I have been a member of Elements Financial Credit Union for many years. They have a fantastic customer service group. Their agents and specialists have always assisted me with excellence. Elements offers a variety of financial products for borrowing and saving. I have been very pleased with my checking, savings, and CD accounts; their dividend rates are highly competitive. I can't say enough about the online banking. The website and phone app's work flawlessly, and I use them regularly. The Elements VISA credit card offers both cash back or rewards, and they also offer VISA debit cards. The Elements Financial security features are strong, and I know my assets are safe. I recommend to anyone searching for a bank or credit union, to switch to Elements Financial.

We got introduced to Elements when we were starting to look for our first home and needed a mortgage pre-approval. Janai was our mortgage loan originator and she helped us get the pre-approval and our final mortgage too. Not only did Janai find us a loan with amazing interest rate, she was superb in answering all our questions, holding our hand through all the paperwork, and helping us navigate through some mishaps (which are bound to happen with such a long process). Most importantly, you could tell she was genuinly interested in helping us! I highly recommend Elements.

Denied my application & lied as to the reason why. 1 Being that I dont & never have had any delinquencies on my account! & I have no substantial debt besides 1 car note, & they stated I have no sufficient car history when I paid off a whole new car 2 yrs early, never a late payment, with a credit score over 700 so I wouldnt recommend I wouldve been ok with being denied if they didnt LIE! If you got I approved here I wonder how

I am a 17 year retiree. I/we started using the Credit Union as soon as we realized we could, maybe 40 to 50 years, whenever it was offered. We have used it for home mortgage, several automobile loans, multiple accounts - savings and checking. It is so easy to get to online and if you have a question an actual person answers the phone and talks with you. Amazing service! In addition, money is so easily accessible at any credit union ATM. Not to mention our credit and debit cards that we use every day. We cannot say enough about our credit union.

Elements consistently offers excellent savings rates, its online platform is solid, and I have consistently found the people working there to be competent and efficient. Sadly, I can not say the same of some of the other credit unions with which I bank. I bank with Elements remotely (from New Mexico) and have never set foot in an Elements branch...but they make that easy to do.

Ive been a member from Elements for years. I had a previous loan with them and it was pretty decent. Recently, I had a very negative experience. I applied online for a refinance auto loan. I received and email by one of the loan officers stating that I was approved(07/03/23). I tried to reach the loan officer to move forward with this and she was pretty much unreachable, I called and email multiple times until I finally got a call on (07/07), once on the phone, in my opinion the loan officer was being shady with the way she approached the call, pushing hard for products as if they were a requirement for doing the loan, the numbers she gave me didnt really added up. She also told me I had to get a new rate because the rate had changed even though I had everything ready to move forward since the approval date 07/03. This was all due to this person carelessness/negligence. I requested a different loan officer to call me. I was assured a person would reach out to me and that the original rate would be kept as promised but nobody did. A week after that I received an email from another loan officer with a complete different rate and despite me emailing her explaining the situation, this was ignored. I am truly disappointed I dont believe refinancing a car should be this complicated and loan officers have an obligation to provide good service and to abstain from deceptive practices.

I was buying a used car and forgot my checkbook (I was in another town). I called Elements to ask if they could temporarily increase the limit on my debit card to cover the cost of the car (the money was in my checking account). They could not do the whole amount, but a large chunk of it, and I had it within an hour. Very good service!

AVOID ELEMENTS FINANCIAL!! Absolutely terrible experience with my new auto loan here. Have spent two months now trying to link an external account to make a payment to my loan. Zero progress with zero help from customer service. I ve had to pay multiple fees just to pay my loan payment over the phone!! I have been given NO other option thus far to successfully pay on my own from an external account.

We got our mortgage through Elements Financial in 2018 and it was a really good experience! We did manual underwriting because we do not use debt of any kind so we dont have credit scores. The staff were thorough, professional, and on top of it. We got 3.75 interest rate and NO PMI! We LOVE Elements and dont let anyone tell you you have to have a credit score to get a mortgage!!

We worked with Elements Financial for our mortgage (in AZ) and they were amazing!! As people who had no credit scores (because we dont use debt products), they were able to help us via the manual underwriting process. They knew exactly what we needed and handled the process from start to finish professionally and promptly. We were first time home buyers and they walked us through every step, were so easy to work with and made the process as seamless as possible. I will never use Elements in the future for mortgage. They put me through the roughest stress episodes in my life twice. I applied for my second house and they approved for a conventional then because their employee did not ask the right questions one week before closing switched me to an ARM. They also took two mortgage payments in one month, when I asked for refund they made the process as hard and inefficient as hell. I have to be fair. They have good rates. But they also have non compationate and non knowledgeable employees.

We got our Mortgage through Elements Financial and it was done 100% online. We didnt even have to visit a branch to buy our home. They also sent a sweet gift when we went to the Title company to sign our papers. I ALWAYS recommend Elements Financial to everyone I know.

Worst ever they send threatening letters to repo vehicles and impact loan on false claims when proven wrong they hang up they refuse to accept the title as it shows there name on it saying they are not on it they are a scam be ware!!!! Will be sueing them if they touch anything of mine! They breach contract and feel they dont owe anything but if one of us breach a contract they would take our kids if they could !!

I have my bank accounts, mortgage, and car loan through Elements. Both the mortgage and car loan had the best quoted interest rates so it was a no brainer to go through Elements. I was a first time home buyer and they had a special program specifically for first time buyers (no PMI!). I was even able to refinance my mortgage quickly and as painlessly as possible. Everyone I have dealt with has been incredibly helpful and thorough. When an issue cropped up with adding my husband to my accounts it was quickly fixed. I will definitely continue using Elements for myself and my familys financial needs.

After a bit of a rocky communication issue, Elements had owned up to their mistake and made things right. Since then, Ive had nothing but great service so far. I look forward to building a relationship over time with Elements. I do like that I can go to several places to do free ATM transactions and not just a specific bank. It actually makes it easier to do business. A few of those places are CVS, Kroger and Speedway. Those are all frequent stops for me, so it makes it easier than seeking a bank. I would recommend Elements if you were thinking about it.

They have very friendly customer service, but they are usually unable to resolve my issues with online banking. They always have to call you back when you have a question. They dont issue temporary debit cards... the list can go on forever with how much you can be inconvenienced if this is your primary bank. Maybe good to use them for a home loan or to park your savings, but I really dont suggest setting up a primary personal or business account with Elements.

Very disappointing . Tried to close account for 6 weeks because we moved out of state. Almost $2,000.00 in the account and was sent a check for $.02 and when asked for an answer was informed I had to wait until Monday because they could not help me. NOT OK.

I received frequent pop-ups elements telling me they could save me thousands on my car loan. after repeated pop-ups I finally clicked and applied .I promptly got a denial letter saying I was delinquent on too many accounts I had too high a balance on my revolving credit, and the vehicle loan balance was also too high. I always pay the vehicle on time and I pay extra, my credit cards have zero balances and Im not delinquent in anything so way to insult potential customers. I would not recommend wait I would recommend you to my worst enemy. thanks for nothing

Being a new dentist in the field looking to buy for a first time house, I thought obtaining a mortgage loan should be pretty straightforward with my salaray - 120K/year. We started our prepproval process on September 12, 2018 and at that time my salary was only about $6000/month since I wasnt full time yet. I needed to have a better credit score >700 to be preapproved. Stacy Ashby also advised us to not use my wifes credit score since it would hurt us and to only use mine. Stacy Ashby also informed me that I told her I was making around $9000/month at the time. Stacy Ashbys claim was 100% false as I rechecked the original application and the two pay stubs I uploaded totaled about $6000/month. So for the last 4 months we worked on that and now my credit score is 706. Fastforward to December - I am now a full time dentist averaging around $9500/month in gross income with a credit score of 706. Our preapproval mortgage health professional loan was preapproved no problem for $200,000 about 2 weeks ago - January 16th, 2019. We then decided we loved the house and made an offer for $170,000. After the offer, we informed our Elements loan broker, Stacy Ashby, that we would like to be preapproved for only $170,000 since the house only cost that much. My contract for the dental office states that I should have started full time November 1, 2018, but due to the delay in the new office construction I could not be full time until December 1, 2018. Therefore, Stacy Ashby requested a Written Verification of Employment form and my job contract so that the underwriter could see this as proof. My boss wrote out the WVOE and filled out the VOE and sent them both back within 3 hours time. Last evening we received another call stating that because my pay stubs dont add up about $10,000 a month and that they cannot confirm I am actually making that much money. Fast forward to this morning 1/25/19 - Stacy Ashby said she would have her manager or VP, Carla, call on a conference call with her to let me know exactly why I wasnt approved for the $170,000 mortgage loan. Stacy Ashby straight out said that she falsley claimed my salary was $9000/month back in September when she did the original application. She said she misspoke and accidentally recorded that. Again the reasoning was the same for not approving. Because our dental office took a week off for christmas/ new years my first real full time pay stub wasnt until January. Well because my dental office took off a week I did not get paid for a week in the last week of December and THEY ARE USING THIS exactly to say that I am not making enough money to qualify for this loan EVEN THOUGH I was preapproved for a $200,000 loan and making less money 2 months ago. Now, Elements and Stacy have suggested to go back and apply for a non-health professional loan with my wifes credit score within 2 weeks of closing our house. EVEN THOUGH Stacy advised us back in September to not use my wifes credit score because it was too low and to only increase mine >700. As far as my response time to their requests - everytime I have been sent something from Elements I have responded within an hours time if I am not in surgery. I have never worked with a company or a person who has advised me to do so many opposite things of what they already told me to do. WARNING: TO all new graduate dentists - please be careful when applying through Elements. Make sure they are 100% straight up with you in the beginning. If you are not making at least $10,000/month then it will be very very difficult to obtain a lot even if you are a first time homebuyer, credit score>700, and dont have to ask for any closing cost help on the house. This has been a nightmare of a process for my wife and I especially as first time homebuyers. I feel as if it is my ethical responsibility to inform other new docs of my situation in case they too run into the same thing. ADDENDUM TO POST: NORTHPOINTE BANK has approved our loan! No headaches, straightforward, no guessing or making up stuff!! Thank you NORTHPOINTE!

I have worked with Elements multiple times over many years (closed on five different mortgages with them) and must admit that they are far and away one of the best financial institutions I have ever worked with. The professionals there jumped through many hoops at the end of our last closing despite complications, such as having a property situated on an island. They were responding to questions after hours and on weekends to get it all done in time for our preferred closing date. Can not say enough about the professionalism and value-add of the team there!

I grew up in a small town, and it was common for bank employees to greet you by name, and to make you feel important. Elements is exactly like that...except its in a big city. Really nice staff. Easy business transactions. And they actually listen! I hope that never changes.

Miranda and Justin have been very helpful in both transitioning me from my old bank into Elements and assisting me in attaining services that my previous bank failed to provide when I was in need. They are both very knowledgeable in their fields, respond quickly to all inquiries, and provide the human element that bigger banks appear to lack. I just finished refinancing my mortgage with Elements Financial and it was an absolutely perfect experience! The initial online application was easy, clear, and thorough and I was contacted by a knowledgeable and friendly representative within an appropriate amount of time. He gave me the details about where my application stood and, importantly, he gave me the time I needed to get back to him. Not once did he call again or email me to pressure me into continuing the process. Another company that I was considering (NOT Elements) actually harassed me after I made the initial inquiry and they were rude and defensive when I did not return their call. I actually blocked their phone number, it got so bad. The entire process with Elements went very smoothly and EVERYONE I dealt with was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. I needed to refinance by a deadline and Elements worked diligently to make sure my deadline was met. In fact, I even had several days to spare! I 100% recommend refinancing a mortgage with Elements. Sean and Janene were fantastic!

Based on a recent in-branch visit, I am very pleased with the level of customer service I received this week. It was my pleasure to be assisted by Jennifer Hooker Loan Operations Team Lead regarding my recent Auto Loan. I called with some very specific questions pertaining to my financial contract. Jennifer forwarded my questions up the ladder and called me back promptly, with in the day, as well as emailed me requested documents. This is my first experience with Elements. Great experience would recommend El menta for anyone looking to get a car loan Mrs.Roberts, Mrs. Laria and Gina worked quickly to get my loan approved and the check cut in a just a few hours. The easiest car buying experience I have ever had! Elements is a bigger credit union but still has maintained the smaller ELFCU customer centric feel!

My experience so far has been HORRIBLE. I should have known when the loan officer, Stacy McDaniel, called at the last minute for us to sign docs. So we signed the on February 28th. As of today 21 days later they still have not paid of our old loan. To make matters worse. They will not return your calls. For the last 5 days Ive got every excuse In The book , yes, they are busy ripping you off to call you back. They get a 20 day payoff, still havent paid loan. I should have gotten a refund if this had been taken care of in a timely manner,. Now Im getting calls from old lender my loan is past due. Disgusted!! Btw, Stacy still hasnt returned 1 of my 5 messages left. Dont do business with them. Youll be sorry. In all fairness I would like to update my experience. I would like to thank Katie Freestone. For getting back to me and taking care of this unpleasant experience. She handled the situation and followed up with me. Thank you Katie Jodi Hall

Dealing with financials after going through a divorce is not something either my husband nor I looked forward to. Its very personal looking at numbers that represent the fallout from a divorce. However, through the opening of a new Elements joint checking account to applying for a debt consolidation loan, the experience was not only pleasant but a constant attitude of We are here to help was present. I have sincerely appreciated the customer service and the personal care I have received by becoming a member of Elements Financial Credit Union! My finances have been simplified and better utilized, and I am better educated on the benefits of a credit union. The shared branching is beneficial for me since I m not in the Indianapolis area. I switched from my long time banking institute to Elements last October and I could not be happier. The reps are very friendly and helpful. Ive been a member for nearly 30 years and the reason I remain loyal is based on the consistent, quality service and the efficiency in how they handle the products they have. Ive experienced many changes with the credit union over that time frame but Ive always felt they have been there for me as part of their community of members. I have experienced challenges as well but they have always been met professionally and usually resolved quickly. My positive experience has extended over to my family as well as now my kids are members and having the same positive experiences themselves. Keep up the great work!

So I was a first home buyer and bought through Elements. It was a great experience. They were always very helpful and they have/had a program for 1st time home buyers. I was able to choose from a list of realtors that have a good reputation, interview them, then select. We received a reduced commission fee and didnt have to pay PMI on the mortgage. Additionally, the fixed rate we received couldnt be matched (that I could find). Would choose again!

I first heard about Elements through my job. They partnered with my company to provide financial services for their employees. Its honestly pretty awesome! They would provide classes about anything and everything about your personal finances. This was awesome for me. I had just graduated from college with a real adult jobs and needed to know how to save my money, apply for a car loan, invest some money and eventually get a loan for a house. I would HIGHLY recommend Elements to anyone that is needing help.

Elements Financial managed my HSA while I was employed at Angie s List. They were my first ever credit union and my experience to date has been excellent. I have since moved employers but Elements remains my credit union of choice.

I moved to Indianapolis, IN in 2010 and since that time Elements Financial Credit Union of Indianapolis has managed my HSA. My experience to date with Elements Financial Credit Union of Indianapolis has been nothing but wonderful! I ve never had an issue accessing my HSA funds to purchase prescriptions or pay for medical visits. I have no doubt that Elements Financial Credit Union of Indianapolis will be my credit union of choice for years to come!

Ive been living in my home for 3 years. This past summer, we started receiving the previous homeowners financial/mortgage info/statements in the mail. After sending multiple statements back, I reached out to Elements Financial several times about the situation. I continued to receive statements and in December, I contacted a supervisor with Elements Financial. He assured me he would take care of the issue and had me mail one of their statements directly to him, which i did. This month, I received ANOTHER statement AND their tax info. I am so frustrated that this company doesnt seem to have any regard for this familys personal info. I filed a BBB complaint last night hoping to get this situation resolved.

Elements is a fantastic credit union. The customer service is very efficient and informative . Everyone I have worked with has been very professional and pleasant. They have created a very user friendly app that has been extremely easy to navigate. I also love how many atms I can use without having to pay a fee! I have no complaints about this company and would highly recommend joining.

Absolute worst service ever. They have lost over $13,000 dollars of mine in the past week. They dont know where it is, but they are looking into it....its been a week. ZERO call back, I have called 3 times to leave messages to contact me. No return. Tomorrow Im contacting state agencies as well as Federal agencies to get these idiots to do their job and give me my money. I have 6 accounts with these morons. I will be closing each and everyone of them. Dont waste your time with these worthless people.

Wanted to pay off my HELP loan. Took 5 phone calls, couldnt write the check on t=your sight . They had problems with the system. Got a call back after 5 p.m., got to pay interest for an additonal day and then got charged $10.00 for them to perform the transaction. Very difficult phone system, have to use other branches that do not know your services in Terre Haute. I hope you read this, Lisa and Mark... Your services are nowhere near a stellar mark. 2.5 hours of my time!

worst customer service possible! I would give no stars if I could. I tried to pay my car note and I was unable to answer a security question. I wasnt asking for account info, I just wanted to pay my bill. the rep said that I cant pay unless I answer the security question. This is absolutely ridiculous. if a stranger wants to pay my bill, let them... I have never heard of a company not willing to except payment, especially since it is coming out of the same account that I have been paying out of for over a year.

This place is always putting my account on hold for SOMETHING! I had to call in every other day last week so they would take a hold off of my account. When I do call in, they send me on a wild goose chase and say that I am not accessing my account correctly, which ends up with me calling them again because what they told me didnt work.

Traded my vechile today. Tried to get my final payoff on the vechile but was told I had to have some kind of password which I never had even set up any info with these guys. To beat it all I havent even made the first payment on the account and have them tell me we cant see your account when I had the account number in hand when talking to these people. Stay Stay Away

They are horrible! I was transferred 3 times for a lousy credit increase request on my credit card which at the end they said someone has to call you back! Horrible service since your merger!

Would post 0 stars if I could. This credit union use to be wonderful when it was ELFCU, since they went public and changed their name to elements, it has gone down hill. The credit union use to be for the members, now they are all about the bottom line. They took out the ATMs that accepted deposits because it cost money, this is not convenient for people on the opposite side of the site from the credit union nor for the ones that work nights. The last car loan I got was a nightmare to deal with. The person that set it up, didnt set it up correctly, never responded to emails nor phone calls. Unfortunately other co-workers have had her and warned me (my fault for not asking for who did my other current loan, she was wonderful). Everything they said about her was true, incompetent, but they continue to keep her. It is disappointing knowing how they use to be and where they are now. Time to bank somewhere else
