiance didnt have to part with the ring for too long while it was being resized. I think I had such a good experience because of the family-owned aspect of this company. They were exceptionally friendly, flexible with payment plans, timely and efficient, and excited about our engagement! Not to mention they sell beautiful rings. Im extremely grateful to Days Jewelers for the integral role they played in supplying me with a ring for the best day of my life. My fiance loves her ring and we cant wait to go back and look at wedding bands!

Hello I had recently been diagnosed as being severely allergic to honey bees, paper wasps, and yellow jackets, August 4,2014. . I had almost died in my home from being stung by yellow jackets. I am now on my second year of a five year plan of getting venom shots. And carry EPI pens. I had been to several jewelry stores in trying to find an inexpensive medical bracelets. No luck. I went to Days Jewlers, and they had them. The clerk was so helpful and very nice. I wish I could remember her name. The bracelet was under 60.00 with the engraving included in that price. Store very clean Sale persons were very polite n listen to me. It took longer to get back to me so I purchased A ring from some where else. Mall store didnt have the ring I wanted at their store. Had to call around to see which branch had one. This meant i would have to travel another 20miles round trip to actually see the ring. Oh well.

Ive had so many great experiences at Days in South Portland. Bruce helped me replace a beautiful diamond that I Had lost. I love the diamond that he found for me! Ive had several appraisals done by Cheryl and shes wonderful! The appraisals were right on and so professionally written. Going to Days in South Portland is like going to visit friends.

Amazing customer service and knowledgeable staff. We are always astounded by the watch collection and Bruces passion for the Reactor watch. Gotta love the store. Been shopping jewels all my life. My daughter was at school and put a round band from a necklace on her finger at age 12. The ring could not be removed and the school called me. I have bought jewelry and watches from Days Jewlers and I called them for advice. They said that have a special ring removal tool that could be used for my daughter. I got there while my daughters finger was turning blue. They removed it cleanly without hurting my daughter. GREAT JOB! I will always buy my jewelry from them.

I have been a customer of Days Jewelers now for over 5 years and I couldnt be happier with saying that. I really wanted to purchase a wedding ring so I could ask my beautiful partner to marry me. I wasnt in the best of financial circumstances due to some challenges along the way but they were able to work out a payment plan with me that has been awesome for my budget. The ring was perfect, she said yes and I am one happy man! Thank you Days Jewelers and to all that work there. I have found that in both the S. Portland store and the Waterville store the service is excellent. The people are helpful without being pushy. They listen to you and make good suggestions to suit your needs. The store carries high quality products at realistic, competitive prices.

Ive done business with Days in South Portland for years. In fact, I got my engagement ring there and had several Mothers rings made up for my mother, who has since passed away and I always used real stones for the Mothers ring and the Grandmothers ring for my Mom. Ive also, bought earrings and other things from Days and Ive always been satisfied. Keep up the good work!

We purchased our wedding bands here three years ago and it was the easiest process (I was worried it would be daunting like most things on the to do list for the wedding). We found exactly what we wanted and had the best help doing so. A year later my husband went back and purchased a matching band for our anniversary and again had great customer service and no issues purchasing without me knowing and surprising me. Days is our go to place for any jewelry needs.

I was so happy with my experience at Days in South Portland when I purchased my wedding ring! The associate that helped me was so sweet, and very patient. I kept flip flopping between a couple different designs, and I appreciated her input on how the different styles looked with my infinity engagement ring. I wanted a straight band to accompany it instead of the curved matching ring, and we finally found it! Plus, my now husband bought the engagement ring at that same Days so I got a discount for buying the wedding band there! Their customer service is top notch, they send me deals and coupons (but dont fill my inbox) and help me keep up the maintenance on my rings! I couldnt ask for better service! Thanks Days!!

Days Jewelers in South Portland is, by far, my favorite jewelry store. Aside from the fact that they have a beautiful store filled with both traditional and designer jewelry of all price levels, they also have some of the most amazing customer service I have ever seen. Everyone is so friendly and they do everything in their power to make you happy. I have bought jewelry and watches and also had them fix my jewelry. I have never been disappointed. I have recommended them over and over.

Took a Montblanc Sport Chronograph watch bracelet to have links added. The watch was ready in 10 minutes and when I went to pay for the sizing, usually 10 dollars, they said it wason the house. Great service and great for PR. Thank you very much, Days. I appreciate the gesture of goodwill.

Purchased a silver chain about a month ago for a pendant I already had. Pendant was a little old and therefore darker than the chain so they polished it for free to make them match better. The other day I went to put it on to discover the clasp had broken! In less than a month. Thats what Id expect from cheap jewelry but not from here. Brought it back hoping they could replace the clasp for free, but they gave me a whole new chain instead! I never have money to shop at nice jewelry stores like this so I didnt know what to expect or even what to ask for but the two people I talked to were very helpful and accommodating.

The employees at Days are phenomenal! They gave my fiance so much support while he was picking out the perfect engagement ring for me - I cannot thank them enough & my ring is stunning! My husband has been a loyal customer for a long time, granted we dont buy often but when he does, its usually a decent amount of money. I am disappointed for my husband and so I thought I would share this. My husband bought me some beautiful gold wheat chains with pendants and one of them broke up where the clasp is, now when these chains were purchased he was told they can hold a brick, very strong, very durable. Well I had brought my chains in to be cleaned and to repair the one that had broke, and was told that it would be $30.00 dollars to fix! Are you kidding me???? The chains that are durable enough to hold a brick!! WOW. Well my husband was upset and had called and he was told that it would be only $9 dollars and that being said we were happy. Well I go yesterday and pick up my chain/pendant and it rang up for $30.00! We were so disappointed, my husband was disappointed, he said; but I called, I spoke with someone, that means, never mind, no more days. So we were both disappointed. Does anyone do business where loyalty counts any more???

Great customer service from Bruce! He answered all our questions where other stores had been dismissive of our interest in Hi-Tech Ceramic wedding bands, and made my engagement ring look like new! He even gave me a free tub of cleaner and taught me how to better care for my jewelry! Thanks Bruce, well be back!

My family has been doing business with Days for almost ten years. They even came up with a custom diamond palm tree necklace for my mom. Just today they sent me a jewelry polishing cloth and a tub of cleaner at NO expense of mine! The customer service is unparalleled. We never feel like customers with them, but rather family friends. We trust them; theyre not trying to just make a sale. Theyre not pushy or standoffish like mall jewelry stores. They want to hear about you and what youre looking for and why. They really are committed to helping you. Until the day I die I will be an advocate for Days for quality jewelry pieces and excellent customer service.
