Had two recent visits to the Des Moines, IA Ingersoll branch. The first visit was with Danny and the second was with Sith. We were greeted immediately upon entering the bank and were waited upon very soon after. Ive been experiencing some challenges with my account at Veridian Bank. Despite opening my account 7 months ago, lve been unable to deposit money through their ATM machine and have had to physically visit the branch to resolve the issue. Recently, I encountered another issue when I tried to deposit cash while traveling in Denver, Colorado. Unfortunately, my card didnt have sufficient funds, and I was stuck at a gas station. When I contacted the bank the next day, they were unable to assist. THINK TWICE BEFORE OPENING AN ACCOUNT WITH THIS USELESS BANK.

Had a signing appointment and arrived to find documents were not prepared, looked like we were going to have to push everything back a week and reschedule contractors, etc. Scott I. at the Ingersoll branch threw up a Hail Mary to reach an underwriter - Anna F. - who was able to get in touch with a processor - Holly Y. - (via fb no less!) who was willing to go overtime on a Saturday to get us the papers to sign! I could not believe first of all the persistence of Scotts efforts to make this happen, especially knowing it was probably not going to yield results, and secondly that it actually did! I was fully prepared to leave disappointed, and yet this amazing team managed the impossible. I am so impressed by these dedicated professionals, and thankful we are able to move forward on our home project. Thank you so very much! :)

If I could give a rating for this business based on one person, loan officer Josue Prado would get 5 stars. He has helped me through a new car loan, a fraud alert, and a HELOC. Im not a fan of numbers, balancing my checkbook, or making a budget. But he is professional and personable. I cant in good conscience give 5 stars because the parking lot isnt great and theres usually a line in the lobby. However, the lot is not the fault of the business, and the line shows the number of people who choose to use this service; much like a waiting list at a restaurant means the food and service must be great. I will continue to go back to Ingersoll Veridian.

Ive had nothing but excellent experiences at this branch. Most recently, I asked about how I could up my credit limit. I got my first and only ever credit card from them a couple of years ago. Ive been with them longer and have a good history with them. Ive paid everything on time. I was initially approved for 500, but Scott Iler went above and beyond and got me approved for 5,500. The whole process took about 15 minutes. He was friendly, professional, and absolutely knowledgeable. He made sure I understood the process before he went ahead and started the process. As this requires a hard inquiry to do. Side note, shout-out to the tellers at this branch as well. Super friendly and knowledgeable. Thank you for your hard work and the experience.

Veridian credit union Ingersoll branch try to steal my cash deposit on multiple occasions I went through their drive-through to deposit cash couple of times they took my cash and did not put it in my Account. Of course they say it was a mistake yeah yeah banks only make mistakes when taking customer money but never will they make a mistake to put additional money in your account got it . be very careful when working with them always check your account balance that s what safe me from being rob.

Unbelievably disappointed with the Veridian Ingersoll location. I spent 40min trying to just complete Western union transaction that was already started on my phone app. So, on the end with all employees present at that location, I had to walk out without completed transaction, and was told Go to Hyvee and send the money, we can pull cash from your account for you. No one knew how, or no one could do it. I have not expected that to happen, not at Veridian. Im not sure how that location conducts busines if such simple task cannot be completed. Like I said, very very disappointed. Now I realize that Im actually very happy with my Johnston location and service. However, sad thing is, I did have to go to Hyvee after work to complete the transaction. Thanks

I still use this Financial institution years after moving out of state. They have they best customer support ever. Everytime I call, they take care of everything swiftly and promptly. The people on the phone will even just have a friendly chat with you even if it has nothing to do with you account balance. I will never ever close my account with veridian credit union.

I am convinced that there is only ONE person working the drive thru EACH AND EVERY time that I have been here. Ive came around noon, morning, right before close. EVERYTIME I am waiting for at the very least 20 minutes. Ive pulled in before a couple of cars, it took the canister forever to come back from the previous person, so now two people have gone before me!!!! I loved Veridian before I moved to Des Moines. Not so much anymore

This branch constantly makes up their own rules that no other veridian location seems to be using. I ve been a business customer with veridian for over 2 years and I usually visit the Johnston location. I started coming to this branch because my children switched daycare s and it s on my route. Every single time I come here there s an issue with something. The last time I waited over and hour because they put a new rule in place the night before when I dropped off my deposit. Upon picking it up I didn t have my ID as I ve never been asked and they gave me so many issues getting my money even though I knew the exact deposit amount, change order amount and the business info. I asked them to send a verification text to me so that I could get to work and that took even longer. I ended up opening my store late because of this. The manager was very snooty and acted as if I was bothering her because they held up my day. Today I came through to drop off my deposits and now I m being told that I m not allowed to place change in my deposits if I use the drive thru it was a few cents per deposit and I ve NEVER been told this at any other branch. When I was asking the teller questions because I was genuinely baffled she rushed off the intercom and kept telling me to have a good day because she didn t want to answer my inquiries. These have to be the RUDEST people in banking. After the previous issue I stopped depositing my card transactions into this account and I ve only been bringing cash as little as possible to make sure the account does not go negative. After today I will be closing the account altogether.

My husband and I share a bank account, that just happens to not have my name on it, even though at one point, half the account total had been contributed by me. I came in and asked if i could exchange my own 20 dollar bill, for two rolls of quarters, even bringing our checking information to prove the account. I could tell that the teller i was talking to wanted to help, but his managers were quick to not give me any kind of service. Would not recommend this financial institution, simply due to the terrible customer service.

This is the worst Veridian location in Des Moines. I would avoid it at all costs. The bank tellers have very poor customer service and are just flat out rude

Working in customer service for almost half of my life, I was always taught that no matter what youre doing, you always greet the customer as they come in. I walked in and no one said anything. I am not hurt by it but I like to critic my experiences when I come into places that are supposed to treat customers with good customer service. I did not feel any warmth from the people working there. Barely any smiles. I know that sometimes work can get hectic but a smile makes a difference.

Been with the bank for over 5 years. Hold a lot of money in my account. They would not give me 5 one hundred dollar bills. Said they had to give me a mix. Was very disappointed as it was for a card. Teller was very rude.

The branch on Ingersoll Avenue in Des Moines Iowa is very hard to get in and out of their parking lot or even to use the drive-up teller! Plus their tellers are rude as can be! I will drive 15 miles put of my way to go to a different branch for now on! Love the credit union but that branch on Ingersoll Ave needs to teach their tellers to have better attitudes!!

One more time I get charged over draft fee Im out I had again another one but again didnt have the money in my account and still took it out. Didnt approve the transaction and called for them to refund me that money now I wont get the over draft fee off my account. Will be looking for another bank if this wont get resolved

Tellers cannot close out accounts. Seems very weird to me. Required me to make an appointment or call in to have funds mailed. I would not recommend opening up an account here, not very user friendly.

Im giving a 5-star rating because I experienced exceptional customer service. Yes on some occasions the drive-thru may be a little busy but you got to count for the day of the week because some days are busier than others. I find it kind of odd that folks are being charged fees at this particular Credit Union I myself have never experienced that and hope I never will have to. I am kind of curious as to when the Veridian will open back up in Hy-Vees?

Service has changed since the virus and not for the better... THEY SHOULD NOT CHARGE YOU THE FEE TO PAY OVER THE PHONE UNTIL ALL BRANCHES ARE OPEN. Then start back up. I live on the Eastside of town and drive to Southside to pay. now I have to go to ingersoll to pay, so I dont have to pay the fee. ( which could be used for dinner, thanks)

27 cars waiting to get through the drive up and not even all the drive up lanes are open this credit Union is not part of the share network of Iowa credit unions so it is not a full service credit Union.

Ive banked at Veridian for a long time now and have always had good service from them but I had an absolutely outstanding experience at this location a couple months ago. I went in to sign some simple paperwork that I had started on line and was expecting to have to wait for someone in an office to open up but the teller, I think his name was Danny, pulled it up and was able to get everything taken care of for me on the line in a matter of minutes. He really took charge of the situation and exceeded my expectations. Always happy to see good and empowered tellers like this.

I started going to Veridian Credit Union because it was convenient. Then I did not have a charge every month for my checking account which was great. As I look at Veridian and how it helps people in many ways (just a pleasurable experience adding or withdrawing money and the tellers are so helpful) I would suggest people seriously look at credit unions. There is a wealth of services for everybody. I have recommended credit unions to people who are looking for a car loan because the rates for members are lower than banks. Take a look at credit unions near you. They could fit you better than the financial institution you are with now.

I went in to file a dispute a couple weeks ago & the msr there refused to summit the report. I told the lady that I had already talked to the merchant about it but said they couldn t do anything about it reversing the transaction & I had to talk to my FI, which I did. Still she refused to do it. She asked if it was a fraud & I told her no I m trying to dispute a transaction which then she proceeded to say that Visa does not deal with disputes only fraud. I kept repeating myself & trying to get her to summit the dispute for me but she refused to so I got irritated & deceied to walk away instead of being rude. I called Visa & they said they could help me but first I should try Veridians costumer service since the teller wouldn t help. I called Veridians customer service & I told them the exact same thing & guess what they did? They filed my dispute for me. A couple days later I got my money back. All that phone process took about an hour while she could of just done her job in the first place & taken a few minutes but refused to. See I personally wouldn t of even cared if I got the money back it s that fact that she didn t even bother to try to help & summit it. I don t know if she refused because she s much much older & I m younger & didn t think I would try something else, thought I was an idiot or if shes flat out racist. Either way what a joke.

Veridian Credit Union is a great alternative to more traditional Banks. On average they offer much better interest rates on just about all the products they sell. Lower rates on home loans, car loans, personal loans, Etc... As well as they pay higher rates on money market accounts, savings accounts, and CDs. This location is a nice added location to their chain, as it is easily accessible at the corner of Martin Luther King Boulevard and Ingersoll Avenue, and the interior of the building has a nice layout, and is very comfortable.

JOSE FELICIANO - THIS LOCATION DISCRIMINATES AGAINTS NATIONALITY , I went in 5 times to create an account and every time they asked me for a different document that prooved nationality and residence on top they where very rude the 5th try I just crossed to Bankers Trust a bank with even more strict policies and where more that happy to help me .Im Puertorican weve been US citizens since march 3 ,1917 over a hundred years ago .people in that bank are very under educated .

Very slow drive thru if you hit it when busy I ve spent 30 mins I m the drive thru line, but if you go at a Non busy time it moves faster. Overall friendly staff!

Simply cant stand how often the outside ATM is at this facility is out of order. One of the biggest reasons I signed up for this credit union was because it is near my job and not too far from home and I hate paying atm fees-one of my biggest petpeves. Very often I need to withdraw cash from my account so I need something nearby but 90% of the time this atm is temporarily under maintenence Something that just may make me leave them.
